A very cosy, atmospheric pub, with friendly, helpful staff. As a small family group we were made very welcome and enjoyed our first visit. Would definitely return to this pub.

We booked for a funeral 'celebration' and from the initial discussions through to the actual day, the staff could not have been more helpful. The food on the day was superb, catering for 80 people. Tayla managed the whole process from start to finish, including setting up the picture slideshow on the TV screen. The service at the bar was also excellent, with only one barmaid still able to minimise queueing. The staff helped to make the whole day into a joyous celebration. Couldn't be faulted ...

Was honestly a lovely atmosphere full of young and old. Food was average pub food slightly cold and dry, however I was disgusted to see how the manager was acting, I don’t think I’ve seen a more rude woman in this industry before. Face like a slapped a*s, no manners, she should seriously think about how she acts around her customers. Sorry for the rant but I think it’s awful.

Staff here are always super friendly, Gaynor is always welcoming and the food here is fab- highly recommend the chicken strips and the chicken tacos on the small plates! Staff were great about dietary requirements, some people in my family have severe nut allergies or are gluten free and this wasn't a problem. My mum loved the cheesy garlic ciabatta and there's a couple of beers on that I really like including Guiness, Coors and Madri. Have been multiple times and will be back 100%. Also events and live music on Saturdays is always a great laugh with decent music.

Came in for a bit of lunch and what a total disappointment food was shocking fish murdered to a crisp gravy was warm and lumpy Total disappointment 2 out of 10

I recently dined here with my partner who tried the mixed grill. The meat was good, but he was disappointed in the lack of peppercorn sauce served (which was at an additional cost as well). I ordered the veggie burger, which came with marinara sauce instead of the expected BBQ sauce. The bun was burnt and too hard, and it was missing the cheese and salad that was supposed to come with it as well. If we weren’t in such a rush I would’ve asked for a new one. The meal was on the expensive side for what we received, and we were overall a bit disappointed.

Excellent staff great food value for money we live south of Liverpool but come up once a month and always come to the coach & horses. Great for families. Taylor served us she’s lovely friendly very welcoming nothing was to much trouble.

Not been since they have had a makeover and what a difference! Food is absolutely amazing as is the service, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Highlight for us was the food, Thank you to the chef and the kitchen team for doing such an amazing job 👍 highly recommend and will be back soon.

I come in a couple of times a week to have a game of darts but they also have a pool table. it's got a good atmosphere, all the staff are super friendly would defo recommend

Great game of pool with the boys (9 & 12) (on a contactless pool table :-), then lunch and drinks. One of the nicest plates of halloumi (with hot honey) ever! Heather looked after us from start to end and did a great job! Thanks Team... Had a lovely couple of hours!

All of the staff are smashing here. Heather served us today and she is super friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough for a very warm welcome. The food and drink is excellent value for money. The pub itself is clean and comfortable with really lovely gardens front and back. It's great for families and non families.

We visited on 4th July at 1.30ish. The female member of staff who served us, her service was exceptional! She couldnt have done anything better. Customer service and food was amazing 👏

Used this venue for a funeral party. Would recommend this venue. Brilliant service by all the staff. Stress free and want to say thank you to Gaynor and Tayla for organising and keeping family and friends happy throughout the day and providing a great buffet. Food was really good value and really good quality. Atmosphere gets a one as my partner was wolf whistled at twice by the yobs in the corner on her way to and from the toilet. Funnily enough didn't do this when I walked out with her. Won't be returning

We celebrated our baby’s christening at the coach and horses and they were absolutely brilliant!! Can’t thank you enough for putting on the most gorgeous buffet for us and setting up our cake and bunting so lovely. A special thank you to Tayla and Cass for going above and beyond for our family and friends. Highly recommend. Food was lovely and service was amazing!

Used to be thriving few yrs back had great friendly crowd always thriving but know they were not everyone's cup of tea only been back few times since takeover last Summer sadly not anymore even though Matty n Staff are kind and much better than few yrs back was surprised jukebox had been ripped out

Went today for a kids easter party which was good and ordered food however the food was awful! The kids pizzas were cold and were soggy where they'd been frozen and not heated enough, I asked for them to be replaced they came back the same pretty much the manager came over and asked me was they OK I said not really picked the pizza up and water dripped off it onto the plate literally! So she said it must be the batch of them the kids left them my meal was supposed to have onion rings I asked and the manager said yes did I not get any which I didn't she said il refund your meal I said don't worry as didn't want to make a fuss to which she said no I will and said I don't know whats going on with the chef today half an hour later nothing so asked a member of staff for the manager and my refund she said shel come and see you now another half an hour went by nothing as I left she was nowhere to be seen so did not get refunded anything! Its a shame because its a nice pub with a nice beer garden but I would never get food there again! My mum had said to me to let her know how it was as she wanted to book in but non of us would order food from here again!

For the 3rd time of ordering meals here & there was another problem. This time the senior meal deal finished at 6pm we were told & it was 4 mins past. Nothing on the menu's to indicate this. We all went to another pub to eat. Won't be visiting again to eat, which is a pity as the pub itself has had a really nice makeover.
