Always a warm welcome, great service and a good pint at the George. Food is spot on too. My daughter loves visiting here with me. Really kid friendly. The staff are a credit to the Manager, who is a really nice chap and a great host. I highly recommend The George.

Had their breakfast, steak meal & Thai curry - all the food was lovely. Had by 3 different people. Had Thai curry again, it was that nice. We all like the people as their attentive, the place is warm & welcoming. We have been in the morning / afternoon & their always quick serving food. Is clean & has plenty of space, out doors as plenty of space to - we just had chips in the sun around 3 o'clock & chips came quick & hot. Like I said service is always fast. I don't know, why it's not busier. Beautiful hidden gem x

Beer was fine, but toilets really do need attention. Floor was awash, and locks on the doors didn't work.

Shirley needs to learn how to smile and great your customers.. asked her for something and got scowled at. That is not how a customer should be treat. Ordered the cheese and bacon burger, it was greasy and tasteless.. wont be coming back again. Awful

Food lovely, staff Shirley and Vicky friendly. Vicky explained no fish which was what we ordered. So went for the tikka instead. Food was lovely

Visit on karaoke sometimes great atmosphere and singing, the organiser of the karaoke is marvelous.

Disappointed that the staff don't smile and are not welcoming in the George anymore. Possible some people have worked their far too long and so feel being polite to new faces is not worth the bother. I was really disappointed to see unfriendly behaviour towards an older American tourist.

Always a friendly face behind the bar - the staff are fabulous. Great prices for food and drink. Fantastic atmosphere for major sporting events. Plenty of screens, including a large projector screen. But please bring back the Budweiser!!!

Terrible food terrible service took an hour to come and was wrong staff blamed the app for this when we ordered at the bar and not the app not good enough wouldn’t recommend one bit

Had a lovely breakfast here the other day, the manager Karen was really welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us, we will defo be back next time we’re in Crosby!

Aimee is one of the most hard working barstaff I've had serve me. Very respectful and professional when it comes to serving customers. Reece is a sound lad who has banter with all customers who come in and makes them feel welcome. Georgia is a lovely girl who always picks the place up with her contagious smile. Natalie has always made the customers feel welcome since joining the George staff, lovely women and amazing attitude towards cheering the george staff and customers up. Karen is a lovely women with a great attitude towards the pub and everyone it welcomes from weekday to weekend. I would highly recommend the george for a family and dog welcome pub with great food and amazing atmosphere with all its customers very welcoming and all the staff even more, never let me down for a good night out.

In here often and it’s by far one of the best boozers in the village, Aimee and the rest of the staff are fantastic, if you get the chance, get in there for a pint, won’t disappoint you I promise

not been out for a long time but today me and my friend just wanted a coffee and ended up ordering a roast dinner because it looked really good on the menu £13.50 Beef roast £11.50 turkey roast ... we were very displeased because we got 3 small roast potatoes cooked from frozen 1 cauliflower 1 broccoli size of my thumb ... packet mash was terrible plenty of beef but fatty as hell most just left on the plate gravy was ok and yorkshire pudding was a good size and ok ........... when i spoke to my family they told me i should never of gone there apparently everyone knows the food is bad ... well i didn't until now so we won't be going back ever i'm afraid...

The George is a great place to go. Great value for money on food and a great pint. I had a Brixton ale and preferred it against neck oil. Staff are lovely and will do anything for you. Highly recommended.

Waited over 1 hour for a vegan breakfast wad told would be another 10 min as they were doing something else in kitchen Waited had to leave though Bloody useless also 45 min tte tte normal for ordering there just bad. I'll never go back, not that they will miss my revenue. Good luck in future. Enjoy the money u may need it @

What a disgrace this pub was. Ordered food and after an hour we still had not received our food. My husband said to one of the staff he was having a bad day and he replied " I don't give a s*!t very unprofessional indeed will never go back. We asked for a refund and then went to The Grapes where the service was 1000% better.

A lovely greeting at the bar, excellent service and a fantastic looking pub, I was in with my kids and we felt very welcome during a busy period - what a dynamite time we will return!

Was here with 3 of my friends and it wasn’t awfully busy when we were there however the food took ages to come and when it did 2 friends got theirs first and then me and another friend was waiting another 10-15 minutes for ours by that time one of our friends had finished there food. Although the food itself was very good and worth the wait but was a bit annoying when it didn’t all come at the same time even though we paid on the app separately not too far apart from each other. The staff were very nice too. The desserts also took a while to come but they did turn up at the same time as each other this time.

Georgia was lovely she helped me and my family alot, served amazing food, was super cheap and the atmosphere was electric

Live music was ace, had the place rocking. We didn't eat here.

Food wasn't anything special but it's okay if you're just after pub grub and don't really care if it's a bit average.

Ordered 2 roasts here today, having had them in the past and satisfied, todays were disgusting warmed up processed offerings, there was more fat on my plate than beef,potatoes and veg frozen rubbish mash like rubber, the lovely waitress asked the manager to come over which he chose to ignore (probably hoping we would just leave) I'm afraid I'm fed up with not calling out poor service and quality. I'm not expecting restaurant quality food. We knew it was pub grub and standard, but not the very poor food we were given this afternoon. When we went up to the manager he agreed he himself didn't like the mash himself my other half said why on earth are you serving it then, to his credit he gave refund for for one of the meals,but please save your money the billboard outside is gross misrepresentation of the plate we received.... never so disappointed enough to write a review but feel the need to warn people.

Had lunch with my son and grandaughter here, staff are friendly and polite food was good, service was very good its a big pub with.plenty of tables to eat and reasonably priced they even had high chairs for very young children

I do not have a UK phone so cannot call you. Food was not appetizing. Bread rolls stale and inedible.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Had some lunch here whilst on a visit to the beach. The quality of the food was amazing and not to mention value for money. Would definitely recommend the bbq burger with the mac n cheese on, was delicious! Plus you got a drink included with the meal!

Really recommended, had a lovely experience here with my family, very warm and welcoming atmosphere, Staff exceptionally helpful nothing was to much very friendly and welcoming, Food was delicious cant fault at all, i have 2 quite picky children for eating and menu catered for everyone, came out well presented and in good time. really cant fault this place at all ticked all boxes for us will be back again

Went to the George last week, found it to be such a lovely pub atmosphere was lovely, food amazing and the staff were fabulous. I have problems with my mobility and the lady behind the bar was brilliant she brought everything to me, opened doors made sure we comfortable and had everything we need (i think her name was Vicki honestly she was a credit to your establishment) would recommend the George and looking forward to returning in the future.

Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food, all our party accommodated for their preferences. Great value too. Will go again.

The staff in the George are amazing. ( especially aimee) the bartender. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and the drinks came asap. The food was served to us within 10 minutes and came fresh and hot. I would highly recommend the George for anyone looking for a friendly pub with locals always up for a laugh. If your in the local area stop in and say hello all of the staff are very welcoming and more then happy to welcome everyone.

Long time since I've been in the pub, nice decor, football on the telly, toilets need attention as there was a lot of water on the floor. £5.20 for a vodka tonic!

I actually like this place and dont mind a drink here but they advertise that they are serving till 11 but i have been in numerous times now and they stop serving midweek at around 10:40 so dont expect a drink after

Good place, it's a nice bar, inside its very cozy, big, they have pool tables, the beers are very cheap, there is a menu with plenty of options to eat.

Private room for celebration, held mum's celebration for life after crematorium. Absolutely brilliant, buffet was exceptional, Scouse,ribs, cabbage, sandwiches and so much more. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks to chef's all bar staff. Outstanding.

I only popped in for about 10 minutes and decided to leave as it was quite busy and I had so little time to eat so can't really comment

Sunday Roast, football games, Guinness, WIFI, good atmosphere .... what can you ask for more .... Sunday Roast beef was tender, gravey good, yorkshire pudding good, peas and mash average, and cabbage good. Will refer The George to friends. Like to suggest adding sheppards pie to the menu. Enjoyed my last Roast, pub drink, game, good atmosphere.... on my way overseas ... looking forward to my next pub visit in Crosby ...

Visited here for a cheap lunch with my girlfriend. The food was nice and we didn't have to spend much. The portion sizes were good, and the staff were friendly.

Omg if you want a steak you need to come here I've just been and it was absolutely amazing cooked to perfection no chewy bits had with chips peas and peppercorn sauce It's out of this world and i'm coming back again Yum yum

Nice traditional pub, only problem was the wait for the food although there was very few customers in. I've been a few times and enjoy eating there.

Today's (9th July 2023) experience was slightly dissapointing, my Mum's meal (The BBQ chicken melt, usually one of her favourites), had very little sauce on it and very little cheese and the bacon was also a little overcooked. This was very dissapointing, as it's usually one of her favourite meals and she gets it frequently. Mine and my Dad's meals were fine, but it was dissapointing that they had run out of pork and orange stuffing, which my Dad was looking forward to trying. The deserts were also dissapointing, my Mum and Dad's apple pie was only just defrosted, and not very enjoyable. (they have had Apple Pie/crumble before, which they have thoroughly enjoyed), however, this one was stodgy and not that enjoyable and also appeared to be a different recipe to the one they thoroughly enjoyed last time. My own desert was still enjoyable but wasn't too keen on the toffee that was added to the chocolate fudge cake and didn't seem quite as enjoyable as usual. Last thing, at one point, I feel as though the television was a little too loud, to the point were it was getting a little uncomfortable. This is a shame, as we've attended many times to the George and usually thoroughly enjoyed the food there, however, wanted to add, the service was fine and we had no problems there. I hope that the above is remidied in future, as it would be a shame not to come back again, especially with enjoying it so much in previous visits. I hope to hear from you soon. Second visit Sunday dinner had to get change to park ordered drinks sat down .bar service one member of staff was training new staff customer infrunt off myself multiple orders eventually got attention of barstaff was informed of a 45 minute order wait extra staff finally had a Sunday meal In nags head thornton

Staff friendly especially Wanda who served us and male bar staff who served us was approachable and knowledgeable. Food was tasty, hot but could have done with a few more chips!

Went the George the other day had a meal deal katsu chicken chips and a pint of Stella the chicken come out cold in the middle I asked for a refund as you can imagine cold chicken is a no no even if it’s pre cooked beforehand was given a refund of the meal but charged full price for the pint what was wrong ! wasnt apologised to when first went up then ask for the head office email was given the wrong email address member of staff come over and said he was sorry I explain I didn’t wanna eat there as my stomach felt off sent a email as thought was unfair being charged full price for a pint the person who messaged back I guess the manager of the George ( who was there at time but didn’t come over ) said I was rude and her staff tried to help me I don’t understand where I could of been rude when clearly saying I wanted a refund and thought it was wrong paying full price when it wasn’t my mistake also the email to me says the chicken was cooked to 75 degree I can assure you the chicken was cold two other people touched it to prove this maybe this is no how you deal with a customer saying I was rude because you give me cold chicken and I complained about it not once did I raise my voice or was rude to any off your staff by the way still waiting on how I was rude you still haven’t told how I was rude ? Even with your emails saying I work on a site near and why I was having a pint then going back to the site even though I have never worked there in my life ( what is also nothing to do with me having cold chicken )

I go in the George several times a week, I find the staff very hospitable friendly and proficient, the food is excellent, Ryan,reece, Vicki,Jerry, Wanda shirly and Olivia are first class staff, Karen and Bob are first class licencees and a pillar of crosby community, and I will continue coming in and would recommend this pub to anyone

Big old pub, modernised but retaining many traditional features. Good selection of cask ales including local brews. All the usual wines, spirits, etc. The food is very good as a comparison to many other similar outlets.

what a fantastic morning we had today. breakfast with Santa WOW above & Beyond karan and robbie done a amazing job my two girls had a fabulous time and Received such great prizes. the girls really enjoyed there breakfast and the atmosphere was loving and caring with great fun all around happiness with Christmas songs i would just like to say a massive thank you to karan and her team for such a magical morning please book me in for next year 🥰 THANK YOU
