The best restaurants serving British food in Saddleworth North Oldham North West

Bakes custom made me a 30th Birthday cake box with various treats. This was during the COVID-19 lockdown so everything was done over social media messages. The service was excellent and of course was the cakes and biscuits. Would highly recommend.

Lovely pub, the service was great. The food was lovely. Will return.

Just dropped in for a drink, the food menu looks good so will have to come back again.Good selection of drinks and it felt very cosy.Will return in the summer for drinks on the terrace.

Unfortunately, not up to it's usual standard. One Sunday roast beef dinner and one lamb dinner. My husband couldn't chew the beef it was so tough. He did mention this when a staff member asked if everything had been alright. My lamb was tasteless. Probably stick with the usual evening/ lunch menu in the future, which we we usually have.

Do enjoy the lion. Especially on a sunny day. Sadly the beer selection is not great and service can be very inefficient at the bar. Seems like they need 1 more till. Food is good and big portions. Can't beat the beer garden on a sunny day and the staff are always really friendly.

Had to put up with a yapping dog. Useless dog owners! Otherwise twas very nice .

Called up to see if there was any room. Sue answered and although they were undergoing renovations she put me in touch with her friend who put me up for the night. Very kind of her to do so, and helped me out a huge amount doing the pennine way… lovely pub too full of locals. Enjoyed the local pie and a chat with everyone at the bar. Standout experience.

We were going to sit outside and order but Emma found us a seat inside- we felt very welcomed. Service was good and we really enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches. There was also a bowl of water delivered for the dogs which was a nice touch. We very much enjoyed it.

Over priced.. cafe run by silly girls. No coordination as to what menu was available and queuing time ridiculous. Won’t be going back

Visited here yesterday as a group of 12 for my birthday afternoon tea. Everything from booking to the experience itself was spectacular. The staff literally couldn’t do enough for us. The afternoon tea was delicious and every need was catered for. The staff were super attentive and we all had an amazing time. Thank you xxxx

Went on a recommendation and was lovely. Went at 10am for Saturday morning breakfast Great coffee and service. Persian eggs with chorizo were nicest I’ve ever had….family who all had the small English breakfast said was plenty and very nice. Will be back for sure!!!

Amazing food, atmosphere, staff...Jan 2025 still our favourite place to eat out for real traditional home cooked meals. 4 of us went only cost £90! Never had a bad meal lovely staff too

My wife & I used to visit this moor top inn when we were at school. Lovely to re visit especially given wonderful staff, great traditional ambience and very tasty food. We’ll come again on our visits back North. Excellent!
