The best restaurants serving British food in Saddleworth North Oldham North West

Bakes custom made me a 30th Birthday cake box with various treats. This was during the COVID-19 lockdown so everything was done over social media messages. The service was excellent and of course was the cakes and biscuits. Would highly recommend.

Great food, very busy but quick and friendly service

I think I’ve just had the worst Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. The potatoes were rick hard I couldn’t cut them with the steak knife they brought me, the veg was dry as a desert rat, the chicken was one large slab of chicken not cooked well at all. To top it all the wine was Tesco’s finest range served warm and the staff ( even though the place was quiet, which isn’t a surprise really, the staff were painfully slow). Never again will I throw £80 down the drain.

Great country pub . Great food and great service

Me and my family came in today and was able to be seated straight away as it wasn’t busy. There were 5 of us in total. Food was absolutely delicious so compliments to the chefs. I had my 5 week old baby with me and our waitress Emma was able to provide me some boiling water so I could prepare a bottle for her. She also took the baby off my hands so I were able to eat my food. Such a kind gesture and she was very accommodating. We have no complaints and will definitely be returning. So a big thank you to Emma, your service was outstanding.

Great place, we stopped for a quick drink while out for a cycle ride from Grotton food smelt lovely we had a few starts to put us on.

Really great country pub! Great atmosphere, great homemade generous portioned food and good choice of drinks. Brill walks all around are an added bonus!

Beautiful place, let down by service and food. Lovely setting, beautiful place and we were made to feel welcome. The staff were great, very friendly. We ordered and it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive, we weren’t advised there was a wait. The food was mediocre. My partner enjoyed the fish pie, my daughter the burger, my chicken supreme gnocchi was awful and everything was cold. My in laws said theirs was okay. We had sides too and they were also cold. We ordered deserts and they took about 25 mins to come and the place was almost empty at this point. It wasn’t terrible, but not good enough that we would return or recommend.

Went on a recommendation and was lovely. Went at 10am for Saturday morning breakfast Great coffee and service. Persian eggs with chorizo were nicest I’ve ever had….family who all had the small English breakfast said was plenty and very nice. Will be back for sure!!!

Hygiene questionable at the ice cream stand. Server had acrylic nails with nail varnish on, and wore no food preparation gloves. It is a basic requirement, plus a standard question even on level one food Hygiene certificate, not to handle/serve food without having false nails, varnish and any gems covered up. Edible ice cream tubs left on the counter after being filled and no napkins placed underneath them. Portions were extremely variable in size, although same size ordered. Staff require better training.

Over priced.. cafe run by silly girls. No coordination as to what menu was available and queuing time ridiculous. Won’t be going back

Great food and drinks with lovely service. Its a little pricey but worth it. The Japanese tea was lovey with very quirky tea pots. There was looses tea on sale too ... wish I'd bought some, but its a good excuse for a return visit.

Lovely but too much food it, it put me off. Shouldn't complain really. Very cramped and tables too close . But I would go again.

Had a few drinks with mates great place inside and out

Disappointed. Venue in stunning setting. Returned after not having been for several years. Lights need turning down and fires need lighting, no atmosphere. Food average nothing to write home about. Felt more like a hillside cafe than a cosy pub. Needs chairs and tables renovating. Will not back.
