To start she got the coffees wrong, starter come out to much stringy cheese on the nachos also bowl was really hot burnt my hand as was not made aware, salad was ok not much flavour not as nice as previous time server talking (shouting) was right next to her asked for bill she was messing about chatting to people not one but like 4 different people had to wait like 10 mins annoying bit disappointing…. The response from owner shows what kind of establishment it is arrogant not even addressing any of the issues health & safety issue & couldn't give a …. Will not be going again menu is basic AF burgers/hot dogs & pies if thats what you want not much choice for anything else oh & salads

1st time we have visited, it was so so good,gorgeous food,so fresh & tasty presented beautifully. Staff were friendly & really attentive ,highly recommended, can't wait to go back.

Lovely pub . excellent staff food excellent.

This place is a gem. We ate here today as a family with two children. We ordered a mixture of roasts and children's meals and all meals were freshly made and delicious. The decor and lighting is beautiful; warm, welcoming with a few very well done quirky pieces. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and genuinely nice! It's one of if not my now favourite place to eat in Saddleworth. We will definitely be back and we're already spreading the word about how great a pub it is.

Fabulous roast lamb - the best I've had + super mix of veg

The Printers was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! If someone had asked me step by step how I would like every aspect of my Sunday lunch made, it would have turned up on my plate like it did today 😋 Everything was cooked to perfection, the beef delicious, roasties fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, everything beautiful. Oh and the gravy 😍 was very worthy of a mention. Add to this the excellent service from all the staff (special mention to Saffron) who actually look like they enjoy their jobs which is super refreshing to find in the UK, ensures that this will not be our last visit! Superb food and friendly service

Went today 7/9/24, for lunch, we haven’t been before, was met with a big smile and very welcoming from the staff and quickly show to a table, service was spot on and our order was taken quickly, we chose the sharing sea food sharing plater for two, my goodness it was absolutely fabulous, cooked to perfection and so much food we actually couldn’t finish it all. All I can say is well done to all, is we will certainly be coming back very soon, thank you so much.

My new favourite restaurant/pub What can I say , I was a regular at the old printers but it went downhill and closed I was told new owners in so I left it a few months then went in for our tea Friday afternoon . It’s amazing great welcome from the young staff very friendly and the landlord Clayton came over introduced himself , what a nice chap explained what he was trying to do I said your food will say it all and it did. First of all Inches cider amazing and red wine enjoyed very much . Starters mushroom and Stilton soup I had the gluten free option which they carried onto the mains very impressive. Soup was plentiful , piping hot and full of mushrooms total opposite to a nearby restaurant up the hill ! Mains a rib eye medium rare cooked perfectly thick and succulent. Sauces also top notch . Always attentive staff nearby ensuring all ok again missing from that certain place up the hill in Shaw ! Food wise and staff wise faultless . Clayton has spent a lot on the interior with some lovely touches of architectural antiques being added . Lots of touches even in the gents for you viz fans I’ll leave that to you to discover . In closing very impressive nearby places should be worried as this place will be rammed full if they continue in the same standards . Updated 5/11/2023 Sunday Lunch Served by the very friendly and efficient Charlotte this Sunday Dinner was perfect in every way … I think the words getting out as very busy . 2 large Malbec wine very tasty . Broccoli and Stilton soup here never disappoints with a warm gf roll and butter. Main we chose lamb which was plentiful and tasted like just out of the oven large thick medallions of lamb cooked perfectly pink in the middle. Minted gravy and proper goose fat roasted potatoes with veg separately served in your own metal dish long stemmed broccoli , sued and carrot mash , creamed leaks and cauliflower cheese just perfection . I can honestly say that was the best Sunday Lunch I have ever had along with the excellent eclectic music choice made by Clayton it was a very enjoyable 90 mins or so . Bravo Printers you are upping your already high standards and the other restaurants nearby should be very concerned as they are miles behind WOW Sunday 2/6/24 Sunday Lunch AMAZING ! This place NEVER disappoints Amazing freshness to all food just like it came out of the oven ! First the tomato and basil soup steaming hot fresh with a toasted roll butter amazing so very tasty Then the mains just too good ! Yes too good we eat out a lot but the freshness of the lamb cooked perfectly the veg the sides just so so good . Bravo Clayton and the team 👍🏽💕! 11/8/24 Sunday lunch update Lamb as always perfect . One had turkey and enjoyed very much . Something we don’t ever have is sweet dishes but today tried the apple pie and cream, brownie ice cream and the excellent Pina Collada cheesecake . Top food and service always Plus loving the football nets in the urinals something to aim at ! ⚽️

Have had lunch here a few times in the last 2-3 months with different friends. There's always a warm welcome and friendly service. Everyone has enjoyed their choice of meals with particular favourites being the warm salad and the spanakopita which was on the specials a little while ago - please add this to the regular menu!! Have recommended the Printers to others and hope to be back again soon.

This was a spur of the moment trip out for dinner. We were greeted by the great atmosphere made in no small part by our great host. Then to top it all the food!! Well presented and tasted great all in all a great experience 👍👍👍

Popped in for fish and chips today, lovely place, quite possibly the nicest fish and chips I've had in a pub.

Have visited a number of times before, always fantastic service and wonderful food. Decided to try Sunday lunch. Had to wait a while until our table was ready and what seemed like an age before our order was taken. Well worth the wait. Six of us had a roast, one fish and chips and one cheese and onion pie. All well presented. The roasts had an enormous yorkshire pudding on top. Succulent meat and an array of fresh vegetables. I'm still salivating thinking of it.

Lovely atmosphere, good food, service excellent. First time there, and we were treated like regulars.

Visited on a busy Thursday evening. Pre booked. Table for 10 plus a high chair. Seated in a lovely area in main dining room. Extensive menu available, with ‘specials’ board (plus extensive gluten free which is unusual) All meals were freshly cooked and very tasty. The lady who served us was lovely. Hard working, helpful and really friendly. Last time together as a family for a while, as 4 members live in Texas, USA. Returning home the next morning. Thank you for making it such a special occasion. 😍⭐️

Ist time we have eaten at Printers and would definitely come back again. Roast beef was devine, plentiful and delicious. Lovely fresh veg and proper gravy. Finished with a creme brulee. Very reasonable priced and the house merlot was fab. Good atmosphere and the staff here are all very friendly and welcoming, a credit to the owner/landlord who came over and asked if everything was OK. Number one so far on our continuing quest for the best Sunday lunch in Saddleworth.

Popped in when on holiday recently. The waitress who welcomed us was lovely so friendly and welcoming. We was served swiftly and the food was outstanding. A nice menu and a small selection of specials too. Well worth the money for the quality of food and service.

As soon as you walk in you feel really genuinely welcomed. Decor is homely, clean and inviting. Staff are FAAAABULOUS The food..... gorgeous. The burgers are the best I've ever had. Hot dogs are amazing. Fish is so frsh and tasty. Everything we have had is too notch. Desserts...WOW Deffo worth a visit and I bet you return

It's been years and years since I last came to The Printers. We visited on a Saturday, as a group of 8, pre booked a table. The welcome, the service and the food was BEAUTIFUL 😍 we will certainly be returning x

The service was medium. The food was less than medium. Having been in the food businesses for 30 years myself, serving traditional English food ,I personally found it to be A over priced, and the cooking was very poor..The crumble was absolutely abysmal, If I was to mark it out of 10, it would be a resounding 4. I could not in all honesty recommend this establishment. In response to your reply to my comments, your grammar is as bad as the food was on the day my wife and I visited.

Another great night at the Printers with some excellent plates of food, great service and brilliant music in the background - thank you so much !!. The food was all so tasty and perfectly cooked and presented - special mention though for the chilli prawns (so good!!) and the ‘Bread & Butter’ ale on draft. See you all again soon !!.

First time here and couldn’t have felt more at home. Every member of staff was lovely and welcoming and the food was absolutely beautiful. Would 100% recommend and will defintley be back.

I live in Liverpool and had come to visit family in marsden, while here we visited the printers pub for Sunday lunch. I can honestly say the meal and atmosphere where 100% . The co owner Kayla chatted to us for sometime and was more than welcoming. I wish them every success in the future. You truly deserve it. Next time I’m up this way I will certainly be paying a you a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Ps sorry it’s showing that I only gave 2 out of 5 for service when I was sure I had put 5 out of 5 ( whoops! ) I was more than pleased with the service and hope to see you again

Fantastic Sunday lunch, best in the area. Staff were really friendly, had a real fire going too that was lovely. Landlady knew a little sign for our son too. Lamb Sunday roast was to die for. Deffo going again

Brilliant food and drink definitely worth a vist

Enjoyed a lovely meal here with a friend on a Tuesday lunchtime. We both had burgers. I had the vegan one (as I'm veggie) and it was nice to have the option of real cheese (as I'm not vegan, but possibly could be if I loved cheese less!). Very flavoursome and seriously generous portion sizes! Friendly, attentive servers, well-maintained fire. Highly recommended. Will be back.

Worst food I’ve ever had. Menu was nothing like what is on the website. When asked about it I was told that they couldn’t take down the old owners website and that is what I had seen. The starter I had was the ribs and you could tell they were the ones out of a packet and microwaved and they still came to the table lukewarm had to send them back. Then I ordered the special which was the steak pie, chips and beans and fish and chips The pie needed a hacksaw to cut it and exactly 15 chips. Asked for it to be replaced as I just couldn’t cut the pastry of the pie and it came back swimming in gravy which I didn’t order or want🙈 so I just ate the chips. The fish and chips were mediocre but definitely not worth the price paid. It seems the two young men in the kitchen doing the catering have no idea how to cook food.

Had a lovely lunch here this afternoon. The food was delicious as always. And all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly pub, and has a decent size car park.

Went for the gluten free menu and was not disappointed !!! What a pleasure it was to dine here, staff were excellent, food was top notch !!! Will definitely be back here again soon 😁

Took my partner on Friday for his first time here , he thoroughly enjoyed his fish chips and his meatballs starter. I had a rag pudding with chips and peas but started with homemade soup what a gorgeous meal. Shouldn't of had the starters as the mains were big but we did . Staffing well what can I say , flipping amazing , really lovely and down to earth. Service spot on . Landlord a credit to the place , friendly and overall a people's person . Well done for a great evening .

Popped in for Sunday lunch, Charlotte found us a table, also some tissue to clear my steamed up glasses. I had the beef, lovely and pink, with great Yorkshire pudding , roasties. The veggies were served separately, cauliflower cheese, creamed leeks, carrot and swede mash, broccoli and sugar snap peas, all cooked perfectly. Fantastic service, friendly atmosphere. Recommended.

What a little treasure of a place! This has to be the best Sunday Roast we have had this year, and we like to dine out for a roast 👌 The welcome was great, who can resist the little Princess Frenchie hello! Service was personable, friendly and quick, nothing felt too much and it felt like you had been welcomed into their home. Thank you Charlotte, Charlotte and Kari (apologies if I incorrectly spelt it) The roasts were tasty and delightful, we had roast rump of lamp (not fatty!) and roast ham (again no fat!) the amount of veggies was just awesome Too! Thank you chef Amie. Cannot recommend this place highly enough, already planning on taking the parents for a December Christmas roast! Thank you all 👌👏

Used to go to the Printers before it had the refurb. OMG it’s now Incredible, authentically renovated back to how it would have looked gorgeous beams, original stone walls and flag floors. obviously a lot of thought and passion went into transforming it into a magnificent place to visit and it was cosy, relaxing and toasty warm. We enjoyed excellent service from Friendly, attentive staff Izzy and Charlotte who served us and made sure we we happy and had everything we needed. And wow the food, I have had a lot of Sunday lunches lol but can honestly say that this is the very best Sunday lunch I have had in a long long time. Perfectly cooked meats and a large selection of fresh vegetables and the crispiest fluffiest roast potatoes. Go and experience something very very special. I cannot wait to go back. Birthday meal. Lovely welcoming, super service throughout, right up to leaving. A cosy resteraunt, lovely decor, making you feel so welcome, warm and relaxed. So lovely to see dogs welcomed as well. 👍

Took about an hour to get our starters followed by another hour to get our mains, by the time it came we lost appetite, food not the best overall, got given a discount due to the wait

Can never fault our visits here, lovely food, staff and views. Slightly pricey compared to other similar places in the area so a set menu/early bird offer would definitely be welcomed, but you do indeed get what you pay for.

Very friendly staff with a warm welcome. Hearty portions and tasty to boot. Nice selection of salads and not a gammon steak in sight which is refreshing. Nice ale selection (Vocation). And within dog walking distance (for me) and Doggo welcome.

Had a great meal with our son and family only advice I can give is the whitebait wasn't very nice so I would avoid it and we were given soup spoons to eat our dessert everything else was spot on will go back again

What a great find! Stopped by to see a friend and he suggested the pub up the road. We were greeted by the smiling owner who graciously welcomed us to her pub and took us to a table. Great decor with different themed areas all with their own character and nicely finished. The owner provided our menus and she advised of the food and drinks and happily chatted with us regarding our options. The menu has something for everyone and I literally would have ordered one of everything. It had some standard pub fare amongst some sensational food with some amazing sandwiches that I opted for. Now I am usually underfed when i get my meals but I was not disappointed. A couple of drinks and my afternoon with friends (and the owner + bar managers running commentary) made it a great and fun day. if only more pubs and owners were like this place. Cheers.

Rude staff, waited over an hour for food, left without eating and got no apology, when we said we were going the bar managers response was staff costs are too high. Shame really have they have a nice beer selection.
