Grandpa Greene's Luxury Ice Cream in Oldham

Planned to visit for ages everything looks amazing on socials, however they are just too busy. Service very slow order incorrect.

Lovely little spot, thanks to sienna our waitress! Really enjoyed our visit to Grandpa Greene’s in saddleworth well worth a visit.

Seven of us enjoyed afternoon tea in one of the fabulous pods today. The food was absolutely delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A massive thanks to our server, Jess who was brilliant and really looked after us. Such a superb experience, we'll definitely be visiting again.

After queuing for 25 minutes we got to the till to find out one scoop had gone from £3 to £3.50 and an extra scoop had gone up from £1 to £1.50 even though all signage in the queue didn't say this then we ordered 2 cones which were served by 2 different people and not consistent in size. Mine was the normal size we have received previously and his was 2 small scoops which def wasn't worth £5. All servers should be giving the same size of ice cream scoops to each customer.

Lovely Sunday trip out to one of our favourite places. Food delicious as always, service exceptional, Ellie our waiter made us feel very welcome, checked that we were happy with our food, and made a special fuss over our dog which was very much appreciated. Myself and a friend visited here over Easter. We were given great service by the server- Ellie, who was very attentive and checked we were happy with the food and drinks that were promptly brought out. Ellie was very friendly, helpful and had a smile on her face throughout the time we were there! We will definitely be back.

Attended today with friends and family. Had a fab time in the igloo/dome, was made slightly better as we had the dome to ourselves due to how many there was. Staff super accommodating, excellent service. The table due in afterwards had cancelled so it meant we got even longer which was a bonus! We had 2 afternoon teas and brunch, the food was lovely and drinks were great! Loved the luxury hot chocolate included with the afternoon tea. Would 100% recommend here for food or afternoon tea, great place for friends, couples, families. Emma the manager was great in organising the afternoon tea for us due to an error we made on our booking and Sophie was brill as our waitress. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely afternoon, we loved it!!

Really disappointing visit. We were seated in the patio area where the table and chairs were all wet. The orders were slow to be taken and even slower to be delivered. Items were missed and other items were wrong. They had to be send back several times and in the end we just gave up. The staff were very friendly so we felt mean complaining and we have been coming to this cafe since it opening, but it’s lost its attention to detail and that’s a great same. I’m hoping it’s just a blip, but I was disappointed with this visit.

TERRIBLE !!!!! We had booked and paid a deposit for afternoon tea in the igloo! We turned up only to be told you can’t have your booking in the igloo as you have added another person onto to the booking (even though we had paid for the igloo and the extra person for the IGLOO!! And not cancelled the igloo dining) and the igloos can dine 10 people!! So we had to wait whilst they made room in their cold dark dinning room! We had our afternoon tea which wasn’t the best and served with attitude!! Also we had to wait for our hot drinks!! Poor service!! We will not be returning and I strongly recommend you look at your booking system which clearly doesn’t work!! Also when we had finished our afternoon tea we noticed an igloo with 7 people dinning!!!! How strange!!

Went for pre booked afternoon tea in one of the igloos. There was a small heater and a blanket each but it was not very warm. I was in a party of 4 and there were 4 other people that shared the igloo with my party. Service was slow. The milk they brought with the tea was off, they replaced it. Waited over 40 minutes to get our afternoon tea. It was all well presented, with chocolate dipped strawberries. The 5 small open sandwiches were very nice, as was the brownie. The lemon drizzle cake and scones were not fresh. There was an unlimited supply of hot drinks. I thought £22 was not good value at all and the service was too slow. I have had quite a few afternoon teas and I would not recommend this one. There are others locally and in the city centre that offer much better environment , quality and value for money

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Had afternoon tea in an outdoor igloo . Lovely little heater keeping you cosy and blankets provided . Plenty of food and even took some home with us .

Booked a dome for late afternoon food with friends. Seated immediately by Sophie and we had the dome to ourselves which was lovely. Food was amazing and freshly cooked. Sophie is a lovely girl with a very bubbly personality and took our humour and wit in good spirits. Can't wait for our next visit

Compared to the greens bistro in Uppermill this is poor, also there is always a draft wherever you sit in here. The staff are rude . I went for breakfast, they don’t do granola here like they do at the other location. Not sure why considering it’s pre bought but anyway. I ordered poached eggs and avacado on toast, it came with chilli jam, I assumed it would be on the side but no they smothered all the food init. I sent it back and asked for it without because I’m allergic to chilli, the avacado which was under the egg then came pre smashed up (unsure why) and including lots of chilli. The waitress didn’t seem happy about me sending back my food. I just ate the eggs. Would never attend this location again. Poor.

No one greeted us when we got there, we ended up walking between the sections for 10 mins before someone helped. Ordered a latte and decaf latte, the waitress was adamant she’d given me the decaf(I can’t have caffeine) but she didn’t and I didn’t notice until half way through. The waiter after her was amazing, very friendly and helpful. i was disappointed that the waffles are not home made(I don’t think the pancakes are either). Consequently they were dry as a bone and tasteless. I don’t mind paying for decent food but £52 for very average food(4 desserts) was what I felt a huge waste of money. We travelled 2hrs round trip so was hoping for something better. We won’t be returning.

Great experience, value for money, the pods are great too.. the highlight was Sophie who was extremely attentive and great with my 4 year old nephew. I’d ask for her again when we come next

Visited today for a Halloween after tea which my son had, he seemed to enjoy it. Staff pleasant and place reasonably priced. My wife ordered some butties which were also very good. Only downside was the manager (I assume she was a manager) giving a pep talk to two colleagues on the table next to us and using inappropriate language, not ideal when you have children nearby so little advice maybe conduct your manager meetings in an office or at least out of ear shot of the customers.
