The best restaurants serving British food in Liverpool North West

It was a good experience to visit the pub with a pint of Staropramen. I heard that this place is a traditional old English pub located in the historic Cains brewery building.

We attended the valentines night dining last night, absolutely fabulous, we had a brilliant night, excellent food, entertainment and service, will definitely be back.

¡Caro como cualquier cosa! ¿Dónde está cobrar 9 libras por una doble en Liverpool. Vete a otra parte. No es un verdadero pub de Liverpool con estos precios.

It's quite and friendly good for kids and food

I visited here on Thursday 13th February 2025. The staff were very good as was the food, excellent value for the money. We throughly enjoyed it. When I was going to tap my card to pay a gentleman standing to my left with another man who had just been serviced, quickly whacked his card on and paid for our food and drinks! He said it was an act of random kindness. Had I heard for that, I had, his mother had her shopping paid for a few days before and he was repaying the kind act. We were astonished! What a gentleman and I will pass this on. Liverpool folk are just the best ❤️

The old menu has been replaced with a drab dumbed-down version. Less choice, no standout dishes, no photos to entice you into ordering. Very disappointing.

A rather dingy pub with no atmosphere. The barmaid on my visit was unpleasant and surly. Probably why the pub was empty..I had one pint and left..

Cenamos aquí y el personal era muy amable y el servicio era bueno a pesar de que probablemente era un poco corto de personal. Esperaba más de la comida. Sin carácter real, el helado de postre era ‘helado’ y no fresco.

Lovely place, great atmosphere in the pub, everyone is welcome. Whilst I was there, there were a mixture of people from young families having Sunday Roasts to young lads playing pool to people just having a pint after a walk with their dog. Ben who was the manager working was brilliant, very friendly and a good laugh. Food was amazing too and a good selection at a decent price.

Uno de mis pubs favoritos de todos los tiempos en el centro de la ciudad. El personal es amable y eficiente a pesar de que el bar a menudo está ocupado. Los dos salones son muy cómodos e inmaculados decorados con verdadero encanto del viejo mundo. Hay una buena variedad de cerveza de barril, desde cervezas haladas a mano hasta cervezas locales y continentales. Puede recomendar como un buen lugar para comenzar su noche o para una pinta mientras espera su tren.

Excellent service beautiful food

It's ok for a cheap bite and drink, don't expect a 5* restaurant, the key is in the name, cafe! Nice cakes and scones and quick service.

Food was beautiful and fresh and hot from reemonas. Most defo order from there again 100%

Ain’t been to this great pub for a while so looked forward to a proper beer. Alas it’s followed the trend of not serving beer. On draught we had 3 lagers a cider, a pale ale (pale ale is probably the most disgusting ale I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste) and a stout. No bitter or golden or amber ale. What’s happened to this place? Still a nice pub but for gods sake get your beer sorted

No estoy seguro de lo que le ha pasado a este lugar, pero definitivamente fue cuesta abajo. Llegamos para el almuerzo y después de estar sentados , no había ninguna solicitud para tomar nuestro pedido, esperamos más de 20 minutos, el personal parecía muy desinteresado en querer tomar nuestro pedido. Así que abandonamos el almuerzo y no volveremos de nuevo. No estoy seguro de lo que ha pasado, pero la atención al cliente es inexistente.
