The Exchange at Hilton Liverpool in Liverpool

Dined here mid week as a couple having swapped an Activity Superstore voucher for this experience. It was for steak and wine for 2. The meal was lovely and we added starters and a dessert which were also high quality. Service was excellent. The wine was good considering the voucher is for house red. My only issue is that I think a sauce could be included rather than having to pay extra. Very nice place to sit and I would recommend this experience.

Staying for a family festive weekend, decided to eat in as we’d had a long day. Food was average but REALLY expensive for what it was, gosh and chips/ burger and chips and 2 medium glasses of wine over £60. Would have expected a much better choice and quality in a restaurant in a Hilton hotel. The staff are lovely and helpful though.

Great value for breakfast for non residents,a walk in buffet breakfast is available at the Hilton in Liverpool for 10 pounds.Great selection of cereals,Fruit juices,cold meats,full fried breakfast, selection of breads,fresh fruit,tea,coffees,pastries overall considering the average breakfast prices in the city this is a gift.

Holiday trip in hilton Liverpool. Had a dinner in exchange restaurant. Service was amazing by Mr. Mirko. He’s very attentive and polite. Always checking with our table. Also food was delicious. We did ordered the steak. It cooked really well and tasty. We are very enjoyed and definitely will go again.

Just disappointing. The drinks were ok but we had asked for snacks (which the bar man said were complimentary) not once but twice. After 40 mins - nothing ever came and we left. I don't mind paying a fortune for drinks (and it was a fortune), but service is a must. It just wasn't apparent here We'll not be back again to a Hilton.

Enjoyed a wonderful family reunion at the exchange restaurant followed by drinks at the Pima bar. We had the pleasure of listening to live music and being served by Lucian, a most pleasant, professional and attentive waiter making it a truly memorable evening. Food was cooked to perfection as always and served in a timely manner. I look forward to our next family reunion.

Came for a meal deal of steak, chips and bottle of wine for two. All of it was delicious, the staff service was excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent.

Each time we visit we are never disappointed. From the delicious food, the tasteful surroundings & the attentive & friendly staff, this is one of our favourite dining choices. Thank you so much to all the staff & their manager Mihay, who really make this a place to keep coming back to.

It was late on Mother's Day afternoon and we had been walking around Liverpool One. We decided to go and get a drink in here. We could see the restaurant was busy but hoped the bar might be quieter. We walked in and was approached by Security and we explained what we wanted. When we saw the Restaurant and Bar appeared to be one area, we weren't hopeful, but we were asked to wait a minute and a Manager came out and directed us to the perfect table for us to use, with the wheelchair. Service was great and the drinks were lovely. We were made to feel so welcome and we will return next time we visit, perhaps for Afternoon Tea.

Had a voucher for steak and chips plus a bottle of wine between 2. One of the best steaks we've had. Our waiters Michael and Lucien were both professional and charming and a credit to the Hotel. Will definitely come back.

Had a lovely evening at the Exchange restaurant with family to celebrate my father’s birthday. We all throughly enjoyed our meals and were impressed with the service and atmosphere at the restaurant. Lucian the waiter was polite, cheerful and went out of his way to cater for all of our needs and make our evening special. Looking forward to our next family gathering at the hotel. A great evening overall.

Had a lovely steak and wine Groupon between me and my Mrs,lm there must've been a lil party as a group had a guitar out blasting tunes, really set the atmosphere! Michael was our waiter and he was nicer than cheesecake yano. Genuine guy, not afraid to be himself. There was one issue with the Groupon but it was fixed instantly, gave us a bottle of wine for the trouble. Great place, great guy, great service don't skip!

Waited 30mins for our order to be taken then charge us almost £10 for a single vodka plus dash of soft drink. Will not visit again.

First time out since lockdown, we decided to go here for the 5 small plates deal. The food was out of this world, so tasty and so much choice! We wanted to try everything. The staff were very friendly and very covid safe. We just wish the drinks weren't so expensive!

The restaurant feels slightly tagged on and a bit of an afterthought to the hotel. Menu was not the same as what we had viewed online either. The restaurant was not busy but the staff would constantly forget about us and it would seem everyone else too. Even just ordering drinks they required constant reminding to actually get them. We’d ordered our starter and main at around 8:15pm and it was past 10 when we received the main. Ordered the beef Wellington medium rare and by the waiters own admission they had mistakenly done it well done and I guess just hoped that would be fine. I didn’t want to kick up a fuss so I just ate it but it left me thinking if they knew it was wrong then why did they serve it up in the first place? The food was fine but not exactly amazing like I guess we were expecting from a prestigious establishment like the Hilton, you would struggle to tell the difference between that and weatherspoons I’d say. To be fair, our server made a point of removing the “discretionary” service charge without us even saying anything as I think he kind of knew the service had been quite poor so at least their was an element of owning up to their mistakes. (Discretionary service charges in British restaurants are a bit of a joke in the first place but that’s for another day). To end on a positive note, I will say that it came across that covid regulations were being followed quite well so we at least felt safe.

visited this restaurant last night we felt very safe as all covid procedures in place. Although the menu is quite limited there is still a ģood choice. The steak we had was really nice i would recommend the medlions. The person who served us was really good and very attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit and I'm sure we will come back

My wife has recently been told by her doctor that she must adhere to a low fat / low salt diet. So I’m sure you can imagine how she felt about needing to eat out in a city she had never visited before…. It could have so easily all gone so wrong…However - she needn’t have worried at all. For when we arrived our waiter (Lucian?) talked her though her requirements, and then came up with a starter and main course when met those exactly. The result? One extremely happy lady. And I certainly wasn’t complaining about my tomato and pepper soup starter followed by my fillet steak and French fries main course.Two nights later we were looking for somewhere to take some friends out for a meal. My wife immediately insisted that we go back to the Exchange at the Hilton and take them with us.When we arrived that evening Lucian immediately recognised us, and asked how our week and time in Liverpool was going. He then asked what he could get for my wife that she would enjoy tonight remembering her dietary requirements exactly. In fact, she had been so pleased with her meal two nights earlier that she asked for exactly the same! And given how pleased I’d been with my fillet steak and fries I also had the same. One of our guests also had the steak, and he said it was the best steak he had tasted in ages. Our other guest had the pork, and she also commented on what a fantastic dish it was.So, all in all we were REALLY pleased that we had chosen the Exchange to eat at, it was quite a highlight of our trip, and we will certainly be back there to eat the next time we are in Liverpool.Thank you Lucian

Traté de reservar una mesa en el sistema de reserva telefónica, esto fue realmente agravante. Finalmente fui al restaurante a reservar, mucho más fácil. El restaurante era muy ruidoso mientras comíamos, solo la cantidad de personas en el área más amplia. Los camareros son muy serviciales y agradables. Tuve el paté para empezar, muy bueno, aunque un poco pequeño. El pollo era mi plato principal, quizás un poco exagerado, también pequeño. Las papas fritas son 5 adicionales, las necesita para hacer una comida de tamaño razonable.

Así que recibí el té de la tarde, de mi mejor amiga por una oferta que recibió en Groupon. Love Afternoon Tea, una de mis cosas favoritas para hacer, pero nunca ha sido el Hilton, sin duda volveremos y definitivamente lo recomendaré. Lo pasamos tan bien, el servicio fue impecable, nada era demasiado problema. El personal fue atento sin ser intrusivo, que es exactamente como debería ser. La comida era deliciosa, todo muy fresco y los pasteles eran para morirse. Muchas gracias por brindarnos una experiencia encantadora.

My mother and I dined here on 30 November on a Wowcher deal. We paid for extra stuff but it was all very delicious. Lovely staff and fabulous bar next door. We will definately dine here again if we are back in Liverpool!

Menu in the table was different than what was served.. food was Luke warm.. table very cramped. Ended up leaving early because we felt uncomfortable. Staff were nice though.

We booked our table and used my living social voucher. 2 course meal for 2 with 2 glasses of prosecco. We had already decided that we were going to pay extra as I fancied scallops and my husband wanted a fillet steak. But we also had to pay extra for side dishes such as fries or potatoes. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. Hats off to the chef. And I praise all the staff for their efficient courteous service. Will would definitely recommend this restaurant and would definitely be back.

Very nice meal and I prefer to get there early before it gets very crowded.The staff have always been very welcoming and serve us well.My husband had a fabulous meat dish... wish I could remember what it was. I had a taste and the meat was totally falling apart in a deliciously rich gravy.However my staRter was a mozzarella and tomato with salad leaves..... the salad leVes were missing but I didn’t realise u TIL later. It was a light start to a meal. Just what you need really.

Went for Afternoon tea and it was really nice 👍 loved the sandwiches and cakes, the staff were so attentive and made you feel as if nothing was any trouble, can’t wait to go back.

I bought a voucher for afternoon tea, unfortunately I have had to rate this as low as I can as I was unable to book for this, apparently the place is so busy that even though they continue to sell the vouchers there is no availability to be able to claim them! Don’t waste your money.. I lost out on the cost of this offer due to no fault of my own. Disgusting way to run a business.. don’t offer something you won’t be able to accommodate! Complete sham.

We had a deal for a 2 course meal incl Prosecco which was lovely. The ham fritter starter was nice, but the main of slow cooked beef on a bed of mash was really good. Great service from a lovely friendly waiter

Managed to eat in the hotel restaurant on the 3rd night of our 3 night stay - the previous evening we had to ga to the bar as the restaurant closed at 9pm which I thought was a bit early for a city centre hotel. But the meal was well prepared and good value.

Really enjoyed our visit for afternoon tea , on this occasion with a Groupon voucher. Friendly greeting and seated immediately even though we were 15 mins early. Pots of tea promptly served by cheerful staff and not too long a wait for food even though the restaurant was quite busy. Sandwiches were simply filled but tasty on very fresh bread , the scones warm & good and the small cake variety just right. We left feeling full but not uncomfortably so. Would certainly return

Got with a groupon voucher. If I paid full price I would have been devastated. Was very average compared to other places. Cake selection wasnt great, only filter coffee, sandwich selection was average. We had a nice time but wouldn't do it again. Prosecco was very nice though

Had afternoon tea here as a treat for my friends birthday and I was so disappointed, the bread on the sandwiches was dry and the cakes very boring. The service was not very good either. We won't be back

Al recibir un cupón de Groupon como regalo, mi amigo y yo reservamos una mesa para el domingo 29 de abril a las 7 pm. Me sorprendió gratamente el acogedor comedor con vistas al parque Chavasse. No muy ocupado, y el servicio fue rápido y amable. Tenía una comida de 2 platos que consistía en calamares crujientes de sal y pimienta para empezar cocinados a la perfección, seguidos de lubina frita que estaba deliciosa. En general, una excelente experiencia. Recomendaría.

April 19th. Very very poor service been sat outside for 50 minutes, other people have been served, waiting staff not very attentive. Table needed to be cleared.

We had booked tea for 2 in this Hilton it was awful, there were work men putting new lights up while we sat down climbing up ladders over the tables with there drill. Staff were miserable and there was no atmosphere there what so ever very disappointing.

This is the first time we have visited the exchange and we were very impressed we went there for the afternoon tea and we very surprised at what you got for the price we paid really nice sandwiches scones and a mixture of cakes and coffee good value for money and the staff were really friendly and welcoming

I treated my mother and mother in law for afternoon tea here so we could shop in Liverpool one. The welcome was lovely and we were given a great seat but the place was absolutely packed. At first I was confused but it seems that the place takes groupon vouchers and there were more people than staff.

We had a groupon voucher for afternoon tea for two, however it was difficult to make a reservation via the groupon link so we e mailed our details to make sure and hoped for the best. There was a problem when we arrived with our reservation and one of the managers was called. The lady was very professional and while the error was Groupon’s she resolved the matter politely and sensitively (a credit to the Hilton team). Our afternoon tea was first class and the setting is lovely on the edge of Liverpool One, we will be back.

We were staying at the hotel and thought it a good idea to dine there at least one night.

We have been a few times on a voucher and have always had a beautiful meal and enjoyed it. The menu was not very good for me as there was mostly spicey meals. I ended up having Garlic pizza bread as a starter which was more like flat bread and rather tasteless. The only thing on menu for me was Ceaser Salad and we had to pay a suppliment of £5 for a piece of chicken which was over cooked and dry. Who would just have a salad without anything with it? The restaurant was alway full other times we have been but it was empty and I can see why. We wont be getting another voucher for this again. So disappointed.

Having previously attended the Exchange for an incredible evening meal last year, when we found a groupon for Afternoon Tea we jumped on it. We booked for 3.30 but arrived a little early, however we were shown straight to our seats and offered tea or coffee.

Good menu, attentive service with food well cooked and presented. perhaps you would expect no less from a Hilton?

We had booked afternoon tea for four people on a Saturday afternoon. I required gluten free & dairy free so had telephoned earlier in the week leading up to our booking to notify them of this. After speaking to 4 people, plus a return phone call to me from the restaurant (!), I was eventually booked in for a gluten & dairy free afternoon tea. I was optimistic for a good alternative to the normal afternoon tea as I had called ahead for them to prepare.

We booked our afternoon tea at 3.30 in the afternoon. It was quite quiet so because of this it took 20 minutes until we got brought our cakes and sandwiches. We’d drank the pot of tea by then! Not to bad as we bought the offer on groupon, but I wouldn’t want to pay full price.

We really loved our dinner here, both dishes Sea bass and Lamb Kofta were superb. Add to that the waiters were very friendly and helpful. We’ll come again!

Personal informado era un cumpleaños de mi nieta de 15 años y que la experiencia había sido estropeada. El personal salió con un par de pasteles diminuta en stand tarta y depuración de la cantaron y feliz cumpleaños. Por esta vez mi nieta estaba casi llorando ya que ella tenía, así que estoy deseando volver a la tarde. La mayoría de el té de la tarde fue sin tocar como apenas comestible como tan seca y rancio. Por el momento podíamos beber el té apenas era cálido y personal se distinguen por su ausencia en el restaurante. No hay servicio al cliente evidente. Pedimos la factura y me dieron una disculpa y me dijo que no había ningún cargo. Un resultado justificado. Sin embargo, la celebración de cumpleaños fue completamente haya infinitas posibilidades que no estábamos buscando un relund pero una tarde encantadora con la familia. Nunca volveré de nuevo y sin duda le avisa de la familia y los amigos no ir también allí. En conjunto fue una experiencia terrible.

Llegamos temprano, eso no fue un problema para el siempre tan cortés, que fue cortés y profesional. Ambiente agradable en una habitación bien presentado. El servicio era rápido y amable, la comida bien presentada y abundante, el té y el café era ilimitada. Aseos muy limpios y bien cuidados, si esta zona está limpia, así como también el resto, jajaja. Lo más destacado para mí los bollos eran cálidas, mmm, delicioso.

Comida deliciosa, el personal excelente. Muy maleducado en la mesa de al lado, que el personal se cumplía. A comer allí de nuevo y lo recomiendo. No estoy seguro de qué pensar sobre el divisor visillo entre nosotros y la salsa, que era un poco ruidoso. En general, una experiencia encantadora.

Habíamos tomado el almuerzo en el Albert Dock, así para la cena estábamos buscando algo un poco diferente cuando nos encontramos con el hotel Hilton. El menú parecía bastante, así que nos aventuramos en Dios. Nos llevaron a una mesa de una educada habla bien señora de Europa Oriental. Ella dijo que ella estaría de vuelta con menús. Algunos 10 minutos más tarde apareció otro camarero con menús y se marchó. Algún día más tarde regresó a tomar el pedido. Después de quejarnos fuimos un supervisor en la cocina para encontrar sus dulces. Ella salió con un orden equivocado y volví a la cocina para nunca ser visto otra vez. Después de unos 15 minutos de completar nuestra comida un supervisor (hombre en un traje claro) llegó a la mesa y nos preguntó si nos gustaría un dulce. Ver el caos que era prevaleciente pedimos la factura. Él disparó nunca visto de nuevo. Así otros 10 minutos cuando nos piden que pasaba por el camarero para pedir la cuenta. Volvió bastante rápidamente, después de unos 5 minutos llevar la máquina de tarjeta de crédito, iniciativa que pensaba. Yo estaba estudiando la factura cuando uno de sus compañeros llegó y tomó la máquina de él sin ningún recurso. En este punto, intervino y dijo que iba a pagar así la máquina era de mala gana regresar a él. Cuando pregunté el 8% de cargo por servicio había mucho tutting. Por lo que pagué. La comida era buena, pero el servicio era probablemente mejor en Fawlty Towers

What another great evening at the hilton .value for money. .fantastic food and great company. Disco fab .can't recommend it enough.

Comimos en el intercambio de 3 noches consecutivas, personal muy atento y la comida de calidad. Los menús no eran amplio pero estamos cubriendo una gran variedad de opciones. Sopas, variedad de panes, hamburguesas, pollo, cordero, tablas de quesos tortas. Cocinado a la perfección. No me puedo quejar de nada, incluso abrió las cortinas para ver el fútbol en la pantalla grande.

The afternoon tea we had was lovely, very tasty and plenty of food. Fresh sandwiches inc egg mayonnaise, tuna, ham and cheese, the scone was warm and the cakes were lovely.

Great staff really enjoyed conversation with intelligent barman/waiter. We had a sufficient afternoon tea wasn’t many frills had better. Decor lovely for small group couple to be intimate and have a good gab. As a groupon guest it’s the bar with only views of the bus station but that’s understandable.

A really good night here with cocktails followed by a meal. Drinks & food were lovely & the service was excellent especially from Lucian who made my birthday celebrations very special. Thank you

Compramos una merienda para dos para mi hijo y su novia fuera de groupon. Intenté reservar en línea reservado no podía así que llamamos en la chancetoday para ver si podíamos canjear mientras visitábamos Liverpool. La señora encantadora joven no podría haber sido más servicial nos situado fuera, ya que el tiempo era espléndido y mucho trabajo iba en el interior. Nos sentamos y bebidas traídas y luego el té de la tarde en sí el servicio fue rápido y no me puedo quejar de la atención que nos dieron y la comida que salieron he tenido varios tés por la tarde y a veces puede ser un poco demasiado enfermizo con tartas th. Este no fue el caso en el Hilton los bocadillos eran preciosas y variadas, y los postres ligeros y delicados y la crema bollos y mermelada también eran encantadoras. En general, el entorno era precioso y el sol brilla y el personal encantador atento muchas gracias.

Very slow service and staff couldn’t care less. I’ll not return here... too many other good restaurants/bars in Liverpool to waste money on poor service.

Esta comida fue un regalo en Navidad de mi familia para mí y su padre. Habíamos reservado para el viernes por la noche y como con cada banco de Liverpool estaba muy lleno. Esta era una oferta de comida y estaba un poco aprensivo ver otros comentarios en Tripadvisor.

Utilizamos una oferta wowcher. Comida de 3 platos y copa de Prosecco para 2 personas @ 34 libras. La comida era bastante normalita, pero comestible. Te dan la comida un nombre elegante, pero realmente me terminó con un pollo asado. El servicio fue excelente nuestro camarero era excelente y atento. La mejor parte de la comida era comida de niños de mi hijo. Tuvimos postre que era una tabla de quesos. No me gusta pagar £9 Precio por etiqueta. Mi hijo y yo conseguimos el pastel de chocolate caliente y helado, lo cual era agradable, pero era simplemente una olla de microondas de tarta. Una pena, ya que estaba deseando la comida. No sería Volver a la final.

The food and wine served was acceptable but the environment was very strange for an evening meal. A large screen used to play very old cartoons. No table linen and very much like a fast food chain.

We booked our table a month before and glas we did now. It was quite busy when we arrived but were sested quickly and our order arrived in a timely manner. Very nice and even nicer that it was a Christmas gift to us!

We decided as part of our wedding dress shopping to treat ourselves with the afternoon tea.

Second time here, this time we visited to celebrate our anniversary. Also have a great experience, servers are lovely, and food is great. We waited a bit longer than usual for our main (we were not in a rush so not too bothered). They offered us champagne however neither of us were drinking so they offered us a free dessert each. Our server Chloe had asked us if we were celebrating anything earlier in the night and surprised us with a lovely little dessert plate which we really appreciated.

After trying to book a table in here for 7 hours, I finally got through to someone. I had originally left a voicemail to be told id have a confirmation email but that did not come so I spent a number of time calling the restaurant number for it to continue to go to a voicemail. I had to finally call the hotel and after being forwarded to the voicemail on a final occasion I rang back to book with reception. I really don't know how the restaurant was so full as I also could not book online.

Very poor service. Our waitress did not explain any of the sandwiches or cakes when she brought them over. She just plonked them on the table. There was no menu to describe anything either. Nobody came to ask us for our tea or drinks order. We had to call someone over to our table after waiting for twenty minutes. None of the staff were friendly or attentive. I have been for lots of fantastic afternoon teas over the years, and this was the worst one. Food was average but not particularly plentiful for four people. I would definitely not recommend.

I took my mum in law as a post Christmas treat and it was lovely! Paid for with a Groupon voucher, which was no problem. Seated and offered tea and prosecco away. Nice selection of sandwiches and cakes. Great service. We had a lovely waitress called Jess who really looked after us and we will definitely be back again! We even went home with a doggy bag of cakes that we couldn't eat because we were full! Definitely recommended.

Tuve ayer por la tarde aquí zona (14 / 12 / 2017) y tengo que decir que, aunque la comida era buena, el servicio era horrible! Estuvimos una hora y cuarto y en ese tiempo, nadie vino a preguntarme si todo estaba bien. De hecho, cuando llegamos, nos preguntaron si queríamos té/café y luego llevamos nuestro té. Había una pequeña jarra de leche en la mesa, que no estaba lleno, así que obviamente ha dejado por un cliente antes. Tuve que llamar a alguien para más leche y para pedir agua en mi taza ya no me gusta el té fuerte. De nuevo, estos trajeron a la mesa y eso era todo. He tenido este servicio en varios lugares y tengo que decir que este es uno de los más pobres. En el Ritz de Londres, están allí reponiendo comida y bebidas hasta que ellos parar! ! ! We booked a meal on a special offer basis – 2 steaks (plus tomato and mushroom) and 2 glasses wine for £29 but pay for your sides and any sauces. The deal was good but I didn’t think there was much choice in sides. I ordered a side salad which was pretty much just green leaves and a tiny bit of tomato. At £4.50 for a side I thought this was poor value for money. However, the staff were friendly and helpful and the service was efficient. The restaurant ambience was pleasant but there’s only a dividing net curtain to the main bar area which was extremely noisy so it was fine for a quick bite to eat before heading home after Xmas shopping but I wouldn’t say it was a great venue for a night out.

I went to Spartak Moscow game on hospitality. This included a meal at the Exchange at the Hilton and transport to Anfield. The meal was set but the hotel does contact you in advance to check on dietary requirements. The meal of pate followed by chicken then cheesecake was basic but very tasty and well presented. A perfectly acceptable package for the price

A good place for a meal before heading over the road to the Liverpool Echo Arena. The decor isSmart in this very modern hotel. The starter of warm breads, olives and hummus was very tasty. Up next was sirloin steak complete with mushrooms and tomatoes for an extra 2.50 we paid for a sauce (peppercorn) it just meant an additional side order in this instance we order chunky chips - although my friend felt the chips were far too chunky and so he left them. I have to say the meal was delicious We were then just a. Few minutes away from the Echo arena so we’re able to take our time going there and stopped off for a drink enrolee.

Stayed at hilton city and ate at exchange restaurant. Service ok. Prices a little confusing as steak came with tomato and mushroom(1) chips were £4.50 extra each. Then a service charge of 12.5% added at the end and space on bill for a gratuity. Dont suppose the waiters/waitresses got it either way. Cooked ok but pricey.
