The best restaurants serving British food in Liverpool North West

We have been three times to Gregg’s for lunch before boarding a flight, it’s very nice but I think a couple of teething problems. Greggs are well known for their sausage rolls amongst many other items, but each time we have been there they are only JUST WARM a let down needs sorting, as well as no salt & pepper as the baguettes are a bit bland, that’s my rant over otherwise they are a much needed eating area for land side and the staff are a credit to the business.

Nos alojamos en Crowne Plaza por unos días. Debido a las multitudes para la ceremonia de nombramiento de la Reina Ana y un día muy largo, decidimos quedarnos para disfrutar de una cena ligera. Había visto alas de Gochujang tanto en el menú del bar como en el servicio de habitaciones, así que me decepcionó que no estuvieran disponibles en el menú del restaurante. Sin embargo, el chef amablemente se ofreció a hacerlos por mí. El servicio fue excelente. De hecho, yo diría que podría reducirse un poco a medida que se nos acercaba no menos de 10 veces durante nuestra comida y para algunas personas eso podría ser sobrecarga. Disfrutamos de la masa madre caliente, las alas de Gochujang y una hamburguesa plaza. Buen tamaño de porción y estábamos rellenos! La comida está bien cocinada. La hamburguesa podría haber sido un poco más sabrosa, pero sin quejas en general.

Pretty sure I've just been overcharged- small s&p box £9.50, fried rice £4.50 & a small sausage....total was £16.10 so the sausage was £2.10? Felt uncomfortable querying it as there's about 7 staff on the other side of the counter and they can't get you served & out of the shop fast enough,its quite intimidating. Food was nice but will not be returning.

Food was great . Service too . Will defo pop in on my next holiday. Luci was very freindly and chatty. Thank you

Very attentive manager when we arrived , as a slightly older couple we didn’t no what to do or expect for the show night , she made us v welcome and we enjoyed it all in the main , 1 negative that put a slight dampener on the evening was the live music after the German show , the taller of the 2 singers was asking people at the tables “why we was out tonight “ when it was my wife’s turn , she replied “for a weekend in paradise “, obviously in relation to being in the city (Jamie Webster music “ ), he’s reply was “I’m not playing that sh@t “, which he cut short and moved on. It was unnecessary and made my wife feel silly and annoyed . Other than that the entire evening was Great, although we didn’t stay long after that comment

Single best place in the entire country I don't recommend going anywhere else !

Just an Asda. But bigger. Lots bigger. One minor complaint is the need for a coin to get the bigger trolleys. I don't carry hard cash.

Llamé aquí para desayunar con mi marido, hermano y cuñada después de recogerlos en el aeropuerto de Liverpool. ¡Ojalá no nos hubiéramos molestado! Tocino frío que rebota en la pared, hachís morenos sin patata en que estaban que seco, medio tomate que era verde y duro. No hay rollos para el desayuno. Lo único fresco era el huevo frito y las tostadas. Larga cola para las bebidas por lo que cualquier esperanza de conseguir un desayuno caliente fue totalmente eliminado. Esto fue justo después de las 10 am. Si va a servir el desayuno hasta las 11 - 11. 30 am es necesario asegurarse de que es fresco y buena relación calidad-precio que esta mañana las ofertas ciertamente no lo eran. No se moleste en ir aquí, también puede tirar su dinero por el inodoro. Ah y me habría quejado, pero como se suponía que era el regalo de mi hermano por recogerlos en el aeropuerto, me pidió que no lo hiciera.

8 of us including 3 children went here for christmas day. We have never been so it was a gamble. We were greeting and seated straight away. We had preordered food so that was easy. The staff couldnt have been any more attentive. Very helpful. Thank you for giving up your own Christmas for us customers. The food was outstanding and we were so happy. I thought it woipd be stressful and hectic. It was staffed perfectly and made into a calm fun welcoming place for everyone. Thank you very very much

Worst customer service ever received. Arrived to four members of staff sat at the front desk. Not even one of them stood up to greet me. After I asked for a table for 2. I was asked if everyone was here when clearly it was just myself stood there. When I said no. I was told to go the bar. No manners. Bar maid was polite. Small blonde lady with curly hair. After my friend had arrived we went back over to be seated. Another few members of staff were now with the original 4. Each member of staff tried to pass the enquiry onto one another before we were told to follow a young ginger lad. The only one of about 20 members of staff that seemed to be polite and to be working. We were then sat in a room off the main dining room with the temperature below minus. Considering the snow outside there was little portable heaters situated about and cables that were a trip hazard. Food was okay. Veg could have been better. Staff all sat round on tables in main dining area eating food just in the uniform. No coats or jackets to cover that they were staff. Unprofessional. Not one member of staff was attentive to the table. Even when we had finished our food. The gents toilets needs to be closed off and professionally cleaned. Each of the four cubicles were blocked with feaces and toilet roll. It was like the shift had no manger on and it was a free for all. It was unclean. Considering this is the ‘home of the roast’ it was shambolic and needs to be shut down

Abysmal. Sorprendente, no puedo creer lo horrible que fue el desayuno, y cómo los estándares han bajado. Regularmente voy por café y pastel por la tarde, y eso está bien. Aunque algunas rebanadas de pan de hojalata son ridículamente caras. Pero debido a las circunstancias, me encontré ordenando el desayuno vegetariano. Hace años, cuando solía comer allí, había un gerente masculino muy agradable y eficiente, y la comida era deliciosa. Obviamente ya se ha ido, y los estándares y especialmente la comida son terribles. El desayuno era una gran porción, pero era tan malo que no era comestible. Miré a mi alrededor para devolverlo, y me quejé con el gerente, pero estaba tan ocupado y lleno, que habría tomado una eternidad solicitar al gerente. Ellos - obviamente - no están probando sus ofrendas de alimentos, y los hongos estaban crudos, insípidos, acuosos, y acababa de quedar fuera en la placa caliente -imo- de crudo. Los tomates, eran completamente insípidos, y acuosos - funestos. No había huevos escalfados, solo huevos fritos aceitosos, gomosos y congelados que había quedado fuera en la placa caliente. ¡Podría seguir y seguir! Estaba/todavía estoy conmocionado por lo bajos que han caído los estándares. Aparte del té de la tarde, lo evitaría a toda costa. Para que John Lewis permita este deterioro en su café, hay algo gravemente malo.
