How has The Vines not got a Michelin star?The food is beyond delightful and the table service is so good. We had the Taster menu and it is wonderful and delicious. The chefs clearly love what they produce and the restaurant staff are utmost professionals but friendly and engaging with their diners. I would definitely if you like fine dining book a table here.

We visited to celebrate a family birthday. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the cost overall was very reasonable! We will definitely visit again

I recently visited with a group of friends and found everything from the service, to the food, atmosphere and range of options outstanding. I had the vegan steak which was insanely good. The cocktails were lovely, I had a Rhubarb Martini and Esresso Martini, both looked and tasted amazing. Will definitely be returning x

This is a well kept traditional pub in which I enjoyed the ambience and had some good interaction with and service from the staff. Appreciated the good quality beer and general positive environment.

The hotel is currently being refurbished and the restaurant is now closed until further notice. When we looked on the website this was not mentioned so we had a wasted trip

Wonderful eatery. Food was amazing. Three of us all had something different and each dish was a winner. Staff were really friendly and genuinely seemed happy we were there. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area but will definitely be back next time I am in Chester. So nice to see an independent cafe buzzing and doing well. Hats off to the staff/owners.

Our daughter got married here on the 1st of August what a beautiful beautiful wedding venue we were so lucky with the weather everything was perfect. The food was amazing and Mark was absolutely brilliant throughout the whole wedding planning process and on the day. Thank you thank you it was amazing!

We hired the loft at commonhall social for a 30th birthday celebration and couldn’t recommend it enough. Amazing fab, great staff and brilliant atmosphere. We will be booking again!

Family of four, came on a Friday for their Friday chippy tea deal. Huge portions, fish was particularly good. Very good value. Very friendly attentive staff. It’s my local, but as we don’t eat out often we usually just pop in for a drink, will make an effort to eat here more often. Pizza’s were also good and hand made.

The staff are welcoming, super friendly - the food was really nice. I was annoyed I didn’t have my phone on me to take photos but I had the rump steak (medium rare) and it was cooked to perfection. My mum had Lincolnshire sausages and mash which she said was lovely and really tasty. We both had dessert, I had the cheesecake and my mum had Baileys Crème Brûlée. Cheesecake was nice, my mum said the Crème Brûlée was really nice but too sweet but everyone has a different sweet tooth. I would highly recommend this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed (hopefully).

Outstanding evening last night 7th dec 24. Bar manager and staff especially George were so welcoming and brilliant. Couldn’t do enough. Well recommend Great night from the works night out gang x
