The best restaurants serving British food in Knutsford Cheshire East North West

Vine aquí para una segunda visita y me gusta mucho el lugar. no es como ir a una de las cafeterías en Knutsford, que son estupendas, pero son diferentes en la manera en que se puede disfrutar tanto como experiencias distintas. visite aquí me sentí como un sobrino favorito visitando una tía que posea una enorme casa de campo. Desde el largo y sinuoso camino en coche al hermoso entorno del salón de té con techos abovedados con vigas y 16 th chimenea del siglo XVIII que tiene su propia historia, a la amplia selección de tés y pasteles de su propietaria fue una experiencia que recomiendo a cualquiera.

Found the restaurant very over priced for what it was and when I ordered the Welsh Rarebit, it came in a bowl swimming in butter and the cheese was over cooked on the edges. Not a patch on the old Penny Farthing themed restaurant that used to be there. Really gone down hill I'm afraid.

Attentive, friendly service. Great quality food (pleasantly surprising Cypriot infused menu - as a half-Cypriot I enjoyed this part!). Food arrived promptly, hot, and tasted delicious. I had ‘The Cypriot’ panini, and my partner had the Knutsford burger. We’re only passing through Knutsford but would definitely visit again.

What a great find! Food was AMAZING, service was AMAZING, ambience was AMAZING with Jamie Wooding singing with his guitar. Will DEFINITELY be returning 👏👏

It’s been a while since I went for a meal in the Angel and my son suggested it. I wasn’t expecting that much on hearing that they did a 3 course meal with a drink included for £25 per head. We went along and I wasn’t expecting blown away, as it was we went for the 2 course at £21 per head with a drink and absolutely everything we ordered was not only so well conceived but cooked to perfection. I genuinely don’t often write reviews but I felt that this establishment definitely deserved one. The staff were friendly and attentive too. I will be back

We hired Aprils for my wife’s 40th party, and couldn’t recommend it enough. She only wanted a small do but didn’t want to feel drowned, and this venue was perfect. We had 60 guests, and didn’t feel crowded at all. We hired a dj and sax player and the atmosphere was brilliant. Millie and Ellie were amazing on the bar at night, Millie was brilliant in the lead up, and there wasn’t anything that she’s didn’t think of for us. We decided against food, and elected for trays of shots…..A 1am finish was also a nice bonus!!

Average food more like a pub, raw onion in the scotch egg bhaji, bang bang cauliflower poor, fish and chips were tiny and fish dry. So over priced for below average food.

A really nice meal - we had the set menu which is good value and pre-booked for 12 of us. Food enjoyed by all and had our own area too that was nice.

So, booked this place months ago for afternoon tea. Really looking forward to it. 2 x vegan advertised as vegan afternoon cream tea. On arrival our table was set with a dairy free menu that had meat - and told this is what is on our afternoon tea. Has to approach staff fo inform them that we are vegan and not dairy free. They apologsied and changed the menu for us. Then we for brought pots of cream made from dairy. Again had to offer these back to the staff. The plates came out - wow I have never experienced such dire vegan food choices since becoming vegan 20 years ago. 4 finger sandwiches of which 2 were carrot on bread. I was literally given veg on bread. Then adding insult, no cream came to the table. I Walked to the front desk to queery why no cream is served - all blank faces looked at me and then the lady behind the kitchen decided to rudely comment with a shrug and say ‘there’s your answer , I don’t know ‘ just wow. I haven’t been as appalled as this for a long time to be spoken to like that. Cream tea with no cream. I explained you can buy dairy free squirt cream, pouring cream and it is simple to make your own. But the attitude of this lady was appalling. Scones not eaten by my husband as he cannot eat dry scones. Upon exit I asked to speak to whom ever was in charge. A lovely apologetic supervisor spoken to me. I articulated how I feel it has been very unfair to charge the same price for a vegan afternoon tea - we were minus the cream and had zero alternatives given to us like vegan turkey etc. I honestly felt like it was the year 2000. Vegan food is in abundance now- there really is no excuse to omit items or put veg on bread. The lady said the manager would phone me to discuss , of course a week on I am still waiting for the phone call …

We called in for lunch and I chose the chicken tikka wrap and my friend chose an egg mayonnaise sandwich on brown bread. The chicken tikka wrap was tasteless and dry and the egg mayonnaise sandwich hardly had any filling and the bread was dry. For around £20 I would have expected something half decent. The staff were very pleasant and the cafe itself is very nice but shame about the food ,

Just had the new pie by Michelin chef Tom Shepherd, it’s got to be the best pie we have tasted in a long time, absolutely delicious. Fantastic pastry and filled with beef cheek, caramelised onions & sliced potato, AMAZING!

Breakfast menu OK if you want toast or a big breakfast. What about putting a smaller version on menu. Why can I not get extras eg bean's with toast and your gorgeous grated cheese?? I settled for croissant with bacon and cheese it was very nice but full of calories which is not good for my specific diet.

I love this pub. It is always so friendly and has a great atmosphere. I have been up to see my mate and we have come in Fri/Sat and Sun. We have just ordered a 3 course Sunday lunch for £18.95. I have no idea how they do it for that price. One of the few places where the roast potatoes are actually crunchy. The apple crumble is tremendous. Paula the guvnor and Michelle her very glamorous assistant are so good at customer service. So attentive and very friendly. I would like to know how many steps that both do as they haven’t stopped working ensuring everyone is served and the tables are cleared. Thank you for a great experience 10/0
