The best restaurants serving British food in Bury North West

Stayed in the Travel Lodge next to the papermill and have been here for breakfast and dinner. Lovely warm welcome on both occasions by all staff. Highly recommend the Flat bread kofta and the waffle and berries breakfast. Generous portions.

Always a good selection of real ales with friendly staff serving it. Fair prices too. Sky Sports for those that need it.

Good local pub , well priced beverages.

Came within plenty of time and read the note I put. However, the veggy breakfast tasted horrible, wouldn't recommend. My son liked the meat breakfast though.

Relaxed atmosphere and great food, perfect for an afternoon meal.

Food was served quickly but i wish they hadnt bothered! the food was luke warm and smothered in a gravy that didnt move ,roast potatoes tasted like they had been cooked in old chip fat and kept warm, I complained to a member of staff when she came to clear our mostly uneaten food she said she would speak to chef but never came back to our table to finish clearing upon leaving I spoke to her again and she told me she had spoken to kitchen staff I suggested Chef should taste the food rather than talk about it, she said she hoped we would come but I dont think so we have had better quality at Wetherspoons with a free pint for less money it cost nearly£100 for 4 adults and 2 children.

Really enjoy eating in this fish and chip restaurant. It is local to me and the food is cheap and is of good quality. Better than the Rowntrees cafe in the Arndale centre.

Just come back from the best Christmas lunch ever at Oscar’s restaurant! The food was 5 star, the service was great and the place looked beautiful! Thank you so much ! I will be repeating g the experience next year !

Always a lovely atmosphere, helpful staff and delicious food. Called in recently and enjoyed the cottage pie, chips and peas plus a cup of tea. Portion size just right and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Great value, quality fresh food served by helpful, polite staff. Great little cafe something for everyone

We had our daughters wedding yesterday at stables country club The venue is absolutely stunning The food was gorgeous both daytime meal and pizzas chips and salads in the evening The staff were brilliant couldn’t do enough for us very professional and nothing was too much for them so can’t thank them enough If I could give more than 5 stars I would We had the most amazing day Would recommend to anyone

Pleasant local pub with a decent set of beers and ciders.

It's a great pub. All 10 of our group enjoyed the lovely service from the staff. Noting was too much trouble. And to boot was very tasty with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I would go back if I am in the area. I opted for the beef pie, served with a gravy boat ,chips & garden peas. This is a Joseph's Holts pub. If you hop on the website, you will find something to tickle your tastbudds.

We've been in for lunch on a Sunday about 3 times in the last month. Each time we had a warm welcome and a great table in the Snug area. One time our little dog was with us and this wasn't an issue. The food was delivered quickly each time, everyone was happy with their food. All delicious! The Caramel Apple Pie is the best! We had a lovely Mothers Day lunch too. Great decor and atmosphere, we never felt rushed. Will definitely be back, this is a great spot and a great halfway point if you are doing the Bottoms Hall walk.
