Racconto Lounge in Bury

I came in for breakfast and ordered a vegan sausage butty, extra hashbrowns and extra mushroom. The singular use of mushroom is no mistake. My butty and extra hashbrowns were all lovely as per usual...except instead of the usual cluster of about 5 or 6 button mushrooms, I was only given ONE mushroom. Not a nice big Portobello mushroom, but a mushroom no bigger than a wheel of Babybell cheese. I paid £1.25 for a mushroom the size of my big toe. I could buy a whole punnet of mushrooms for less. On asking the server if I really do only get one mushroom for the price of a whole punnet, he did explain others have complained about this which I'm sure doesn't make his day at work any better. He probably perspires with dread every step across the floor to deliver a singular mushroom to an unsuspecting fungi fanatic. I found this whole situation more silly than anything, and I must add that I would love the level of optimistic whimsy and delusion of the person who made the unhinged decision to have people pay £1.25 for a singular mushroom.

I understand that it is dog friendly,however, I do feel as though they need take hygiene more seriously. 2 dogs all of the seats and sofa drooling and was never wiped. I even saw a small dog on the table.

Excellent place, been here twice now 2 years apart but everything been great on both occasions. Staff friendly, food great and same as every lounge. Chai latte very good, only thing I took a picture of

Best place to eat in Bury, been so many times and has never let me down. Food is well worth it and a really nice place to eat or drink.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast very reasonable for food ... But coffees were expensive

One of my favourite places to go. I've Been here with my son, with friends and for a family meal for my sons birthday last year love it.

Was really looking forward to the shakshuka, we have had it a few times at various lounges.this wasn't as good as it didn't have the roasted chickpeas.we pointed this out to a member of staff and they said they had run out of chickpeas..like it was normal to run out of a main ingredient and not mention it.just a sorry we didn't have any...

Been a while since coming here as we didn’t have the best experience in the past but welcoming staff and great place to eat or drink as a whole. Definitely recommend if you want a good food menu with a good atmosphere. Terry is one of the main reasons for our return who goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy. “Give that man a raise”

Fabulous pre theatre meal. Great food and beautiful surroundings

After being knocked back by two restaurants with bad customers service around the area of the rock we chose to eat here. Straight in with no waiting, it was a Saturday night and the staff were busy but did acknowledge that I was waiting at the bar and apologised for the delay. Once I was served the meal arrived shortly afterwards and the food was spot on.

The venue accepts dogs which is lovely to be inclusive, however the place sounded like a dog kennel, dogs barking constantly. The coffee was to be desired, asked for a latte and received a cappacino. When i questioned it, staff replied, that's our lattes. Couldn't drink it as it was far too strong. The food was OK as it came a little cold.

We’ve been to Racconto Bury many times now, everytime the breakfast is just bang on. Great food, great coffee! Just what you need in the AM. The vegetarian options are great too, and a vegan menu is available!

We've eaten here a number of times. Food is OK, and service is good. Our only bug bear is the amount of dogs they allow in, especially when they all start barking at one another. My husband has animal allergies so we can only go on the quiet days now. Which is a shame as its a great place to eat and chat.

This is my go-to when in Bury. Love the decor! Great menu and coffee! They do sell a variety of alcohol but I have only visited for breakfast and lunch, so I never tried it.

First time getting there for food ,it's nice atmosphere and lovely staff, although the burger I order expecting much bigger size compared by price.

Sorry really wanted to like this place but the food is horrendous. 11 thin oven chips in a tiny pot is just trolling your customers. Burger was one of the worst I've had in a long time, took 2 small bites and that was enough. I would also change your music, I don't feel like the structure of the place suits base music in the background, I would opt for something more chilling.

Every time I come here I'm always impressed. Great service, great staff, good food. Vibes all day. Merry Xmas x

To long to get a coffee, 40mins...music was too loud we couldn't have a conversation!

Absolutely love this place, my now boyfriend of over a year took me here on our first date and it was honestly magical and I feel like I relive it every time I go. We love this place and all the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. I've not a bad word to say about this place. 5 stars!

UPDATE after my 2* review which said: “It’s been our go to place when my friends & I meet in Bury for a long time but not a good experience last month…. Very disappointed ~ Racconto you can do much better!” After another visit today ~ so pleased to say Racconto & its staff didn’t’ disappoint at all. Thank you for good service & lovely food. Happy to go again soon 👍🏻

Very busy but friendly efficient service.

Nice place to visit. Shown to a table and informed where to order and where toilets were. The staff is friendly enough. The food is nice, but this time I waited almost 35 minutes for quesadillas and a sausage sandwich

Second visit to Racconto Longe Bury… A little bit of a sombre greeting upon arrival, but quickly shown to our table with no waiting… Ordered via the App ( really miss table service in restaurants), pretty easy ordering with no network connection issues thankfully.. Food arrived after about 15 minutes, it was well worth the wait… everything arrived hot, really well presented and flavoursome… We’ll be back :)

We always love how accommodating the staff are here to us with our small toddler. It's a very family friendly environment and we love that there is a full gluten free and vegan menu for our family and friends that need that.

Discovered this place randomly while out with a friend. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was very good and presented well. If you're not a fan of going to the counter to order, there's a qr code at the table you can scan to order

I have been to the Racconto lounge on a number of occasions and on the whole food is good, unfortunately on the last occasion all three meals were cold and service was poor. I was offered to return food and have another try, however after already waiting 20 minutes for a simple breakfast and being told a replacement would take some time I opted not to and eat the remains of my cold food. Unfortunately I will not be having breakfast there again when going to Bury. I will have to consider whether I eat a lunch meal or evening meal there at all.

So so atmosphere and not a great selection of beer

Popped in for a quick snack whilst out shopping. Was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it was. Had 2 Coffee's, Cumberland Sandwich and Hot tomato and mozzarella panini. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The decor is something to be seen, it's beautiful. You could spend all day taking it all in... definitely recommend and will be back.

The food was amazing. Definately recommend. I had the lounge burger it was best burger Ive had on a meal out.

First visit nice place and food. Was shown to table, they didn't explain they don't do table service, when they gave the menu, and you need to order via a QR code on the table, so we had a wait and then asked a server who explained, but top tip is just to walk to the bar and order there it's easier

Love it here that I recommend to everyone I have dragged people there to have lunch where they enjoyed it too . The whole place, staff, food make you relax and feel at ease and with a great meal. Please try it once you won't regret it

Visited yesterday. A fantastic experience.....really looked after by lovely attentive and professional staff. The food was delicious with fabulous fast service. Would highly recommend.

I like to visit here as it's always busy but service and food is always the same. I have a small baby and I've been with and without my baby. The baby change facilities are good and clean and have stock for emergencies if you ran out of nappies! Great stuff. They host events I've always been interested never been yet but seen them and look good. There was a painting one which I saw once. Food always delicious 😋 and staff always friendly and accommodate. Doggos allowed too 👍🏻

Further to my wife's review which was misunderstood by the respondent. We waited at the front door to be seated, we were handed menus and shown to a table by a member of staff, with a settee and two armchairs near the front entrance. We sat down and looked at the menus after twenty minutes of seeing other tables being served we left. Nobody explained the QR code ordering system, nobody approached us and nobody questioned us leaving. A very poor experience. We went to the Trackside and we were successful!!!

The second visit here. Unfortunately, both times we got attitude from one particular staff member, who has the biggest chip on her shoulder! If working there is 'beneath you' than move on!!! And stop making customers feel as though you're going to 'sort them' in an alleyway! Hard-faced and very aggressive. All the other staff were perfectly pleasant, though! Won't be back.

Continue to return here with our kids. Food is lovely. Reasonably priced. Baby and child friendly. Lovely staff who are attentive and friendly.

Oh dear never again. Dirty table. Staff all looked somewhat scruffy. A strange mush mash menu. Food seemed very processed. Looked like it was just dumped on the plates. Chips looked like scraps etc etc. very little interaction with the staff they never even bothered to ask how the food was. Deffo not coming back

We've vistited Racconto Lounge on a number of occasions, always found the staff very helpful and welcoming we've been greeted seated promptly. Love the quirkness of this place all the pictures and mirrors on the walls, they have a selection of games and toys to amuse children. Large menu with something for everyone never had a problem with anything we've ordered. Toilets are clean and tidy, sinks have running hot water and the drier actually dries your hands.

Sam and his team are always friendly even when it’s busy and nothing is a problem. Food is excellent value .Our favourite place to eat in Bury

Comfortable place good food feels American style

Arrived with a group of 10 and Mylo shuffled the restaurant to accommodate us just before he finished his shift.

Came here yesterday for dinner. I went to the bar to order food because my daughter has a dairy allergy, I asked the server if she could have sweet potato fries instead of normal fries and he said that was fine. When the food was served there was cheese all over the sweet potato fries. I ended up swapping fries with my daughter because I didn’t want to complain because the service was already very slow.

Normally great been going every Monday for a long time. I always have chicken and bacon salad the time past four times ive had no paresan on no roasted peppers no seeds . I always ask for no tomato and no avocado this week i got no cheese no seeds no roast peppers and avocado under the salad it wasn't worth having. My daughter had pancakes with bacon it was burt to a crisp.

As a single dinner and having breakfast I think service needs updating as I wanted a extra coffee but having to get up and take all your shopping to the bar and losing your table outside because of lack of outside service is quite short sited. And also there should be some server dress code......having your food brought out by someone in shorts flip-flops and white socks....and plates removed buy a young woman in a low cut top and no bra is highly inappropriate....

I took my friend here for her 1st visit, and seeing it through fresh eyes again reminded me what a great place the Racconto Lounge is. The service is great, the drinks were perfect, the pricing is competitive , and the styling and atmosphere make for a great, relaxing and pleasing meet up spot.

We’ve been coming here regularly since it opened but not been for a couple of months and were very disappointed. Had the lounge breakfast which we used to love and although it came quickly we were a bit shocked. The bacon was so over cooked it was burnt black and fragmented when you tried to cut it ! Very hard to eat let alone chew. Sausages were a bit bland and no taste at all to the mushrooms The meet and greet was fine, but we had no follow up, like “how’s everything?” And a very brusque “finished?” before taking the plates away before we could say anything Think it will be a long time before we come back as a meal we looking forward to as a treat was so poorly cooked and served

Chilled atmosphere, good foor for both vegan non vegan customers, lovely staff who provide great service. All in all very pleasant place to go

We were seated right in front of an open door which wouldn’t stay closed and was blowing a cold breeze. We were then directed to order on the QR code, each time we added something to the basket it flagged up saying it was now unavailable. We left.

Visited on a busy Sunday morning, placed our order at till and we found a table for the 5 of us with in 5 minutes of picking up our drinks. The food was well cooked, tasty and value for money. All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Would recommend trying your self.

I'm very faddy with my food and like plain food nothing was to much trouble for them to sort some "plain" food out for me which was lovely really enjoyed it and left a message for chef to say thank you

food brilliant and service excellent as always ALTHOUGH THE MANAGER JACK WHO attended this evening on his day off was extremely LOUD, BAD MANNERED, RUDE to everyone including the staff, i was witness to him screaching and shouting extremly loud and physically hitting staff, im actually appualed to what i witnessed as i was with a small party of friends, many of whom have disabilities and some with mental health issues, i would be very suprised if this behaviour has not been brought to your attention from staff also disgusting and totally unproffesional

Visited on a Sunday morning, we really loved the vibe and decor here. Plenty of staff working, all who we spoke to were friendly and welcoming. Food was really good, I had the Miami Brunch - would have liked it to include a flatbread or similar so I ordered garlic ciabatta on the side which went really well. My girlfriend had the eggs with spinach and mushroom, she really enjoyed it but would suggest a little more hollandaise sauce with it. Drinks were equally tasty, we tried the watermelon iced tea and the pink lemonade. We would definitely return, especially as there were so many vegetarian options.

Nice restaurant with a different decor to most restaurants. Serving time could have been quicker as several of the staff walked past us before we were noticed. Takes time for the food to be delivered, but it's nice grub if a little small, not the place to get stuffed. Good vegan menu, but it is a little pricy, we were in the middle of bury, though. Recommended if you like something different.

Great atmosphere, such a beautiful place but unfortunately I never had a good experience there . As an artist I love this place but as a customer no . First I went there to do some photography for my photography project but I had an awful experience, I'm still not sure why they act like that so I said maybe it was me . This time we went there to have a little family birthday party, we booked the table and talked to the manager about our plan( we wanted to have a cake and they said you can bring your cake here and gave it to us then we will bring it to your table) , we did everything they said but unfortunately when we arrived there they said we can't accept your cake because on the cake box written " it's not suitable for NUT allergies" , they said you can't have your cake here . But the thing is the cake box was made for all kinds of cakes not just for us ( and I'm sure our cake was completely nut free as we asked for ) however all the birthday party was ruined just because some nuts !

The food and staff were exceptional. Recommend I would.

One of the stand-out restraunts in this complex. Looks great, and the food backs it up. The Chilli was very good. It's also nice when you order fresh orange and it's just that, and not out of a carton. The cost was reasonable, and the service was good. Turns out it's part of a chain, and we've had equally good experience at some of their other restraunts.

Honestly we couldn't fault the place
