Went for something to eat food was average but Got a £100 parking fine a week later beause I didnt enter my reg as i didn't know you had to ,there are signs but didn't notice them , so won't be going back, totally unacceptable I was there for 48 minutes ,like me most families go there because they are on a budget and just want to take there kids for something to eat ,it's a joke and I'm not the first person to complain about this so be warned folks the parking cost twice the price of the meal

Kev was lovely and very helpful, will be back again as it was the first time bringing my four year old and we have all enjoyed ourselves.

My son & I had time to have a quick lunch & randomly stopped and ate here today (Tuesday) . Everything was pitch perfect. The food and service were excellent. Every member of staff was friendly & helpful. Thanks to Molly behind the bar, Lisa was warm and attentive but a big shout out to chef Byron. My lamb kofta wraps were delicious. Salt & Pepper chips were HOT and tasty and my son was very happy with his Full English. We are definitely going to make it a regular thing!! Thank you all

Food was great, service was great, people sat in the family who were drinking and shouting. Swearing and talking loudly about things they shouldn't.

Love coming for breakfast at the Papermill. Amy and Lisa make us feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Food excellent as is the service.

Food was lovely, service was great but the chef playing gansta rap explicit versions very loud so the restaurant could hear it while I eat breakfast in the morning with my under 10 child is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. None of the other staff helped after mentioning it to them until I almost went into the kitchen to say something.

Amazing food and service at Paper mill. We have returned for the third time this week. Great for kids with the wacky warehouse right next door, great menu and special daily deals. Kev was really attentive as our host today and was very helpful.

As a regular it's always nice staff and even nicer kev the waiter recognised me being a regular being friendly, the food is always at a high standards and all I see is all the staff clearing tables keeping ontop of the hygiene and tidy ready for the next customer, it's a really nice friendly team and place to visit, I have even purchased the play pass to come regularly again, thank you for the service and food and fun,

Really busy and staff did great to still serve food efficiently. We reserved a table so no wait for seating, however the tables were crammed into a side room with hardly any space so we moved to another free table that was available and much more suitable of our own accord. Cleaning and collecting was a little too efficient, my wife took our 2 girls to the toilets and a had to tell them not to take the plates twice. Then after when we got deserts I had the same issue again, I moved the plates that I wanted collecting into a pretty obvious pile and had to tell the server to not collect my daughters jelly and ice cream. He still took the sharer bowl that was in front of me that had a last mouthful I was saving for my wife but didnt want to make a fuss over it.

We are regulars to paper mill. Recent visit was really good. Served by Kev. Buy one get one free burgers. Cant go wrong

We ordered 9 main meals. All were very substandard especially for the prices. Restaurant was not busy at the time either. Two meals were brought out 20 minutes before the other meals and were barely lukewarm. They were both roasts and had obviously been precooked and just warmed up. Also we paid for extra cauliflower cheese which was missing. They did bring some out later. The two roasts were refunded in the end but like I’ve said earlier, the standard of food for the rest of the meals was very poor. It’s fair to say we will not be coming back to the Papermill or any other Hungry Horse venue. The previous reviews looked great but unfortunately not on our occasion.

We eat here most weeks and all the staff are really friendly and the food is great. Kev looked after us today and the service was spot on.👍.

One of the girls called Chloe went above and beyond keeping my grandson entertained as he was the only child in here. The place needs more of Chloe’s as she was also very nice, friendly and polite. Will definitely come again.

Molly and Georgia were absolutely good fun to be around. Mad as a box of frogs the pair of them. Not just your run of the mill bar staff. They have a laugh, make you feel welcome and probably the finest looking bar staff around. Their customer service skills are through the chuffing roof. A good team like that makes you look forward to coming again.
