West Ivy in Bury

I visited with my friend a few days ago and had a fantastic lunch. I had seen West Ivy before when in Bury but had never had a chance to go in. I had the Philly cheese steak, and my friend had the enchiladas, both were delicious and came out within a reasonable time. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the decor helped add to the relaxed vibe. Our server Erin took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. I would happily eat at West Ivy again.

Myself and my fiancé came for the first time this evening for date night, my goodness it blew us away how amazing it was, the food was perfect, we had the lamb kofta starter and the hot chicken bites, Philly cheesestack and chicken and waffles mains, followed by biscoff/pistachio profiteroles, customer service was amazing! Our server holly was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond for us, overall a fantastic experience and we will be returning and also recommending to family and friends too! Thank you!

The food is fantastic and well priced and the service is brilliant. We have visited West Ivy many times and it never disappoints.

Fizzy water served with wine not lemonade after asking when waiting for 20 minutes reply was we are busy . Daughter's dessert we asked for no raspberries came with them sent it back for it to return with strawberries she had asked for but still a couple of raspberries in the ice cream so obviously just tried to remove them. Toilets unisex and not clean toilet roll and urine on the floor , toilet seat wonky my son's 21st birthday meal won't return in a hurry!

Strange visit mixed. Long wait for food twenty minutes or so. Pleasant enough staff. Salmon sort of savoury crust was burnt I think salmon when I scraped it off was quite nice.

On arrival we were greeted and found a table for my husband and I - we hadn’t booked. The waitress was lovely and attentive and looked after us . The food was delicious.

We have never eaten here before, bur was such a beautiful looking place! Food service was okay, it was very busy. We had to send our food back which was stone cold but the lady was very helpful and did it immediately. We ended up not having dessert as we said we wanted to order but was sat there for a good while with 3 kids and noone coming over. Food was alright, not really a place for kids to be honest, quote cramped but beautiful aesthetic

We come every month, great place for dinner , lovely warm atmosphere, nice staff, nice hanging chicken, my daughter absolutely loves it

The waitress was a beautiful accommodating blonde lady (think she was called Gemma) I found the experience relaxing and hospitable

Lovely place, good service. Food looked divine, However i was extremely disappointed at the selection of vegan/milk free options, which were almost non existent. Sorry but won’t be returning.?

Lovely place to come to for family and as a couple. We always come here and have a great time. Food is great and so is the atmosphere

Wanted to try here for a while. Our waitress Aisha (hope that’s right) was lovely and really helpful. Ordered the cheese fondue was stone cold and rock hard so was taken back and re heated. Main course was dry and lacked flavour. Wouldn’t rush to go back

Very good food and service, not amazing but not bad at all.

We met up with some friends at West Ivy. It was our first visit and we came on someone's recommendation. The Ivy is good to look at both outside and inside. Outside there is a nice garden with light and heaters if it's a little cool. Inside a modern feel to the decor give a nice ambience. We were shown to our table, given the menu and asked if we wanted drinks which we ordered. A few mins later our drinks arrived. Served with a nice smile and a good discussion about the menu. We made our choices and sat back with our drinks and chatted . The food came quickly and looked and smelled delicious. I have the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza. This was the best Pizza I've ever had. Super tasty, sticky and a great BBQ taste. Everyone said their meals were really great and would come back again. So I highly recommend West Ivy. Good atmosphere Good staff and a great menu.

Chips missing from my partners iron steak meal, but Jack sorted it straight away. I ordered the chicken basket and the chicken was dry. Jack was brilliant, the restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night, but he kept on top of our needs I couldn't fault him at all. Brilliant service

Visited this gorgeous place with my Sister before her hen do, very lovely decor, and was quite thriving so it was a great atmosphere! We ordered an Ivy Punch Cocktail each which was divine 🍒😍 and a meze to share, we also added in 2 lamb koftes for extra cost, they were unreal. All of the food on the platter was beautiful, apart from the olives, which neither of us like lol. Gorgeous time spent in there with very quick service and smiles all round! Will be returning ❤️

Mediocre food . Philly cheesesteak was tasteless. The buffalo prawn starter was smothered so couldn't taste the prawns.

I visited on a warm summer day and the seating outside was perfect! The food was delightful and I was so pleased that the whole menu was halal. I have never tried chicken and waffles before, a yummy experience for sure! Definitely an option for my eater friends out there! I also enjoyed the mocktails and coffee, so make sure you try them.

Food was excellent and the place looks lovely! Service was quite slow but that could have been because we went quite late evening. Overall a lovely place to eat!

Came here for a burger and chips the staff were amazing and when there was very little room on a Saturday they still managed to fit us in and then the food was lovely a great burger and great chips would highly recommend

One of my favourite places to eat in the whole of Greater Manchester, let alone Bury! The decor is beautiful and the space has been used really well even though it is quite snug inside. Stunning food! Definitely recommend the Cheesy Peppercorn Fries, it comes as a side but is a main meal in itself as you get loads! Also loved the Pistachio and Raspberry Profiteroles. Amazing!

They refuse to allow me to book in for a party of 16 people but allow me to make a booking for 10 people and a separate booking for 6 people. Ridiculous service/policies.

Called for cocktails with work group, Jess was brilliant and kept checking on us, First Lady who served us was so helpful and welcoming.

First time visiting West Ivy today after shopping at the rock and called in for a light lunch. I have to say that I was really impressed all around!! With a very modern and stylish inside, to prompt & polite service from the staff. Had the flat iron steak with camembert share, borad!! An oh my God 🤤🤤😋. If you love your cheese and steak, this is a must!! Heavenly all round, highly recommend, and deffo be having it again!! 😍 Would deffo be recommending too friends!! Certainly returning 🤩..

Such great Food n8cley presented. We picked Easter Sat so very busy Lots of people talking so not quiet. But the Service and attention to customers is Star. Thankyou for a lovley afternoon. 20pd per head. No complaints worth ever penny.

This place is definitely worth a visit. The staff are so friendly. The food is delicious, and the desserts are out of this world. I didn't have it but the afternoon looked amazing..

The food was lovely but the service definitely lets it down. Appreciate that small children may be an inconvenience and a bit stressful to a server if making a mess but imagine the stress on the parent. Felt the waitress couldn’t wait to get rid of us. Asking us whether we had finished our food whilst we were still actively eating and made us feel like we had to quickly pay the bill and leave when it was supposed to be a nice treat for my mum.

Had sweet and savoury afternoon tea with my partner. The service was outstanding, the 2 waitresses were lovely and really added to the occasion. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, nothing could be faulted. We were stuffed at the end of it and extremely satisfied. We would definitely recommend it.

Daughters birthday meal , we where greeted with info that they had no soft drinks , no mixers etc so if you wanted a cocktail it was tonic only or fizzy water !!! Asda across the road how about nip for a few litres of fizzy mixers when you know you have parties coming in , very poor service !!! Disappointing night …

Hanging skewer. Delish. Plenty to eat, and the bill was reasonable for 3 of us. Waitress was exceptional. Looking forward to going again.

The food in here is amazing, the only issue is that the service could be better, I understand that this place is busy almost all the time and I am really happy that the place is doing very well, the problem is that they sit u in very uncomfortable places (I was sat in a tiny table just by the entrance Door behind their till), uncomfortable, cold, noisy (cause the bar and kitchen window is just in front of you as well) and the staff just forgets u are there (even with us sat in front of the bar)! Like I said, food is great but they need to work on the service a little bit more!

We went early on New years Eve, 17.00, out of the two dishes my wife ordered they had neither, and said we ran out at dinner, so ended up with something that was like a nandos meal, not great, i had a steak, I've got to say was lovely, but very disappointed with the selection of other meals, would we go back, probably but check the had the food in first

I've had a few bad experiences here, don't think I'll be going again. Came in on Saturday 16th December I Ordered the pesto salmon at £19.95 Which is a piece on salmon and underneath there's the potatoes and vegetables as I was eating it I felt a really hard crunch in my mouth and it was really loud like glass. Continued eating and saw a pretty big size of hard plastic in my food I instantly started retching I felt so sick. The waitress did apologise, they took 20% off the meal but that wasn't good enough, mistakes like that shouldn't happen! Back in the summer I had a summer chicken salad they served me aload of slop everything was soaking wet and soggy especially the chicken also I noticed black pieces in the salad that shouldn't of been in it. I don't like complaining but I did mention it to the waitress and I didn't even get an apology. When I pay a reasonable amount on a meal out I expect it to be decent and eatable.

The staff are lovely and the service was great. The place it's looked very nice both in and outside. There is a great choice on the menu for food and drink. I had the buttermilk southern fried chicken burger 🍔. The hot chocolate was delicious.

The noise and the music were too loud and seemed to get louder as more people came in. Food was messy,on the bao buns plate. The phily steak bun was awful. The steak was chewy and couldn't swallow it . Asked for vinegar and didn't get any. Will not be going anytime soon.

I do not normally do reviews but this time I was left with no choice the behavior of one of your managers last night was disgusting the way she was screaming at her staff in front of customers made us very uncomfortable we regulars and we spend a bit of money in there every other week we can not believe at this day and age there is still animals like that we will not be coming back

Had the afternoon tea of sweet/savoury .. which was delicious,only downside the tables for 2 people are very small.. we struggled to fit everything on!
