Excellent service, a phenomenal cup of Earl Grey Tea with proper leaf tea... paradise! We needed a sit down and a break from driving. Perfect.

Went in a couple of weeks ago and had chili and a cappuccino. Was delicious! Very welcoming and very friendly lady who served me. I loved the old music that was playing!

I’ve visited the Cultured Bean on multiple occasions now, and I have to say it’s one of my favourite places in ramsbottom & somewhere I always recommend to family and friends. The food is amazing, home cooked and consistently good with so much variety, the panini’s are a must try (chicken and chorizo is a stand out). Service is always so welcoming and friendly, it really is Ramsbottom’s hidden gem & definitely worth a visit if you’re there!

Took my girlfriend to this cafe after a beautiful morning out at the cemetery.. We got told that there was a short wait of 20 minutes which wasn’t a problem, ordered an apple juice and a latte, the latte cup was very dirty and the apple juice after being poured into a glass was floating with dirt! We changed the drink for a bottle of coke. When the breakfast came out we tucked in and can’t lie visually from what we could see it looked lovely! Only to find half way thru eating it that the toast was mouldy! This for us was an immediate put off, we have left this place without paying and feel absolutely disgusted!!! Never again would we eat or drink there! Serving mould for food and dirty drinks can make you physically poorly! So disappointed in this place it’s ruined our day.

My friend and I have been in today for the third time and were not disappointed. I had poached salmon new potatoes peas & garnish and it was delicious. My friend had cajun salmon with rice, a few chips & garnish which was also delicious. We both cleared our plates and each had s cappuccino afterwards. The staff & chef were very nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Situated near the train station is a Cultured Bean a fab local café shop located in Ramsbottom offering a wide selection of food items an cakes all made form local sorced ingredients, cooled fresh on the premises. Bacon & sausage on the full English ere spot on 😋.. 🥓 Theu also offer a wide selection of traditional loose tea an coffee option an soft drinks for the kids.

Called in today for a brew and a little bite to eat 😊 Really busy place, the big breakfasts looked yum has did the cake's. Will definitely call again when visiting the area again ☺️

Visiting Ramsbottom via the lovely preserved railway, we popped in to the Cultured Bean for a coffee and a snack. Lots of different blends of fresh coffee, and proper leaf teas too. Also delicious scones and cakes. We decided to pop back later for a 'proper' meal. I had a steak salad, with strips of delicious tender steak on a salad bed, with boiled potatoes, egg, you name it. It was all fresh, freshly prepared, and great. We will make plans to visit again!

Friendly service, good strong coffee and a nice selection of teas. Fluffy scrambled eggs and very tasty bacon. There are always a few of us go for breakfast and they don't mind us moving tables and are very accommodating.

Went in this afternoon for the first time with my wife. Food was great and the service was great. This is an absolutely lovely little coffee shop and more. Will definitely be going back again.

I had a full English in cultured bean yesterday. Superb. Tasty and generous. An American which was top quality. Strongly recommend for breakfast hunters !

Had a lovely lunch here with family . Home made fish cakes with new potatoes and salad and jacket potato with cheese and beans. The cakes looked amazing but we were full. Staff lovely and polite, will definitely return

Wasn’t going to go in here at first due to only one other person being inside and it looked a bit dingey and unappealing. Luckily my judgment was wrong. Had one of the best breakfasts and every table filled up with people being turned away before we finished. Only thing I could complain about is no black pudding.

This is our go to place if we want a hot drink when out walking. The coffees are lovely but the hot chocolate is made from real chocolate and is gorgeous. Worth a visit.

A good and friendly experience where staff were very friendly and welcoming with a smile. The salmon dish my wife and I chose was very well presented and very much to our liking. Really nice breakfast, staff are very nice.

Went for breakfast. Good quality ingredients, friendly staff, nice varied menu. All staff wearing masks or face shields. Knocked off a star because fat on my bacon undercooked for my taste, and I asked to be cooked more. Came back with meat cooked more but fat still not crispy, so if I’d asked for further cooking meat would’ve been inedible. No gluten free options, i.e. toast.

Tried this as second choice actually, not any more, 3 bean chilli for the wife, bbq chicken and sweet chilli sauce for me, very tasty, very reasonable prices, and, by the way, coffee, as you might expect given the name of the cafe, was top quality, one to go back to.

Well worth the visit if you enjoy fine coffee

We had a very good English Breakfast here which was freshly cooked and used locally sourced ingredients. It wasn't the cheapest breakfast but it was good value overall. The coffee here is excellent with a good choice of blends and is very good value. Service is friendly and efficient.

Love the service, environment, food and tea!

I love the cappuccino they serve here with the full fat milk, it’s delicious. Unfortunately their opening times are not consistent and are often closed when I visit Ramsbottom.

Cracking tea rooms that we end up in every ELR 40’s weekend in our usual window seat. And we cause a raucous noise and they still serve us swiftly and nicely! Great selection of tea

We seem to end up here every year on the afternoon of the 1940s weekend, and always seem to end up on the sofas by the window making far too much noise 😉 Rumour has it we first picked this tea room because our friend is called Flick and her nickname is Bean (!) 😂 anyway... the food, drink and service is good and keeps us ending up here every time!

I am not sure why, but, everywhere in Ramsbottom was full today so we found our way to the Cultured Bean.It was very nice inside, set up more like a restaurant than a Cafe. (I actually think they have a Bistro night)I ordered an Americano, lovely coffee but was hoping I'd get offered the choice of roast as they had a wide selection on offer. But, never-the-less it was nice.The food is very reasonably priced, for a lunch menu some of the dishes were more like an evening meal. Gemma ordered sticky glazed chicken strips pitta and, I ordered the Cajun Salmon with homemade Mexican rice. It came with a little side salad too.Overal very nice, and, would come again but service just a little slow (food).

Great local café serving good food at good prices. Nothing fancy but a good range in the standard menu and specials. Children's menu is reasonably priced and realistic for childrens palates.

Popped in with my daughter in law as we had a bit of time before an appointment. The staff were very friendly, we were served straight away when we explained we were on a time limit. A lovely atmosphere, a warm welcome, and a very good cup if tea. Would highly recommend a visit.

As it is the summer holidays we took the kids to ramsbottom for the day. We stopped at the cultured bean for lunch. On arrival the staff we very welcoming and accommodated all for of us even though it was jam packed. The waitress made us aware there could be a wait but in reality the service was really quick. We found all the staff very polite, efficient but didn't get the sense of them rushing us. The staff really impressed me during a busy service which is why I felt I need to post a review.Now the food......I can honestly say it's the best food I've had and I've eaten in a lot of restaurants all over the world. The chicken strips were excellent and the care taken over presentation tells you all you need to know about the chef. The choice of drinks was so diverse, I opted for a Columbian coffee which was so good I got a take out and bought a bag of beans as we were leaving. The price for this experience was so reasonable I couldn't believe it. We have been to Ramsbottom a few times eating in many establishments but this is my favourite and most reasonably priced. I will definitely return. I literally could't find a fault. Just superb.

I ordered a cafatiere of 4* strength Java coffee. It arrived almost see through, tasted like vaguely flavoured hot water, and when I pulled the glass section out I could see there was only about 2mm of coffee in the bottom. When I (politely) complained the waitress said very sniffily that it can't be weak because they put a large scoop in. Codswallop. They didn't replace it, and even though I left most of it they charged me full amount. Absolute joke, I will NEVER go there again.

Having had a previous very positive experience at this little restaurant, it’s unfortunate that this time I have to give a negative review. I went with my friend for an early lunch. She had a nice meal of cheese tartlets which were lovely. As I just had a plate of chips I decided to have a dessert. I looked at the counter display of cakes and said to the waitress that the lemon drizzle cake looked great. She says “yes it’s one of my favourites and it comes with either cream or ice cream”. Therefore I ordered a portion with ice cream. If I hadn’t been with my friend I would have refused it, but I didn’t want to make a fuss. The cake was DRY. I mashed the ice cream in to make it more palatable. When the waitress asked how it was - I replied “Dry”. Then I asked her why the cake in the counter didn’t have a portion out of it - as that’s what I wanted. Her reply actually shocked me. She informed me that my piece of cake wasn’t as I saw from the cake in the counter. NO - it was from a Cake in the back!!!! Namely the old cake!! I was actually taken aback. Also the toilet left a lot to be desired. I will NOT RETURN.

This is great cafe with a friendly owner and great staff.We dropped in for a coffee and cake and were recommended to have a maderia tart just baked and warm from the oven with cream or ice cream. Fabulous flavour with puff pastry and lovely fruit filling and the coffee was fab with a choice of bean to suit you.This cafe does breakfasts and superb lunches.We can highly recommend this great little cafe.

Called in here for a quick breakfast prior to optician appointment in Ramsbottom. The staff were extremely polite friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was freshly cooked and well presented. The warm scone with jam and fresh cream was particularly delightful. Would definitely visit again.

Delicious homecooked food and friendly staff

Called in for a quick bite to eat on a cold day while visiting the East Lancs Railway. The cafe is about two minutes from Ramsbottom station. Nice coffee and tasty sandwiches with friendly service. Quite busy but never rushed by staff to move you on, they are quite happy to leave customers to read the newspapers. The selection of cakes looked good too.

Fairly limited menu but some unusual choices. Pleasant enough but lacks atmosphere. Some things a bit pricey for what they are.

Lovely cafe and coffee shop. Staff very friendly and nice atmosphere. Large selection of coffee’s and tea. Steak sandwich was very tasty as were the portions of chips. Wide selection of desserts available too. Reasonably priced.

Great place to have a bite or drink. We had brunch and coffees, rather a long wait but when it arrived it was tasty and well presented. I like my bacon more well done but it was fine- Egg, 2 slices bacon, small sausage, tomato, beans, mushrooms, toast and fried potatoes- a real plateful.

I visited The Cultured Bean today & thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The cafe was very busy however the service and food were both excellent. I’ve not visited Ramsbottom for a while but when I’m in this area, this is always my cafe of choice.

Served by a lovely young man,great sense of humour, he made an elderly lady feel very welcomed. Unfortunately the food not that great.

Absolutely delicious! I had the chicken and chorizo panini and the lemon drizzle cake, they were both 10/10! Great service from the staff as well, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping for lunch here!

Can't recommend it enough. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel so welcome. The food and drinks are top notch too.

We visited for the first time today and we ordered lunch. The food was beautifully presented and everybody enjoyed what they had. The sandwiches were very fresh and my husband said that the sweet chilli chicken with rice was the nicest that he has ever had. The service was excellent and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A lovely atmosphere-we will definitely go there again on our next visit to Ramsbottom.

Go here often sometimes it’s very busy other times its not so I always phone ahead to reserve table. Always good food and friendly service. Highly recommended Rogers Madeira tarts.

The Cultured Bean is always a lovely place to visit for lunch or just for coffee and cake. The staff are really welcoming and helpful and, while it does get busy at lunchtime, the atmosphere is always relaxed, not too noisy so a great place to meet for a catch up with friends.

Good service. Very pleasant waitress. We visited at lunchtime and were the only people in for most of the time. Thought they might do better if the breakfast menu, which was very good and reasonably priced, but only served until 11 30 was served for lunch as well. We asked if they could do us a tea cake and bacon sandwich from the breakfast menu, which they did. Both were good. This is more of a cafe, but many of the dishes on the lunch menu were more expensive meals that maybe most wouldn't want at lunchtime.

Always have a great meal enjoy Roger's food and his hospitality, a real family affair

Rubbish service and rubbish food, said they were out of food and that they couldn't cook us anything but then served a family a full meal. When we complained, didn't even say sorry (they had in fact served the family the food we had asked for). Stupid waste of time. Don't bother.

Haber hecho un vuelo de misericordia al cercano Hospital de aves salvajes con dos pájaros heridos greenmount necesitábamos una comida relajante. Este café ayudó a reforzar mi primera impresión de ser un tipo de clase de Ramsbottom alta de la ciudad.

At lunch time today three of us paid our first visit to this eating establishment and to say we were delighted with what we had ordered is an under statement - it certainly will not be the last. Fresh food, beautifully cooked, served by pleasant staff - my tuna melt with side salad was the nicest I have had anywhere - the coleslaw was delicious. We will certainly go there again.

Popped in for a coffee and sandwich, had the El Salvador which was amazing. Lovely atmosphere with friendly service. Next time I'm passing through Ramsbottom, I'll definitely pop in again.

The chocolate torte here is lovely, they have a varied range of coffee served in a cafetière however I did think it was a little on the weak side.

Cold afternoon in Ramsbottom and we we chose this place on the off chance...so glad we did. Belgium White hot chocolate with a mince pie for myself and Madeira tart with a glass of Madeira wine for my husband. Lovely service with a warm welcome and feel good food. A chat with the owner about places in Madeira that we knew made it a lovely way to spend a dank February afternoon. Definately worth a visit.
