Good local pub , well priced beverages.

Use to booze in there 30 odd years ago, good pint of boddies, didn't do grub , always packed with the same faces, ugly ones at that, looks the same on the outside, don't know inside tho, maybe one day I'll visit again to catch up with any of the old crowd who's left.

What a friendly local pub. Brilliant landlady Jo and first rate staff. A pleasure to visit. We'll done to all.

Food and service poor, no atmosphere a bit grubby, cheap beer.no car park there is wheelchair accessible.

Great local pub to go and watch the football

Good beer and great service. The landlady is friendly and conscientious about ensuring social distancing and making sure trouble causers are asked to leave. If every pub was run like this, everything would be fine. We feel welcome and safe.

Been here a few times and has slowly been the place I go for breakfast, The food is good and the staff are friendly. They do vegan food which tastes good and the price for what you get it great. Very good place to go if you on a budget and want good food.

Came to a wedding yesterday, Steve and his staff were amazing. The food they did was out of this world. Everyone was so friendly. Very reasonable drinks prices also.

Handy for the Bury Transport Museum this Wetherspoons pub was used for lunch. Chicken club Wednesday has some good offers and at a very reasonable price. Buttermilk chicken with chips and extra onion rings was delicious. Most draught lagers now available on the meal deal thus making it even better value. Some nice pictures and info about local characters like Richmal Crompton who wrote the Just William books from my boyhood days. The pub takes its name from the founder of the Metropolitan police force (Peelers), as Sir Robert was a local man

After a mornings shopping on Bury Market we went here for dinner and ordered a variety of meals and all were very tasty and well presented.Some included free drinks and the price was extremely reasonable for four of us.

Although quiet, a really nice place to go when you have finished an over-run shift and need to relax. The only problem is that it would be nice if the manager actually read and responded to reviews! It seems as though they don't care!

Very busy, not somewhere i would return not pleasant. Some unsavoury goings on. Cheap beer. A little seedy for me.

Whilst this isn’t the most up market of places Steve serves a fabulous Carvery meat that melts in your mouth and the veg is cooked to perfection. This is good wholesome food at its best. The atmosphere is great and the staff make you feel very welcome. We were visiting relatives in the area and will definitely eat here again if were over that way.

Place not what its made out to be, certainly didn't feel welcome nor was the food anything special. Wine was like something you'd get from a local club

Decent beers/ales, good food for a quick bite.

Visited for the carvery as my husband watches the football in here quite often, excellent value for money and I think I can say this was the best carvery I’ve ever had we will be back very soon !

Great friendly pub serving excellent food . Carvery sandwich for £4.50 was fantastic . Staff are great as well !

I've had many happy times in this pub over the years including my wedding reception. Steve E is the best landlord I've ever known, does all he can to please and serves excellent food. The Sir Robert Peel will not disappoint, well worth a visit.

The Pub is a friendly place and well stocked with beers wines and spirits. Cocktails are excellently mixed here. A Great selection of Gins and mixers. When Steve the Landlord does his Sunday Carvery the place is packed out due to the food being excellent and presented with care and detail. A great place to drop in and relax or with in the Tap room you can watch Sky sports or BT Sports on Big TV's or relax in the large Family room at the rear. Staff are brilliant and helpful.

Fabulous Sunday lunches back on at the Sir Robert Peel. Excellent food hand cooked and served by Steve the owner. The place was packed out showing how popular Steve's cooking is. Well Worth waiting for Delicious Food

Excellent local. Wonderful selection of Gin and cocktails. Not your average suburban pub, great staff and service. Highly recommended.

It was a great atmosphere food great people very friendly will be going again .The building is set back off the road and is good in the summer as you can open the windows right back.

Love this place. Really friendly with great Gin menu and cocktails. Best pub in the area. Botanist gin with fevertree mixer. Expresso Martinis to name a few the couple that run the place have tried to do something different to cater for women as well as the traditional lager/beer drinkers.

Wow, I just wish I could pick this pub up and move it nearer to where I live, I attended my cousins 50th Birthday Party here, The staff are just superb, Never have I been in an Estate Pub, that as such high standards, The Hot Buffet was just to die for, Very tasty and plentiful, It is a very friendly and well run establishment, with a vast cocktail list and a great selection of beers and for the food, well that's just fantastic, If I lived closer to it, It would most certainly be my Local, Well done to all involved for keeping such a fantastic pub, which is rare these days as most are closing, Thank you all for your superb hospitality

Elegimos el Sir Robert Peel para la llamada de mi madre porque mi hermano le encanta este lugar. No nos decepcionó. La comida era fabulosa, variado y abundante, el personal amable, atento y acogedor y la situación es realmente precioso. Tienen jardines preciosos y una insuperable vista de los Pennines. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

Food is amazing value for money and staff are really friendly great atmosphere I would highly recommend it
