The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Love the pan fried chicken and Greaves Park does it the best. Lovely service and friendly staff who can't do enough for you.

Top place everybody needs to go. Over the road the Local Dogging Society hold meetings once a week on a Thursday evening

We were shown into a section and told that we could pick any table. We sat at our table, which took a while as we settled down our 4 month old baby and got her stuff ready. We decided what we wanted to eat and drink whilst we heated our babies bottle up. Just as we started feeding her and ready to order, we noticed the manager hovering in the corner and eventually the waitress came over and told us that we had to leave in 10 minutes because the table we were on had been booked. Lots of tables had reserved signs on but not ours which is why we chose it. When we told them we the mix up, they told us we were wrong and we had to move. 1. Coward of a manager to loiter and let the waitress do his dirty work. 2. Unorganised team. 3. Heartless to make us move as we were feeding our baby. 4. Don’t blame us and accuse us of lying for your team’s mistakes. ….we didn't move table, we left straight away, theres a nicer pub in Christleton where the food was great and the service was caring and excellent.

We came for a late lunch. The food was lovely but the service was awful. We were early and so had a drink in the bar area. We were eventually called to be seated and we sat and waited for someone to come and take our order. The waiters all looked very scruffy. Our orders were taken but we had to wait so long for it to arrive that we thinking of leaving. The roast lamb was very nice and we all enjoyed the meal. We asked for the bill but yet again we waited and waited but no bill arrived. We had to ask a different waiter and eventually it came. Put us off going again due to the service.

Visiting some friends and staying over. I was quite surprised at last orders being called at 2240hrs and the fact the staff member who called actually had her jacket on and asked us to leave bang on 2300hrs. This is a first for me and mate and wasn't that impressed. Seemed the staff member wanted to be elsewhere, not what you want to hear but that's what happened.

Lovely friendly pub with excellent service, good food at a competitive price. Thoroughly enjoyed our food which was well cooked and generous portions.

Service was slow. Soup was very nice but the portion too small. Not asked if we would like a desert or further drinks and it appeared difficult to pay individually.

nice place for coffee/hot chocolate and cakes very friendly staff unit could be due for a refit soon looking a little tired

Beautiful pub/restaurant. Food was fantastic, lovely atmosphere. Staff were really nice - apart from one, Laura she was rude, arrogant and unprofessional. She made us feel unwelcomed and out of place. Word of warning- if she’s on shift, stay away her sour face makes you want to run in fear!! Shame

Cenamos aquí, ya que está a un tiro de piedra de los Jardines de Invierno, donde teníamos entradas para un espectáculo. El menú está lleno de las comidas habituales que se encuentran en cualquier pub sin nada particularmente diferente. Tenía la hamburguesa de chile que era una hamburguesa con chile con carne encima en un bap blanco, junto con patatas fritas y ensalada lateral pequeña. No estoy seguro de qué fue hecha la hamburguesa, pero ciertamente no fue carne de res, que ciertamente debería haber sido por el precio. Pensé que todo el menú era bastante caro dado el tipo de establecimiento que es. Según mi experiencia, no es un lugar que recomendaría.

This bar restaurant is more of a bar (full stop). They didn’t have food. The coffee was good and the service was mostly self serve. We went for breakfast, I think it’s probably a nicer experience in the evening but not great when little breakfast or lunch options were available. I think we ordered a bunch of tuna melts and a salad.

Lovely pub been going in for years, only problem is now its quite dear for drinks (i know most places are, but sadly this is dearer than most) Food is very nice and staff are as a;ways very good Drinks are nice too a good selection and Dog Friendly with treats and bowls of water for dogs Nice seating area outside too

Been here before and always enjoyed it but not today! The meal portions were tiny and cost £9.99 and when we complained the chefs attitude was dreadful 'eat it or a refund' Then when we complained further he wouldn't come out of the kitchen and left the poor barmaid to deal with us needless to say won't be going back it was a rip-off

Well not been for a while early last year good to see busy ! Noise well like a school canteen but hey quietened down ordered cottage pie and chips eventually came out salt pepper vinegar caught waitress just o we have run out ! Been like that all day surely some one would check stock ! Spoilt day but hey it was hot though broccoli cold cup of tea never asked for sugar went back actually had it in not bad for 12.00 o clock

What a hidden gem in the city centre of Manchester. All you can eat Lunch for £8.50 between 12noon till 2pm. Including a drink £10.50 (beer or soft drink your choice). Their menu change every day and today we had chilli con carne, roast chicken, fish goujons with a lot of sides your choice, salad and cakes for desert. I will be back as this was just a bargain. The place has been running for years and I wish I knew about it earlier.
