Had tempura battered fishfingers. When it arrived was not tempura battered just run of mill fishfingers. It was between two pieces of very hard bread I had to remove the top piece of bread in order to cut it and even then I struggled to saw it whilst doing so the salad and crisps were flying off the too small plate. Not a pleasant experience.

Have always found Booth's cafes to be a safe bet for good food and service. This however, was our first visit to the Garstang store. We perused the menu board at the entrance, which offered the fish and chips that my husband was wanting for his birthday lunch. He took a seat while I queued for over 15 minutes before being told this option was not available. We then decided to merely have soup and get a chippy tea later. I then had to queue again before being provided with 2 bowls of luke warm soup with no choice of bread roll. Very disappointed indeed.

Met business colleagues for lunch. Lunch fine and had a table that allowed us to discuss work. The downside and reason for poor marks is that one colleague (who arrived early) was fined for being too long in the car park!! Not using this place again.

Ordered chips and a chicken Caesar wrap. The chips were dry and rather burnt. The chicken wrap was served on a plate still in its wrapper having been taken off a shelf. When I opened it, there was hardly any content, it was mainly the wrap and no chicken. Absolutely no effort has gone into serving the food and I was very disappointed. I asked for some sauce and the staff member said that I would have to follow them back to the counter to collect it, they wouldn't bring it back to my table. I would expect better from Booths. Needless to say, I won't be eating at Booths Garstang again.

We came to Garstang as our car was being MOTd. We hoped for a nice cafe on the main road through, and a look around the shops to find the place like a ghost town around 9.30 am very little open or closed down. We found one place open where we could get a lovely oat milk coffee, there was a loo (so important for older folks) and comfy sofas to relax- what more do you need whilst passing time whilst a way from home. We were not rushed by the staff, it was a nice place to unwind. We decided on brunch as we were so relaxed there. Pity the vegan options that sounded wonderful were not available like vegan cheese or vegan sausages. Strange as the shop below sells the items? Still, the vegan breakfast without the bangers nice! Lovely girl serving so polite. If anything would have liked to see the tables cleared . We were there a long time and so were the used crockery dotted about the place despite being quite. It would have looked tidier and more inviting if used plates and cups cleared. Enjoyed the cafe so much we will start shopping in Booths when we travel from Lancaster and have lunch there. It was an older customer base so felt we fitted in! Hope you keep the vegan options stocked up!!

It's a pity that the cappuccinos here are so hit and miss. Sometimes you get a nice drink but other times like today, you get a drink that is coffee and boiled milk with no texture which tastes horrid. Sadly my request for a replacement didn't go down well and the assistant totally took the p by giving me one that was almost stone cold. It's a shame that Booths, who are coffee specialists, don't invest more in staff training.

Not been here for some time as last visit was a fiasco. Pleased that this visit was pretty much spot on. Staff more “experienced” this time. I had bacon & mushroom barm, very good, bacon generous & well cooked. Nice roll too. Coffee was spot on too. It opens early (8am Mon - Sat), which is good as everything else in Garstang seems to open at 10am.

Visited for the first time while passing through . Waited 15 minutes to order food then 45 minutes for food to arrive. Fish finger sandwich, deep fried fish fingers a dry bread bun, a jacket potato that had been overcooked/re cooked that much that you couldn't actually get a fork into it ! Rather than stand in another queue for 15 minutes to complain together with the man who had ordered a bacon sandwich and had 1 slice of bacon in it and the man who had paid extra for cheese on his burger to be told they didn't have any cheese ( in a shop that sells cheese ), we just left. Would love to say at least the staff were nice but when leaving we passed a member of staff being rude to a couple that were complaining, telling them what do you expect when we are understaffed. Absolutely never again !

Booths Garstang is our regular supermarket shop and used to be our regular café stop. I can only echo the complaints of numerous others. To give Booths a chance I have complained directly to Booths on several occasions but just get the standard 'we have passed your comments onto the manager' and nothing changes. It basically boils down to nobody cares. Hot food is not available all day because they have either 'turned the ovens off, sorry (not)' or 'run out of eggs / beans / bacon / anything that you could possibly ask for, sorry (not)' as well as on one recent occasion 'it's only called an all-day breakfast, it's not all day'. The tables pile up with used pots, and hilariously a couple of weeks ago when we moved a tray to another table (which was already being used as a dumping ground) so we could sit down we were ticked off by the person clearing the tables who asked us how they were supposed to know which tables to wipe if people moved the used trays off them! It would be funny if it wasn't so sad that such a great resource in the middle of Garstang treats its customers with such disregard, and a company that claims to have a proud heritage of serving its customers can't even be bothered to properly address complaints or, I guess, bother to read reviews on the web.

Once again utterly disappointed. Ordered two jacket potatoes, one with coleslaw. You guessed it.....no coleslaw, for gods sake this cafe sits on top of a supermarket. I pointed this out and was just met with a shrug of the shoulders. Would have left if I wasn't with my elderly mother. On top of it all one potatoe was sent back as stone cold and both had inedible skins. Unless you are a crocodile. 100% will never never never return. Would rather lick the tarmac on the road outside.

Cafe was pretty quiet, we found a table & decided on what to have.My wife went to queue (around 3 people in queue). After 25 minutes, my wife was still 2nd in the queue. The lady on the till could not have gone any slower if she had tried, no urgency or apology to what was by now a queue of 10. Then of course the till broke!!At this point we decided to take our business elsewhere.More staff needed, management need to oversee the operation. We definitely will not be rushing back!

Very large and spacious cafe that seems clean and well laid out. Not much choice of meals but we there for a breakfast (£5.25) so ordered these at the till with drinks. I understand that due to coronavirus all condiments and cutlery is being given out rather than people helping themselves, but they need to think how they are doing this. After ordering 2 breakfasts I was asked ‘do you want cutlery?’ and she waited for the answer!!!! Then it was do you want sugar? Yes please. How many? Two. Do you want stirrers? Yes. How many? Do you want salt? Yes. How many? And so it continued through the condiments!! Absolutely painful and so slow it felt like a comedy sketch!!Breakfasts arrived pretty quickly and were ok, nothing special but nothing particularly bad (though another place that only cooks one side of the bacon and therefore it’s undercooked). Not sure I’d return as the service is just too frustrating.

Had an afternoon snack here with my wife. No problems with the venue, ambience, and food/drinks - all very acceptable. What was disappointing was to watch a young lad - a staff member - undertake cursory cleaning and wiping down of tables and trays, when the Coronavirus was at the centre of everyone's attention. No spray used - just what appeared to be a well worn cloth, which was probably depositing more germs than it was removing. Certainly, not something I would have expected from Booths.

The cafe has the potential to be great as it’s nice and spacious so great for families and serving booths food which is perceived as luxury. However the speed of the service is excruciating. All we wanted was pre made sandwiches and drinks from the fridge and we queued for 25 mins. The servers are few and they serve hot drinks at the till which delays the queue massively. On this occasion the till operator supervised the bread toasting while the queue watched on. Booths offers a free coffee for shoppers, or at least used to, thus undermining local coffee shops. Which is ironic, given that as Boothes are now struggling they will no doubt play the "support local business" card, which they have done for many years with their "we are locally supplied" adverts. The cafe is fine, but really is nothing special. Service can be a little hit or miss. We have had items brought to our table a little burned or in a random order, and sometimes they can take a while. Not a "bad" restaurant, but slightly below the high quality that the rest of the store aims for. Limited options for vegetarians.

A bit of of a bottleneck ordering food but acceptable wait for it to be served. Its a large restaurant and no doubt the staff have difficulty coping when its busy. Food wholesome and good value for money.

I love Booths stores and this was another good one. It's clean and tidy, staff are friendly and willing to have a chat whilst serving. The carpark is large but has ANPR so you can't stay longer than three hours. The product range in store varies from your common everyday brands to local Premium top quality produce. The pricing is reasonable. Free trolleys, a nice range of Booths bags that can be brought

Went on a Sunday morning for quick breakfast before shopping. Staff Completely forgot our order after 30 minutes so then was assured would only take a few more minutes. Went back several times after only to be told it's coming or just being plated up. Finally after 50 minutes it arrived. Was very average food. Our coffees had gone cold - no apology or offer of a fresh drink. Needs management to organise as it was unacceptable. I never write a bad review in trip advisor but I felt I needed to to write this one. Come on Booths sort yourselves out. We always shop here when one is nearby. Will not be using your cafes in the future.

Queue management consisted of serving hot crumpet and toasted tea cake 10 mins before drinks counter was reached, so were stone cold, possibly the worst flat white coffee ever tasted! No foam, no taste and way too hot. All the equipment is there and the coffee used is good so it's just about not training your staff. No management presence so not even able to complain without queuing and blasting the poor staff, not my style.

We stopped in for the afternoon tea today and it was a little disappointing. The booths cafe normally offers nice food at a reasonable price, especially as a loyality card holder. We've had the afternoon tea before and it has been lovely, but today sadly they'd run out of cakes and the clotted cream was still frozen. The young girl serving did find some caramel shortbread and Bakewell tart, but not quite chocolate cake or Victoria sponge and popped down stairs to the shop for some fresh clotted cream. On the plus side the sandwiches were lovely: tuna mayo, egg mayo and ham, and with a nice scone too it was ok.My kids never believe people read my reviews, so if this was helpful please let me have your vote. It's always good to prove them wrong now and again.

Not only is the food good, but the quality of the cafe in terms of seating and tables, space, and overall ambience, is first class. The cafe is situated on the first floor, and is left served. Service very good, and definitely value for money. My wife and I always visit when in Garstang, and are never disappointed.

I bought my lottery tickets at booths and then went to the coffee machine for a coffee and put the lottery tickets down to get my coffee and forgot to pick my tickets up.The next morning the 28th of may 2017 I went to booths to ask if anyone had handed them in not thinking for one minute that there was any honesty or even the hope of getting them back.but to my amazement someone had handed it in and it was put into the loat property thank you so very much for your honesty

Cleveleys has been a favorite day out location for myself and my wife since the Covid lockdown ended in 2020. With overseas holidays severely restricted we just jumped in the car and headed to the coast and Cleveleys was on the list. 6 miles from Blackpool it does not appear to be swamped with tourists but has fantastic beaches and relatively new promenade which is brilliant for walking, cycling, great for kids on bikes & scooters etc. You can walk to Blackpool in about 2 hrs and also to Fleetwood same distance with excellent promenades to both destinations, both excellent walks and trams available to bring you back to Cleveleys. Cleveleys itself is a busy town with plenty of eating places, pubs & bars, cheap & mid range with tourist shops, M&S express etc this is not a stylish place with great nightlife and high end bars etc but it is a great old style seaside town, great for young kids who want sand, sea, plenty of open spaces for games and chips!. There are plenty of cheap places to eat, plenty of takeaways, try Bean's Bakery for pies, cakes etc brilliant old fashioned tasty foods!. Overall, Cleveleys is a great place for a day trip or holidays for young families not wanting the noise & cost of Blackpool, its close enough to visit if you want. Love it!!!

Don't bother coming to this Cafe. The service was poor and food was poor. We visited the Cafe after a walk on the beach but was met with dirty tables that had not been cleaned, staff stood around talking in little groups. I had to ask for the table to be cleared and cleaned. Ordered a small breakfast and a double egg on brown toast. + 3 sausages for our dogs. Sausages was overcooked, like they were underneath a lamp to keep them warm, toast was toasted too much it crumbled away and was a bit burnt. The eggs was also like being left under a lamp due to staff not paying attention. when aske to order ice cream we were met with a sour face from more than 3 staff who was just standing around taking. Staff were young and didn't seem like they wanted to work there. It's a shame for the cafe because it's in a very good place but we will definitely not go back.

We were regulars until Covid , we were delighted with the food, staff and venue service a little slow but it was well worth the wait. It was “bike night” and the atmosphere was great . Defo going back 😊

Whilst this is "just" a Joseph Holt pub its an especially nice one. Inside it is well presented. Outside it has some "beach huts" with TVs built in. The food is very well made and tasty. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We ordered some kids meals and when it arrived my youngest daughter suddenly decided she didn't want the mash that she ordered and wanted chips. The waitress said she would bring chips at no extra charge! There was other examples too like offering to take a family picture of us on my phone when they saw us taking a selfie. I would definitely recommend this place to families looking for a pub meal.
