The best restaurants serving British food in North West

This is one of the best restaurants we have visited. The personnel can’t do enough for you especially Pan and Angie. We have been here 3 months in a row and each time Pam and Angie have been superb ambassadors for the hotel

We tried to visit but it was chaos. Large number of staff and not many tables were taken, but the staff were either running around or standing at the tills. We were told multiple times we'd be seated or have our order taken, but no one came. The outdoor pizza place couldn't take any orders either. It didn't seem like there was any organisation. I wouldn't reccomend going to Blakemere for food. We had to leave.

Don't bother coming to this Cafe. The service was poor and food was poor. We visited the Cafe after a walk on the beach but was met with dirty tables that had not been cleaned, staff stood around talking in little groups. I had to ask for the table to be cleared and cleaned. Ordered a small breakfast and a double egg on brown toast. + 3 sausages for our dogs. Sausages was overcooked, like they were underneath a lamp to keep them warm, toast was toasted too much it crumbled away and was a bit burnt. The eggs was also like being left under a lamp due to staff not paying attention. when aske to order ice cream we were met with a sour face from more than 3 staff who was just standing around taking. Staff were young and didn't seem like they wanted to work there. It's a shame for the cafe because it's in a very good place but we will definitely not go back.

I’ve been going to home on and off for 12 years. I found it had gone down hill a couple of years ago so went less. We decided to give it another go recently and were not disappointed. Things have improved dramatically. The portion sizes are better and the quality of food much improved. Well done to the new management x

So, booked this place months ago for afternoon tea. Really looking forward to it. 2 x vegan advertised as vegan afternoon cream tea. On arrival our table was set with a dairy free menu that had meat - and told this is what is on our afternoon tea. Has to approach staff fo inform them that we are vegan and not dairy free. They apologsied and changed the menu for us. Then we for brought pots of cream made from dairy. Again had to offer these back to the staff. The plates came out - wow I have never experienced such dire vegan food choices since becoming vegan 20 years ago. 4 finger sandwiches of which 2 were carrot on bread. I was literally given veg on bread. Then adding insult, no cream came to the table. I Walked to the front desk to queery why no cream is served - all blank faces looked at me and then the lady behind the kitchen decided to rudely comment with a shrug and say ‘there’s your answer , I don’t know ‘ just wow. I haven’t been as appalled as this for a long time to be spoken to like that. Cream tea with no cream. I explained you can buy dairy free squirt cream, pouring cream and it is simple to make your own. But the attitude of this lady was appalling. Scones not eaten by my husband as he cannot eat dry scones. Upon exit I asked to speak to whom ever was in charge. A lovely apologetic supervisor spoken to me. I articulated how I feel it has been very unfair to charge the same price for a vegan afternoon tea - we were minus the cream and had zero alternatives given to us like vegan turkey etc. I honestly felt like it was the year 2000. Vegan food is in abundance now- there really is no excuse to omit items or put veg on bread. The lady said the manager would phone me to discuss , of course a week on I am still waiting for the phone call …

In the top 5o f the worst spoons. in the UK and iv been to a lot. Cramped dirty place people jammed in at the tables,tables full of plates,glasses etc had to move them to sit down,gave up. Moved to a little room near the bar stunk of dope. People doing deals ,final straw went to the gents 1 inch of water on the floor reported it to a bar person who shrugs their shoulders.. Beer cheap as usual but one to avoid.

Entramos y era difícil encontrar una mesa que no estuviera llena de vasos sucios o platos sucios con restos de comidas. Mujer tras la reja no era acogedor. Si vas a servir comida, limpia las mesas. Parecía asqueroso. Fui a almorzar con mi marido. Comí panini de queso y jamón con patatas fritas. Patatas fritas no cocidas en el medio y pagando solo caliente. No iré de nuevo.

We attended the festival of transport in Audlem and called in for breakfast at the Bridge Inn. The food was excellent, big portions and very good value with coffee or tea refills. The staff were very attentive and friendly and we will definitely go back again when we are in the area.

Frío en el café y acústicamente desafiante este gris día de noviembre. Todas las superficies duras y no es un placer estar en. Hay una zona más suave a la vuelta de la esquina junto a la tienda, pero no hay mesas libres hoy, hermosa taza de té / café. ¡La mesa de compensación de chicas obviamente había alcanzado su nivel de tolerancia para el día! El dueño del café debe visitar la galería de arte de York que ha tenido un cambio de imagen encantador.

Nando's is one restaurant that my whole family (3 kids) enjoy and that we all agree on when deciding to go out for a family meal. My kids should basically promote Nando's because we eat there so often and they love the perinaise especially. Nando's...

Waste of time,, sort your website out. Went for a meal asked for a menu and was told "we don't do food anymore" So why advertise it !!!!

A really disappointing experience. My friend and I had a wonderful concert booked and wanted to get a nice dinner afterwards but in hindsight, I regretted booking this restaurant. Although the restaurant looks good, the food was really underwhelming. I ordered the Katsu chicken curry and chicken had no salt. I had to try and salt it to make it better. Even after that, it was still underwhelming and definitely needs more seasoning. My friend ordered the two types of sushi and left most of it on her plate. We thought about packing the food for her partner to have later but then we were informed they had a no take away policy which is wild in this day and age. The only thing we enjoyed was the popcorn halloumi but for the amount we spent, we truly felt there was very little value for money.

Absolutely love coming here food staff are lovely except for one. Rolled her eyes when asking about a meal I couldn’t think of but had no meat in it. Eventually another staff member who’s lovely knew what I meant. She was irritated as it took a while. Food came to wrong table but did tell her the number. She said beef pie but it was chicken that came. Love chicken or beef and I’m not bothered what I have but because of her attitude I’m moaning. Love sat bury and would always give five stars but she spoiled it

Very nice evening spent at Nandos in the town centre. The staff were all very attentive. The food was really good and presented well. The place looks great and really clean. We will definitely be back soon.
