Quite simply the best pie and mash I’ve ever tasted , the crust , the gravy the twice cooked chips, I’m coming back every week if you get a pie this good , I really can’t recommend the food here high enough and the staff and service is 5 star too, first time I’ve been here and will be definitely be back ( I’m gonna get so fat but it’s worth it ) 👍

As a pie fanatic, I had to take the opportunity to visit whilst taking son to Ferry. Was so happy I did. Two of us had the Steak, Stilton and Port Gravy pie, with Hand Cut Chips and Mushy Peas. Phenomenal pie. Jam packed with beautifully cooked Steak, nice flavour from the cheese, and the gravy was superb. Very good chips and mushies as well. Son had the Cajun Chicken Burger, and really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff, decent music (not too loud) and nice atmosphere in a busy pub. Will have to come back to sample the other, equally delicious sounding, pies on the menu.

Lovely little cafe serving all sorts. Very clean and the staff very friendly. Lots of little items you can buy for your pooch. The only downside for me was the cost. Ridiculously expensive. £7.50 for a lorne sausage stottie. I would have expected more than 1 slice.

My wife and I were travelling back down south, and as we always do whilst making this journey, we stopped off in Berwick-upon-Tweed to visit this café. There are many reasons for doing this; friendly staff, tasty food, welcoming atmosphere, immaculate café and pocket friendly prices, and this time was no exception. We couldn’t recommend this café enough, and it will always be one of our favourite places to have a meal on our long journey back home.

I visit Hartlepool from London several times a year and always make a beeline for this lovely cafe. The staff are friendly and the coffee is delicious - they know how to make a decent espresso which isn't a given in many cafes. I recommend the gorgeous vegan chocolate sponge pudding - ask them to heat it up. Goes nicely with coffee. Thankyou to all the staff.

My wife and I visited the Hare and Hounds today after pre booking, which seems essential. We were not disappointed. It was the Best Sunday Roast we have had for years. Freshly cooked vegetables and a choice of beef lamb or pork very good portions of meat served to you then put your own veg and trimmings. All with the best gravy. Friendly staff and bee from onsite brewery. Strongly Recommend.

It says temporarily closed Philip so you need to change this. My favourite restaurant in Middlesbrough. The food is amazing as is the wine and very good value for money. The place itself is gorgeous with a beautiful bar area where you can enjoy a drink and a gorgeous restaurant. The building is amazing and has been sympathetically restored. Friends have also used main room for functions . I have notified the owner that says closed as it is not. Really worth a visit and if driving you can park in wood street car park which is cheap, well lit with CCTV, then walk through station to front entrance which takes you to Zetland. Make sure you visit you won’t be disappointed
