Having visited here on numerous occasions when in Northumberland we have normally been very impressed with both the service and the product. However, the price for what is advertised as 2 scoops of £4.50 was far too high for the meagre amount served. Barely 2 bites of one flavour and about 4 of the other. The ice cream did not go above the top of the small cup. This is far from the ice cream parlour it used to be - stingy and over priced - I doubt we will bother making the effort to return.

Stopped off on the way back from Seahouses for the best ice cream in Northumberland. My rum and raisin was sublime and the kids mint choc chip was amazing. Timed it just right as there was no queue when we arrived and five minutes later it was out of the door. I can’t recommend enough.

Saw on their website it says “ Well-behaved four legged friends are welcome at the parlour on a lead.” So we went out on a rainy afternoon with our dog for ice cream. We went into the parlour and ordered, including a dog ice cream, after we had ordered and paid the lady then said dogs were only allowed inside for ordering then had to go outside. This was very disappointing as it meant we then had to go and eat in the car, as no covered area outside, not quite the experience we wanted. It should state this on the website or at least on a sign on the door, worst case before you order. Seemed like they wanted your business and then tell you, you can’t actually stay inside and eat there. Ice cream was nice but the experience overall wasn’t.

If you are looking for a wide variety of home made quality ice creams then there is only one place to go in Northumberland and that is Morwick Farm. There is at least 20 varieties of ice creams which are regularly changed to give even more choice. If you are having a function where you nwould like to provide some ice cream then arrangements can easily be made to have it supplied.

We stopped off to try some delicious ice cream as a treat. As well as the traditional flavours you would expect, there was an interesting selection of other flavours such as Turkish Delight, Black cherry, Tiramisu, Snickers and Pecan and maple. Service was efficient and the ice cream was to die for. Luckily, our holiday cottage had a freezer, so we were able to buy some ice cream in tubs to eat at our leisure. Not cheap, but well worth the money!

I love Morwick but so disappointed by our recent visit that the option of having two flavours in one scoop serving has stopped (apparently due to contamination - not sure why that’s a issue as you can still have a double scoop and two flavours). The ice cream’s still fab though but perhaps won’t be visiting quite as often.

A good selection of various flavours. No frills, on the farm ice cream parlour. Nice ice cream, we've had better and we've had worse. Covid restrictions of 1 family in and 1 out so a huge long queue builds up. Open 12 until 5, so I would imagine it's busy all the time. Maybe a suggestion of a small shed kiosk in the garden would ease the waiting?

I honestly think they are hoping to pick up a few ice cream sales on the back of "well we've come all this way".Needless to say i wont be making an effort to visit again.

I have a nut allergy and unfortunately I can’t comment on the taste of the ice cream as I dare not purchase any seems as at least one ice cream had been contaminated by another nutty ice cream. I think it is very worrying that the member of staff I spoke to about this didn’t seem to think there was an issue. If I hadn’t noticed the chunk of hazelnut ice cream in the lemon meringue ice cream before purchasing I would have been in severe trouble. When I asked the member of staff what the brown stuff on the ice cream was, he said it may have come from the hazelnut ice cream, and even when I said I had a nut allergy, didn’t seem to clue in to how dangerous that was! I think the staff need urgent training into how to safely serve ice cream, before someone ends up in hospital or worse

Was once at a country show and had an ice cream from Morwick Farm van .... gorgeous ! Then I googled it and found the actualDairy location and so nearly everytime we take the dog up the coast to either Walkworth or Alnmouth, it’s a necessary stop for sweet refreshment!! The choice is always mouthwatering and the price is not bad at all considering you can pay £5 for two brand name ice creams or lollies in a local shop ! Always fresh and very enjoyable. Could do with a bigger car park in the busy months as it’s also a working farm. There are calves for the littlies to visit round the back of the car park and a little playground area also. I nearly always have the Turkish Delight ice cream - it’s gorgeous and there’s plenty others to chose from. There’s also a little cafe and picnic tables outside. I think it’s closed during winter months which makes sense. Well worth a trip!!

Visited today with 4 grandchildren, 3 of who had a great time in the playground (4th still too small!) and enjoyed seeing the cows. The ice cream was nice, I wasn’t blown away but it was very nice. Only issue we had was the weather :( a showery day and once the ice creams were all bought the heavens opened. Trying to get 3 children, 4 adults and a baby into the car quickly wasn’t an option so we piled into the very crowded parlour. As it was essentially a warm day, a covered area would have been great to shelter from the rain, and even dare I say it the sun sometimes?? So probably I would only return as a family if the weather was very stable and dry.

I often stop off at Morwick dairy when out on for a bike ride, somehow feeing that I have earned the calories. On a sunny day there is nothing better than sitting in their garden and enjoying a delicious ice cream. Plenty of choice of flavours and pleasant young staff, presumably local students earning some extra money. The chocolate and hazelnut flavours are my favourites.

It’s just great ice cream. Real proper ice cream. Just what the doctor ordered, and I need it on prescription now!

We were in the area arriving to our holiday cottage 90 minutes early....I remembered googling milk farms....and knew this place sold raw milk. Whenever we go on holiday, we look for farms selling their milk as we obtain milk at home in Northern Scotland from a local milk farm's vending machine.

Love coming to Morwick for the ice cream and especially the cows. Whenever friends come to visit we always love to take them come to show it off. The ice cream is the best I’ve ever had. I think they did a lemon meringue at one time but haven’t seen it again? Hopefully it will be back again soon

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.

We visited Hexham yesterday and found this café in the Market Place, after a lovely River Tyne walk. It was quite busy at 1pm but we didn't have to wait long for our table. The girls made us feel very welcome and worked so hard while we were there clearing tables and getting everyone seated as soon as possible. My husband had a bacon sarnie and I had a ham and mushroom omelette which was so light and fluffy, delicious. Coffees were great too. Plenty of choice on the menu and great prices. Doggy friendly too with a treat for pooch 🐾

What a welcoming, hospitable place. If you ever need cheering up, this is the place to go. We were made welcome immediately, and tony the owner had us in stiches from the start. Everyone there were so friendly, and what had started as an intended short visit, led to us staying to closing. Met some brilliant characters, who all just made our day. Dog friendly too, which was an added bonus to us. Can't recommend enough.
