Outstanding food! This really is one of the best restaurants we have eaten in. Delicious vegan food, good portions and good value fore money. The staff we very helpful and efficient. We will certainly be back!

Having visited a few Mr Foggs, my wife and two friends visited the Gin Parlour recently just before a dinner nearby and I have to say the Gin experience was truly brilliant. Another unique and quirky experience which we all thoroughly enjoyed. If you haven’t been you should do but book in advance.

I recently enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea experience with my friend, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a beautifully decorated setting that immediately set the tone for a delightful afternoon.

Well, we were here today for a Mothers Day lunch. We’d been a couple of years ago and it’s been decorated since then. It looks much better. We looked at some of the meals been served nearby and they all looked decidedly underwhelming and a bit “ greasy spoon cafe”. So, undeterred we thought we’d play it safe. We just ordered mains. One daughter had the mussels and my wife, myself and our other daughter had the roast chicken. The chicken was really nice but the vegetables were overdone, the Yorkshire pudding was a limp sponge and my roast potatoes looked like boiled ones. Having said all that I did polish everything off and it was quite tasty. Jess said her mussel sauce was a bit bland and the portion was small for a main course. As for the positives: the wine was good, my gluten free beers were great, our cocktails (quite a few of them) were very good and so was my coffee. But everything took an age to come out of the kitchen and one of the blokes bringing it out looked like he’d been sleeping in a duvet in the nearest bus shelter. Our waiter, the only English chap, was excellent but he had to keep apologising for the slow service. For Richmond, the prices were not bad and we actually had a very nice time - but then we are a family that gets on and pretty much always have a good time when we are out. In essence, it’s a good place in some ways but a gastro pub it is not.

the service and quality were up to their usual good standard but yet again we were caught out by insistence that we pay in cash . Come on guys its time to get with it and offer contactless payment. When you do I will suggest our party of friends returns . Now looking for an alternative

We held our daughters baby shower in the garden, the setting was lovely, the staff were absolutely fab, very attentive and provided excellent customer service. And the food was delicious, enjoyed by everyone. And I have to say compliments to the chef, I had the best nut roast ever! I would highly recommend a visit! Thank you to everyone at the The Lord Nelson for making our celebration special. 👍

Stayed a few nights. Rooms are tired and outdated! Tv didn’t work due to terrible reception. Not a warm and fuzzy place! Okay at a pinch if you can’t find anything else! No one to talk to if you need anything!! Access to room awkward with suitcases!! Definitely wouldn’t recommend this Hotel

We visited The Escoffier Rooms at the beginning of October on the Germany theme week with some friends who we'd been trying to take for a year or so. As part of the Westminster Kingsway College, the food is cooked by the third year students and served by the students (second year at the time of our visit). We knew this in advance as our son trained here a few years ago, and we recommend it to everyone whenever they are planning a trip to London, providing of course that it’s during term-time. The six-course tasting menu was £45pp and wine pairing was an additional £45pp. Two our party enjoyed the wine pairing, sometimes the wine was a little late arriving at the table, but again, the students are in training. We’d eaten in the Brasserie restaurant previously, and thoroughly enjoyed, but wanted to experience The Escoffier Room – it did not disappoint. The food was beautifully presented and tasted divine. Yes, the service was a little chaotic at times, but the students are learning and are eager to get it right. The supervision from the teaching staff was discreet and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend The Vincent Rooms – both The Escoffier Restaurant and the Brasserie. We will definitely be coming again.
