Best steak in London. I always go for the Goodman Ribeye, strongly recommending it. Personnel always attentive and nice. Great atmosphere!

Wow wow wow, what am amazing experience. Dinner was exceptional!! The staff were attentive and full of knowledge. Mat our watier (from Hungary) was fantastic friendly and added to our fabulous evening. The food was sensational. I couldn't recommend this place enough and look forward to another visit in the future. Definitely a evening to remember.

Probably the best steak in Canary Wharf area 🙌🌟 This restaurant has a special place in my heart, back in 2018 after my graduation ceremony, I took my family here for dinner, and I still remember everything like it was yesterday, the feeling of the restaurant hasn’t changed but better. Now it is just me, my mother, and my younger brother here, on the way in we start talking about where we were sitting last time we were here. This has nothing to do with the food or anything, I just want to remind myself when I see this post in the next 10 years to remember a good time.

The Sunday roast at Goodmans Canary Wharf is an absolute must. If you’re looking for roast that is authentic, traditional, amazing quality and great value for money than this is your place! We had the rib roast for two which definitely was more than enough as it included sides- the cauliflower cheese with truffle is absolutely divine. The meat was also cooked to perfection and literally melts in your mouth. Goodmans also has an amazing selection of cocktails. Would definitely say to treat yourself to one whilst enjoying the roast overall and amazing experience staff super friendly and very helpful when helping you to decide what to eat on the menu. Absolute perfection would definitely come back.

One of the few restaurants in the UK where the service is truly spectacular. I LOVE that the waiter sat down and explained all the cuts of meat to us was 10/10!!! Steaks were insane too but the service is why I come out. Will defo be back again.

We had a delightful dinner with the loveliest waitress. We felt very welcome and accommodated. Our steaks were all cooked slightly different than the requested temperatures, but in fairness, we did not ask to have them corrected. The meal had great flavor. The truffle Mac and Cheese and the Cookie Sundae were huge hits with our party of six. Overall, a great dinner!

We have been to this chain for a few times now and it never disappoints. The food was generally excellent and the service was exemplary, especially since we had a phone call on the morning about the branch we booked was shut due to an incident and they reimbursed the cab fares to get to this branch. The only downside was the Spanish steaks were way too tough.

Great dishes and service, a bit pricey but worth it. Chiken was perfectly cooked, same for steaks, side dishes and entrees are tasty, nice atmosphere and the employees really know what they are talking about

Coming from abroad to celebrate birthday hoping to have a wonderful dinner and experience turned to a whole weekend nightmare. After having oysters and steak that night at Goodmans Canary Warf, my partner was awakened in the early morning by violent vomiting. Later on, during the day developed high fever and other stomach issues that lasted for several days. This was reported to the restaurant management without proper response from their side. We requested for a health inspection report which was provided and note few findings and issues identified at the restaurant, inspection date was March 2024. Clearly hygiene issues are identified and the way how the food was stored. Also report mentions that mouse droppings were found in the preparation kitchen as well the fact that oysters were stored in the same place together with raw meat. Corrective measures were ordered. Report does not provide information if corrective measures took place. Just by reading the publicly available report it becomes obvious what could cause the issues we experienced. It is for a reader of this review to decide if this Restuarant is a place to visit or eat in it. I certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

I prefer Goodman over blacklog simple because their steaks are better and they have seafood options. Really liked every single one of their dishes. Even though they could have been slightly more generous on the tartar. Another minus point is that when I first asked for a Chimichurri the waiter said they don’t have it. When I asked an other waiter she brought it for me.

Fabulous food and wine, but what made it extra special was Mandy who is a delight! Our second visit in as many months and Mandy remembered us. We had perfectly cooked porterhouse, mash and broccoli- washed down with a lovely bottle of carmenere … it’s making my mouth water writing this review ;-)

The food is still great! However, instead of a nice view of the canal, there is now a view of a dumpster boat parked in front of the restaurant.

Food quality has gone down a little in my view. Went there to try Sunday roast but the service is great and still a chilled place to hang out.

The steak melted in my mouth and the garlic and chilly spinach was out of this world the food was perfection and the staff were really accommodating we arrived very late and the still managed to fit us in and the staff have so much knowledge of the menu my hats off to you madams and sirs

The most tender sirloin steak I have ever eaten- however it just needed more flavour. They have a small selection of halal steaks, great for a dinner date. Service was great, staff were friendly and hospitable.

We are meat lovers and like to try everywhere, we loved this place, firstly, the impeccable service from Nuno, he was really very kind, very attentive, very pleasant. The meat was delicious and very well served, the fries were also good. And the dessert, incredible, I am often disappointed in meat restaurants in which there is little dessert choices, but the extra white chocolate crème brulée is the cherry on the cake! The place is really nice, especially in Canary Wharf, and you've got some big meat pieces you can even see, beautiful. Thanks again Nuno for making this experience even better! We went for a last-minute anniversary dinner at a nearby restaurant that offers halal options. While the halal selection was limited, there was still something to enjoy. I wish they had more choices. The staff were fantastic, very professional and helpful from the moment we entered until we finished our meal. Our server, an attentive and friendly Asian lady, made our experience even better. We ordered steaks and sides, and the food was delicious and cooked perfectly as we requested. A little tip: they might want to ask customers about their seasoning preferences, as the steaks were a bit heavily seasoned. The highlight of our evening was when we were surprised with a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary—such a thoughtful gesture from the restaurant! We had a great experience and will definitely be back next time.

Epic rib roast for two, and the truffle cauliflower cheese is delicious on the side. Service is great, they even offered to further cook my portion as I’m pregnant and the recommended serving is medium. Would like to come back and try their a la carte menu too.

We have ordered steak (forgot the name, as per advice of the waiter, he was Italian, the waiter, not the steak). We also ordered salads as side dishes plus carrots and spinach. Everything was super delicious. Service was amazing 👏. Definitely recommended!

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and friendly service. However, I was disappointed with my handcut Australian steak. I had requested it to be cooked medium-rare, but it was overcooked (nearly well-done). Worse, the steak was quite oily, which was strange considering the cut. While the ambiance was pleasant, the execution on the main course missed the mark.

We were really catered to well, well interacted with and made to laugh. Food was delicious and filling. We weren’t rushed to leave even as they were preparing to close. Will definitely be back

Excellent restaurant, best roast beef ever. Extensive steak menu which is explained in detail about cut, age and country of origin. Staff very informative and attentive. Glasses were never empty, topped up as soon as they were low. Portions so big I needed a doggy bag.

If I could give Goodman's a 10-star rating, I absolutely would. My husband and I ran the London Marathon on April 21, 2024. We always have steak and potatoes before every big race (great race fuel). Goodman's was very conveniently located, took us in without a reservation (our fault, but we went at about 4pm hoping to be allowed in without a reservation) and had a great time! The wait staff was amazing! The staff member with the really cool sleeve tattoos was very informative and made great recommendations while still being very cautious about my mushroom food allergies. The Scottish filet was absolutely perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked, and absolutely melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes were probably the best I have ever had. My husband demolished the burger (I don't think I have ever had such a quiet meal with him, he was just too busy chowing down on the burger). I wish we'd had space for dessert because it looked amazing, but the steak was just too good to not eat every single bite. Needless to say; the next time we run the London Marathon, Goodman's will be our choice for our pre-race dinner (and likely several other meals).

It's a very interesting experience. While in other steakhouses I'd be pointed to a blackboard when asked about butcher cuts, here the waiter brought a blackboard to our table, and literally sat down with us for five minutes explaining different breeds of cattle they stock. Value for money for Sunday roast was amazing. The Prime rib cut was delicious, and I'm comparing this to other similarly priced steakhouses I've been to in the area. And their chocolate cake is amazing as well.

Good quality steaks and professional service. Fabulous wine list. This is a top end steak restaurant where the quality of the meat is paramount to the experience, and the prices reflect that. This wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good enough. The wine list is excellent. If you can’t find one to suit… look again or ask the sommelier who is super helpful and not condescending.

First experience at Goodman, wanted to especially call out the exceptional service provided by Eaco who took care of us throughout the evening, explained everything in detail (the different cuts, the aging process, differences between each country's steaks) and with passion, whilst never upselling anything to us. The food itself was great and decent value. Dry-aged rib eye on the bone was flavourful with slightly crisped skin, and definitely have to call out the amazing Berry Crème Brûlée special that wrapped up our evening!!

It was a horribly wet Sunday, and we were very lucky to get a table in the non-reserved section of the restaurant, especially since it was Mother’s Day. We had a lovely and perfectly cooked ribeye steak with the Rioja Reserva. it was amazing that the place is dog friendly, and Livvy agreed that the stake was excellent!

Friendly staff but understaffed. The food has been great and the vibe was rather fair and chill.

Nice BBQ boneless ribs starters that we shared. 100g each was fine. The BBQ sauce very strong flavour. The lunch menu steak was a nice sirloin. Stilton sauce was quite subtle. This was followed by an excellent white chocolate creme brulée. First visit to Goodman. Would return to get other cuts of steak. Friendly service.

Not a huge fan. Steak was very fatty and too buttery for me. Also slightly overcooked, why not just use a meat temp? Very expensive too. Mac n cheese and scallops also not great.

GREAT FOOD, especially if you like your beef. Huge variety of beef selection and Sundsy roast is heavenly....no cheap, but worth it.

Well, very disappointed they have stopped serving lobster. Starters were scallops which were so good, my bluefin tuna tartare was bland. We both opted for the ribeye which was perfectly cooked, but really think a surf & turf should be on the menu. Truffle and Parmesan chips were great. Didn’t have dessert so can’t comment. So… above dinner for 2 with a £40 bottle of wine and a beer, over £300!!

Amazing place to eat a delicious meat

This place is absolutely incredible, the perfect dining experience. The food was out of this world. Went with two friends, two of us had the pleasure of having A5 wagyu for the first time, and there are not words to describe how good it was. The staff were amazing especially Martijn who was knowledgable, attentive and an all round great guy, made the evening so much better! I could not recommend Goodman highly enough. If you want a steak, this is the place to come. Thank you to all at Goodman.

Had a fantastic dinner here on 5th Jan, 2024. Alex the waiter was just fantastic and helped on anything and everything he could, nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent, we had Australian Ribeye cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The sides, chips, mash, roast onions, were all excellent as well. One of the best and highly recommended, better than Maddox Street Goodman in our view.

We visited Goodman for our New Year’s Eve meal and were left very disappointed with the food we received. I understand we may have been the last sitting for the kitchen, as we booked for 9pm, however we still expected to receive great food regardless. We wanted to order the porterhouse, however after being told it was sold out, we ordered 2 sirloins both medium rare. When they arrived, the fat was not rendered and the steak barely looked seared with an anaemic colouring. For the money we spent on them both, we believe this was not worth the money and didn’t live up to the advertisement of the restaurant.

Had a delicious Sunday roast here. We shared the Rib Roast for Two which costs about £80 for two people to share. The quality of the food was really good however due to the price, I'd recommend it for special occasions as it's well above what most can expect to pay for a typical Sunday Roast. That said, the service was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and attentive. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Canary Wharf.

Been to a few Goodman before and this is by far the best experiences we had, and so we returned for the second time! There is a very good relationship between the staffs, some bantering with each other (sometimes they would get the customers involved so it was fun for us). They have excellent knowledge on steak and happy to share them with the customers. Drinks are really good, steak was done excellently, sides are amazing, make sure you have plenty of space in your belly! I can't wait to go back for the 3rd time and many times after.

Great birthday dinner here. Would recommend over the Mayfair site. Service was fantastic as usual and food was great. Really the enjoyed the sit down bar service too!

My waiter was incredibly nice to me! With a joy to his smile, the steak was juicy, with the pepper sauce and the best halal steak ive ever had, michael was a great waiter aswell. I recommend going to this place.

We had lunch at Goodman restaurant. The server strongly suggested the prawn tempura, and we decided to try it along with the bluefin tuna tartare. The shrimp tempura here is more like deep-fried shrimp, which is different from the traditional Japanese version I'm used to. I highly recommend the bluefin tuna tartare, it's absolutely delightful! For the steaks, we enjoyed a 900-gram US ribeye and a 250-gram Scottish fillet; both were good. I also love the spiced carrots here. they're absolutely amazing too.

I’ve had a steak here once and didn’t enjoy it very much… but their Sunday roast was exceptional! We visited a few months ago and I loved it. I returned again at the weekend to see if they just got lucky once, but no…. It was amazing! I had the roast beef, my partner had the chicken. It both tasted amazing! I put a picture on Instagram and was hounded by people asking where it was! So delicious and throughly recommend for a Sunday lunch!!!

I don’t understand how someone could put a bad review here! The food was fantastic ordered the bluefin tartar, sirloin steak, triple cooked chips and Mac and cheese which was outstanding. They even brought us two bowls of bread on the house. And for my birthday a dessert on the house. The total came to £100 for both. The waiter was lovely and helpful he explained to us the story of the restaurant etc Would definitely recommend. Note to the restaurant: I see you are able to pre-order halal meat, you could try including Kosher as well.
