The old fire station in Tower Hamlets

We had diner twice at The Old Fire Station. Today and yesterday and we loved it! The food is excellent and the service great. Fede and Ibo were very helpful and friendly! After yesterday my daughter insisted in eating her again on our last day of our mother and daughter trip to London. If we will visit London again in the future we will certainly come back to this place!

Little hidden gem in Canary Wharf! Amazing unique restaurant with good food and decent prices. From the menu it sounded like a Turkish cuisine but had many options for everyone's taste. So shouldn't be a problem to anyone. I found my ordered lamb maybe too sweet but it does say yogurt and cherry source. So sweetness should be expected. Chicken stew was really good , I liked the source a lot (make sure to ask for spicy source on the side). The only thing which they could improve is cocktails. Mine was way too sweet (too much syrup) basically. And another one was way too bitter.. But overall would recommend for everyone to visit!

The food is so delicious and what a lovely service. My friend lives nearby and every time I visit her, I have lunch at the Old Millwall Fire Station. The decor is beautiful too.

Really nice visit here for lunch. People coming and going throughout the time I was there. Mirayah was lovely and friendly and the owner even popped out chatting to people and myself. The food was amazing everyone enjoyed themselves.10 of attended for a friend's birthday! So accommodating and quick response with requests and emails. Even came forward with an error and compensated for this. Could not recommend enough! We will be returning. Great atmosphere too.

Very Disappointing! Payed £25 For Set Menu, Service took Forever and Mains came out without Salad, Chicken Shish very Dry and bland and I drowned my food in sauce to eat it. Dessert was a small dollop of Vanilla ice cream and baklava, Portion size was very small, compared to other Turkish Restaurants! Manager is very rude, who had an issue with Why you don’t want to pay Service charge on top of the Bill. Payed £28.12 Food and service charge + £3.85 soft Drinks. Last time I’ll be visiting here!!

We went here for lunch, feeling freezing on a cold day and were so pleased! The breakfasts were generous, well presented and eggs cooked just right. We had a pudding of deep fried ice-cream, ice-cream inside a christmassy crust. Never seen it before and again, delicious. Definitely worth a visit 👍

Absolutely fantastic meal and experience with great service and lovely food. My wife said the lamb chops were the best she has ever tasted. It was also a lovely gesture to bring out a small birthday treat for my daughter and topped a truly memorable night.

My regular place to come for lunch, dinner and evening drinks. The owner and staff are lovely people, very helpful and willing to make sure you have a good experience. The food is delicious and the cocktails are top draw, compliments to the kitchen and bar staff.

We went to mudchute farm and the cafe was close but it was a good thing as we looked around and found this amazing place. The foods were 10/10 and the atmosphere was lovely, feeling like going back to your hometown with your lovely friendly place where everyone would know each other. Highly recommend!

Have visited this place a few times now, which for me is a sign in itself. Food is very tasty, I dream about their chicken casserole and recently had the T-bone steak which was seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. Staff are 5 star as well. Food to price comparison is spot on.

The restaurant is situated at the old Millwall fire station. It is very cute and atmospheric. We came here on a Sunday for brunch. We arrived around noon. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and it got busier and busier. The price here is quite affordable and the portion it’s also good, more than other breakfast place. The full English bacon 🥓 here uses American style. It’s crispy. We also ordered seafood pasta. It is not bad not amazing. Eggs Bénédict is alright, the egg yolk is not liquid. The seafood pasta could have been a bit more flavorful. The seating area is spacious and the service is good.

Slightly uncomfortable writing this review as it’s a local business but it was very quiet and I suspect the locals aren’t frequenting due to the food. Positives: Efficient, friendly staff. Characterful surroundings Negatives: Halloumi starter was swimming in balsamic glaze dressing, so much so, that I could barely taste the grilled cheese. Main course was similar. Awash with oil and really detracted from the appearance and taste. I left half of it as it was not a great taste. I don’t know why they insist on ‘hosing’ the dishes down with gallons of unnecessary dressing and oil. A real pity, maybe I was unlucky as it gets lots of positive reviews but I won’t be back in a hurry.

It is a very charming and friendly neighbourhood eatery. The fact that it is an old fire station adds to the visual appeal. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The cuisine is Turkish so the menu suits a lot of dietary preferences, including vegetarian. A large salad is a very satisfying lunch. So is a bowl of soup and a cold starter. They also gave us another complimentary starter on the house.

Stopped in for lunch here and wasn’t disappointed! I enjoyed the two course, very reasonable at £12.95 with the freshest bread and hummus and a beautifully seasoned chicken Shish kebab with rice and salad. Would not hesitate to come back!

Essen sehr gut, Lachs, Halloumisalat, Hummer, der Grill färbt nur leider geschmacklich auf den Halloumi ab. Suppe des Tages war leider vergriffen.

Went tonight for dinner and was really disappointed at how tacky the place was. They were blasting music so loud it was hard to have a conversation. There was loads of drunk people hanging out outside. The food was quite expensive given the weird vibe and portions were tiny so left hungry.

Very busy. We'd been let down by another local place and came to the Fire Station on the off chance. They were busy but found us a table. Vegan options for me and plenty for everyone else. Happy to se this place busy on a Tuesday evening and thanks to the staff who were obviously rushed off their feet. Service was a bit slower than usual but gave us a starter to keep us going while waiting for our mains. We have eaten here several times and the food ,service and atmosphere are always great.

We called in without a booking on Friday afternoon for a late lunch. First impression was - what a great use of the building and great design. The staff who greeted us were really friendly and service throughout was excellent. Our meal of a shared calamari starter, followed by moussaka (me) and sea bass (my son) was delicious and very good value. This place was a real find!

We happened to visit this restaurant near island gardens DLR station. The old fire station is an amazing place to dine in especially the staff is really friendly and welcoming. When we arrived the kitchen was closed but the lady at the cashier counter told us it will open shortly and therefore we waited as we were hungry and no other pubs or restaurants nearby were open for food . The food was super delicious with a reasonable price .

Too salty. It seems that they spent all their money on the trendy decorations and not on the food.

Great staff and lovely relaxing settings. I had the lamb shank, I found the sauce it came with very,very oily, and the amount of sauce ruined the meal as the roast potatoes were all soggy. I wish I went for the lamb chops as they looked really lovely and my daughter enjoyed them. The 3 stars is only because of the lamb shank. And also nobody never came over to ask if the food is OK as I would of told them about the lamb shank.

My friends and I were visiting from the US and wanted to go somewhere close to the house for breakfast, and our Airbnb host recommended this place. Could not have been more pleased! We had British breakfasts and French toast, as well as Turkish apple tea. The food was delicious, the staff very pleasant, and the atmosphere very cute! Pop in for breakfast and give them a try.

To be in England is sure the top to eat in a traditional pub. We did. But this experience was the same rate. Even better. This food was made as from a mum's kitchen. And a environment of a fire station is really cool. Definitely recommend to eat there.

Absolutely amazing dine in experience! The female staff serving were friendly, quick and respectful going that extra mile which made us feel cared for even though they were very busy. We ordered cauliflower as a starter and fish and mixed kebab for main. I had the fish which was fresh and delicious 😋 my friend had the mixed kebab which was beautifully spiced giving it a unique taste unlike anywhere else I’ve had it and I will definitely be having it the next time I come here. We dined indoors which had an antique feel to it however the outdoor space looked really nice too with the passing red london buses and I plan to come over the summer to dine outside.

5 of us and a baby had dinner and had the best time. Food was really tasty - we tried a variety of starters and mains and each one was different and delicious. The meal was made even better by the friendly staff who made us feel so welcome. Definite thumbs up and would recommend you try it.

A combo of Turkish and British pub food. The kebabs are very nice, and the bread/hummus was really tasty. Staff were lovely and polite. Restaurant is also dog friendly, which is a big plus.

It was fantastic! I went there with my wife and cousin and even though we were not hungry, they didn't mind us sitting for coffee and tea. The atmosphere was friendly and the servers were very attentive and cheerful. When I looked at their menu, I saw that there was a great variety of options. It's a wonderful place where those who love Mediterranean cuisine can have a great time.

Brilliant little restaurant with wonderful staff. We were looking for something light and studying the menu from outside when the owner popped his head around the door. We mentioned we were looking for a sandwich or something similar and he beckoned us in and offered to make us wraps (not on the menu). We ordered chicken wraps and halloumi wrap which we were offered chips or salad with. They were absolutely delicious! Very fresh and flavourful. We asked if they did French coffee but the waitress, Federica, was unsure of how to do this as she was covering for someone else. However she said she would attempt this and made a fabulous brandy coffee. It makes such a difference when the management and staff make such an effort to please. We only wish we lived closer!

Breakfast was a good balance of quality and quantity. Coffee was average. Service: one staff member was rushed off their feet while coffee bar staff were chatting doing nothing. All very courteous though.

I love the interior and the fact that it used to be an actual fire station. Staff is amazing! Portions are kind of small.
