Loved the food but the service is what made our night stand out. Attia was an amazing waitress very attentive and although it was busy she was always there to help. Mattia was very nice as well and the bar manager Johnny in the downstairs bar was very knowledgeable and funny!

We just had dinner from this steakhouse. Regardless of whether the food is good or bad, everyone likes different things. But I must say that the service we’ve got from a female waiter was really poor. I hope the owner of the restaurant will notice her service attitude so as not to cause more complaints and damage the business. By the way, the rest of the service team members are all very professional.

Thank you for the owner make effort to accommodate us for being there without reservation.❤️ But the lady waitperson just ruined the whole dinner. From taking orders to putting the utensils down, she is not only no smile but also making loud noise with the attitude. Hopefully, the manager can notice it.

Went for the Sunday Roast, and the waitress happily explained all the available cuts and trimmings for the meal. Would recommend for Roast!

Sunday roast for £26 was pretty decent. Roasted garlic was a nice addition. Nice food in a cost atmosphere; didn't feel like a Hawksmoor more like a pub vibe but was cosy.

We ate rump & chips off the lunch menu, it came with a simple salad and we paid extra for a pepper sauce. It was divine, the steak was cooked to perfection. Our server Bruno was charming and attentive. You just cant go wrong at Hawksmoor.

First time at Hawksmoor and I was expecting something great. Although the steak was cooked nicely, it was all a bit underwhelming and overpriced. The food was extremely salty, and the portion sizes for side orders are quite small. Also very annoying when the waiter constantly tops your wine glass up every 2 minutes. I don’t think we be returning.

Have been here a couple of times and really had a good experience for the Sunday Roast. Definitely worth trying.

We were walk-ins on a Friday night so knew we might not get a table, but risked it. The front of house was very welcoming, but was unable to find us a table, but could offer us seats at the bar. Service was amazing. Sitting at the bar means you end up interacting with them a little more and they were super friendly and helpful. They gave advice on the menu and what to order, and it was good advice. The food was fantastic. The cocktails were great. All in all, it was a good experience.

I mean you can tell just by looking at the pictures… what great quality food! Staff are attentive. It’s pricey but worth treating yourself.

Great food. Good service. We went at 8.45 on a Saturday and wasn’t any smaller size meats left. So advice get there earlier. Nevertheless good quality meat and food.

Steak filet, Caesar salad, side of mash and gravy. Heavenly. Nice service at the bar and a really cool ambiance in the restaurant.

The food and staff are always first class. Have been a few times now and never been disappointed, as usual all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I have to say it is on the expensive side, but it is very good value for money. All the food we ate was excellent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The meal was absolutely fantastic, as always. The fillet is a bit pricey but that’s expected and in line with the quality you get for your money.

It's a challenge to get attention from the table service. Certain food items were not cooked properly and had a dry consistency. The steak also lacked flavour. The atmosphere was so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. It's unfortunate, they used to be a staple many years ago.

Some of the best meat in town. Coupled with an extensive wine list, superb service, a great buzzy atmosphere, and you're in for a good time. I've come back several times, and every time I leave happy and full. P.s. Great cocktails... have one before and one after to aid digestion 😊

We all (six of us) had a fantastic night, last night. We were looked after so well by Jennifer, honestly, she really was fabulous. My fillet was delicious and the maple bacon yummmmmmmmm. Haven't been for a while, reminded me to not leave it so long. The £5 corkage for a bottle on wine on Mondays is too good not to take advantage of, even if it makes for a long rest of the week at work haha

An amazing experience with top-quality service. Every course was fantastic and with the BYOW on a Monday, it was a brilliant meal. A special shout-out to Jennifer, our waitress for the evening who made my 30th Birthday celebrations very special. She was incredibly attentive and brought a smile to everyone's face. Had a brilliant Mother's Day dinner night out the first time coming here.Food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were all friendly, and we had excellent service here. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant has a large selection of great meat cuts. The prices are rather high, but it's worth it. Our Cheateaubriand was cooked to perfection and had a great grilled aroma. It was buttery and every bite was delicious. Our side dishes were also good. The only thing that bothered us was the noise level in the restaurant, which was unfortunately very loud.

Love Hawksmoor. This was my first visit to the Spitalfields branch. They're all similar in their design aesthetic. Pleasant but nothing exceptional. The food however is excellent, especially if you value quality beef. This time I tried their new beef pudding which was rich, delicious and very filling with a feint aniseed flavour. Served with beef dripping chips and mushy peas, it could have served 2 it was so large! Washed down with a glass of decent rioja. Delish.

I've been a patron at Hawksmoor (Spitalfields) for more than a decade, consistently experiencing impeccable service and delectable dishes, usually deserving a perfect 10/10 rating. However, during my recent visit, I was disappointed by the lackluster service. The staff seemed inattentive, failing to check on us for orders or attend to our needs, making it a struggle to get their attention. While most of the dishes were delightful, surprisingly, the chips were undercooked, a departure from their usual standards.

Great service and consistent delivery H would benefit from a tad more creativity in the kitchen tho

A fabulous meal at Hawksmoor on Sunday. Food beautifully cooked and service was amazing - really attentive without being intrusive. It made for an excellent birthday celebration.

There were 4 of us dining at Hawksmoor Sunday March the 3nd. Our server wasn’t very friendly and could be a little rude. She didn’t explain the menu very well, took our wine away and only refilled once. I had to ask another server to bring the bottle to us. I asked for my steak to be well done, I wasn’t happy when it arrived and had to send it back. I did add the service charge which was a lot for the service we got, I do regret leaving it and would like it to be refunded back. Generally the food was OK. Mary Morrissey.

🩵Best Sunday roast I have in London! The service was friendly, he kindly explained the food to me when I looked confused, and at the end, I ordered Sunday Roast which was not my first choice. I was so impressed with the quality of the Sunday Roast compared to others I’ve tried. The beef was pink but not feel raw at all, tender and juicy. The Yorkshire pudding was soft inside and crispy outside. The veggies were flavoured and warm enough, and the gravy was perfect, tasted a bit red wine(? I am not quite sure about this) The time we went was quite busy so sometimes it took times to get the table service but it was notable that they were trying to serve as quickly as they could.

First time here, usually go to Borough Market restaurant. This was just lovely. The lady at front reception was so welcoming and really warm chatty and lovely, the staff were all just great and can't do enough for you. The lady who served us (blonde lady and very bubbly and smiley) was fab, just enough service and not overkill, but very friendly and helpful with the menu. I will be back, a lot of restaurants forget it's as much about the staff and how they treat the customer as it is about the actual food (which was superb i might add), so really well done for everyone here for being brilliant from start to finish.

I had a super meal here last night meeting up with an old friend. As it was a Monday night I was able to bring my own more than reasonable bottle of red for just £5 corkage. Bothe the ribeye and the sirloin were delicious ams service from: Jose was friendly and professional. It was my first visit to this branch (the original) and it won’t be my last (particularly on a Monday!).

Hawksmoor Spitalfields' Sunday Roast lives up to its reputation. As you're enjoying it, you must gently remind yourself to save room for their sticky toffee pudding - it is divine.

Treated ourselves to dinner for our 25th wedding anniversary on the last Saturday of February. Very disappointed. I ordered the fillet medium rare and it came dry and tough. Waiter came and asked if the food was ok and I told him it wasn't. He left and came back to say chef would cook another one for me in just a couple of minutes. The second one a few minutes later was just as poor - something I did not bother conveying to the waiter. A week earlier I'd eaten in an Argentinian steakhouse in Bluewater (anniversary celebrations lasted a week), where the fillet was just as it should be - true medium rare fillet, mouth-wateringly succulent, flavoursome, moreish. By contrast in the Hawksmoor last night I gave up trying to chew through the lousy fillet. The place's quality has plummeted in the last year or two. The restaurant was very crowded, with as many tables seemingly crammed in as they could possibly fit. I think they are just being greedy by over-stretching themselves, with inevitably poor results. Oh, the staff are very pleasant and attentive, but it's no longer anywhere near worth the price. Shan't be going back.

Used to be awesome. But now...meh. Not special enough for the price. Service wad good. But food was OK (for the price) table was cramped. And it was our 25th wedding anniversary! Last year we went to Goodmans for the 24th - spent more money - and had a better time and food.

Hostess greeted us and was very polite and welcoming. Several was wonderful. Mixed drinks were good. We had north Devon beef filet and sirloin. Both excellent and cooked perfectly. Also had the ribeye. Again excellent and perfectly cooked. Bone marrow gravy and peppercorn sauces were very tasty. Bitter and blue cheese salad was super tasty. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Not really value for money. Struggled to get servers attention for an extra drink, not much help/guidance on the menu from staff. Tables are too close together for my liking.

Came here on a Friday evening with friends whilst on a visit to London. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and shown to our table. All four of us had mains and a dessert. For mains we all had steaks of various cuts - I shared one of the bigger cuts (T-bone) with a friend, others had a large fillet and a rump. All very good. In the title of this review - my steak has only been beaten by the meat we get from our local farm shop, but certainly one of the best in a restaurant. The service was also excellent. The bill can easily get eye watering - my share of the bill was over £121 - we all had steaks, dessert, two bottles of wine and one drink at the bar.

As always Hawksmoor was great. Service and food excellent.

Go for the steak! Cooked to perfection. The bone marrow appetizer was like butter. Extravagant indulgence. Sticky toffee pudding delicious but would have been better with ice cream.

Can’t fault this place, and I’ve been several times. The meat is incredible quality and cooked to perfection. The sides, all perfect. Service friendly and attentive - the waiter even gave my friend a free cocktail to congratulate her on her first day in a new job 😊 The Monday bring your own wine deal is a fantastic offering. I wish I could come here every Monday, what a banging start to the week! Don’t skip the puddings btw!

Loved it here, went for my sons birthday we enjoyed such delicious food and drinks it's a little bit pricey but soooooooo tasty!!! Staff are amazing, service is great, the vibe was on point. Very pleased and would definitely come back and would recommend! They even did a cute little desert for my sons birthday as an added treat really nice touch!

Amazing food and service. We all had fillet steaks which just melted in the mouth and the bone marrow gravy was to die for! Service was amazing. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. Food came out with different servers and they knew who was having what. Couldn’t fault our experience. Thank you.

It's Hawksmoor, you know you're getting great food. I just wanted to point out some excellent service from a waiter called Scotty, made a great evening even better.

Family group for a late Sunday lunch; not cheap but the meal (and the beef in particular) was very good as was the service (from Scottie).

First time visit to Hawksmoor, starters (bone marrow toast) lovely and highlight of the meal, steak pudding very good, fillet steak was highly over seasoned and chips were very disappointing ? Frozen. Pavlova disappointing, watery and lacked flavour. Overall disappointed and unlikely to return.

Hawksmoor always delivers, great food and helpful staff. Would recommend.

food was delicious - taste and quality of ingredients. We are never disappointed! They made us feel extremely welcomed with our toddler, sitting us in a booth. Felt the service wasn't as attentive as normal, it took a while to take our order and topping up / clearing our glasses from the table but it did improve once our food arrived.

Delicious starters, we ordered the Rib-eye for two and it was juicy and tasty. Great vibes and service. Super recommend. We will be back.

I got serious food poisoning straight after couple of hours of having dinner here. I think it was tomato juice from which they made virgin marry, because other people in my table ate same food and the only difference was cocktail. I have been experiencing fewer, diarrhoea and vomiting

I had ribeye, girlfriend had the fillet. Both cooked to perfection. The mac & cheese stood out from the sides, salad, chips & fries, all of which were amazing. The cocktails were delicious. My 1st time at Hawksmoor, will not be my last!!

Great service, great tasting food, waiters and waitresses were prompt and compliments to the chefs.

Steaks were well cooked, but this location felt a bit lack-lustre compared to some of the other Hawksmoor restaurants. The tables are cramped together and there's not much in the way of atmosphere. Fine for a bite to eat, but not great for a special occasion.

We had a very good dinner at Hawksmoor. Meat was perfectly cooked, sides were also very good. Prices aligned to what we were expecting. Only negative side, there was a lot of noise in the area where we were sitting.

We arrived and were seated promptly for our reservation. Right away our group of 3 was a little disappointed that we had missed having Sunday roast by an hour. No big deal - that was our bad. So we asked the waitress for a few minutes to choose other options since our original wasn't available. Two in the party wanted to then order the surf and turf and were then informed that they didn't have lobster. I'm not sure why the waitress didn't inform us of the items on the menu that they were out of upon seating us, but she literally was no help and very sarcastic and acted exasperated to be working. So our table ordered 3-4 appetizers to share and when they came out they were terrible. She checked on us 1x and we immediately left with 85% of the food still on the table.

The food is good but my roast potatoes were cold and I’ve had better Sunday roasts in general in London for less money. I think it may be resting on its laurels.

Potato’s were horrible like frozen out of a bag, Yorkshire was burnt, cocktails were watery.

Very enjoyable experience. We had a number of staff taking interest in us and coming to talk and ensure things were good with us. The steaks were cooked well, full of intrinsic flavour and were well seasoned. Vegetables were fantastically prepared.

Outstanding service: our waiter was Knowledgeable, efficient without being intrusive and really made our dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, explanations clear and our glasses were never empty. Steak was perfectly cooked, creamed spinach never disappoints. Overall delicious.

A very noisy restaurant, lovely staff but ambient noise made conversation at times difficult. Porterhouse steak for 2, plus chips and spinach, 2 starters a shared pudding and 2 glasses of wine was £100 per head. Steak was perfectly cooked, Caesar salad excellent, but a pricey meal
