Service was excellent, and the ambiance was pleasant for a Thursday early evening. However, the food quality was disappointing. The fish and chips were both burned and soggy, and the Thai red curry lacked flavor, offering only a strong chili hit without depth. Overall, the experience fell short of the quality I’ve enjoyed at places like Balans Soho. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending this location.

Awful - waited 20 mins for a table. Then 40 mins for our order to be taken and then food took an hour to come. Wouldn’t recommend this place

Watched a few football matches here - good location and drinks are really well priced. The live music on a weekend is great and always a good crowd.

We had a delicious afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco. There was Plenty of food and the scones were the best ever. The cakes were also yummy. We would definitely go back.

Day out in London, so popped in for a few beers and some lunch. Fantastic food and the staff were so polite and welcoming. Great range of draught beers and with the room in the back set up for live music think it could be a great night out too.

Was working in the office park and popped in for. Drink after work, atmosphere was excellent so had dinner, great burger, the Manager (blonde) was excellent and was clearly focussed on the customers and making sure everyone really enjoyed the evening

Wanted so badly to love this place but it was a total letdown. My friend booked the back room at Gunmaker’s for his 25th birthday and they were the most passive aggressive, ungracious hosts I’ve ever experienced. Just unfriendly, cold energy from the moment we walked in and a total apathy for their patrons. Tacos were mediocre and guacomole was more tomato than avocado. Made it abundantly clear that they didn’t want us there by 10 even though the place didnt close until 11. Take your business somewhere it’ll be appreciated.

En general una buena experiencia. Fuimos a tomar el té de la tarde que estaba bien presentado y sabroso. Sin duda los postres fueron lo más destacado. Pregunta por los condimentos ya que la margarina resultó ser la cuajada de limón. El ambiente era agradable y un poco más en el lado relajado con la decoración tradicional en todo. El servicio podría haber sido mejor. Abrigos no quitados y tuvimos que buscar a alguien para pagar la cuenta.

Visitamos aquí un sábado por la tarde a principios de febrero, un grupo de cinco amigos. Había otra mesa, bastante grande, que estaba terminando, por lo que no estaba ocupada. Elegimos entrar ya que una serie de platos figuraban como aptos para celíacos; como celíaco, ¡siempre me emociona cuando veo eso! Sin embargo, cuando pedimos, la camarera dijo que no podría tener nada si era celíaca, ya que no podían garantizar que no tuvieran gluten. Realmente molesto, pero prefiero decirlo porque me enfermo si como gluten. Sin embargo, señalé que no deberían incluir celíacos en el menú si lo que querían decir era sin gluten. £15 for table to watch the football....or £10 to stand. Walked around the corner to another bar and watched it for free.....at a table and spent my £15 on beer!

We love visiting Burgh House. Its a pleasure to sit and enjoy the garden and its so relaxing. We have been many times over the years and its always a soothing place. The reason for writing is that we have also eaten in the cafe many times over the years and its usually fine. But our last visit was so disappointing that I did want to request more attention being paid to the cooking and the menu. We ordered one portion of soup and salad and when it came the soup was tasteless and there was hardly any salad with it, just a couple of pieces of rocket We also ordered one goats cheese salad. This consisted of a plate of dry rocket, a handful of walnuts, a few bits of chicory and a piece of goats cheese. There was no dressing with the salad and nor were we offered any. Along with two coffees the lunch cost £29 and was so disappointing. So please have another think about what you are offering as it is not difficult to improve on that and we have not had cause to complain before. (Maybe the chef was sick that weekend and it was a recent one-off but it has put us off going there for a meal for the time being).
