Service was excellent, and the ambiance was pleasant for a Thursday early evening. However, the food quality was disappointing. The fish and chips were both burned and soggy, and the Thai red curry lacked flavor, offering only a strong chili hit without depth. Overall, the experience fell short of the quality I’ve enjoyed at places like Balans Soho. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning or recommending this location.

Had early breakfast with a friend at this rate find at Westfield Stratford. We were warmly welcomed when we got there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, with quaint decor. I had the High Society Eggs Benedict which was divine. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. My friend had the full English breakfast. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone in the area looking further somewhere decent to eat. Thank you Balans East @ Westfield for a lovely breakfast … I look forward to next time. Adieu!

Came here prior to football match for breakfast and we were not disappointed. The waiter was super friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was getting busier. I went for the full English and it was fantastic; the sausage was cooked to perfection and the potatoes pieces were moreish. I would steer away from poached eggs as they were really rubber which is a shame, and tasted strange. The decor here was delightful and retro including the toilets. Lovely place to eat and would come again.

Visited with a friend for breakfast whilst staying in the area. We both enjoyed the food and coffee was superb! Great food and service and quirky decor. Would thoroughly recommend and would definitely revisit.

I had booked a table for brunch. The staff that served us were friendly (why I gave 2 stars). My husbands coffee was forgotten but did come eventually and wouldn’t have bothered me that much if it weren’t for what was to come. Once the food arrived and we started eating, a waitress came and told us it was really busy and she “could do with our table” and just stared at us. it was really rude. It was very busy but we were already in the restaurant and had only been there around half an hour. We weren’t late and had booked a table. It ruined the meal for us and we left as soon as we had finished. It was expensive for what we had and we wouldn’t go back.

This restaurant is really nice for lunch if you find yourself in the Westfield Centre in Stratford. I had a delicious chicken and bacon cobb salad which had a lovely dressing and was perfect for what I wanted. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would certainly recommend if in the area.

Three of us had lunch here. We all had the cobb salad with chicken and bacon which was very good. I greedily had the cinnamon bread and butter pudding and it was well worth the calories. Service was friendly and attentive and added to the chilled vibe. I like it a lot and it’s our go to when we are down watching our daughter play hockey at Lee Valley.

Fabulous food, atmosphere and service. Very vibrant and even though every table was taken this did not slow the service down.

Very friendly team and nice atmosphere. Had some special margarita cocktails which were very nice and I had the red curry. This was very tasty and a real delight. Would definately come back again.

Never been here before but so glad we found Balans. Stayed at the Premier Inn and not particularly fond of the breakfast . However the food at Balans amazing and great service by very good looking and attentive waiters!! What’s not to love !! Environment lovely and very clean and food lovely Had breakfast and would definitely go back when at Stratford again !! Good menu for breakfast and food well presented and fresh. Will see you again xx

Popped in Friday evening after shopping to save cooking at home and also as a treat following a procedure in hospital earlier in the day. Served by Alexi, a glass of water poured and asked if I wanted other drinks not long after being seated. Opted for the Balans staple, the Society Burger as the main with calamari to start accompanied by a bottle of Chenin Blanc and finished with some doughnuts, chocolate sauce and chantilly cream with an Espresso Martini. Great value , wholesome food , well presented with just a couple of niggles, Firstly the burger now comes with thin fries not the previous chunky skin on fries and the condiments now come in small individual portion glass jars, the size you’d typically find jam/marmalade in at a hotel breakfast buffet, In my opinion, this is wasteful as unused sauce has to be discarded after each customer whereas the larger bottle could remain on the table.

Looking for a good breakfast/brunch after a somewhat heavy night and fell upon this jewel. Excellent service and the food was delicious but their jewel in the crown was the Julius Meinl coffee. Simply the best!

A shell of its sister restaurants this is a cheap imitation . Service that befits it’s shopping centre location, inattentive and rude . But the kitchen is where this place really falls down lately . Poorly cooked steaks and most dishes poorly seasoned also . A very underwhelming experience

I went here for breakfast with my friend, as we were staying at the nearby Premier Inn and don't care for the breakfast there. The staff here are excellent, charming, know their stuff, and very welcoming. The food's terrific - I'm quite a picky eater, and the only reason it took me ages to choose what to have is that I wanted about 10 different items on the menu and it took me a long time to choose, something that I never experience in a restaurant. I had avocado on sourdough toast - everything was superb, even the cup of tea was outstanding, I've no idea what brand they use. So, as you may gather, top marks from me.

My friend & I had a pleasant Saturday afternoon @ Balan’s East: We had Fish & Chips with two cocktails between us. The food Portions are generous. Service was good & swift. Shall definitely visit again 🍸😊

Great choice and very lovely food. We were all happy with our choices. Drinks were tasty and the service (thanks to Mihai) was great. Second visit and I’d not hesitate to go back whenever I’m next in the area.

Terrible food. Stale half toasted sourdough. Table was dirty. Eggs were cooked in a dirty pan and had bits of black on them. Really shocking, I have no idea why it’s busy. I asked for my eggs easy over, so they gave all 3 orders a completely solid fried egg. When my husband complained (he didn’t ask for easy over) the waitress wanted to argue that I had asked for easy over. My husband then explained what an easy over egg is. Just all round poor service. My son couldn’t chew through his “toast.” £56! I’d of much rather had a Pret or a Starbucks.

We visited on a cold and windy birthday bank holiday afternoon seeking heaters, a nice cocktail and a warm dessert. Staff initially seemed quite dismissive when we asked if they had a table free, but we continued to wait since the heaters looked very appealing. Once we sat down it was comfortable, but that was where the positive experience ended. All of the staff were miserable, as if they really didn’t want to be there and as customers we felt like a burden. When we ordered we asked if we could swap the pancake topping for chocolate sauce which was served with another dessert, the server wasn’t sure so asked her manager in front of us whilst they decided it should be an extra charge and made up a price in front of us- this was very unprofessional and unnecessary for such a small swap. The hot chocolate we received was undrinkable and got sent back and the prices of the cocktails at £10 was expensive for what they were. We tried to order jäger bombs, but then when they arrived it turns out the restaurant didn’t do red bull which was an expensive mistake which the restaurant didn’t try to fix. The doughnut and chocolate dessert was delicious but hard to enjoy when we felt so unwelcome. We then asked for the bill and the server acknowledged they heard us without actually responding, we then double checked that they heard and they looked at us still without saying anything. This was a birthday celebration and we had a lovely experience earlier in the day at another restaurant, which made this experience even more upsetting.

We came and stand in the line waiting for a table. The host called to follow him, so we thought it was us as we didn't see the lady who just walked up. My 12yrs son walked over towards the table , when the host started to shout at him to come back and was swearing. I was upset and turned to walked away. I told him it was just a mistake , he's a child and I feel offended that he's swearing at my son. He apologised and said its because he's in charge of the seating and he couldn't sit 3 people over there. He said he was swearing at his coworker and not my son, but we all knew it was my son he swore at. We sat and ate our meal as we were hungry and had a long day. His behaviour was uncalled for and disrespectful.

I've remained faithful to Balan's because of the reputation of their Soho original. This Westfield Stratford oultet however, never fails to disappoint. Today on perhaps my 4th visit to this branch, I am reaching such vertiginous heights of and frustration that I am re-activating my Trip Advisor account... Just so I can give this place the feedback I already know the profoundly disinterested team here on site will not care about. The lack of greeting upon entry, the being sat at a table "out of sight" and pretty much entirely ignored over the course of my 2h stay... waiters seem to make a point of avoiding eye contact yet I have discovered when visiting the toilet that most of the team are hanging out at a table round the corner from mine... How about having to send back an uncooked cheese omelette, or waiting 20mins for my dessert order to be taken only for that to be a stone cold, fridde-tasting and utterly stale horror...? It's a bad time for hospitality and I am out specifically trying to support the venues and brands who have given me great London memories over the years... in the face of this much competition and crisis, Balan's needs to do a hell of a lot better if it wants to survive this crisis, is my opinion.

Having been to this restaurant several times recently, the food is , on the whole good, though I was very disappointed with the fish, as was another member of the party. Drinks were very expensive, & on previous visits they had run out of draught lager,,maybe these are lockdown problems. Service good.

We came for a Saturday breakfast, and our visit got off to a shaky start with a very glum welcome, general confusion, and a waiter that said nothing while showing us to our table before walking away in silence. Once the food arrived all was restored - Eggs Benedict was made with a delicious home-made hollandaise sauce, the Eggs in Hell was an excellent spicy tomato and potato mix, and leaf tea was served in pots. If the service had been up to scratch this would easily have been a 5-star review.

Sunday motivational pancake stuck from Balans in Westfield. Perfect for if you are off to do a days shopping or just can’t resist the look of this pancakes.We had 2 more delicates:New York-style salt beef with sauerkraut, pickles, mustard mayo, toasted sourdough and Lobster Benedict, 1 /2 lobster, poached Woodland Farm eggs, avocado & crispy bacon on an English muffin, with homemade Hollandaise sauce.Excellent food and brilliant, caring service. Would love to visit again.

Love coming to Balans for brunch, especially when Diego works as he is always so welcoming, helpful and smiling! It actually makes food better when the device is good/someone so friendly! Makes every trip enjoyable.

Dropped in here for a breakfast. Service was superb, very attentive and slick. Covid protocols all worked fine. Breakfast was very good, swift although we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. Will definitely be back.

Toda la comida estaba sin sabor. Los huevos no tenían sal ni sabor. Los champiñones, el tocino, el tomate y las patatas no estaban bien cocidos. El pan estaba viejo. La langosta era falsa y vieja y demasiado cara para una cantidad tan pequeña.

Un gran desayuno para curar la resaca antes de tomar el tren de regreso a casa y excelentes opciones de menú para lo que le apetezca.Asientos exteriores cubiertos ideales para observar a la gente y un personal amable.Mi bistec con huevos estaba perfectamente cocinado también a mi gusto y la única crítica fue que nuestra comida y bebidas llegaron todas al mismo tiempo y hubiera sido bueno disfrutar de nuestras bebidas un poco primero, aunque no nos apuraron de otra manera.Definitivamente volveré a visitar para probar algo más del menú.

This is a beautiful little place to pop in whilst taking a break from shoppingyou are welcomed by friendly staff the wine was perfect and the tapas sized portions are perfect, only problem was that they had run out of the Duck Samosas and kitchen hadnt made any more...never mind next time i will trygo and enjoy

La primera vez que visito este restaurante y debo decir que fue muy agradable. La comida era rápida y deliciosa y el postre de donuts era increíble, sin duda volvería. Quería el pescado y las patatas fritas, pero desafortunadamente se agotaron, así que nos conformamos con el langostino al curry rojo, estaba lleno de sabor, el personal fue muy amable, tuvimos que llamarlos comoNadie nos registró pero para ser justos estaban muy ocupados.

Went there tonight for the first time. We decided to share a few dishes from the small plates menu and really enjoyed all of it, including Parsnip/Cauliflower Korma, Duck samosas and Monchego/Ham croquettes. Service was very attentive and very friendly. Can’t believe we must have walked past many times before but now we know we will be returning.

Acabo de comer y pagar el peor desayuno de todos. Como veterano de los viajes a Europa del Este en los años 80, he tenido algunas comidas difíciles, e. sol. cabeza de oveja horneada (incluidos los ojos) en una parada de camiones búlgaros, o una sopa rumana de la época del escudero de ceau hecha con coliflor montada con gusanos. Lo que llegó fue una lechada: arroz con leche (definitivamente no basmati), más húmedo que el risotto más húmedo, que sabía como si hubiera sido cocinado en agua de platos junto con, como parecía, el eglefino (ya no se podía saber si alguna vez se había fumado alguna vez). después de la ebullición vigorosa); la totalidad contenía guisantes de color caqui (también bien hervidos), cebolla cruda cruda pero mal picada y cebolla blanca en trozos que no estaban crudos ni cocidos (el efecto que noté más tarde ese día). Estaba bastante claro que el kedgeree había sido hecho por alguien sin la menor idea de cómo se suponía que debía verse o sabiarse el resultado: el huevo estaba escalfado bien, pero era un huevo sin sabor. Pedimos panqueques y fruta y tostadas francesas para quitar el sabor, y eso también era bastante pobre, con muy poco jarabe de arce (? Sabor) y bordes chamuscados. Anteriormente habíamos disfrutado de Balans, Kensington, pero algo está muy mal en Stratford. The best dairy-free pancakes I’ve ever had. Incredibly light and fluffy, with divine berries and maple syrup.

As soon as we stepped inside we were greeted with a smile and shown to a nice table,the service and staff couldn't have been more attentive with the topping up with water and the burger and haddock which we had was very tasty.There is a service charge added to the bill but you can ask them to remove it,your choice but we didn't.

We stumbled upon Balans and decided to go in for a late lunch. We had The Infamous Balans Burger and a variety of small plates... Everything was tasty and some small plates were excellent, especially the Crab Tortellini and the Duck Rendang Samosas... And they have Moretti beer on tap that we just love. Will certainly be back next time in Stratford!

Visited on a busy Saturday morning for brunch. Drinks and food were excellent (too many good choices on the menu!) so meal was very much enjoyed. Service generally was good although we waited quite a long time for the bill.

I like Balans mostly, food and drinks are nice, but if you want me to pay £11 for a cocktail, the least you can do is make the outside seating area nice and clean (seats are dirty and sticky) and stop beggars coming into the seated area to ask you for money.. makes for an uncomfortable experience... service is often very slow - especially when it comes to getting the next round or the bill. Scope for big improvements...

Il centro commerciale di Stratford alle dieci del mattino di sabato è già invaso da profumi di ogni genere, quello del cibo è il più invitante. Locale molto bello e caratteristico, come quasi tutti quelli nel centro sono catene, quindi si possono trovare anche in altre zone della città. Un Bloody Mary , cappuccino e berry pancakes, mia moglie più sobria un ottimo franch toast,una colazione..da pazzi come ho scritto nel titolo, abituato ad un misero the con due biscotti, appena sveglio e un espresso prima di iniziare a lavorare. Londra è Londra.

Located in the Westfield Shopping Centre it was walking distance from our hotel. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Food was excellent. So much so we came back for dinner!!

This is not my first time here at Balans Soho Society stratford and Soho, My previous visit i had to complain with regards to my food and replaced and I said to myself at that time i will leave it a while before i go back again.

Went for lunch. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We had tea, an omelette and a bruschetta. The portions were good sizes and the food was tasty. The bill, with service, came to £27, so very good value.

We chanced upon this venue and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a rather lukewarm welcome however from a member of staff when showing us to a tucked away table at the back of the restaurant on the right. After that service was incredible: swift, delicious food and very personable with professional and friendly staff. This is a lovely place - warm, inviting with interesting funky design, extensive menu catering for all tastes and most enjoyable. The cooked breakfast was delicious and as mushrooms weren’t wanted an alternative was offered. Great coffee and porridge too. Slight negative when being asked if fruit should be added to the porridge one pound was added to the bill for a few slices: disappointing! Would not stop us going again as highly recommended (no fruit next tine though!!!). Well done Balans.

I love this place, the food was really nice, the service was alright, however, 2 ladies from the staff were extremely rude. It was around 8 o'clock on a Sunday evening, there were still plenty of people in the restaurant, and when we got in, there were no waiters in the view, however, there were 2 ladies in the bar who were doing the stock I guess. We've waited for 5, 10, then 15 minutes, for one of them to acknowledge us, but they were acting like no one was there. After waiting for a while, I decided to ask if it's alright if we go in for a couple of drinks. One of the ladies looks at me full of disgust saying "yeah", like we were thieves or something. I never felt so humiliated in my life. After she said that, she returned to what she was doing like we were invisible. We were about to leave when one waiter came to help us out.

We visited today for brunch for a friends birthday and was massively disappointed. The service was very slow, they either forgot drinks or meals came at different times so we didn’t actually eat together. I asked if they could do a special dessert for my friend as it was her birthday and was told no, it was only that I insisted they had done it only a month prior that they actually decided to give it a go. We then waited an eternity for the desserts to come, again the first one came out on its own, the pancakes were burnt and the maple butter was rock hard so we sent it back and cancelled the other desserts. The staff didn’t even seem sorry and were quite arrogant when we complained. I have been here a lot in the past with friends but definitely won’t be returning.

Today I visited Bailons for lunch to celebrate a friends birthday. The service upon entering the restaurant is pleasant, but you quickly notice how slow the service is! Drink orders are either forgotten or bought out a ridiculous amount of time later. Food is served to the table at different times, meaning one of my friends had finished her meal when mine arrived.

Service was fantastic, very speedy and food delivered fast, lovely and hot, very filling. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly called Tania. Nice beer on draft. Situated opposite TK Maxx where the outside shops are and very accessible to car park and other Westfield facilities all walking distance.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch in Stratford Westfield and this restaurant looked interesting. The decor was good but there were not many people inside. However we decided to try it. It was nearly 1.00 and we were offered the brunch menu. We decided to go for the main menu and all ordered the same dish. We asked if we needed sides with the meal but the description included new potatoes, leek , salmon and mussels. The waiter said chips but we didn’t want chips. When the meal arrived we looked at each other because we couldn’t believe how little food was on the plate. There was a small piece of very greasy looking salmon, a cherry tomato, one mussel (actually there may have been two) one tiny new potato and a small sliver of inedible leek. When the waiter came and asked if the food was ok we commented on how little food there was but he just walked away and we got the impression he didn’t understand much of what we said. This cost over £16.

Had another fish and chips dinner and a great cold beer. I came after the Arsenal match and was pleased with the quality of the fish. Cooked perfectly

We had a lovely Sunday brunch. Very good coffee, good full English, great service. One of our two pancake orders was not as well made as the other one, we told our server, he replied “thank you for letting me know”, and we were not charged for it. Mistakes happen, the difference is how you deal with them, and Balans dealt with it impeccably. Highly recommended.

We came here for a quick drink and snack as for once we had baby sitter for our newborn. First it started when outside it was advertising happy hour and when checking with waiter he advised that we have to be members in order to qualify for that. We didnt argue about as it looked like it was our fault as we missed the small writing where it stated that. We ordered quesedillias and pork belly and we been asked by our waiter which quesedillias we want meaty or just cheese which seemed nice as we didnt see that on the menu. Whiles when ordering pork belly we been asked if we choose normal fries or chunky chips. It would of been fine if he explained that it was extras rather then making believe that this is what it comes with. We paid extra £5 for meaty quesedillias and on top of that they came cold. We didnt want to ruin our time out but we definitly wont be returning.

Came with friends and had to wait 15 minutes before someone even took a drinks order. Was then another 20 minutes on top of that for a food order. Food was lovely and at a decent price but nobody even came to do a check back or ask if we needed more drinks. We had to go in to ask for the bill because again nobody came to see we were okay or even walk past and check. Being someone who works in hospitality I always tip because I know how much it’s appreciated but this is the first time in my life I have never tipped a server. No conversation or even a smile from the servers. Shame because the food was great but the staff are lazy.

Nuestra visita el viernes por la noche estuvo bien. Había reservado porque esperaba que estuviera ocupado, el hecho de que estaba medio vacío el viernes por la noche debería haber sonado las campanas de advertencia. Teníamos una botella de NZ Sauvignon y Malbec. Pensé que ambos eran demasiado caros por la calidad. Ninguno de los dos sabía muy bien. Pedimos comida del menú de platos pequeños para compartir. Para ser justos, todo fue de buen sabor, pero llegó apenas tibio. Por supuesto, para cuando estábamos a mitad de camino, hacía mucho frío. Ningún servidor vino a comprobar cómo estaba la comida. Cuando uno finalmente llegó a la mesa, nos quejamos de que la comida no se había servido caliente y prácticamente se encogió de hombros de los soldados y lo lamentó sin sentido. Pedí que se informara al gerente, pero no hubo más acciones, así que supongo que la política es ignorar las quejas. Tenía la esperanza de que este sería un buen "ir a" lugar para reunirse con amigos, pero fue un poco decepcionante,

El café estaba tibio. Terminado. El café y el jugo terminaron mucho antes de que llegara la comida. La comida apenas estaba caliente también.

La comida era buena, no estábamos muy contentos con los tiempos de espera (incluso para pagar la factura), así que no planeamos dar ninguna propina. Popped in with my friend for a quick drink, fell in love with the amazing service, Anna our waitress and her supervisor made everything seemless. we ended up staying for 4 hours and asking our friends to meet us here for dinner and drinks. Great atmosphere and service. Special thanks to Anna.

Arrived mid-week to a fairly empty outside terrace with one male member of staff serving the entire outside part of the bar and restaurant. Took 20 minutes for him to even come over and take our order and when he brought our wine, he spilled about a quarter glass pouring it out! Guy was clearly stressed and overwhelmed but there must be more staff available to serve, and we saw people getting up and leaving after waiting so long to be served.

We cycled the 100 mile Sportive on Sunday and stayed overnight in a hotel, we decided to treat ourselves and go for a full English breakfast, we were not disappointed. I had poached eggs x 2, my friend had fried eggs, accompanied by bacon, sausage, mushrooms, small potatoes, freshly grilled tomatoes, toast and tea. It was delicious. The staff were attentive and pleasant, surroundings lovely. Would definitely recommend.

I've been here twice and both times have been a massive let down. Balans Soho Society jumped out at me with its lovely decor and interesting menu so when I got the chance I decided to treat myself to a nice brunch on my day off. I walked in and there was one other table who had just finished. The waiter looked at me like I was imposing, didn't greet me or ask could he help or get a table until I broke the awkward silence and stated the obvious that I was looking for a table. He pointed to one in the corner, threw down menu and didn't even ask if I wanted a drink to get started- nothing. Then a waitress finally came to take my order, again didn't even greet me or ask was I ready to order, just stood there and waited for me to speak. My Eggs Benedict came after quite some time but it was lukewarm which was very strange as at this point only one other table had arrived and they were still looking at their menu. It was put in front of me without asking could they get me anything else or a simple "enjoy". No one came to check was everything okay while I was eating and when the plate was finished again zero interaction. I wasn't asked did I want another drink or a tea or coffee etc. Not once was I asked did I enjoy my meal. I had to get up to ask for the bill and even then was just looked at, no conversation or interaction. The staff looked miserable and like I was bothering them just by being there.

Cuando llegamos justo después de las 6 pm del jueves por la noche, casi no había nadie allí y 3 miembros del personal correteaban como pollos sin cabeza. Había un montón de vasos sucios apilados en el bar. Deberíamos haber dejado en ese punto. El servicio era terrible, el personal tenía una actitud muy defensiva también. Tuve que seguir caminando hasta el bar para pedirles que tomaran nuestros pedidos. La comida, cuando llegó estaba fría como la piedra y solo se proporcionaba a 2 de cada 3 de nosotros, aunque todos pedimos lo mismo (hamburguesa). Incluso después de enviarlo de vuelta, todavía volvió frío. Muy decepcionante. Nos quejamos con el gerente y ella parecía que estaba a punto de llorar, y nos dijo que estaba de acuerdo, pero que no podía hacer nada ya que no tenía personal suficiente. Definitivamente no regresaría. Había un joven alto que era muy amable y obviamente se esforzaba, pero todos los demás tenían una actitud terrible.

Not really fancying the breakfast on offer at the nearby Premier Inn, made our way to Balans and very glad we did. Sat in the 'outside' area and were well cared for. A small but intersting choice for breakfast, so we both chose the full cooked breakfast and an excellent choice it was. Quality bacon and sausage and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Good coffee too. Will come back if we are visiting here again.

We had breakfast at Balans this morning. They have a great range of modern breakfasts and classics and some lovely drinks and teas. The ingredients were really high quality (especially the sausage and bacon), the poached eggs cooked to perfection. The service was attentive, they weren't too busy though - but we'd definitely go back!

Had dinner and drinks here recently and was quite let down to be honest. The staff were very friendly and helpful at least although there seemed to be only two people serving the bar and the restaurant which made it difficult to get service when needed. The menu looked pretty nice but ordered six of the small plates and wasn't impressed, they were bland and some had even started to go cold when they served them. It took long enough for the food to arrive and other customers that ordered later than us were receiving food before us so we decided to not bother sending anything back. Overall felt that is a bit overpriced for the experience. Unfortunately the outside area is exposed to all the foot traffic of Westfield and it just isn't a nice vibe.

I chose to eat here on a whim because I've been to balanse cafe in Soho and really enjoyed the food there. For today's visit at the Westfield restaurant I chose to go for chicken sliders and fries. First off the pricing is outrageous, it feels like a brasserie inside but the prices do not reflect that. My chicken sliders cost £7 and a portion of fries is £3.50. A burger would have been £15. I expected high quality food but was disappointed when my fries arrived which were totally overcooked and greasy, quite a small portion as well. The chicken burger was completely tasteless the chicken was dry and hardly battered. It felt like something I would make at home not something I would pay 7 pound for. The burgers are served with two slices of what I assume is mackerel or anchovy which wasn't stated anywhere in the menu description. I strongly dislike the odour and taste of fish so I was immediately turned off by the dish and lost my appetite. Why would they serve fish slices with a chicken dish?! The burgers had a fishy taste to them which happens often when a place fries the fish dishes in the same fryer as their chicken or other foods. All in all it was massively disappointing and overpriced.

We ordered two medium-well burgers and we got them well done. We sent them back to the kitchen and we got the new ones. One of them was fine, the other one was almost rare. The fries the second time were over cooked. It’s not the first time we had a bad experience in this place. We won’t come back anymore.

Wasn't sure what to expect but we all had a really good visit. Service throughout was good, all of the meals we had were great. Will visit again.

I waited a long time to give my order for s cocktail and wasn’t hugely impressed with it. “Dirty banana”. I wouldn’t have it again and I do so hate being charged a service charge, as on this occasion I wouldn’t give one as I chased service. On the plus side, I could get on their Wi-fi which is more than I can say for Westfield.

Been here quite a few times and I thought let me write a review about this place .. its soooooo good! And the location is perfect! Today for example I went with my mother and I had some returns to do so she didnt want to go anywhere far - she wanted brunch and the only place for that in Westfield Stratford is Balans!

Came in for late breakfast. The menu is varied with lots of great sounding dishes but stuck to a classic English breakfast. Tasty, with good portions all was great really. The service could have been a little faster but it was quite friendly. Would definitely recommend and go back.

We were looking for food but nothing was open. Stumbled on this place. What a find!. Great food and service. Seems we were lucky to get a table on Sunday morning, but got one without a reservation. Highly recomend this to anyone looking for a great brunch.

Here for dinner with a friend. Really nice table at the back, out of the way. Great attentive service and good menu. Food really was good - excellent ribeye. Not bad value either, c£120 to two with 3 courses and wine.

Had an extremely bad experience at Balans Soho Society yesterday. We went for brunch and ordered the English breakfast and eggs two ways. Both dishes came out very cold so we told one of the waiters who went to get a manager. The manager came over and just stared at us blankly and said nothing to us. We told her the situation and she said ‘what do you want me to do’ with no apology. She then took our plates and said she would get us new ones. After 10 mins the second dishes came out and they were also really cold! We were almost laughing at how awful the service was towards the end. Wouldn’t recommend!

I am not one to write a review but I felt like this was a necessity. The environment of Balans is nice, it is warming and inviting. However, when entering there was a free table which we were told to wait for - no problem with this. However, someone came in after and were offered the table before us.

After a long day in London,decided to have a freshen up session before heading back to Victoria from Westfield shopping centre.It was around 6:00 pm.The female staff member who offered assistance built a very good rapport and already established that we won't be having any mains.Ordered drinks and 3 starters -fishcakes, scallops and arancini.We three shared the three dishes.We all enjoyed those 3 dishes.The place has got an ambience that you will cherish.Staff were so caring and attentive ,especially our little girl could not stop talking about this place for the last one month and even made me to recreate their fish cake starter.definitely a place for pre-show session for a night out in London.

Thank you Davide for your great service at our dinner today. We really enjoyed the foor and very attentive and quick service. Compare to your colleagues you really take care about your customers. We'll definitely come back! Frank

Visited here around 11am. Once inside I think she was the manager who appeared to be busy. We waited to be seated.

El servicio fue excelente al igual que la comida. . ¡Estaba delicioso! Si eliges 5 platos pequeños, obtienes 2 de ellos gratis, así que tuvimos uno entre nosotros que fue perfecto. Llegamos justo después de las 6 pm y el restaurante estaba tranquilo, lo cual es mucho mejor que comer dentro del centro comercial y gradualmente comenzó a llenarse pero siguió siendo un ambiente agradable. Estoy realmente sorprendido de que no haya una calificación más alta. ¡No puedo esperar para regresar!

We planned to come here for the special cocktails. They are on a happy hour so quite good value. It is quite nicely designed and an attractive setting for a shopping mall.

Absolutely awesome breakfast. The Soho Full English Breakfast is just that BIG. Like the option that they do eggs two ways. Now the High Society Lobster Benedict looked great and appeared to taste great too. Service was excellent.

20 minutes to take our order. 25 minutes for a pot of tea to arrive. 1hr 5minutes after we arrived, still no food and we saw the people who arrived at least 40minutes after us get their food first. At that point we got up and left! Needless to say we won't ever go back.

I went to dinner at Stratford with my wife and was super full but everyone was very attentive especially the cristiane waitress and her casssilda manager. Super recommend... Next week I'm back with friends.

I was at the restaurant @ really busy time and was a lovely evening. the waitress was super attentive and smiling especialment cristiane and his menageger who gave us full atention. the food was well cook and very tasty. We'll be back, for sure. 😍😍😍

I came with my boyfriend for breakfast, I must say it was nice and filling however we both got cold coffee which is a bit sad as we expected a bit more. Apart from that, I would recommend this place.

We came for late Saturday breakfast. Waited a while for a table even though I could see a few empty ones. When we sat down with waiter help we were waiting another 10-15 minutes. Nobody notice us, nobody came with the menu. All the staff were just running chaoticly and not organised at all. So we left, still hungry. Seems your staff has no control over the place.

We went to Balans for around 10th time this year. It’s a place of our first date so we like to go back there whenever we can. We knew it would be quite busy and it was, but we both working in hospitality and it’s not a problem for us.

Went for breakfast. Will never be going there again or recommend to anyone.....EVER!!! The manager is rude and a bare faced liar. She really needs training on customer service. Never experienced such behaviour at any restaurant. Totally disgusted with this place!!

We had a reasonable meal last week, but felt the service lacked something and we did not feel overly welcomed.

Found staff friendly, had fish n chips, a little over priced. Service was good. Basic pub grub type restaurant.
