£15 for table to watch the football....or £10 to stand. Walked around the corner to another bar and watched it for free.....at a table and spent my £15 on beer!

Stumbled across this to watch the football. This was a great place to watch it as it was like being at the cinema the screen was that big. You need to book a seat to get a good one. The atmosphere was good and staff were lovely. Food was also great for the price. You get 10% off your food and drinks if you register as a member which is worth it as it’s free. They show pretty much every sport on tv as they have that many screens. Highly recommend

Came for a couple of drinks with a few family members and got turned away for apparently being drunk, after 2 bottles of beer, when being completely sober. Seems like they didn't want 5 sober men in their venue to watch the sport! Pretty annoying when we only wanted a few beers when watching the football. Nice bar but, don't go in a group!

Vi gick och letade en kvart i området innan vi fann denna sportbaren. Vi hade adress och Google Maps till hjälp, men eftersom baren ligger inrymd i källaren på ett casino, så var det inte lätt att finna. Här var rent, ljust och fräscht och gott om stora och små tv skärmar som visade sport. Dryckmoch mat serveras och spelmöjligheter finns på många ställen i byggnaden. Inga foton, för det var noga med att man inte fick fotografera här inne.

We did research about where to go to watch NFL games while in London, and it was between this place and O'Neill's. When we arrived, we were told my husband would have to pay a pound to check his small, one-strap camera bag before entering the bar. But we were assured they were showing the NFL games. We paid the pound and checked the bag, and as we approached the bar, we were stopped by security and informed we were not allowed to enter until the football (soccer) matches were over. We were told it would be at least another twenty minutes, even though the US games had already begun. As a sports fan, I get it. It's unreasonable to expect them to turn off a game already in progress, but don't advertise that you are THE place to watch NFL when you are not. (more on that later) It was sweltering hot in the narrow space with nowhere to sit, along with all the other NFL fans who were arriving and discovering there was nowhere to wait or watch the games. And there was no internet to check scores either. After realizing the situation, we decided to leave. I was annoyed we had to pay to check our camera bag when we were at the casino less than five minutes and felt we had been lied to. We walked down to O'Neill's which was showing one game already, grabbed seats and beers, and as the soccer matches ended, they put on the rest of the NFL games. I feel like Carlsberg needs to change their advertising to say, "THE place to watch the NFL...provided there's nothing else on."

Dear casino team. I am truly sorry that two days ago, (Sunday 30th) I ordered a Butchers Board platter, I paid for my order and then the waiting staff delivered the wrong food, however, I did not realise it was not my order because it was the second time I ordered some food in there and I had no idea how the plate was going to look like. Some people sitting next to us asked us what we ordered so they could order the same and I told them it was the Butchers Board and then they explained to us that they always ordered that plate and it was not what we had in the table. When I told the staff that they made this mistake, they started to figure out about this. About one-hour latter, after some waiters and waitresses asked tables around us about their orders, a staff member (a woman that looks like a supervisor) came back to the table and asked me in a rude way if I was going to pay or not for the food that was misplaced. I refused to do it because even though I began to eat it, I didn't eat it all and it wasn't what I ordered, then that woman asked security to kick us out and we told them that we wanted to speak with the manager on duty because of her rudeness and their mistake. When David (the manager who refused to give us his last name) came, he asked us what happened and we explained to him the situation. After that, he told me he was going to give back my money and still he asked us to leave the place. We were not happy with the situation but still, we agreed to it because We already had enough from the rude staff. We were getting ready to leave and waiting for my money back when the manager came in again and told me that I did not pay for the food and I was practically stealing from them, something that is completely false because I did pay for the food and at the bar after every order they always ask for the payment immediately and he asked reception to cancel my membership, which I happily did considering the rude and awful treatment of the staff to me. At this point, I was offended by the rude manager who accused me of stealing and in my way to the exit I told him that in my personal opinion he was the worst manager and his accusation could even be sueable considering that he was wrongly accusing me of stealing. At that time I asked some members of the casino about his last name and apparently, he told everyone to not answer anything to any of us because all the members remained quiet. Finally, I was going to fill a complaint form about this situation but I thought that it was a better idea to write an email to you and leave reviews online about this situation considering that the staff could easily throw my physical complaint away as if it never existed. I hope you take actions in this manner, check your ways on how to handle misplacements of orders, payment processes in the bar, how to place orders so it could be more efficient and get to teach the manager and staff proper ways to treat customers, think how many people might have experienced this situation and how many customers the casino might have lost in the past reducing the revenues of the establishment. Thank you for your time and the worst evening I have ever experienced in my life. This is the first time I am kicked out of one place.

Men's bags under "a4" size are removed with force at reception

Had a very enjoyable afternoon at the Carlsberg Pub watching a few football matches on a Sunday afternoon. The prices are reasonable, especially for central London, and the service is satisfactory but can be a bit slow at the bar. Michael Clottey, a door supervisor at the pub, made our visit(s) absolutely spectacular. He was friendly, courteous and made sure to give us helpful tips and advice and also send a server over to our table when we wanted to order food and additional drinks, allowing us to get table service and avoid the long queue. We’ve visited several pubs in the London area and will be sure to return here because of the great, friendly and courteous service of Michael Clottey. Make sure to say hello to him when you arrive and chat with him for a while, he’s a great guy and provides exceptional service!!

I tried to book a table for a large group of friends for a popular champions league game, booked a week in advance and had confirmation over the phone and telephone - the day before I received an email to say the booking had been cancelled, I called up and was told my booking had never been confirmed in the first place and that the person that confirmed over the phone was lieing! We’re now a large group stuck without a place to go in London for such a big game with everywhere fully booked thanks to the incompetence and disorganisation of the staff here.

Went here with a couple of friends on a Champions league night and really liked the place. You are literally in the Casino so if you fancied a bet you could but we just stayed in the Bar Area watching the football. Lots of screens and great atmosphere, we did not book but got there an hour before the matches and got a seat. Food and drink not badly priced for London and very good. Service was OK we got drinks from the Bar which appears to be full but a lot of people at the bar were watching the TV’s behind it so you think there is a large queue when their was not. Free entry as well. Will definitely return

Never go to this bar... Ever! Rude bouncers and staff... They didn't let us in for no reason... After paying 15 for a table...disgusting behaviour...should be shut down! I repeat... Never ever go to this bar... Should be closed! We were 3 couples!!

This place is very good reasonable prices the buttermilk chicken burger is very nice , just be careful ordering food they try to charge a service charge , which is odd considering you order your food at the bar just ask them to remove it , food is great though

Went here last night for the first game of the season. Booked a table for 3 in advance online - very easy and £2.50 reservation charge a head so no problem there. Joined for free when we arrived at Empire Casino which gives you a free drink and 10% off food and drink - just make sure you have ID. Great table for the game and the food and drinks are fair priced and good quality with friendly professional staff. Bar gets very busy so do yourself a favour and book before hand. One of the best venues I’ve watched a game in London. Lots of security being a casino so no drunken fools to spoil the night.

I wish I knew about this bar before. It is the best sports bar in London. Providing multiple screens, good drink deals, and comfortable seating. These are the main essentials for a sporting night out. However, due to the venue being so good it is perfect for drinks as well. Even better as a member you get discounts for the bar and casino. The service is impeccable with staff always helpful and giving advice on areas to sit on busy nights. Areas can be reserved, which you need to be mindful of for big sporting occasions. The drinks are excellent with an array of cocktails and great happy hour deals. The food is well portioned and often more than required. I particularly enjoyed the chicken wings and the sweet potato fries are a real highlight. This is definitely one of my favourite venues and is surprising considering the location in a premium area of London.

O Lugar é muito legal, fica dentro de um cassino. O acesso é um pouco chato porque causa da segurança - não pode entrar de mochila mas as mulheres podem entrar com bolsa grande - vai entender. Se a bolsa/mochila não estiver de acordo com os padrões tem que deixar no guarda volume (pago). Tem que pagar pra entrar mas o valor é descontado da consumação. Os preços de comida/bebida são razoáveis. O serviço é bom. A área do telão pode precisar de reserva se for algum jogo importante. O cassino é legal mas o jogo é muito “caro” com aposta mínima de £5. Só vá mesmo se estiver procurando lugar pra assistir algum evento esportivo

Ótima escolha em Londres. Fica dentro de um Cassino no centro da cidade. Em dias de jogo o bar enche, algumas pessoas acabam ficando sem mesa, mas isso não interfere na qualidade do bar.

Vi la NFL aquí con mi hermano. Las pantallas son impresionantes, sobre todo la pantalla principal. La comida es deliciosa y las porciones son muy buenas. Yo tenía una hamburguesa con patatas fritas de camote y una cesta de pollo, recomiendo ambos. El personal era muy educado y servicial. Hay un ambiente muy relajado y un gran lugar para disfrutar de los deportes sin interrupción.

He estado allí muchas veces durante los últimos meses. Buen lugar para ver deportes, pero se pone muy ocupado cuando grandes juegos están en reserva, así que mejor a las mesas. A veces mesas tienen el cartel de "reservado" en aunque son en realidad no entiendo la necesidad de negocio pero no parece muy correcto.

Este fue un gran hallazgo. Gran sports bar para ver cualquier juegos, Céntrico, cómodo, limpio, con un buen ambiente y muy amable y servicial.

We booked Carlsberg sports bar for lunch for 6 people whilst the manu vs spurs game was on. It was very busy and you definitely would need to book in advance. Loads of tv screens including some massive ones so ideal for watching sports. Staff were friendly and food was nice, we had a sharing Carlsberg platter to start followed by burgers which everyone enjoyed.

Visiting London for NFL and post match visited bar to watch USA footy. Location and atmosphere was first class. The bar and coverage of sport was fab. Just like the beer it was great and they do some nice food too. Hope to visit on next return.Thank you.

This is the ultimate sports bar. All sports are catered for. There are a great range of seats and tables but the prime spots are the lovely squishy chairs in front of the wall of TVs where I've been lucky enough to watch football, cricket and tennis. Food is served all through the night and is always excellent quality and the drinks flow freely and aren't overly expensive even though you are in the heart of London.

Fantastic the best pints ever with all the sports on the big screens great atmosphere perfect when there's a footy game on ,it's the best atmosphere great food and with it being within the Casino it ticks all the boxs ,always visit would recommend to get in early for big games as gets busy staff are always good

Hay muchas veces que un bar las 24 horas habría de ser práctico en el centro de Londres! No me había dado cuenta de que este estaba hasta hace poco, así que fuimos y vimos un partido. Fue muy concurrido y las mesas estaban todas ocupadas, pero amigo llegó temprano y nos dieron de alta. La cerveza es lo suficientemente buena, jarras, así como pintas, y teníamos algo de comida que era la típica comida de pub, pero todas descuidadas que necesita, hay muchos otros lugares donde comer bien o Chinatown, a 2 minutos a pie. Creo que todos los juegos son juegos fuera de nosotros aquí en ridículo o'clock y que siempre está lleno. En el casino, así que si el bar no te, las mesas podrían después! !

Le bar est moderne et propre, un choix de bières raisonnable, service agréable. Beaucoup d'écran et un écran géant au milieu de grande qualité. Le bar est situé dans le casino, il faut donc rentrer par la grande porte pour y accéder.

Just popped in for a pint whilst i Leicester Square. Carlsberg is one of my favourite lagers so I'm on a winner here. Staff are friendly and despite being on my own, I liked the atmosphere, though would probably return with a group of friend to really appreciate this place. Food looked good. Recommend!

Più di 20 televisioni e tavoli da ping pong e biliardo. Maxi schermo e multivision in tutte le sale. Prezzi delle birre contenuti. Molto meno sul cibo. Ma tutto sommato l'ambiente è ottimo!

Good venue for sports fans with an excellent menu for a business lunch. Booking in advance is a smart move as I imagine it'd be packed on match days.

Came here with friends as a couple of them have been here before. I must say I was impressed. The staff were friendly the drinks were reasonably priced and the food was awesome. Would definitely come back again and would recommend here.

Great place to watch game 7 (midnight-4 am). One tip: book ahead. There is a £10 minimum, but we had great seats for watching the game.

We booked a table for 8 hours, my friends arrived straight from the train in the morning so obviously they were carrying their luggage. They were told by the receptionist they couldn't store the bags there as the store room was full and for members only. When trying to reason with said receptionist she became rude and called over a member or the door security. In true big man syndrome style my friends were told "she's told you once there is no room so you'll have to leave" my friend was calm, not causing an issue, just asking if he could see the bar manager or even become a member so the bags could be then stored within the rules. The security guy still acting like a nob stated again "you've been told". At this point the bar manager actually stepped through and asked what the problem was. My friend explained we had booked a table 8 hours but just needed to store two bags until they could check in the hotel. "No problem, follow me" and they were taken to the EMPTY store room. I have no idea why the door mafia felt the need to be so unhelpful. The bar has many tv's so finding a seat with a view was not a problem but the seats are really uncomfortable and the movable stools are worse. The arm chairs look comfy but all were reserved. For some reason they decided to switch what each set of tv's was showing so to carry on watching what we wanted to we had to move seats. In short, the bad points of the day out weighed the good. What could be such a great place, providing a really good sports viewing experience. I'm afraid it's not up to standard. We won't be back.

Located inside the Empire building in Leicester square, we had booked a table same day over the phone to watch a football game (not a big match). They've got large screens and numerous screens around. It's my first time to be in a sports bar (not a huge fan of any sport) so I don't have anything to compare this to. Anyhow, I had a good time with friends. The food and alcoholic beverages are reasonably priced for a central London bar! I only tried the buffalo wings - its large and pretty decent. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Based in the Empire Casino on Leicester Square, this sports bar couldn't be more central. They have two large screens (made up of a matrix of 9 large lcd screens), and a multitude of other screens dotted around, that show all live sports you can think of. I've now been here at least 10 times, so it's about time I reviewed the place!It is always advisable to book here in advance, especially for the bigger matches or occasions. If you do that, then you're fine - but call them and ask them to send you email confirmation and they will.They offer table service for both drinks and food. The food (we go for the more snacky starter-style options to go with the beer) is actually good quality and reasonably priced for what it is. Mentions go to the Carlsberg beer-battered king prawns (6), which are massive and served with a wasabi mayo, the chicken wings (be careful of the 'burn ya rs off' sauce as it is quite potent!), and the buttermilk chicken bites. Note that the chicken wings are American-style, so you actually get both parts of the wing, the mini-drumstick and the wing itself, meaning a portion of 10 is actually 20 of what you would get elsewhere, and hence very good value.The drinks aren't cheap, but what do you expect from such a central location with a prime view of the sport you want to watch? The only thing I would add is that they add a 'discretionary' service charge to everything and don't advertise this - that would be almost fine for table service, but even if you approach the bar and hand over cash they will add it to each beer and you are none the wiser, until you check the receipt. This is pretty cheeky, they should be transparent about this and I have told them on more than one occasion. On principle, I ask them to remove it if I've had to queue at the bar, and they do that without question.In summary, it's a good choice to meet friends at a central location. Just book in advance, and try some of the hot snacks with the game. Enjoy!

Tried to book over the Internet to watch Champions League Final, nobody bothered to reply, so turned up on the night to be waved away being told members only.. Might be worth sorting another venue to watch sport yourself to avoid any disappointment on the policy they are imposing that day...

I do enjoy the Empire Casino for many years now. They really rotate too much most of the staff. We know this is London, but Im sure managers can do better than that. Also Hostest they are really cold and serious (anybody told them about a warm wellcome to guest and a thank you and hope to see you soon) please ...Thanks to all the staff who really looking after us and hope those ones contagious other to do a much better job !

Came here by accident to watch a premium league game and really liked it, good atmosphere, attentive staff, good view. Will definitely be back here for boxing and the euros

As far as sports bars go, there's only so much you can expect; a working TV, and beer on tap. The Carlsberg Sports Bar does not fail to deliver. Screens everywhere - with two very large ones. Yes it's crowded, yes it's noisy but the atmosphere is a actually is a great attribute to the ambience. Book in advance and it's the perfect sports experience. You'll get a table and clear view of one of the big screens. At the table, you'll dine, not on any old bar food, but probably the best bar food in the.... Staff are nice and friendly, and security ensure drunken fools stay out. The crowd varies. Tourists mixed with rich bankers, and small teenage groups, as well as a few couples dotted around. Good venue to take your partner - but ideal for a group of friends wanting some bar snacks and decent beer.

During a recent stay in London, Australia was playing NZ in the cricket. Visited a number of bars and pubs around Covent Garden and could not find one playing the cricket. Came across the Carlsberg Sports Bar and was able to watch the game on the big screen. As part of a casino, the atmosphere is not as good as good as other places, however to watch a match that can't be seen elsewhere , this is your place!

First things first... If you are thinking about going to watch any sport here.... Phone up and book with reception. We visited here last week to watch the MLB World Series between the royals & Mets. The game on the Saturday night started at 12:00am finished at 4ish. The Sunday night game started at 1 and finished just before 6am. We had booked seats so had a great view, comfy seats and table service, we also ordered food from them and this was a really good quality as well from chicken wings, to sliders, popcorn, fish n chips to steal on the menu. Great atmosphere and staff were good and quick at crazy o'clock in the morning.

The stools were the most uncomfortable that I have ever sat on in a bar. I've been to many sports bars around the world and I've never experienced so many restricted views of the other screens. One of the pleasures of a sports bar is to watch multiple events but this was not possible. Also for at least three quarters of an hour before the England and Australia match all that was shown were Carlsberg ads..no build up to the match..several people were ejected from the seats that they had occupied for the previous couple of hours with no warning...surely not beyond the realms of forward thinking to advise customers that the seats had been reserved from 8 pm onwards...the food was good but I don't go to a sports bar for the food. Finally..I don't want to be asked every time I order a drink "do you want to make that a double?". One of the staff asked at least five times before my silence got my message through. A lot of work to do here Carlsberg

Watch out, this bar lets you sit at a table a few hours before a big game and then, when you've spent a few pounds, ordered dinner, they slap a reserved notice on your table and tell you, you have to leave before kickoff. No apology just told when you query the notice that the table is booked - not even an offer to move you to somewhere else. Nothing - this was the most incredible service experience of my life.

My sister booked a table for my birthday to watch the England game on Saturday. Wow the table we were given was fantastic!right in front of the big screen with our own big chairs and tables. The food was good as was the service. A bit slow later in the night but it was busy! Good selection of drinks. The casino was great fun after as well!

Just eaten a burger having waited for an incredible amount of time. Chips were cold.Burger was hardOne piece of lettuce.Extreme thin tomato. Burnt bacon. Staff have no clue who has ordered what. I sent back my order at least three times. I would have sent it back if I had the time to get something else.

Came here to see the Monaco GP. Smart bar, clean and not too rowdy. Screen was great, bit difficult to hear the sound. Picture breaks quite frequently. Service was a bit slow and not especially friendly. Don't order the veggie platter, it was pants. Stick with the burgers/wings. Not much on offer for vegetable-eaters. Tea was good. Coffee was poor. Value for money was not exceptional. Atmosphere is a bit bland, but seating options good and comfortable. Would come again.

When most people go to sports bars, they are concerned about two things, sports and beer. Luckily, this place had them both in abundance. I visited this place last year for the grand national, and have been coming back again and again since. First of all, there are several television screens covering a vast array of sports. It doesn't matter which sport you come to see, it will be played. Secondly, the beer is great with a pitcher coming in at reasonable London prices. You can get 4-5 pints depending on how much of a man you are when it comes to pouring. Finally, if the bar itself doesn't convince you, then right below is a casino. Not just a rip off cashino, but a genuine casino with games galore. Minimum bets are installed, but it is still a great day out. It's a shame the good olds days of indoor smoking, wearing trench coats and fedora hats are gone, because this would be a great place to bring them back. If I had to sum this up in terms of football players, then I would opt for Andrea pirlo. The amount of screens to match the Italians vision and the class for his fashion.

The people I met here were really interesting but if your phone is dying or you need to plug your laptop in to work this is not the place to come to... They may have plugs under every table but the bounces will tell you to unplug your goods which I think is insane since there was a table next to me where the men were arm wrestling and knocking over bottles, no breakages but no warnings either. So this sophistcated looking place is perfect for loud yobos but don't ever try to charge your phone.

I'm surprised at the negative reviews this place has received to date.We were in the Covent Garden area, and wanted to catch some of the Federer v Del Potro match in the ATP tennis at the O2. Bars we went into had rugby, soccer, even ice hockey (it was a Canadian bar!) but no tennis.Searched for sports bars on foursquare and walked up to Leicester Square for this. It's downstairs in the Empire casino. At 4pm on a Saturday afternoon, they had England rugby, Chelsea v WBA, Sky soccer Saturday and the tennis on the four main screens at the bar, and they were receptive all the time we were there to putting different events on around the wider area.There was a great atmosphere, with different groups watching the various events, and cheers going up all over the place. Inevitably, stag groups were there too, but they added to the fun without being out of control.Carlsberg products are particularly well priced, but there's a choice of other beers also. Plenty of seating, easy for a group to get a good space, it'll certainly be a first port of call for me in future if I'm in the centre of London and there's sport on TV that I just have to see.

I'd read online that this was one of the best places in London to watch the Formula One. I called in advance and I was assured that the Grand Prix would be shownVery pleasant inside the bar and comfortable sofas. The Grand Prix was put on the main screen shortly with the sound on shortly after I arrived, 20 minutes before the start of the races.I asked for a cup of tea at the bar and was told that I need to ask one of the waitresses in the pink blouses. I didn't see one in the Carlsberg bar for the three hours I was there.I went to the main reception outside and asked if there was anyone on the cafe. I was told it was closed and to ask in the casino bar.I went in the casino bar and asked for a tea. I was told that the hot water wasn't working and the barmaid couldn't leave the bar on her own. I eventually settled for an orange juice.After 40 minutes of the race, without any warning it was turned off the main screen and the football was put on instead! The F1 was relegated to a small screen with no sound. The dozen or so people watching the race were miffed and when one guy asked, a member of staff said "we've advertised the football so we have to put it on". Nobody was there to watch it when the game started. Some people left and some people (myself included) put up with the small screen and no sound.I plugged my phone into a socket by my table just to charge it, and was then told by what appeared to be a manager that I wasn't allowed. I double check just to be sure, and he assured me it wasn't possible.To give a balanced view, the food looked quite good and the drinks were reasonably priced for central London. The bar is nice and the toilets were spotless. Also had free wifi. But the service was cold, poor, and left a lot to be desired. And yes, I work in customer service.I had high hopes for a place in Leicester Square but I left disappointed and won't be going back. If someone knows of a pub in London that regularly shows the F1 properly, ie not having the football on, please let me know!

Probably the worst pint I've ever had... and I'm not joking. Went here to watch the Arsenal v Swansea match at the weekend. The bar was packed and they had one person serving drinks which took forever. When we finally did get served the pints were flat and had no head on them. It really was the most horrible pint I've ever had. When I sent mine back, the bar woman just served it back out to somebody else!! I'm not sure why I paid for the second pint cos it was just as bad. Avoid..

it's ok but really expected a lot more in terms of experience, was really just an average bar with a large screen. The Empire Casino feels a bit shabby and tired these days and the staff all seem fairly disgruntled. Food good but wouldn't say anything really stood out and won't be rushing back.

Watched China F1 which was broadcast at 8am. Despite being a 24/7 casino and in the Carlsberg bar they did not sell any alcohol. Also because they were 24/7 we were constantly interrupted with hoovering and cleaning. I would expect the atmosphere would be much better after midday but even still it was a poor show.

Annoyingly couldn't open a tab as I wasn't a member of the casino, although this is free and I could have become one on the night so no big deal. Beers were reasonable and there is a decent selection of beer and spirits, NOT JUST CARLSBERG. Menu is very limited on a football night and was a bit expensive as fries etc are considered a dish. Even tho they advertise a number of different events, and on our visit more than 1 football match, they only have one jumbo screen showing their choice of match with commentary so if you want another match its just a smaller side screen in silence for you. Overall it's ok but probably better bars to go to.
