I came here for lunch and I was under whelmed. The service was not great. We were sat down at our booked table for 10 mins before someone asked if we would like a menu. The food was average and the potatoes I ordered arrived half way through my main. I was hoping for far more. Disappointed.

A lively bar downstairs, several outside tables, and nice rooms with well-spaced tables upstairs where you can meet and be able to catch up and have a conversation. The service was excellent, unobtrusive but there when you were looking to order, drinks and food came out soon after ordering. A few minutes walk from Marble Arch Station (Central line tube station) or the southern end of Edgware Rd (buses go north from here to Paddington station). A good choice of pub, would definitely recommend it.

I used to be a regular when living in London… team is completely different. They refused to give me a table at the back protecting it was booked while nobody came the whole time I was there and 35 min after the supposed “booking”. When I ask the bill, I was charged for charity without being asked my permission if I wanted to contribute financially to their scheme! They charge you an horrendous 15% service charge on top! Prices have increased & quality of food & customer service went extremely down! I shall never return to this place. CROOKS!

We stayed at the hotel for six days, and this review is strictly about the hotel experience. I think the hotel has high potential to become an excellent option to stay in London, especially given the great location and the generally nice rooms, if a few issues would be addressed. First, there is very little service provided (the pub people are in charge of providing services to hotel guests, but their priority is clearly to deal with the busy pub). Second, there is no attempt to integrate the hotel business with the pub. Since the pub serves breakfast, offering breakfast as part of the hotel deal would be one way to better integrate the two (as we have seen in other pub & hotel places in the UK). Third, the absence of an elevator in a five-floor building needs to be reflected in the hotel info (and the pricing). And fourth, given the absence of air conditioning, the attic rooms can be unpleasantly hot even in London given ongoing global warming.

Just back from an evening meal in the pub at the grazing goat. All good except for the price which was £196 for three people to have a 2 course meal (in a pub) with the equivalent of a bottle of house wine and 2 pints of lager, which seemed OTT and at least £50 too much. This included a 15% service charge rather than the usual 12.5% (which even seemed to apply to an added charity donation). Options chosen were generally the lower priced ones except one starter was burrata at an eye watering £15 plus the added bonus of an extra £5 to have some bread to eat it with. So including service charge it was £23 for a simple starter that should have cost half that. I mentioned that this was unreasonable to the waiter who acknowledged the point but didn’t offer any adjustment. Of course, the GG is busy with lots of well off customers, so they don’t need to worry about value for money, but if no one calls out excessive charging then they have free range to keep doing it.

The grazing goat is close to where we live, we come mainly for drinks which we love but not often for dinner and whenever we do it’s a little disappointing. I prefix this by saying it’s a great pub for the ambience, beautiful interior and super friendly and efficient staff however the food is a mixed bag…our rib eye steak was delicious but the duck was a bit tough and lacking flavour and the single scallop for £11.50 is getting to silly prices even for Marylebone. The menu feels generally overpriced for what you get and at the current quality we won’t be rushing back.

I booked two nights as went to BST in Hyde Park. Location was what I booked more than anything, & in this it didn’t disappoint. I ate once in the restaurant. I found this average at best and overpriced for what it was. The room was up approx 36 steps. It had a wooden floor which didn’t help with sound insulation. As it was the floor above a restaurant and bar it was noisy as expected. The entrance into the shower cubicle was tiny and the bed was comfy. On the whole I would recommend based on location.

Another restaurant that is shooting above it's pay grade. Would certainly be bankrupt in any city where people know what good food is. 3 cheese toasties with barely any cheese, scrambled eggs that are anything but scrambled eggs only the wild mushrooms are saving this dish, while poached eggs on muffins are overcooked and overpriced... The dining room has a nice brasserie vibe but that's pretty much the only Pros of this place along with location. Avoid if you don't want to feel ripped off and still hungry when leaving.

I’ve only visited the grazing goat pub for dinners and drinks. The food there is always superb. Also love the outdoor terrace for aperitif. The service there is normally quite good but I had a strange experience last Sunday. Few friends and I were having drinks at an outdoor table. We were ordering another round of drinks and snacks. Our server took my order and repeated it afterwards and I went back to my conversations with friends. After she took everyone’s order she asked me for my order again and I responded and went back to my table conversation while she blurted out, “you shouldn’t speak so fast, I couldn’t hear you.” It was very strange cos she’s heard me the first time and she was writing things down on her notepad. I wasn’t sure what happened there and just ignored the comment and assumed that she had to work through a hangover. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are 2 seniors on our first London trip from the US. Reserved in advance because I’d read on Facebook this is a hugely popular and very good venue and I wanted my husband to have his first ever full English breakfast. He was quite pleased I think. I had the scrambled eggs with mushrooms with a side of bacon and it was good although the crust on the brown toast was hard and quite inedible. As another reviewer mentioned, the toilets are located down a flight of stairs which was difficult for us but I guess can be expected in old buildings like this. I did not however expect the exorbitant price, over $81 USD with the exchange rate which included an automatic 15% gratuity. It was a good breakfast but not THAT good! If I could have a do over I think this venue is probably best for a late lunch or dinner.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We came for dinner as a group of 6 adults and 4 kids aged 7-11. The restaurant is smart and intimate but also relaxed - our children were made to feel very welcome. The food was all delicious. The menu has a good mix of dishes - plenty of interesting items that you don’t often see elsewhere, but also steaks, burgers and fish and chips for those with less adventurous palates. Our group especially enjoyed the flat iron steaks and the beef shin. The desserts were all well received, from the high quality chocolate Easter special to the sorbets with unusual and interesting flavours. The service was just right, attentive but not overly so. Our 10 year old daughter with four different allergies was very well looked after - her order was checked with the kitchen, she could customise it, and they were careful about getting her the right ketchup as well. The staff handled it all with confidence which made us feel very safe. We had an excellent time and will definitely plan on going again. Thank you!

With restaurants, I look at five categories: Price, Taste, Speed, Customer Service, Ambiance. This place lost on Taste. Customer Service was 50/50 but I'll round up. I ordered the English Breakfast (£17.50) I don't think this was better than some of those boutique breakfast places in the USA that are a half step above Denny's or iHop. That doesn't mean it was bad, just not what I was expecting. Especially the sausage. Tasted a bit cheap. The waiter was using my table for his meal before I came in (I made a reservation and there was no other customers in). He quickly cleaned the table while asking if I wanted to sit there anyway as he moved his food somewhere else. He said I could choose where to sit if I wasn't comfortable. I didn't particularly care since he didn't make a mess, and everything got cleaned, but it was just weird. Food came out fast and the server asked me how everything was multiple times.

Moreover I took particular affront at being charged an automatic “climate change donation” on the bill separate to the mandatory 15% tip. What a cheek. I had it deducted. Not a good look imo; an intrusive and unwanted attempt to squeeze money for nothing out of the customer - there was no explanation of the purpose for the charge nor how it would be used. J'ai adoré l'endroit, c'est très joli, nous avons été très bien accueillis, installés et servis (et rapidement). Le full English Breakfast était parfait, et le rapport qualité prix m'a semblé excellent !

Highly attentive service for a gastro pub environment, but a few things could be better. My colleague chose the burger for his main course, but the patty was quite dry and overcooked. He was not offered a choice of cooking style at the point of ordering the burger. Whilst I appreciate that the venue is shared pub & restaurant, the bathrooms were quite messy with a broken toilet seat, so I would expect better presentation at this price bracket.

It was a really nice atmosphere in which to catch up with my friend, the food was really nice & not too expensive (for London!)

Lovely, if you do not want to sit downstairs in the pub make a reservation.

Food was average, service was OK. Won’t be eating there again.
