Came here for the pub and ended up staying for classic British pub food. Cocktails were on points and also had the steak meat pie which was divine. It was the special for the night but they also had chicken meat pie on their usual menu. The greens were a bit salty. Also got a side of olives and those were amazing, huge green olives with the perfect crunch. Great place to have some drinks and food!

Great service and location. Nice pub. Food definitely not worth the money. £41 for steak without proper colour. £30 for a bone in lump of bacon that was rock solid. Side of beetroot and hazelnut had a couple of nuts in it, and was lacking salt! You be your own judge from the photos. Wasn’t too pleased about it. Wine was nice.

And although they were quite busy the hostess was able to seat us in this lively pub. Service was excellent and we both enjoyed a salad, entree, and split a carafe of wine. The roast chicken was excellent; prices were reasonable for London, and although it was noisy we were able to hear each other across the table.

We ate dinner here and it was outstanding!! Incredible service (Denisa was our server - she couldn’t have been better!!) We ordered the chicken pie and steak and blue cheese pie - both were to die for. Handmade pie crust, perfect thickness, buttery deliciousness. Added a side of the winter sage squash - also delicious. For dessert, the sticky toffee pudding was rich and decadent, but my favorite was the fig creme brûlée - a must try!!!! So creamy and the perfect amount of sweetness, and the fig flavor was unique and amazing. Overall, 10/10 recommend! Not to mention a cosy, relaxed vibe.

We went for Sunday lunch, something we do there from time to time; where shall I begin? They have changed their plating and menu/cooking, neither for the better. Roast lamb was served in a pasta dish, a very uncomfortable platter for cutting meat, what happened to a normal plate? the lamb was generous in quantity but flavourless, the usual selection of roast vegetables etc was replaced by kale, only the potatoes remained. As regular customers, we had been sent an offer for a complimentary dessert, so the booking included the code. The manageress was hostile when we asked for this, argued that it was one dessert between two, and after demanding to see everything on my phone which she took and scrutinised slowly, eventually accepted that two desserts were in order. I chose the poached peaches, to come with some icecream and cream - this arrived in a coupe dish, hopelessly undersized for contents, which were already dripping down the sides and onto the table; there were 2 small pieces of peach in there, and a lot of icecream, so another unsuitable plating decision and an inaccurate description as I did not particularly want icecream but peaches. At the prices charged, in excess of £30 for any main, there are plenty of other places in Maryelbone that would do better and be more gracious.

We stayed at the hotel for six days, and this review is strictly about the hotel experience. I think the hotel has high potential to become an excellent option to stay in London, especially given the great location and the generally nice rooms, if a few issues would be addressed. First, there is very little service provided (the pub people are in charge of providing services to hotel guests, but their priority is clearly to deal with the busy pub). Second, there is no attempt to integrate the hotel business with the pub. Since the pub serves breakfast, offering breakfast as part of the hotel deal would be one way to better integrate the two (as we have seen in other pub & hotel places in the UK). Third, the absence of an elevator in a five-floor building needs to be reflected in the hotel info (and the pricing). And fourth, given the absence of air conditioning, the attic rooms can be unpleasantly hot even in London given ongoing global warming.

We ordered the shared charcuterie board for £30 for 3 to share. It came with a few pieces of cold meat, some nduja spread, a few small pickled onions and sun dried tomatoes and 4 small pieces of bread. All yours for £30. When I asked for a couple of extra pieces of bread (to make 2 pieces each) was told that “the kitchen will get very cross about this” and that it would also cost me an extra £4.75! Ridiculous. I declined the extra bread. Then the bill for dinner arrived. I’m sick of places - which in my experience to date has been limited to pubs owned by the Cubitts House Group - that not only add a charitable donation to your bill, without asking, but then also add a 15% “voluntary service charge”. The service was pretty average too. Where did 15% come from and when did certain pubs in London start adding this hefty sum? This is simply the US approach by stealth and in my view should be resisted strongly by all customers. With this approach, I will avoid Cubitts House pubs from now on.

Just back from an evening meal in the pub at the grazing goat. All good except for the price which was £196 for three people to have a 2 course meal (in a pub) with the equivalent of a bottle of house wine and 2 pints of lager, which seemed OTT and at least £50 too much. This included a 15% service charge rather than the usual 12.5% (which even seemed to apply to an added charity donation). Options chosen were generally the lower priced ones except one starter was burrata at an eye watering £15 plus the added bonus of an extra £5 to have some bread to eat it with. So including service charge it was £23 for a simple starter that should have cost half that. I mentioned that this was unreasonable to the waiter who acknowledged the point but didn’t offer any adjustment. Of course, the GG is busy with lots of well off customers, so they don’t need to worry about value for money, but if no one calls out excessive charging then they have free range to keep doing it.

I prefix this by saying it’s a great pub for the ambience, beautiful interior and super friendly and efficient staff however the food is a mixed bag…our rib eye steak was delicious but the duck was a bit tough and lacking flavour and the single scallop for £11.50 is getting to silly prices even for Marylebone. Another restaurant that is shooting above it's pay grade. Would certainly be bankrupt in any city where people know what good food is. 3 cheese toasties with barely any cheese, scrambled eggs that are anything but scrambled eggs only the wild mushrooms are saving this dish, while poached eggs on muffins are overcooked and overpriced... The dining room has a nice brasserie vibe but that's pretty much the only Pros of this place along with location. Avoid if you don't want to feel ripped off and still hungry when leaving.

I’ve only visited the grazing goat pub for dinners and drinks. The food there is always superb. Also love the outdoor terrace for aperitif. The service there is normally quite good but I had a strange experience last Sunday. Few friends and I were having drinks at an outdoor table. We were ordering another round of drinks and snacks. Our server took my order and repeated it afterwards and I went back to my conversations with friends. After she took everyone’s order she asked me for my order again and I responded and went back to my table conversation while she blurted out, “you shouldn’t speak so fast, I couldn’t hear you.” It was very strange cos she’s heard me the first time and she was writing things down on her notepad. I wasn’t sure what happened there and just ignored the comment and assumed that she had to work through a hangover. 🤷🏻♀️

We are 2 seniors on our first London trip from the US. Reserved in advance because I’d read on Facebook this is a hugely popular and very good venue and I wanted my husband to have his first ever full English breakfast. He was quite pleased I think. I had the scrambled eggs with mushrooms with a side of bacon and it was good although the crust on the brown toast was hard and quite inedible. As another reviewer mentioned, the toilets are located down a flight of stairs which was difficult for us but I guess can be expected in old buildings like this. I did not however expect the exorbitant price, over $81 USD with the exchange rate which included an automatic 15% gratuity. It was a good breakfast but not THAT good! If I could have a do over I think this venue is probably best for a late lunch or dinner.

Food was OK, service was attentive, jocular and convivial. However the acoustics are appalling leading to continual excessive noise levels. The noise level and ambiance is more sport's bar in full swing than pub dining room. I noticed when I entered on the ground floor that the noise level was high but thought it would be better upstairs where we were seated. It wasn't; it was just as loud. I tried other spots on the first floor to see if it was worth moving but all were equally loud. It also didn't help that our neighbouring table of tech bros were roaring, high-fiving and self-congratulating at extreme volumes....worse than any stag- or hen-do. We booked the Grazing Goat for dinner with friends from Australia visiting Europe so we could have a relaxed meal and catch-up. It was far from relaxing and the appalling acoustics meant we had to shout to hear each other.
