The Gallery in City of London, Westminster

I worked there in the 2010s during my studies. The boss was a thick bully. Apologies if the management has changed. Admittedly, a puerile review.

Great location, great service, quiet place with good background music, friendly staff and great beers! Advised!

The gallery pub is situated outside of pimlico underground station which is handy for kings cross, green park, and the jubilee line the pub itself is welcoming and the food is very good and service is fantastic and seating outside very nice pub 😀

Great staff amazing seating of course it's expensive 😁 but I don't go out much I guess it's the same everywhere.but if you are meeting someone I recommend it regards gino Fernandez

A cosy welcoming pub with good traditional food and drink in the heart of the Capital

Avoid. They have a one star hygiene rating. The staff will treat you like dirt. Avoid avoid avoid.

Absolutely NO when it comes to accommodation. The place is rated high on hostelworld somehow but I would suggest to stay away. Unfriendly staff, tiny crumbed Halls and rooms , with not so clean toilets and showers. Most doors are coded which means you need 2/3 codes to get to your bed and that’s if the door isn’t stuck at that moment. Cleaners just walk in in the morning before checkout times and start working around you which is very uncomfortable, but the peak is that “luggage storage” is just putting them on a pile of trash (!!!) under the stairs with almost inaccessibility and need to move seated costumers to receive them. Any other hostel on in the city would worth it more.

Great food and ales, has some tables that look like you are into your living room, cozy and comfortable. Just in front of Pimlico tube station.

We showed up for dinner and "the chef decided to close the kitchen early."

Fantastic experience! Kelly the bartender was so friendly!! Food was delicious and drinks were fairly priced. Staying in the hostel was safe & comfortable.

Visiting London for a weekend to see a play at the Victoria Palace, the location of the youth hostel is perfect. The value for money is excellent! We had privatized a room for 4 with 2 very comfortable bunk beds. The toilets are common and clean. Breakfast included in the price in the form of a buffet with a variety of choices. I recommend this super warm place and still reasonable in terms of price for London.

Shocking staff and shocking food, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else, anywhere else!

what a great affordable good old family run boozer staff are friendly and very helpful Nancy and Fred (daughter and Mum respectvely) go out of their way to make you feel welcome an excellent pint of Guiness and cant wait to try the food it looked brilliant working in London for a good few months and ive found a local that actually has locals not a tourist trap

Chap that greeted me was lovely but when told to other staff I had a voucher because I had 7hr delayed flight I felt like a inconvenience and this is not on.. It was not my fault I had to wait since 3am for a light for a 7hr delay since 6am but staff here made me feel like I was. I had the wing winger chicken or something like that, the fries were cold and chicken was dry. I went to pay my bill and yet given service charge on top of what I needed to pay. Yes for chap that saw me at beginning but rest of staff please be respectful of those that have the voucher we are not an inconvenience or someone off the streets even then treat people like you want to be treated.. Behaviour here was unacceptable... Be nice if not get out of the job

Second time staying here and it was lovely as always. The staff go above and beyond if you just ask and I always find myself sitting in the pub after a long day in the city. Such a wonderful place with fun and friendly patrons and good vibes. The location is incredible and super central and the rooms although small have privacy curtains. I love the little lounge area and the general respectfulness of the guests. I will definitely be back for my third visit soon!

Great location , The Scampi & Chips was awesome, Late evening beers were even better. Close to the Tate.

Great local pub to grab a drink, outdoor tables for nice days.

Such high hopes for this pub! They kept putting us off when we tried to order. They said they were too busy but wouldn’t just write down order to put it in when the kitchen slowed down a bit. That was weird to me. Felt a bit desperate of us to keep going to the bar to see if we could order. We eventually just left after my husband and I drained our pints. I’m sure this is not their usual but that was our experience.

Food was nice good atmosphere although food was quite slow to come out. Edit: came back here a few months later (21/7/24) and they served me a half pint in a very dirty glass - food stuck to the inside which we didn’t notice until I had almost finished it. The lovely American (I think she’s American? Sounds like it!) bargirl gave me a free pint as compensation! Thanks!

The way the staff spoke to people in here was absolutely disgusting. Fortunately I've not got a bad word to say at the food which was actually very good. But the behaviour from staff was nothing but unacceptable, rude and down right awful.

Quite welcoming place, clean. English spirit. Bartenders are not very attentive to details...

Went for lunch and ordered lasagna chips and salad, the lasagna was disgusting it was one of those frozen ones from the supermarket and they couldn’t even cook that right it was burnt around edges and cold in the middle and so small and flat like a pancake. The salad was just a lot of lettuce and hardly any dressing and my chips were soggy

Went there for dinner and were given excellent advice, especially when it came to choosing a drink :)

Love the layback attitude of this local pub/boozer. Complete with chatty barmaid and an eclectic mix of worn out sofas. The upstairs is also a hostel.

This pub is in an ideal location between Pimlico Station & the hotels on Belgrave Road SW1V. Handy for a place to stop for a drink or some food before turning in for the night. Food was good value for money and the staff were extremely kind to my neice who was with me. Highly recommend.

This pub used to be great. But now they choose to play football on the TV which couples and drinkers don't want. Soon as pubs realise it kilks them off the better. They even ended up having homes under the hammer on. PLAY THE MUSIC like you used to do!!! Have the football on but have it on silent...and this is coming from someone who goes up and down the country watching live football every week!!

Great pub with friendly staff. Proper London pub

Not our most enjoyable meal in London. The description in the menu doesn’t match what hit the table. The salmon was so small for a main, and French fries aren’t sautéed potatoes. No sauce in the chicken wrap. Taste was meh. Not one to give bad reviews, also not one to send people to a pub where others would be disappointed. Go for the beer here, not the food.

This is a local pub... more ofvs neighborhood place. Homely setting and very warm and welcoming.

How many pages of praise can I leave these people? Kelly befriended me the moment I walked in the door and began teasing me. Gina invited me to live with her, we had such fun together. Charles saw me walking through with a bag of laundry and volunteered to take it and wash it. Kieran always smiled and never once got cranky, no matter how busy the pub was! Cassie prepared breakfast which was the most extensive spread I have ever seen in a hostel. It was free. The bottom line is that I absolutely loved each and every one of the staff members. I do not want to de-emphasize the strengths of the hostel itself. I stayed in a 4 bed unit which had AC which was controlled by the occupants of each room. Downstairs is a pub with excellent, reasonably priced food. (Order a burger.) Beds were soft. I am having trouble knowing what else to mention. Victoria line is across the street. Everything was thoroughly cleaned each and every AM. I awoke Charles (the owner) one AM at 4 AM because I could not get outside for a cig. He did not hurt me the next AM, nor did I get evicted. Laundromat is across the street as well as a fresh fruit market. Hopefully you have now gotten the idea that this is where you must stay!

The second time I’ve been here first time sat outside the staff was lovely and friendly up for a quick chat second time had the nachos again the service was really good the price was good and the lady behind the bar had great energy just what you need when you come to the pub can’t wait to try the roast next time after seeing great reviews 😀

Went with friends for Sunday lunch and was very impressed. Good food, great atmosphere, good selection of wines and beers. Very well run pub, will be back. Would happily recommend to anyone.

Amongst the best hostel stays I ever had, almost a Hotel except for the shared room. Breakfast surpassed expectations by far. Especially considering past experiences in Britain. Everything was clean and cozy during the full 3 days we stayed in. The location is perfectly central, with 20 min to the Parliament by foot and the Pimlico Tube and bus station right outside the door.

It was packed every time I went. But I want to point out a special person in your organization. Kelly 😊 I am an American who was on vacation (Holiday) in mid-July with my wife and we walked by your Pub and decided to go in. From the minute I walked in the door Kelly was GREAT !!!!!!!!! She greeted us with a warm welcome and said to sit anywhere we want. We chose the “comfy” brown leather couch in the corner by the 2 big windows. I went to the bar and asked her for the menu and about the specials and ordered some food and drinks. She came over with the drinks and set the table with silverware and then talked to us for a little while. She was very funny. We told her we were on Holiday and asked some questions about the area and how to get on the Tube. She gave us a lot of information about the area and spent some time just talking with us and that really made us feel comfortable. My wife still mentions how nice Kelly was. She went to do a few things but kept checking with us. I really liked the big TV playing some old videos from the 70s and 80s !! 😊 Kelly came back after the other young lady served our food (She was nice too). Kelly spent another few minutes with us after she checked if the food was good. She made us laugh and we talked a little more, she made us feel right at home. She was funny, and friendly, and very hospitable. Kelly was GREAT !!!!!!!! She is a “Gem” !!! Please show her this review and tell her that this couple was very happy to have met her and we really appreciated all of her help and her hospitality !!! Next time we are in London, we will definitely pass by for a pint and some good food and to speak with Kelly 😊 Sincerely Happy Customers

Lovely Sunday roast and excellent service. We'll be back.

Stayed in the hostel. Rooms were clean and had AC. The bar was lovely although we did not have any of the food. The owner of the pub and hostel was super accommodating, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. The continental breakfast was great and included: eggs, bread, cheeses, cured meats, tea, cereal, fruit. The hospitality was 10/10

Went here for a drink before getting on the tube home... It was a very warm day and needed a quick break. It's a bit of a strange place quite eclectic, a mix of all sorts.... It had a leather suite in the centre of the pub, a couple of water features, board games a bit of a mash up. I ordered a pint and a blackcurrant and soda.... The soda tasted of nothing so had to ask for more cordial... I mentioned to the barman that the soda was flat and his reply was "yes it's probably the taps" but didn't offer to change anything. Half an hour in and my other half suggested we go... But he had half a pint left... He said it tasted metallic and wasn't enjoying it so we left... Most unusual for him 😂 It was an experience

Old man boozer 2 mins walk from Pimlico station. Staff were friendly and got the job done. Were playing Red Hot Chili Peppers on the stereo and not to 'Give It Away' but there's better pubs in the area.

Stayed all over the world in hostels just spent a week in the gallery hostel for work and it’s definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in. Brilliant atmosphere clean good deals on food and the staff are so helpful.

After a tiring trip down from the North I needed a nice dinner nearby from my accommodation. With it being Friday night it was obviously busy but I just about managed to find a table and ordered my dinner at the bar. It took about 20 minutes to arrive but it was nice. I had Sweet Chilli Salmon with Rice and Chips which was delicious. If I’m nearby again I will return.

I've been in this pub during my trip in London, its a very nice and typical English local. I bought two beers that were served to me on tap, and we sat down to drink them in a beautiful atmosphere. Very quiet and particular place.

Wir waren während unserem London-Urlaubs mehrmals im Gallery und wurden sowas wie kurzfristige Stammgäste. Das Pub ist gemütlich und der Service kauzig aber auch freundlich. Gerne wieder wenn ich in London bin.

Really quite liked this little pub on the corner, seconds from Pimlico tube station. Met relatives and enjoyed the drinks and sitting outside. Comfortable inside too and not rowdy. The best thing about this pub for me is Leffe on tap. Great!!

Unfriendly staff…. Both of them seated at the table beside the bar all the time. When we asked for a drink at the bar one of them had a unfriendly face as she had to stand up an go behind the bar. People seated around us had the empty plates at their table for a long time. One of the tables was cleaned only after the guests left the pub. The food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. I came here other 2 times and we didn’t have this bad experience. Hopefully it’s one of. I will try to come back here again but I find it difficult. The visit was on June 19th.

The staff were more interested in looking on their mobiles than serving. The food that we ordered took almost 45 mins to arrive, and the pub was not even busy. The broccoli that came with the food was out of date pls see the attached picture. One other couple that had finished eating, and were left with the empty/dirty plates in front of them for also 30 mins. In the end they left. Date of visit 19 June 2022 1445

We stayed in the best western in Pimlico and stopped here twice for food on our way back to hotel having walked miles!! The food was stunning. Decent Price and the staff really accommodating- we would book again in the same area to eat here again! Thank you 😊

We just wanted to have a nice and comfy drink and food after a long and exhausting day and had to deal with the most unfriendly staff and atmosphere. The fact that they were so unfriendly ruined our evening. We do not recommend coming to the Gallery.

Dropped in for a bite to eat and a pint yesterday. Unfortunately the kitchen had closed at 7 pm, so decided to try and order some food via Uber. I’m not quite a technical genius so asked the bar staff for help, which they did graciously and without hesitation. Thanks guys ! Beer was good, pub was decent, and staff were great. Next time I visits, I’ll get in a bit earlier and try the food.

Stumbled in here after a very long walk around London and what a find! Friendly and efficient waitress, good covid standards with sanitizer on entry and at all tables. We had Sunday roast x 2, huge portions, well cooked beef and loads of sides. Beer and half of cider £23, great value, great food, great drinks.... what’s not to like?! We visit Pimlico fairly regularly so will be back!

Precioso pub de Londres, lástima de la comida. Tenía muchas ganas de cenar con amigos, pero fue decepcionante. Tuve problemas con la calidad de la comida, el servicio y las opciones limitadas del menú. Pedimos hamburguesas y una llegó tan tarde que casi me comí la mía. La calidad de la comida también debería ser mejor ya que mi hamburguesa no era muy sabrosa, no estaba lo suficientemente caliente y las patatas fritas estaban un poco retro. . . . . no las lindas y esponjosas papas fritas que he esperado estos días. El personal estaba sobrecargado pero no estaba demasiado ocupado. Al leer otros informes de AT parecería que ha visto mejores días, así que le sugiero que registre la fecha de la visita.

Excelente cerveza de barril y excelentes hamburguesas de carne hechas en el local. Este es un pub tradicional de Londres cerca de la estación de metro Pimlico. Llegué temprano por la noche, así que pude conseguir una mesa, pero se llenó más tarde. Excelente cerveza y comida y los dos por el precio de una oferta de "Burger Wednesday" fue un bono de bienvenida e inesperado.

Este fue un pub que la familia usó durante décadas, para almuerzos casuales y celebraciones especiales de cumpleaños de los padres. Ayer fuimos a almorzar por primera vez desde que cambió de manos. Tamara le dio una cálida bienvenida y el asado estaba delicioso. Había polvo espeso en las escaleras giratorias y la pantalla de champán. Las damas no estaban sonrojadas. También se quedaron sin Guinness, que no salió bien. Definitivamente necesita un poco de cariño. Lástima.

Excellent fish ‘n chips! Étant à Londres, nous nous sommes dit qu’il fallait en manger au moins une fois. Nous y sommes arrêtés pour dîner (midi) juste avant d’aller prendre le tube à Pimlico. Pas déçu, délicieux et panure croustillante et pas grasse. Le décor était typique de ce que j’imaginais pour un pub anglais.

This was close to our hotel so a convenient place for lunch.We sat there for a while and did not see any staff. I eventually got up to the bar and tried to call the waitress who eventually showed her face.My burger was ok but the fish and chips wasn't great. So a burger, a fish & chips and one beer was 40 pounds, not cheap so a very ordinary meal.

We live in Pimlico. Walked past this place for years. Never thought to pop in. So glad we did. Lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly. Food delicious. Would recommend fish and chips in particular. Very fresh fish. Chips homemade. Very good! Looking forward to bringing friends and family here.

We were visiting London from the US. We came upon this lovely pub while walking from the Pimlico station to our hotel. We enjoyed our meals and drinks and ate there several more times during our stay. A great pub experience!!

The Gallery is a quaint local pub. It was busy for a Tuesday night. Cosy and clean , great place for a drink or two.

Al hacer la conversión de libra a AUD, nos sorprendió un poco, pero encontramos esto en todo el Reino Unido. todavía disfrutamos nuestro tiempo allí
