This was our first visit. We'd booked a table to try their Sunday roast. The interior of the pub was surprisingly spacious, nicely decorated and had a large outdoor space at the rear. When we arrived we were told the beef was finished & there was only one portion of chicken left. When our food arrived it was not hot & was sent back. Both plates were drowning in almost black, thick, gloopy gravy. This was so salty I was unable to eat more than a few mouthfuls and my husband left much of his uneaten. We both ordered apple crumble & custard for pudding which was very nice.

Tucked round the back of High Street Kensington but worth finding. Lovely interior and great food selection. The braised beef pie was delicious and filling whilst the pan fried salmon was tasty but maybe a little dry. Shame the specials weren’t on the board. Only found out when the dinners next to us were told and would have preferred the sausages, but too late as we had already ordered.

Just wanted to show our huge gratitude to tonight’s manager Jose who saved our evening following the discovery that I had not fully completed the booking process of my voucher from Buyagift!! Jose kindly sorted this out using the voucher code and pin which I’d thankfully brought with me and we were then swiftly seated to enjoy our sumptuous 3 course meal with a seasonal cocktail. Throughout our meal, Jose checked in on us, infact we watched him providing attentive service throughout the restaurant. Gratitude also to our waitress Amanda who was very friendly and cheerful despite us beginning our dining experience at nearly 10pm!! So lovely to dine in such a welcoming restaurant, thank you very much and we hope to visit again soon!!

ordered through uber eats. they have the best mac & cheese i’ve ever had. their Ferrero Rocher milkshake was a 10/10. but i ordered a burger with no onions, and it came with 3 different kinds… caramelized, raw red onion, green onion. couldn’t eat it. update: got food poisoning.

The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. Took a long time to come and take our orders. Stood at the till for ages. I have a blue light card and showed the man at the till he said I needed to have my ID badge with me which I did not know about and my friend who’s had her blue card for ages has never been asked for her ID before. I explained was new and I could show my bank card which has same name as on blue light card but they said no had to be my badge. Would have been nice to know this before as it’s not stated anywhere. Food was ready I could see it but only one person serving food and some other members of staff walking round. It was very busy but still they could have had more people helping with serving so that food got out quicker and not left sat on the serving shelf for ages. Didn’t get served together so I had to eat my food in front of my friends and their children on my own while they waited for their food. This was even though we ordered at the same time. My friends made me eat it or would have gone cold as I wanted to wait. Very busy and noisy. I’m use to hearing the usual nandos Spanish music but couldn’t even hear it as people where so loud.

The food was OK but nothing special. Very little choice on the menu for vegetarians and despite going on a sunday for a roast they said they weren't doing them. We ordered kid's fish and chips which turned up as just fish. A side of chips arrived later but we weren't sure why and when we asked the bar staff they said that was for the kids and the chef 'just decided to do it that way'. I then ordered an additional side of chips which for £6 was pretty meagre although to be fair the bar staff had warned me it would be. It wasn't a surprise that they weren't busy on a Sunday and it was definitely a shame as the last time we went there it was for a wedding 2 years ago which was a really lovely experience.

Total GEM!! I must have passed this place a thousand times and only went in for the first time this week... Aaaaaah, so glad this kind of understated, unpretentious yet sparkly place still exists in London, never mind Battersea/Clapham. The website says it's 'a festival in a pub', I'd agree! (Didn't have food here, so can't comment.) After close inspection of my bank statement, I must say though that £7.20 for a pint is wayyyy too much (especially when there's no band playing that day)..!

The Waterway offered fantastic food, really good service, and even better management. I really recommend their steaks as it really was one of the best I had. The location was very welcoming, clean and elegant. On top of all of the above, what impressed me the most it was how management was able to handle an uncomfortable situation: During our lunch a mishap happened, and one of our personal items was damaged. Nonetheless, with extreme professionalism, the general manager Antonio, put effort in trying to remedy the situation, and proposed a satisfactory solution. I really recommend this place for its food, location and most importantly to the attention they give to its clients. An attention that I have never found anywhere else.
