The Rocket in Wandsworth

Walked here from Charing Cross station. Long way but worth it. Heard good things about the beer selection at the Rocket & it's location over Putney bridge on the river Thames. It's now one of my favourites. The pub has a nice feeling about it and the views of the river are lovely. It was very busy but you have the option to sit outside if you wrap up warm. Drinks were dirt cheap for London. White wine spritzer for the wife & a pint of Bud Light was £7.00. Ridiculously cheap for a city. Great selection of craft beers available. Stella was £5.45 a pint but I wouldn't have made the 6 mile walk back to Charing Cross after a couple of those!!!!! Food looked really good. We had a plate of chips to share for £4.50. Piping hot & the best chips I've had at a spoons. Number 46 will definitely get another visit next time we are in London.

Ultimate burger & boneless chicken basket is so good! Plus their unli coffee & hot choco!

Appalling attitude from a member of bar staff who after serving everyone else with their lunch order then disappeared and started washing up glasses instead of serving me. The mixed race male of staff needs to exceptionally improve on his poor attitude otherwise I hope he will be given his cards. He was a totally self-centred specimen of existence.

Best pub in london especially near riverside

A good wetherspoons pub with good beer and staff. Good views too but my one criticism is that too many tables packed in to the main section. Makes it a problem for staff and customers to move between tables but could be problematic in an emergency

Amazing value in a vibrant pub. Drinks and food were fantastic value and the venue had real buzz about it!

Standard Wetherspoons. The majority of the staff were very pleasant, a couple of prickly members that definitely need some re-training in customer service.

Very poor poured Guinness and probably watered down. Was slightly pale and bitter as!

Food is dodgy here came to the table really fast after ordering, but tasted like it was under the heater for a couple hours. Was sick later on that night

I went there Monday and got food poisoning from there chicken. Not been able to eat food since yet.

It was very busy as it was the boat race! Staff were very helpful, even when I got my table number wrong! Really helpful lady and gent! Would recommend and will be back again

Lovely venue with a river view. Food is good value but is affordable with reasonable price drinks.

My son and I visited with friends before and after a football match. The whole experience was excellent , and I would certainly recommend a visit if going to a match at Craven Cottage.

Have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is one of the best Wetherspoons in London! Food is always very good, never a problem! Staff are friendly even when busy. It is situated right by the river, which is lovely and the big windows give you a lovely view. It's comfortable but can get very busy! You can download an app and order from your table, which I find is much easier than trying to order at a busy bar. There is also seating outside for those sunny days. Great pub!

Would have been nice to have a beer but bar did not serve till 11oclock due to the flats above

I was very sick after having the fish and chips. I was vomiting and had diarrhoea for 3 days. It 4 am and I'm sitting in bed feeling sick.

Food arrived cold, i watched my food sitting on yhe counter for 10 minutes and when it arrived i sent it back, bar was worse, 5 people behind the bar, 3 customets at the bar,,bar staff vanished , like magic,, staff should be given a role,,stay at br or waitress with the food,, always the rocket never fails to dissapoint me, with bad service and cold food

Good basic food at a reasonable cost in a pleasant light atmosphere. Ordering food from the Wetherspoons' app is the best way to order without having to queue at the busy bar.

It's as good as any other Wetherspoon. You can order via QR code, easy food, quick delivery and cost effective. Pretty busy during the weekend.

Wetherspoons is Wetherspoons but this is a great location. Very spacious and the layout of the bar relies upon the use of the app. Very busy as you would expect but not bad 👍

It's a lovely location for a pub, just on the Riverside in Putney...when it's warm it's beautiful outside. Great food too...a little above the average Weatherspoons food...

Another fab visit to The Rocket, great breakfast on the banks of The Thames , lovely location, fab views. Also shout out to Luke, who helped me with 3 questions I had, & when he didn’t know the answer he went & found out & came back to me, polite & friendly throughout. Luke = Employee of the Week.

Peaceful and quiet environment, a good place to go for breakfast and/or brunch, quick to order via the app you just have to choose what to have and that's it.... As for the food it is absolutely not of quality , so if you want to eat something quick and cheap this is the right place.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, food service is great! I went with a few friends and compared to the other Wetherspoon locations, I think this one is my favourite:) Food price was less than £10 I got the burger meal with a soft drink and added halloumi's with it and paid around £8. I think that's a reasonable price considering that some other food places are way more expensive and low quality food.

You go there for the view and for the atmosphere. I work and study there

Food was cold no steaks and grills available or haggis (burns night) food came over quickly but not a lot of care with presentation

One of the better Wetherspoons I have been to. Located on the waterfront on the south side of Putney Bridge. Good service and atmosphere. The food is standard Wetherspoons menu with a good choice of dishes and well prepared.

The staff are wonderfully cherry and the coffee is great and endless and the food, although basic arrives quickly and is usually pretty good and the view is fantastic. I hope the staff get treated well by the management because they deserve it

It's a big spoons with a nice selection of drinks. Prices are very good for London and the location is nice down by the river. Often crowded to the point of making finding a table difficult and slowing down service considerably.

The food is cheap, which here means not quality at all.

Ordered a burger with chips, onion rings & a drink for just over £14. Food arrived without onion rings (they'd run out), and the smallest burger I've ever seen with 3 of the cheapest burgers inside, together with a small smear of ketchup & a couple of bits of diced onion. When I queried where the onion rings were I was told they'd run out (rather than giving me the opportunity to chose an alternative) & I'd been given extra chips. There were about 20 chips on the plate. When I said how poor value for money that was, I then got a defensive attitude off of the staff & was told "well that's what it is". Very poor experience.

Great Wetherspoons and only a short walk to the river or Half Moon.

By far the best Wetherspoons I’ve been to. Food is fairly priced, well made and service has always been good when I’ve been. I usually come for breakfast and I’ve never been disappointed. Great location and seating too.

They gave me small wings for the price I am paying 7 quid. I asked to replace my food but they said they can't replace my food because it comes like that from the packet. I even said can I get 2 wings to replace the small tiny wings they said no.

I recently visited Wetherspoons, a British pub, with a friend, and we were impressed by the exceptional food quality. The dishes were not only fresh and hot but also offered a diverse range of options. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Tikka Masala and Buttermilk Burger. The overall experience was delightful, and I look forward to visiting again.

It's okay as Wetherspoons go. Nice location by the Thames. The prices are inflated by the location so it's pricier than other Wetherspoons venues. Quality of the food is good, food was well-cooked and tasted good. Portion sizes were good. Service was okay. The loos were clean. Beer tasted okay.

Dreadful Young's cask beer and nobody around to agree there was a problem - just because you can see through the glass doesn't mean it's not far off being off ! Food was good though .

Pretty good branch of Wetherspoon. Service is decent and staff isn't very talkative but they are always ready for orders and quite fast. Their playlist is quite decent and for summer vibes it is a great place to grab a beer and some food as it is right next to the river where you can enjoy an extremely amazing view and also have a walk around. The rocket is also located in Putney so it is really easy to get to to from either putney bridge station or Putney stations and there are a lot of food places or other bars around if you wanna do a pub crawl.

Everything great, as a picky eater I often find myself leaving food items form the breakfast but the staff were very accommodating to special requests and the kitchen executed them perfectly, clean plates from me today. Real nice

Thursday 16th November We went for lunchtime meal a Irish lady behind the bar on her own customers were waiting long time to get served she kept apologising she was on her own we ordered 3 meals and 2 came up and the other one a pasta dish 15 minutes after what was warm and small to the price we paid so she refused to eat and was told to take back to bar for refund ..I really think there was not.enough cover at this time of day in the pub and we didn't enjoy our visit at all

Ordered a dessert on the app. Waited half an hour and nothing came. Went up the bar to enquire and barmaid said she'd see what was going on. Seems she lost interest straight away as she just went back to serving other customers. Went back to my table, waited another ten minutes, got fed up then went back to the bar to get a refund. This first barmaid suddenly seemed to remember what she said she'd do and disappeared before I could get the words "I want a refund" out. Had to be done by another member of staff. I know full well the order went through because I ordered a beer at the same time and that came. Never had such terrible service in any Whetherpoon I've been in. No explanation only a "sorry". Won't be returning. Edit: Reading other reviews seems they've got form for food taking an inordinate amount of time to arrive. The place needs shutting down if they're unable to provide even the basics of what they are supposed to provide. It wasn't even that busy.

I have not eaten here but really like this pub. Service is kind of slow, more staff needed at busy times. Otherwise great atmosphere, I hear the food is good, and coffee refills at your pleasure.

One of the best views from a Wetherspoons (that I’ve visited). A variety of seating locations and layouts. I opted for a view of the Thames. Usual quick service and level quality that I expect in a “Spoons”. The location by the Thames is great.

Absolutely incredible food, brilliantly affordable prices and definitely worth the money!! And right next to the river so it's absolutely beautiful!! And very very hard working staff! The place has aged like fine wine it just gets better and better THR best spoons I have been to it's brilliant!

One of my favourite Wetherspoons. Right on the river just below Putney Bridge. The real bonus was the amount of craft beers they had in the fridge. Absolutely brilliant selection and very reasonable prices. I shall be back for more!

Ordered a large vegetarian breakfast. Noted after starting that there were no mushrooms and no hash browns. Asked a member of staff and was told they were out of mushrooms and hash browns so I was provided a single extra egg. One extra egg in place of the hash browns and mushrooms.....

Nice food and drink in a relaxing location next to the river.

My partner and daughters just had an absolutely awful experience. I dropped them off at 2130 as they wanted a late meal for my daughters 20th birthday and within 20mins they was told that my youngest daughter (15) had to leave!! Apparently she was not allowed to be there which is completely contradicting what their website states.. Child friendly. We have been there before with teenagers late, with no issue. On top of that, they inform me that one of the security people kept loitering around them making my young daughter feel very uneasy! If you don't what to be child friendly after a certain time, then maybe you should state that on your damn website!!

Easily the worst breakfast in London! A beautiful location ruined by a tacky franchise/brand, it felt like a dated airport lounge in a 3rd world country, with filthy menus, sticky tabletops, and zombie staff. JUST STAY AWAY!

Standard ‘spoons fare. Good location right next to Putney Bridge and the River. I’ve had nicer pints poured but you won’t find anything comparable to the low price in the area.

This is a very good Wetherspoons as of Septemberr 2023. It is one of the more consistent of the group. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Usual range of good food and drinks, all served well. Will return soon.
