Typical family pub to eat or have drinks at affordable prices

Popped in for some lunch with my wife and 3 children, food was delicious but could’ve been a bit hotter. Upon welcome to the pub, we recieved a warm welcome by two young girls behind the bar both called Molly, whom were very accommodating to our needs. They were incredibly friendly and chatty great customer service provided. Highly recommended

On a sunny day, the location by the Thames is great. Half the price of other pubs and Wetherspoon drinks are actually amongst the best (probably cause they sell so much the beer isn’t stale), what’s not to like

Drinks are over twice the price than other wetherspoons for the same drink, unnecessary and just taking advantage of london

By far the best Wetherspoons I’ve been to. Food is fairly priced, well made and service has always been good when I’ve been. I usually come for breakfast and I’ve never been disappointed. Great location and seating too.

An unusual location for a 'Spoons by the side of the River Thames. Pleasant and quick service when I popped in, with no problem to try an ale before i bought. I also had a Hazy Jane with the chicken wing basket meal. Less than £15 for two beers and a meal by the riverside.

I haven't been here for years. A colleague recommended that I go in for breakfast. The breakfast was good and so was the price and the staff are lovely. I definitely will go back for my brake and also in the evening on my days off.

Good wetherspoons- quite noisy hen and stag do pub but good all the same

So bad news for this pub, it’s no longer licensed as a pub but a restaurant!! So you can’t get booze before 12pm on a Sunday, guessing it’s the same in the week.

A great riverside pub with super views. I enjoyed my breakfast before heading off for the Thames Bridges Trek!

Classic weatherspoon food and drinks with An amazing view of the river and the sunset.

Nice spot for a drink or bite by the Thames. The food is reasonably priced and they have offers on their pub classics between 2-4pm - so we only paid £9 for the Fish & Chips which included a soft drink. (Or you can pay a little more to upgrade it to an alcoholic drink). As with all Weatherspoons, you can order via their app.

Nice spot by the river but think they got the fish from the Thames that afternoon. And yes, that is a fish, not a triple battered croissant.

Reasonable food for the price and all was served hot. Table service via app was fast. Its a Weatherspoons, and it's very good for the prices they charge. There is no parking close to this one as it's on the Riverside. Plenty of outdoor seating but can get full quickly, especially in the evenings

Spicy chicken wrap and chips with a drink £7 not bad. Nice area to sit outside by the Thames.Staff were friendly and helpful.

What a great Wetherspoons. The prices seem about right £1 higher than other Wetherspoons in south London but I expect that’s because of the posh area it’s in. Great riverside location with outdoor seating overlooking the Thames. Order through the app to get food and drinks delivered to your table.

Quick drink before we continued on our journey.

Popped in for a pint after a day exploring Putney and the surrounding area. Nice Spoons with tables and indoor seating overlooking the Thames. The bar is oddly tucked away at the rear of the pub behind the kitchen and, once you've bought your drinks, you have to navigate the narrow-ish passage ways to get all the way to the main seating area at the opposite end of the pub. Probably best to order via the app from your table!

Great beer selection at reasonable prices. (We did not eat here.)

First time tried out this place. Nice atmosphere inside and outside seating. Nice meals at reasonable price from the usual Wetherspoons menus.

Great location Great Value for money

It's a Weatherspoons so there are no particular surprises with regards to the food or drink offering. It's USP is the location by the Thames and that there are plenty of tables outside to dine when the weather allows. For this reason it is worthy of a visit.

Poor service, unfortunately left my bag the previous night. Phoned up and was told to come the following day. Travelled a while to get there and was told they didn’t have time to go into the back to get my bag as the bar was busy. Options were to wait 3 hours or come back another day.

Food was excellent and staff where very polite service was very good

Took some friends here who were visiting from Australia. They were very impressed as was I. Family of five fed on a budget, and drinks also.

Lovely wetherspoons, right by the river ,with ample seating outside , lovely in Summer, sitting by river , large inside seating area also ..

We had a lunch in Rocket with a friend of mine. We have used the app to order some food and drinks. Service is very good and friendly. The food is tasty and reasonably priced for location. I had a jacket potato with tuna and salad on a side. It's a very good location overlooking the river Thames. Drinks a flowing, we had a fantastic time. Thank you to all the staff anc the manager. We will be back soon.

Riverside pub with all the standard Wetherspoons fayre

WS is evergreen as always. But recently I have experienced beer quality degrading.

Absolutely disrespectful and rude staff. Only one guy was actually nice to me.

It was a nice pub I didn't know it was there and I used to live in that area lol staff very friendly that's unusual for a Witherspoon's pub will visit again

Great food and service, chairs and tables outside are a bit rickety but adds to the spoons atmosphere.

Would give zero if I could. Went there for birthday drinks thinking it would be fun. Cocktail pitchers watered down big time. Ordered food they couldn't even be bothered to cut the pizza which was bland. Manager was rude because we were celebrating in a pub on a Saturday night... go figure. Would never go there again.

In here for a few brews and and a gossip. Nice airy place with plenty of seating inside and out right on the Thames.

Great quiet location next to Thames, just behind the Putney Bridge church. Especially good in the morning and evening. Plenty of seating inside and out. Note the actual bar is somewhat hidden on the left side when you enter. Usual good value beers and everlasting machine coffee. Couldn't see any parking. There's also a few more eating places on the east side.

A clean, safe and attractive pub with attentive, friendly service and decent food. It's a Wetherspoons, so there aren't going to be any surprises. The food is decent and affordable, but not outstanding. It's not going to win any Michelin stars, but I've never had a bad meal here. Solid selection of guest draughts and regular beers. Affordable prices for London and Putney. Service is attentive and normally quick, but the Rocket can get busy at times, especially in the early evenings. Great patio that overlooks the Thames and Putney Bridge but it does not get much sunlight. The men's loo is checked on frequently and is normally clean. I've never seen any trouble at the Rocket, but there are door staff present at night. I've recently moved into this area of Putney and it seems I frequent the Rocket more.often than other nearby pubs.

Food, service and drinks excellent and couldn't be faulted. Only given 4 stars though as feel need a bigger space outside to stop discriminating against people who wish to smoke. Only 4 tables in the smoking area isn't enough by a long shot. If it was 50/50 then fair enough, but it isn't. Please stop people being forced to make decisions they shouldn't have to make

Communist prices. I love this place! Order and pay by quar code, always noisy and fun, view of the river and transparent walls, a lot of tasty and cheap beer

Came here for breakfast. Wanted somewhere to chill whilst waiting for processing of a visa. Wanted somewhere by the river and this place didn’t disappoint. Got eggs benedict and hash brown and orange juice which came to £8.13. Got good view to go with it. Toilets were clean also. All in all this was a nice Wetherspoons. Staff were also friendly and checked everything was ok. Good service.

Walked here from Charing Cross station. Long way but worth it. Heard good things about the beer selection at the Rocket & it's location over Putney bridge on the river Thames. It's now one of my favourites. The pub has a nice feeling about it and the views of the river are lovely. It was very busy but you have the option to sit outside if you wrap up warm. Drinks were dirt cheap for London. White wine spritzer for the wife & a pint of Bud Light was £7.00. Ridiculously cheap for a city. Great selection of craft beers available. Stella was £5.45 a pint but I wouldn't have made the 6 mile walk back to Charing Cross after a couple of those!!!!! Food looked really good. We had a plate of chips to share for £4.50. Piping hot & the best chips I've had at a spoons. Number 46 will definitely get another visit next time we are in London.

Ultimate burger & boneless chicken basket is so good! Plus their unli coffee & hot choco!

Appalling attitude from a member of bar staff who after serving everyone else with their lunch order then disappeared and started washing up glasses instead of serving me. The mixed race male of staff needs to exceptionally improve on his poor attitude otherwise I hope he will be given his cards. He was a totally self-centred specimen of existence.

Best pub in london especially near riverside

A good wetherspoons pub with good beer and staff. Good views too but my one criticism is that too many tables packed in to the main section. Makes it a problem for staff and customers to move between tables but could be problematic in an emergency

One of the best Witherspoons I've been

Amazing value in a vibrant pub. Drinks and food were fantastic value and the venue had real buzz about it!

Standard Wetherspoons. The majority of the staff were very pleasant, a couple of prickly members that definitely need some re-training in customer service.

Very poor poured Guinness and probably watered down. Was slightly pale and bitter as!

Food is dodgy here came to the table really fast after ordering, but tasted like it was under the heater for a couple hours. Was sick later on that night

I went there Monday and got food poisoning from there chicken. Not been able to eat food since yet.

It was very busy as it was the boat race! Staff were very helpful, even when I got my table number wrong! Really helpful lady and gent! Would recommend and will be back again

Lovely venue with a river view. Food is good value but is affordable with reasonable price drinks.

My son and I visited with friends before and after a football match. The whole experience was excellent , and I would certainly recommend a visit if going to a match at Craven Cottage.

Would have been nice to have a beer but bar did not serve till 11oclock due to the flats above

Have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is one of the best Wetherspoons in London! Food is always very good, never a problem! Staff are friendly even when busy. It is situated right by the river, which is lovely and the big windows give you a lovely view. It's comfortable but can get very busy! You can download an app and order from your table, which I find is much easier than trying to order at a busy bar. There is also seating outside for those sunny days. Great pub!
