4 of us visited from the West Midlands to watch the Villa game at Fulham, we visited last season and loved it, this time was even better, food was superb, my fish and chips one of the best I have ever had. Our waitress was a credit to you, I just wish I had taken her name. There was a lovely atmosphere and a great mix of people, we loved it.

We went for a Sunday roast and the food was just excellent! Best Yorkshire puddings in south west! The ambience is super cozy and perfect for an autumn or winter day!

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The Bavette steak was fantastic. Also had the chill squid that was also very good.

I really enjoyed this pub, and I will definitely come back! Excellent service and an incredibly pleasant atmosphere. The food and drinks are absolutely delightful! The staff takes great care of every guest, making the experience even more enjoyable. The pub is clean and very cozy. Without a doubt, this is the best pub in London that I have ever visited! ❤️❤️

We've been here twice now. Brought our pup with us. Super dog friendly. Really nice, comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff. We had the Sunday roast both times. The £48 giant yorkshire roast for 2 is amazing. Definitely recommend and would come again!

Booked a table for 15 people on Saturday 31st August 2024, food was excellent, it was for a surprise 70th birthday. Great service we will definitely be going back whenever we are in Putney again. Thank you Ava you were amazing.

I had my 21st birthday party on the terrace here and it was incredible. Such a friendly and accommodating team, great food and drinks and perfect location. Ava was super helpful over email when we were planning, and Ethan was super friendly and helpful on the night. Everyone who came was commenting on what a great location it was. Would highly recommend visiting the Spotted Horse if ever in Putney.

We popped for a roast on a Sunday and were really impressed. Hands down say this is the best roast in Putney. Mulu our waitress was really lovely too.

Staff were friendly but the cost of a pint (£7.25 for Peroni) has unfortunately priced me out of this becoming a regular local for me. There are plenty of pubs in the area that are easier on the wallet and still offer a good pub atmosphere. Unfortunately I didn't find the chairs as comfortable as they look (they need an "arm"). Regrettably I will not be back. As I said the staff were nice but I just felt ripped off with what was an average pint.

Brilliant food & service as usual. Fish & chips are better than the fish shops. We only come twice a year to meet my uncle, as we don't live locally anymore. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Party of 5 family all had meals and drinks. Four had fish and chips which was lovely albeit mushy peas was a bit weird! I had pork and fennel sausages with mashed Jersey potatoes which was lovely and whilst didn’t look much in terms of amount it certainly filled me up enough but left room for choc brownies which 2 of us had although big with ice cream, one was softer and moister than the other but still nice. Would go back if around that area. Thanks guys for nice service

Good food but woefully understaffed. Food took an ok amount of time but everything else was painfully slow.

We celebrated my Son's 30th Birthday on the roof terrace at the weekend. Lovely venue. Delicious food.The staff went above and beyond and couldn’t have done enough for us. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to hire for a private function. A very BIG thank you to all at the Spotted Horse. We had a lovely evening.

It is a fantastic pub. Delicious food (I had salad and partner the traditional pie), staff are super helpful and friendly. The manager - Eddie came over to ask if everything was alright and he got a water bowl for our dog - very dog friendly 😁 Will definitely come again and highly recommend this pub

Really delicious & great quality Sunday Lunch! We tried all of the meat options and all of them were cooked brilliantly. They didn’t skimp on the vegetables either! I had the roast chicken which came with bread sauce, roasted carrot, roast potatoes, cabbage, beetroot (which went so well with the dinner!) and a yummy gravy.

I booked the terrace area privately for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! What a great space and to have it all to ourselves with a private bar and bathroom. The service was great, they were so helpful. I had such a great birthday. Thank you to the team and Ava for helping sort everything and answer my questions when booking.

We had the mix Sunday roast for 2, It was 48 pounds but worth it!! Lots of delicious food !! 🙂 Our server was Anton and he was very polite and friendly!! He did a really good job!!

Enjoyed having lunch here on the first sunny day. I booked a table, but the majority of people hadn't booked. We were up on the terrace which has about 8-10 tables so is pretty small, but is well set out The food here is a little pricey for pub food but it was overall good quality. The service was attentive and friendly with both table and walk up service.

Great music on a Thursday. Lots of 90s/00s and 10s throw backs. Delicious food. Wine list could be a bit nicer as very acidic selection. Loads of different types of seating options (bar seat, sofas, corner chairs, tables). Nice vibes overall

Great pub! My parter and I live in Southfields but we've made the Spotted Horse something of a 'local' and perfect half way venue to meet friends based just over the river in Putney Bridge. Lively atmosphere (especially during 6 Nations Rugby!) really good food, and the staff are super friendly and efficient.

Fish and chips was awful: tiny fillet of burnt fish, chewy chips, and microwaved mushy peas. Staff asked me what I wanted to do about it then reluctantly swapped it for a burger which was much better. Overall good atmosphere and drinks, but better off going to a chippy for fish and chips.

I am a refugee from the Duke's Head where the service experience has descended into chaos over the past months. Yesterday at your establishment it was equally chaotic, with slow and haphazard service at the bar, over an hour's wait for the food and no sense or evidence of planned management. Notably, there were too few people behind the bar and serving. Yes it was a Saturday when FFC was playing at home. This was not a surprise as the team does that at least ten times each season. That's the negative. On the positive side the stretched staff were clearly doing their very best without effective leadership, were friendly and helpful, and understood that they were failing through no fault of their own. They stuck at it where others would have said 'Up with this I shall not put' and left there and then. The food was mostly OK. It's a pub and you go there for 'food as fuel' rather than a fine dining experience. It wouldn't take much to make it significantly better.

Great pub to visit before or after football! Very busy, but good service (thanks Anton!). Nice food. Reasonable selection of veggie/vegan options and our kids enjoyed their macaroni cheese and chunky chips!

very good Sunday lunch at a good price. My mum had child's roast which was more then enough. I had the adult portion and was struggling to finish it. Also very spacious inside and not noisy which makes a change. Good service.

The food and service was excellent as always. Great atmosphere and the background music is never too loud so you don't have to shout to have a conversation. ;)

Revisited The SH which was a local haunt in the 70/80s. Very pleasantly surprised at the changed and modern and comfortable interior. Very well looked after with table service and a great sausage and mash lunch and well kept ales. Good value too.

Great pub, good atmosphere, and Anton was a lovely, friendly server! Good banter.

We went for a late lunch. Phoned ahead to make sure we wouldn't be disappointed. We were greeted by Anton, who let us settle, brought us menus, took our Drinks order and allowed us time to select our Food from a really diverse menu. We placed our order and after a short while our Food arrived at the table. Anton was once again our server and he was very efficient and friendly with the service. The food was "GREAT ". Really tasty, a good portion size and beautifully presented.. We finished our splendid meal but due to the confines of time we couldn't stay for a sweet. We paid the bill, which was reasonable for the fare that we enjoyed. Everything about our visit was positive and good. Next time in Putney we will definitely pop in and allow ourselves more time to eat and drink at this lovely haunt.

Place is lovely. Ambience nice. My friend and I both had duck leg. Hers was good. Mine was very dry. Wine list mediocre. Rioja Reserva at £42 was cheap fruity Rioja.

We had our Christmas feast for staff, all the staff were extremely helpful and the food was really good, very large portions yummy!

The best Sunday roast around for miles

The food and drinks were excellent. We got a good choice and it was a good experience as not too noisy do we could chat in comfort.

Staff were incredibly accommodating and kind - absolutely no faults with service. Very patient I didn’t get their names but the two ladies that were on were lovely. Food was a bit cold, sort of tasty but the temp spoiled it, probably because we were booked in after the busy lunch time but the potatoes in particular were a bit powdery as they had gone cold - no crispness in sight. Also I believe it was a veggie or chicken gravy that came with the beef and it didn’t quite marry up well. Would have appreciated a kids desert menu and all of the ice cream was vegan which was a bit disappointing. Horseradish on the other hand was fresh and properly made - nothing out of a jar so this was very pleasing. Kids burger was good. I would have liked to send a direct review but the only options on the email were google Facebook and Tripadvisor.

Today we went to the spotted horse for the first time in many years. I have to say I was utterly delighted. The food was great, I believe it was the manager who served us who had a very friendly approach. The roast was nothing short of delicious, I very rarely order a roast in a pub because it is usually so disappointing. I had the beef, it was medium rare and perfectly tender. The celeriac and carrot mash was a refreshing change from a normal pub accompaniment. The cabbage was “al dente” and the gravy was flavourful and not too salty. The parsnips could have done with being a little bit crispier, but otherwise I would like to thank them for the best pub roast I have had in a VERY long time. I would also like to thank the friendly staff. We will be coming back (and thank you for coping with the 2 and 5 year old 😊)

Although my English was terrible, a man in the counter was so kind. Thank you for your careful service. I tried fish&chips and it was also great. The warm atmosphere it has... I liked this place so much. I want to back when I visit London next time. I was there on Saturday around 18:00, there were many people enjoyed but still enough seats to relax.

Popped in for a pint during the week if I lived in Putney this would be my local Nice comfortable furniture just a nice pub.....definitely be visiting again when I'm shopping in putney.......regards Mark

Had a party here, Sunday dinner. Food was great, service was great, place was very pleasant. Will definitely be returning.

Loved the food here, and the service was great. I had initially given this place 5 stars, but now I am dropping it to 3 stars. The reason being that I was doubled charged for the food, and after a phone call and 2 emails, I am yet to see the mistake corrected and will most likely have to try my luck with the credit card company. Doesn't help that this is an overseas location for me, so I may end up paying just as much on phone calls. If anybody else goes here, please take care.

Second visit for the Sunday roast - my mum’s favourite. It is a lovely, really quite traditional pub - used to go here as a boy - with a good range of beers. But the food is a cut above and very reasonably priced. The roasts are very good and fill both the plate and your stomach. Recommended.

Lovely pub with a very relaxed atmosphere. Make sure you don't miss their sticky toffee pudding, one of the best I have ever had!
