Can I just give a massive shout out and thanks to Wilfreds - my famly and I went to Wilfreds Canteen last night to celebrate my birthday - not only is the venue fabulous and beautiful - the staff were just brilliant and the food - my goodness every morsel was the best food we have ever tasted! Right from a starter of bacon and cheese in filo pastry to a main of chicken and ham pie with the best potato dauphinoise and then a peach crumble and a sherry trifle just for my Dad - it was truly incredible with very generous portions - just brilliant and very special ! So if you are looking for a fab venue for a special occasion with your family and friends - it really has to be there ! Congratualtions Chris and all you team xx

Excellent food, wonderful service from Antonio. We popped in without a reservation and were made to feel very welcome.

Amazing fresh fish and chips- also got a fish burger for my niece was amazing! All Staff so friendly and helpful- location beautiful honestly 1010 can’t wait to come back. Anna was also great smile on her face constantly must try place for fish and chips!

Well, we were here today for a Mothers Day lunch. We’d been a couple of years ago and it’s been decorated since then. It looks much better. We looked at some of the meals been served nearby and they all looked decidedly underwhelming and a bit “ greasy spoon cafe”. So, undeterred we thought we’d play it safe. We just ordered mains. One daughter had the mussels and my wife, myself and our other daughter had the roast chicken. The chicken was really nice but the vegetables were overdone, the Yorkshire pudding was a limp sponge and my roast potatoes looked like boiled ones. Having said all that I did polish everything off and it was quite tasty. Jess said her mussel sauce was a bit bland and the portion was small for a main course. As for the positives: the wine was good, my gluten free beers were great, our cocktails (quite a few of them) were very good and so was my coffee. But everything took an age to come out of the kitchen and one of the blokes bringing it out looked like he’d been sleeping in a duvet in the nearest bus shelter. Our waiter, the only English chap, was excellent but he had to keep apologising for the slow service. For Richmond, the prices were not bad and we actually had a very nice time - but then we are a family that gets on and pretty much always have a good time when we are out. In essence, it’s a good place in some ways but a gastro pub it is not.

Great pub, friendly and a nice one man show on Saturdays. Close to Richmond station. Good selection of taps. Also some of the booths have TVs which is great to watch the game in private.

I needed a table for 7 for Sunday Lunch and to watch the Newcastle football match. The staff were so helpful and called to confirm the booking and our needs. We had a great table and the food and service when we arrived was fantastic. A special thank you to Marsha.

Really disappointed to find this shop has permanently closed - have been visiting for over 30 years

Quiet on early Sunday evening. Good food served by pleasant and efficient staff. Restaurant directly opposite Richmond station. Bus stops just across road also available.

29th may 2024 3:30pm Today the young slim woman wearing white hat working in the Mexican hot food counter is extraordinarily rude . She is moving rice from a big tray to a small tray . I was waiting for her to finish that , just trying to grab a box of chips to pay ( while children waiting for me in car with grandma ). “ busy! Wait !” She said . Then I stand there waiting & watching her in slow motion moving all rice from a try to another . Then guess what ….. no not finished …. She then take her time slowly to re arrange the 1 big tray to small 2 mini trays … she then took her time to allocate all trays …. In slow motion … ….. I kindly remind her I am still waiting . “ no ! Busy !!! I told u !!!! “I already told u !!!!”” This is the worst experience with this store so far while all other staffs always have courtesy and manners . Usually this store is always 5 star customer service . Especially upstairs the staff behind hot food in kitchen and behind tills and cashiers and manager . All warm and nice and helpful .

Es más rápido que un bocado lugar sentarse restaurante. Elegir para comer y hay asientos arriba o elegir para llevar y siéntese en Richmond Green! La envoltura de pollo picante está elaborada con los envoltura - cocidas en el horno estilo hoguera en frente de usted donde y es entonces puffs llena de pollo, ligeramente picante y luego las maravillas de encurtidos y salsas! Todo lo demás huele increíble y es imprescindible para un aperitivo en Richmond! Evitar los alimentos frente a la carretera y todo el paso hacia el cielo - prueba enrollado de pollo y evitar la dulces cerca de la puerta también!

A beautiful pub in an excellent location. The food is not bad -we stopped in for a late lunch. Well looked after. Lovely menu choices, which makes a nice change. The ambience was perfect and staff extremely helpful and friendly.

A delicious lunch was had here with friends. The service was excellent. Lovely restaurant with a great setting nearby the River Thames.

This was a surprise meal at the ‘Ted Lasso’ pub. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and many people there for the Lasso effect. Food was lovely
