I came here for lunch a couple of months ago after being introduced to this place by a friend. It was so good that I treated my mum to a birthday brunch this month . The Devon crab rarebit was absolutely delicious and the staff are just so friendly and welcoming. They heard me mention my mums birthday and offered her a birthday Prosecco which was a lovely touch. It was very quiet when we visited this time as they hadn't been open long but still such a gorgeous atmosphere . Weekends are very busy but I can see why. Still worth a visit then but I'd definitely make sure you book ahead.

Absolutely stunning pub. Feels like a proper country pub in London. Went for a Sunday roast and it’s probably the best I’ve ever had. The pork and beef were amazing. Great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Can’t fault anything, will be back for sure!

Extremely nice personal, the food is great and a wonderful cosy atmosphere.

Booked for ten people for a late Saturday lunch and we were shown to a great table in the centre of the dining room. We had a pre lunch drink of well made cocktails and house fizz. The attentive, professional landlord took our order of a selection of starters, then Fish and chips, Burgers, Sole and Faggots all cooked to perfection, the children's menu was also very good with plenty on offer. A couple of bottles of red and white wines rounded off the perfect lazy lunch. Service was professional and the food was cooked by a well trained chef, reasonably priced. We will be back .

After a long walk through the park my friend and I decided to pop in for Sunday lunch. We were a greeted with friendly faces from the whole team and then Josh quickly found us a table- as it was a nice day we decided to lap up the sunshine outside with a glass of rose before coming back to our table and ordering our food. The pub was busy but still had a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for an after walk lunch. The service was fast and professional. The food was amazing, I had the pork roast and my friend had the veggie roast. My favourite was the cauliflower cheese! 10/10. We finished off with a cheese board and the GM Chris paired some great ports to do along side. Faultless from all angles, we can’t wait to visit again. Thanks Lass team!

A nice pub on top of Richmond Hill. But as all Young's pubs, it's over-priced. I am aware of the fact that the prices are set by the head office. Sometimes I'm feeling like contacting the CEO!

Parking a bit tricky at busy times

Nice refurb, great menu, and great food and service, although not everything on menu was available probably due to being almost empty on a Weekday night. Would definitely recommend.

Six of us had lunch here before going to Twickenham, and were very happy with our choice. There's a very welcoming team of staff and something for everyone on the menu. We enjoyed most of what we ate but found the laughably small bread portion a bit of an insult at £4.50 (enough for one person) and paid £50 per head for two courses with beer/wine which seems alright. On booking you are encouraged to use the Youngs app, I did but found it to be completely useless, wouldn't bother as the staff have everything sorted. Would return in nearby again.

Great Sunday lunch here, really tasty food. Lovely interiors, very cosy with lots of different areas to sit in. Staff very helpful too. Will definitely be returning.

Very nice pub with parking. Went there for a family get together. Food and service very good. The only downside was 12 half% service charge. On top of our bill which we paid is alot. Yes you can ask for it to be taken off and give your own top but as we all know this is embarrassing. Maybe bring this fee down a bit would help.

We came to the Lass for a birthday party. We felt very welcomed and looked after. We were handed menus and food very quickly. The atmosphere was very familiar and the food quality outstanding. We will definitely visit the Lass more often.

Gorgeous pub, delicious food. 10/10!

The recently refurbished Lass is a lovely welcoming pub and offering excellent food and service and a warm welcome. The refurbishment has been done to a high level and the pub has lost none of its appeal. Comfortable chairs, sofas and banquettes and fires to sit around in the winter. The outside areas will be great in the summer with ample parking. Close to Richmond Park and the famous "Turner" view down to the river the Lass is ideally suited to walkers. Great atmosphere for family and friends gathering to celebrate a special occasion or just have a quiet lunch.

Refurbished and very neat. Good space between tables. Cheerful and attentive service, understated. Good food served in timely fashion. Not too busy on a Thursday lunchtime.

Service was brilliant. Staff were very attentive and helpful. I had steak pie and the others had beef stew with dumplings. Very enjoyable. Also good to find a pub with a car park in Richmond. Definitely going back again.

Beef was medium well boarder line felt like I needed a steak knife to cut through - did say to the waitress it was over done, everything else was delicious but pub was empty by 6:30 on Sunday x

I stood at the bar for 10 minutes and was ignored by four bartenders to eventually someone said are you being served The roast beef was generous with the beef portions. However, the cabbage was watery and the potatoes were pretty tasteless. My wife’s prawn cocktail was cheap colourless, frozen prawns, however, my son burger was fantastic and the beetroot carpaccio starter looked fantastic and tasted good… I’m not gonna rush back which is a shame because we had a lovely walk round Richmond Park and I do love Young’s Pubs but this one needs a bit of working on

Came here for my birthday meal - a sunday roast table for 16 people! The food was lovely and the staff were also very obliging. The real fire and cosy atmosphere is perfect for a post-walk meal!

Really lovely pub with open log fires and friendly staff. The attractive dinning area and interesting menu enticed us to return for a family lunch but we were disappointed by the quality of food which was average pub standard level - ie decent burger but anything more ambitious was not good. I had to send back my calves liver which was a poor quality ingredient, badly cooked. The staff were lovely but this place needs a better chef to be a truly good pub.

Excellent customer service and fantastic food. Our car broke down in the car park on our way to have a New Year’s Eve lunch at the Lass. The team were amazing whilst we ate our lunch and we waited for the RAC. As it’s our local, we will definitely be recommending to people.

Can't fault this place is the honest truth. Fantastic atmosphere and the roast dinner I had was superb. Good selection of food and drinks. Also has parking out the back as well as a generous amount of outdoor space.

Really disappointed. Terrine lacked flavour - served with wilted greenery and no toast. Had to ask for that!? Main, everything piled up and celeriac mash could have n been anything - full of water. Unimpressed and not that pub will care two hoots, will not bother returning!!!!

This was our first visit to Lass O’Richmond Hill. The pub is beautiful and made more magical with it tasteful Christmas lighting and open fire. We booked a table for dinner and stayed for a wonderfully relaxing 3 courses with wine. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great selection of dishes cooked really well and a satisfying portion size. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We are already looking forward to our new visit. Highly recommended.

Since the refurbishment. Food is not as good, portions much smaller and prices much more expensive. Beetroot carpaccio had absolutely no taste, the roast beef was tough and rubbery. As Sunday regulars, we were really, really disappointed.

Lovely decorated pub, outdoor area is a delight with heaters, blankets, hides, fairy lights and jazz music in background. Inside nice atmosphere and well decorated. Food was very tasteful, friend had stew with dumpling (see photo on previous customer review), said portion size disappointing had to order mash as extra side dish to bulk it out. I had 8oz steak with bone marrow with fries very nice, steak cooked perfectly. Other friend had calves liver with mash, portion size good and tasteful but, said gravy needed something extra added like sherry. For mains ordered prices were £19-25 so expected above and beyond. Service was friendly and adequate overall, we ate at 5pm and the kitchen were happy to take orders bit before. Disappointed no one came up and asked if everything was OK, I would have asked for mayo or ketchup but went without. They were too happy to keep asking for drink orders though! Also said it was a 50th birthday celebration, waiter or bar waiter could have offered a free drink or slice of cake. Nothing. Dessert was very disappointing, we all ordered fig & apple crumble with ice cream, all 3 were with NO fig at all and too much crumble made it very dry. Crumble didn't taste homemade, couldn't be bothered to complain. Overall, lovely place to come for a drink in summer or winter, lovely atmosphere, maybe Sunday Roast is best day to come for food, otherwise food is good but don't get too excited. Would have given 3.5 stars if I could.

My wife and I visited midweek for the first time since the refurbishment and had an excellent experience all round. The food was excellent, we had pitted olives, potted Devon crab, the West Country beef shin & wild mushroom stew and the Breaded Sutton Hubbard chicken schnitzel, and a side of chips (the best we've had for a long time). My wife also said that the Bakewell cocktail was scrumptious!! Everyone was very welcoming and the service from Josh and Sam was brilliant. We can't wait to go back again.

Nice local pub. Cozy ambiance and ample of parking. Good food too . Usually go for Sunday roast or warm soups. Limited cocktails menu and no mocktails but they have a variety of beers, wines and other nonalcoholic bottled beverages.

We had the Christmas feast menu. I had turkey and wife had the beef. Very well cooked, delicious vegetables and massive portion size. Josh and another girl were very helpful. Just a shame the pub was so quiet the week before Christmas week! It's a nice pub and Richmond Park is just round the corner if you need to walk off the dinner 😄

Great setting with really friendly staff. I support minimal food waste but not a fan of parsnip peeling pickles on my plate, if you wouldn't serve the parsnip with the peel on why then put it on the plate. Otherwise the food was good

Lovely local that’s been done up for the festive season. Stumbled in after a very long walk and snaffled a nice table, and sat down to a delicious fish & chips and a warm beef & mushroom stew. Really good food, reasonably priced. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming - like a charming local where everyone goes to celebrate.

Although I have moved out of the area, the Lass of Richmond Hill has remained a favourite of mine for many years. The staff are a delight, the food is excellent (although as with most places, prices have increased) and the wine list is good. Another bonus, for those who don't fancy the walk up Richmond Hill, is that the 371 bus stops right outside the pub, directly from Richmond station. What more could you ask for!

Really loved my visit here. Cost warm pub with one of the best plant based roasts I’ve had. The only thing that lets it down is a slight restriction on the menu such as not being able to do simple cocktails like a mojito and the service was slow at points to the point where we had to chase.

Lovely visit from start to finish. The Lass is run so well. No waiting for your table. When you order whoosh it’s there. Nothing a problem. Food great. Atmosphere great. I especially liked when our waitress gave us a wave when we were leaving, despite being busy. Can’t wait to go back.

Very comfortable indoor space and if the weather is nice there is a gorgeous outdoor garden/patio. The food and service are both better than average. I definitely plan to return. #recommended Update: I've been there three times now and love the newly renovated decor, and I don't always get the burger. There are a ton of good choices on the menu and I haven't gotten the same thing twice.

An excellent restaurant, very tasty food, cozy, not expensive, but most of all, what pleasantly surprised me was that there were visitors with dogs, the dogs had bowls of water, that is, they care not only about people, but also about animals.

A friendly pub on the edge if Richmond Park. If you're looking for a pre- or post- drink or meal combined with a ramble or cycle through this wonderful park, the Lass is perfect. Well run and staffed, it serves an excellent selection of beers and food. Hardly cheap, but the food quality reflects the prices.
