The Prince's Head in Richmond upon Thames

We were visiting London for the first time and I wanted to visit Kew and it just happened to be in Richmond and we are Ted Lasso fans so… The reviews were excellent and they were not an exaggeration. The food was stupendous. Well worth the 20 minute walk from Kew. The Ted Lasso booth was cute and we sat at a table with a view of the call boxes and Richmond Green. We highly recommend the Prince’s Head for a meal or just a pint. I’ll dream about that steak and ale pie for the rest of my life.😄 So you know will be back! It’s a really cute town, very atmospheric so have a wander, grab a coffee and enjoy!

Of course we came here for its now famous facade but then had the pleasure of enjoying a brilliant lunch served by genuinely, warm and happy staff! Btw the photo definitely didn't do the pie justice... it was fantastic!

A must visit for any Ted Lasso fan. It’s super charming and even though people come in initially because of its relevance to the show, you quickly realize what a special gem it is in its own right. Plenty of good food choices and of course an ample beer, wine and cocktail selection.

Ted Lasso fans definitely need to stop in here when in the area. Just had a pint during my visit but the food looked good and the people that were around us seemed to enjoy what they ordered.

This is a very friendly pub/restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. The triple cooked chips were excellent.

Got a lamb roast dinner, and while it was good it was barely warm which was disappointing. The beers were good and we had fun watching the cricket. We got there around 10:30a and the place was empty, but filled up very quickly closer to lunch time.

The pub was very very busy waiting 15 mins to get served at the bar probably due to the ted lasso bods I would love to visit again when it's not too busy

I saw the series Ted Lasso, so I had to stop by, it looks much better in real life than in the series, there is a great atmosphere, and Polish workers on the scaffolding, greetings, gentlemen. And he would forget about awesome beer

Staff are really rude and unprofessional!!! Don’t go as it will be a bad experience for a high price. Waiters and managers standing at the bar chatting when you sitting on a dirty table and no one cares!!!!

A very nice restaurant with delicious food, and drinks, and excellent service. We didn't reserve a table, it was fully booked. But the staff allowed us to have lunch with 1 hour limit time. Thank you for that. I liked the seating arrangements, some were like private seatings. It's a big restaurant. So, sometimes it's noisy. Toilets for customers are available.

Excellent burger and excellent (actually, outstanding...) chips. Very friendly service and not a bad place to watch the Football World Cup. 👍⚽ ...and 6 Nations rugby matches, too! 🏉 Recommended... However, please note: You should get a reservation because it can be busy at unexpected times. ### I haven't been here in a while because the pub now has such a high visitor-value with Ted Lasso fans. Even reservations are difficult to get. ###

Well what an amazing place! Originally booked because we're huge Ted Lasso fans, but wow. Would come back to Richmond just for this pub. Absolutely amazing food and huge portion sizes. The pie was the best I've had in a very long time and had the cutest little pastry cow on it. The burger was good especially the yummy sauce, and the chips! Oh yes yummy. Really good value for the money. The staff are wonderful, so funny and friendly honestly could not recommend this place more.

A tiny traditional pub I visited last night, Friday, 7 February 2025. I wanted a pint and some chips while waiting for my companion who might have ordered a full dinner. However there was nowhere to sit for 2 people indoors. It was a cold raining winter evening so no sitting outside. The dining area takes up half the pub which the staff informed me was only for those ordering a full meal. I didn't fancy having a pint and eating chips standing at the bar waiting for my companion. I grabbed a quick pint and went off to find a bigger pub. Bartender was a friendly young man . It's ok for a quick stop but if you are a large group or suffer with claustrophobia, it's not going to be good for you.

Fantastic Sunday Roast, reasonably priced and friendly service. I had the vegetarian option which was unique and was a butternut squash, spinach and feta wellington and was delicious. I liked it also that all the gravy was vegetarian too! Highly recommended for Sunday Lunch.

Temporarily closed for renovations. Plans to re-open in February. We came in from Kensington to find it closed. Just want to help others.

Charming pub in the heart of Richmond, the bartender today was one of the friendliest people we have ever encountered, a credit to a wonderful traditional pub, treated everyone with respect and kindness. Great choice of beers and delicious food. Highly Recommend

As huge fans of Ted Lasso on our visit to London this was a must visit place on our list. We booked a table to make sure we wouldn't be disappointed and not be able to eat here. The pub itself is a lovely little place and has a really lovely atmosphere and there was a real buzz to the place. We were shown to our seats and the table service was swift and appropriate. The food we ordered came quickly and was really good, personal recommendation for the ribeye steak which was exceptional. There was one small issue with the food which is reflected in the reduction from 5 stars but the way it was dealt with by Troy was first class and went above and beyond. I would give this a huge endorsement and look forward to returning again to give them that last star.

Had a few pints here and got great and friendly service. It’s the pub in the exact location of the pub used in Ted Lasso but that (on the inside) was a studio. Good choice of ales and the food is meant to be very good as well. Pop in for a pint and the view of the green

I’m a big Ted Lasso fan. My wife didn’t want to make the hour trip to visit but gladly came along for me. The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside was being treated not good but not horrible for being a fan. They seemed disappointed in seeing us. We ordered food and a drink but had to sit next to the men’s bathroom that smelled like you would expect. Most stop and won’t disappoint if you’re are a Ted Lasso fan, just don’t expect a friendly Ted Lasso welcome.

Hey, Ted Lasso fun, this is the pub of the series, a must see if you are in Richmond. Standard pints -not a surprise here- but the most amazing fish and chips. Service is friendly. Cool and loud atmosphere.

Popped in here on the 30th December for a drink and food. Lovely pub grub, great bar service, but the attitude of the lady serving us food left a table of 4 a bit gobsmacked.

Crispy, tasty and filling fish n chips. Nice clean pint of London pride too. Very busy, and deservedly so if you want to eat here, book ahead or take the dangerous gamble of chancing it with the crowds.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get inside for anything more than a beer for two reasons. The bar is known from the TV series Ted Lasso and it was Sunday, which is a holy lunch day for every London family.

If you love Ted Lasso, this is a must see. This is the actual pub in the show. The food was surprisingly good! We had the calamari, soup of the day (potato and leek), Ribeye Frittes, Roasted pumpkin and sage ravioli, and Cajun roasted chickpea and butternut squash salad with chicken. It was really fun to see the Ted Lasso memorabilia around the restaurant and to take photos out front. Do try to make a reservation because it’s quite busy. So glad we were able to experience this!

We took my dad for lunch, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The food was excellent, lovely pint of London Pride. We weren’t rushed even though the pub was heaving due to it being Christmas.

A victim of its recent fame. I used to drink in here on occasion before Ted Lasso and it was a very amiable boozer with great beer. Still has atmosphere but has managed to achieve a standard of anonymity and corporateness it didn't have before. Anda bottle of Peroni at £5.90 - in a plastic glass.

We visited Richmond for the day and had to stop at The Prince's Head for a beer on the patio. It was everything we wanted it to be and more. You can tell this is a very special place to the locals. We actually ended up having a great conversation with a local gentleman for about an hour. It was a lovely afternoon and Richmond is fantastic!

I booked a Christmas party for eleven of us. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived so we sat down and staff got the table ready in front of us. It took around an hour to receive our starters. We then waited and waited for our main courses. My friends who hadn't had starters were absolutely starving when the food finally arrived 1.5 hours after we'd sat down. There was no apology for this. Everyone's food was just warm, and one lady sent hers back to be heated up. The rest of us were so hungry that we ate the warm food. The only thing which arrived hot was a bowl of sprouts to share amongst ourselves! We then waited ages for the table to be cleared, in fact I had to ask as a waitress rushed by. One of my friends actually started clearing our plates herself. The staff were so unattentive. We even had to ask for the bill twice! We spent around £1,000 between us on food and drink, so I asked at the bar if I might receive a complimentary drink to say thank you for bringing eleven people, but was told a definite 'no'. Why did all our food take so long to arrive when we'd all submitted our meal choices weeks in advance? All-in-all it was very disappointing experience, and we will not come back next Christmas.

My evening here was the highlight of my entire trip in the UK. Like many others, I had to go as a big fan of Ted Lasso, but the surprise was the incredible real-life people who run it. Some of the kindest there are, a big shout out to Tom and Lucy in particular for the joy they brought to me that I will never forget. Oh, and the food was fantastic too, had fish 'n' chips and my favorite dessert, apple crumble. If only I could live in Richmond, I'd be there every week, or more!

I have visited the pub during Wimbledon for lunch and took my American counterparts. Found the food great and the staff superb. I went this evening on the back of various day time visits for ONE drink after a meal elsewhere. The staff were appallingly rude. Male initially. As we left a female asked how we found our visit. After explaining, was told well she thought he was amazing and totally ignored what was said. Honestly couldn’t comprehend their behaviour. But the group won’t be back. Nor will I bring anyone to the pub in future. Totally embarrassing behaviour from both bar staff. It’s a shame because it was my go to during the day for lunch out. But the evening experience put me off visiting again.

Booked a table a day in advance of our planned visit, and we were sat straight away upon arrival. Super friendly staff members who were very attentive throughout our meal. Both meal choices were great (fish and chips, steak and ale pie). Cool experience to be in the place used during filming of Ted Lasso. Would definitely return in the future.

I called in today with a friend, neither of us had been to this pub before. We were made very welcome. It's cosy and inviting, with lots of nooks and crannies. We both had the fish and chips which was delicious, and the service was polite and attentive. We'll definitely come back 🙂

This was quite honestly the best meal I had in London on my vacation. Service and atmosphere were also fantastic. A lovely venture from the central part of the city!

We have eaten and had a drink here in the past. Returned recently, food is very good, BUT, was charged £3.00 for a Tonic mixer from a gun. - very expensive!

Famous Pub from the Ted Lasso series! Very worth the visit! Good food and cold drinks. The pub is bigger in reality than on TV. There's a room that separates the pub from a restaurant, everything is Prince's Head, but with divided spaces. I watched a Champions League game there, it was really cool. Pleasant atmosphere.

We visited this restaurant today with my family (a group of six) and were very pleased with the ambiance and quality of the food. The setting was welcoming, and the service throughout most of our meal was friendly and attentive. We truly enjoyed our time there—until the end, when unfortunately, one server was extremely rude to us. It’s a shame, as this left a sour note on an otherwise lovely dining experience. We hope this was just a misunderstanding, as the rest of the staff and the meal were wonderful.

Mot a great experience. Appreciate it was match day but serving wine in plastic glasses is poor. Popped into dining area to warm up by fire, waiter said unless dining had to vacate as very busy... there was not 1 person in the area! He then did to same to a party of 6 about 10 minutes later. Poor front of house perception.

Just visited with my son. A lovely location, and doesn't disappoint inside either as a proper local pub. Steak sandwich was unbelievably good, as we're the chips, and burger. Decent pint of Fullers Pride too. Service was really very good and friendly, from Skye who looked after us and the the barman as soon as we walked in. We went midday on an end of October Wednesday. I imagine this pub is perfect at both Christmas and the height of summer. We'll definitely look to go back the next time we're in Richmond. You get the added benefit of it feeling very familiar if you've watched Ted Lasso, but don't think this is a theme pub, it's a lovely local London pub with exceptional friendly service and a perfect pint.

When I worked in Richmond, this pub was one of my favourites. I booked a table as a core group of us work mates were gathering for the first time in many years, so it was the natural place to gather! It was perfect and we were very happy with our drinks and food.

I went here because of Ted Lasso show. There is a “shrine”’to the show in the back of the restaurant but it’s a tease because there are people always eating at the table where the shrine is. Apparently this table is booked months in advance and you are told you can’t go and leer over the diners or take pictures. I guess it makes this table more desirable but it’s a bit mean-spirited, in my opinion, to those of us who travel many miles to come to this pub specifically to see Ted Lasso stuff and the pub. I came here twice and didn’t get close to the shrine. On a food note, the pumpkin soup was good. I enjoyed the focaccia with olive oil mayo. It was quite delicious. Fries were tasty. I had a Sav Blanc New Zealand which was fine.

£18 for a piece of baked Camembert with a few slightly toasted pieces of bread is absolutely ridiculous. I had to move all our plates to another table once we’d finished as the service was non-existent.

Good selection of beer and cider. Nice british foods for moderate prices. Also some Vegetarian and Vegan food options. The staff is friendly and the pub is comfortable and cozy. Although it was rather crowded on a saturday noon with live football, it was crowded in a good way.

Fantastic pub!!! Had a pint of Fuller’s, sat at a picnic table out front, watched people enjoying the green across the street, chatted with a nice guy who had returned to visit his childhood home after 40 years away in Australia. Great spot. Friendly service. You’ll love it!

We visited for the Ted Lasso experience and decided to pop into the Pub. We didn't have a booking - so we weren't surprised that we couldn't get a table for a meal. It really wasn't a big deal. We were able to grab a bar table by the window and order some beers and then some munchies. We didn't really go for the food. We enjoyed our beers and the experience of sitting where Ted and Beard once sat ;-)

The fact that this pub has become a major tourist attraction, due to its part in the Ted Lasso show, should not deflect from the fact that they still offer a welcoming and authentic experience which anyone would enjoy. The highlight for me were the exceptional staff, who were genuinely helpful and polite. The pub offers an extensive range of great beers such as Camden Hell's, Neck Oil and of course Guinness. The food menu has many classic British dishes such as fish and chips, steak and ale pies, gammon steak and venison faggots. There are a few nods to Ted Lasso with the Richmond FC scarf behind the bar but it's more of an authentic British pub than a Lasso theme park, which is commendable. The pub does get busy due to its connection with the tv show, but overall, this would be a great place to visit regardless of its popularity and is highly recommended.

My wife and I went to London for a couple days and planned to stop by this place because of watching Ted lasso. We were entirely disappointed, staff was late to open and very disappointing with no personality.

AMERICANS: DO NOT GO HERE. wanted to go to the ted lasso pub for a fun dinner. my phone was stolen inside the restaurant by a man trying to sell magazines. he took my phone from the table and ran. when talking to the staff apparently it happens often and they don’t have cameras. very sketchy, felt as if we were targeted as americans.

The reason we decided to have lunch here as this was Ted Lasso pub. The interior was exactly the same as shown in.the television series. A wall of memorabilia. We were not disappointed in this respect.The food was average and little overpriced.

Came for Ted Lasso, Stayed for the food. The service was great, really friendly staff. This is the pub from Ted Lasso but they don’t make a huge deal of it like the rest of Richmond. We had a few drinks (reasonably priced for London) and then had lunch. The food was superb, one of the nicest burgers I’ve had in London. All fairly priced for this part of the world and served quickly, well presented and great customer service. Nothing more you can ask for

We travelled nearly two hours to go to this pub. Traffic was very bad on a Saturday and en route checked that there was a 15 minute grace period on bookings. We arrived at the computer system was a manager allocating booking (.this was after 5 mins of trying to find someone that worked in the pub to help) at 12.45 and booking was 12.30……the manager said he had given our table away…..we pointed at his screen and said but it says 12.45 on your screen and so you must of given it away before the 15 min window as the new booking was already seated with drinks!!!! He didn’t care, didn’t apologise and had an arrogance about him. This pub clearly thinks they do not need customer service because it’s on a tv programme. It was so upsetting and ruined our day. I would go and have a look if you like ted lasso but there are nicer places to eat and drink in close proximity

Food is pretty poor. Drinks menu doesn’t have any prices on it, and then when you get the bill your cider is £7.
