I’m a big Ted Lasso fan. My wife didn’t want to make the hour trip to visit but gladly came along for me. The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant. The only downside was being treated not good but not horrible for being a fan. They seemed disappointed in seeing us. We ordered food and a drink but had to sit next to the men’s bathroom that smelled like you would expect. Most stop and won’t disappoint if you’re are a Ted Lasso fan, just don’t expect a friendly Ted Lasso welcome.

We had the calamari, soup of the day (potato and leek), Ribeye Frittes, Roasted pumpkin and sage ravioli, and Cajun roasted chickpea and butternut squash salad with chicken. It was really fun to see the Ted Lasso memorabilia around the restaurant and to take photos out front. Do try to make a reservation because it’s quite busy. So glad we were able to experience this!

A victim of its recent fame. I used to drink in here on occasion before Ted Lasso and it was a very amiable boozer with great beer. Still has atmosphere but has managed to achieve a standard of anonymity and corporateness it didn't have before. Anda bottle of Peroni at £5.90 - in a plastic glass.

I booked a Christmas party for eleven of us. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived so we sat down and staff got the table ready in front of us. It took around an hour to receive our starters. We then waited and waited for our main courses. My friends who hadn't had starters were absolutely starving when the food finally arrived 1.5 hours after we'd sat down. There was no apology for this. Everyone's food was just warm, and one lady sent hers back to be heated up. The rest of us were so hungry that we ate the warm food. The only thing which arrived hot was a bowl of sprouts to share amongst ourselves! We then waited ages for the table to be cleared, in fact I had to ask as a waitress rushed by. One of my friends actually started clearing our plates herself. The staff were so unattentive. We even had to ask for the bill twice! We spent around £1,000 between us on food and drink, so I asked at the bar if I might receive a complimentary drink to say thank you for bringing eleven people, but was told a definite 'no'. Why did all our food take so long to arrive when we'd all submitted our meal choices weeks in advance? All-in-all it was very disappointing experience, and we will not come back next Christmas.

I have visited the pub during Wimbledon for lunch and took my American counterparts. Found the food great and the staff superb. I went this evening on the back of various day time visits for ONE drink after a meal elsewhere. The staff were appallingly rude. Male initially. As we left a female asked how we found our visit. After explaining, was told well she thought he was amazing and totally ignored what was said. Honestly couldn’t comprehend their behaviour. But the group won’t be back. Nor will I bring anyone to the pub in future. Totally embarrassing behaviour from both bar staff. It’s a shame because it was my go to during the day for lunch out. But the evening experience put me off visiting again.

Decent pint of Fullers Pride too. Service was really very good and friendly, from Skye who looked after us and the the barman as soon as we walked in. We went midday on an end of October Wednesday. I imagine this pub is perfect at both Christmas and the height of summer. We'll definitely look to go back the next time we're in Richmond. I went here because of Ted Lasso show. There is a “shrine”’to the show in the back of the restaurant but it’s a tease because there are people always eating at the table where the shrine is. Apparently this table is booked months in advance and you are told you can’t go and leer over the diners or take pictures. I guess it makes this table more desirable but it’s a bit mean-spirited, in my opinion, to those of us who travel many miles to come to this pub specifically to see Ted Lasso stuff and the pub. I came here twice and didn’t get close to the shrine. On a food note, the pumpkin soup was good. I enjoyed the focaccia with olive oil mayo. It was quite delicious. Fries were tasty. I had a Sav Blanc New Zealand which was fine.

The fact that this pub has become a major tourist attraction, due to its part in the Ted Lasso show, should not deflect from the fact that they still offer a welcoming and authentic experience which anyone would enjoy. The highlight for me were the exceptional staff, who were genuinely helpful and polite. The pub offers an extensive range of great beers such as Camden Hell's, Neck Oil and of course Guinness. The food menu has many classic British dishes such as fish and chips, steak and ale pies, gammon steak and venison faggots. There are a few nods to Ted Lasso with the Richmond FC scarf behind the bar but it's more of an authentic British pub than a Lasso theme park, which is commendable. The pub does get busy due to its connection with the tv show, but overall, this would be a great place to visit regardless of its popularity and is highly recommended.

We travelled nearly two hours to go to this pub. Traffic was very bad on a Saturday and en route checked that there was a 15 minute grace period on bookings. We arrived at the computer system was a manager allocating booking (.this was after 5 mins of trying to find someone that worked in the pub to help) at 12.45 and booking was 12.30……the manager said he had given our table away…..we pointed at his screen and said but it says 12.45 on your screen and so you must of given it away before the 15 min window as the new booking was already seated with drinks!!!! He didn’t care, didn’t apologise and had an arrogance about him. This pub clearly thinks they do not need customer service because it’s on a tv programme. It was so upsetting and ruined our day. Sorry to say the pub and the food are horrible. For a couple years I always knew the next time I come to London, I’d drop over to Richmond and see the Ted Lasso sights. It was very cool to see things outside, but when we went into the pub, and asked to sit at the “memorabilia table”, that’s where things went bad. Partly not entirely their fault I guess because it was record heat in London today, about 90 degrees F, but there is no a/c and not even any fans blowing. It had to be around 82 inside and stagnant. The memorabilia table was in a corner in back of the pub, next to the ladies toilet door. They had the toilet door propped open and it stunk horribly at the table. The food was not very good at all. The experience inside almost soured everything else but we just hurried and ate and got out of there to continue our trip. Save yourself, drop in for pics, but go eat somewhere else.

Really enjoying our lunch here today. The two waitresses were attentive even though it was very busy and the food was LOVELY. I had the beef and ale pie and my husband had the fish and chips. Yes it's very very busy, staff are run ragged but I did find it funny watching people walk in, ignore the "please wait to be seated" sign then look offended when told the tables next booking was arriving soon. The staff were polite and friendly making sure we enjoyed our meals. Please do ignore the odd miffed reviews on here and check it out. It's fab!

Original Ted Lasso pub from the Apple TV series Ted Lasso. Recognisable from the series with plenty of memorabilia at the place. Located at the beginning of the street where Ted lives in the show. Close by souvenir shop dedicated to the series.

We visited this pub on a Saturday early afternoon with 4 adults and my 2 YO child. Our friend waited 20+ minutes being ignored by staff trying to get us seated at one of many empty tables at the back of the pub. Several mistakes were made on our order, most disturbing of all I was served an alcoholic drink after asking for 0% Asahi (7 months pregnant, so very visible). I was told I was in the wrong and it was my mistake, despite the table hearing me ask for 0%. The waitress clearly lied to her manager about this and the manager became aggressive with my husband after my husband raised the situation. The manager was aggressive about several other things, including us trying to identify a safe place to store our small travel pushchair. We ordered two fish and chips, a chicken Cesar salad, the pork schnitzel and a child's garlic bread. The chicken in the salad was inedible and the veg/salad on both the chicken and pork was soggy and tasteless. The garlic bread was stale. The food menu is totally overpriced, as are the drinks. The service is agresove, completely abysmal.

Staff aggressive and unaccommodating to people with young families. We had to fight the staff to make room for us to fit at the back of the pub, while the room was empty when we entered. We then were served alcohol to a pregnant woman, and subsequently charged for their mistake. Staff were carrying food above our heads, risking hot food falling on my 2 year olds daughter, out of spite. We were then lied to on two occasions, blaming us for their mistakes. The staff then petulantly made room after a number of confrontations. I know they believe they are a famous pub, but that is no excuse for substandard service on the most basic of levels.

Horrible customer service. Manger of the hotel hired two cleaning company , and one of the company does not pay her cleaners. We were trying to figure out this situation with the hotel but Natalie as a pub manager should literally stay working at pub because she have one job as a manger as she can’t do it properly. Disgusting and we will put everything online. She should contact the cleaning company to see what happens and let them know that this is illegal to don’t pay for the job that have been done , or try to solve this problem , but she simply clean her hands .!!!!

Great pub with a cosy atmosphere. The Sunday roast was really good, although not quite hot enough! Friendly and attentive service. I would definitely recommend for a Sunday lunch.

Lovely atmosphere and good food but service was very slow. Fortunately we weren’t pushed for time. Despite notifying them we were bringing two well behaved dogs they decided the table allocated to us was inappropriate to have dogs at as it was in the middle of the restaurant area. We were moved to a booth in the bar area which was fine but this meant ordering drinks and food from the bar. I suspect they were somewhat over stretched and possibly forgot about us as we were tucked away.

Went in for some lunch and a drink with friends and two children. Nice place, cosy and good atmosphere. Food was nice - better than other places on the green. However the staff soured the afternoon. They were curt and unaccommodating, made us feel unwelcome with our kids and generally as though we were a nuisance. Not family-friendly at all.
