Beautiful pub in a gorgeous part of London. Sits opposite a lovely pond in Barnes. Like being in a countryside village right in West London. Excellent food and atmosphere. Service was friendly and welcoming- especially Ciro. Lovely Sunday afternoon.

Lovely afternoon drinking Aperol spritz and enjoying the views of sunny Barnes, Ciro is phenomenal , very genuine and fun to chat , he made us smile continuously, his very calming and relaxing attitude was appreciated considering the pub was very busy he always managed to look after us and made us feel so welcome , thank you Ciro .

Stopped by The Sun Inn for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint ! We had the roast for two which included lamb, beef, & chicken – all super tasty. The vibe was really cozy, especially with the fireplace going. Highly recommend for great food and a great vibe!

Eaten here previously 50+ times and always excellent. This time, seated in corner with families with babies and toddlers. Not a good start. Seabass was very poorly presented, looking like a careless bowl of seafood slop. Chicken Milanese was served with a teaspoon full of chopped leaves and onions. Food taste ok but presentation zero. Noted that many tables vacated very quickly after we were seated. Staff could have asked us if we wished to sit elsewhere rather than put up with incessant kids noise. Overall, very poor and not what we have come to expect from this great pub.

We popped by for lunch. We were lucky enough with the weather so sat outside. Good service and a pleasant atmosphere. After lunch we went to the flea Market held by Barnes pond. Nice Afternoon and would say the Sun Inn is worth a visit

The shared Sunday roast was fantastic! My favourite was the chicken. The beef was too well done for us but it was because we forgot to tell them we wanted it pink. Ciro, the waiter was excellent. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their food and drinks. Highly recommended.

Huge mixed meat Sunday roast for two was very good with the chicken in particular melt in the mouth. Ciro provided excellent customer service.

This is a pub that I have enjoyed for over 40 years .The landlord has changed the decor has changed but it’s still THE SUN. the best pub I have ever had the pleasure to visit .Food is exceptional with a great wine list .Great atmosphere and great food

First visit to The Sun Inn. Sat outside on the nice terrace composed of high / normal tables. The service was good, waiter was efficient, food was served fast. Had a chicken snitzel and a glass of rosé. The snitzel was nice, not too fat, with a fresh rocket salad and tasty cherry tomatoes. Nice outdoor option when the weather is nice.

Very lucky to have The Sun Inn as our local. Where better to enjoy an afternoon drink in the sunshine than in beautiful Barnes, the staff are always so welcoming and accommodating. Had a fantastic lunch at the Sun Inn. I had the fried chicken wrap with the house salad and as per usual it did not disappoint. Absolute gem of a place, huge outside garden and across the street to an adorable duck/swan pond, a must visit if you're in Barnes!

Had lunch here and the food was that good I was back the next day. Attention to detail was amazing by staff. I’d recommend the roast chicken Sunday lunch. I will most definitely be back to sample more of the menu and warm hospitality soon!

Moved down the road and popped in for Sunday dinner—the sharer roast exceeded expectations, and Morrigan was absolutely lovely! The food came very quickly and the service was prompt as well. Looking forward to frequenting the pub.

Unbelievable service on a wonderful Saturday evening. Ciro was greatly attentive and would check if we were satisfied with each meal and each round of drinks we ordered. Unfortunately one of our pints of London Pride we ordered was the end of the barrel, but it was instantly changed for an alternative and a small sample was brought out of Pride as soon as the barrel was changed and settled. Once again, a fantastic experience.

I just had a burger. Pretty good. Staff are very nice. Food came out fast. No complaints at all. They let me park my bike inside the gate because I don't ever leave it out of my sight. Thought the crowd there were pretty chilled. Would come back, especially when I'm out for a cycle.

Had a lovely time here. Food is great, surroundings are well finished and the atmosphere is very chilled. The service was fantastic. We were here as a family with a 1 year old and the staff were very accommodating. Shout out to Ally who was friendly and helpful.

Our waiter Ciro was great, very hospitable and knowledgeable. He was attentive throughout our stay and even had a great conversation. The fleurie was lovely, the roasts were okay however all of our proteins were overcooked specifically the beef being chewy. Gravy was very thin and the general roast not hot. But in the weather I didn’t mind so much. The potatoes were nice and crispy so that was a saving grace and again Ciros swift clearing of plates and top ups on ice and water was appreciated Ciro completely outshone the food so we didn’t mind, will be coming back as I know they do great food. Next time !

Lovely garden and atmosphere, especially on a sunny day. We’ve only had light bites and not a full meal but the chicken wings were the best I’ve had (although it was a small portion!).

Probably the worst pub you could find ,due to the energy this place has, staff are just plain rude and the clientele just sanctimonious snobs ,saw the staff asking a group of young lads to leave because they were deemed too boisterous, however it seems fine to let all the liberal barnes kids run around screaming, but that's OK apparently Pls don't reply with your usual generic reply of ,Oh so sorry to hear about your experience with us ,blah,blah,blah

Having visited The Sun multiple times previously for drinks and other events, we had the 'day after' our wedding in the front area recently and would recommend for any and all the above. Service was spot on (and flexible) while the lead up to booking the area was too. Responsive team, well located & well recommended 👌

Enjoyed a great shared roast today again at the pub. Even though it was very busy with a big party going on Ciro looked after us with his usual charming welcoming and efficiency.

A group of five for lunch and it was a tasty meal. Our server was Fee, who was excellent.
