Great pub with a cosy atmosphere. The Sunday roast was really good, although not quite hot enough! Friendly and attentive service. I would definitely recommend for a Sunday lunch.

Came here for a Sunday roast with family and friends. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the rugby too. Will definitely come back!

Great meal last night with Morrigan and the team, plus the pub is very dog friendly. We had the trout special, fish and chips, chicken Milanese, and beef pie. Followed by sticky toffee pudding. Thank you.

Such a wonderful Sunday roast! We just walked in after a long walk without making a reservation, yet we were welcomed so warmly and were offered a table immediately even though it was still quite busy. The sharing Sunday roast was divine, and a major bonus was the Timothy Taylor’s! Ciro was incredibly attentive and extremely friendly. This really added to the atmosphere of the pub

Lovely meal in a cosy and comfortable village pub.

Our first visit since the Sun Inn was ‘refreshed’ last year. It has retained its great ambiance but is now subtly smarter. Service was excellent (attentive and friendly) with a good choice of food which was very good indeed. Overall, faultless so we will be back soon…

I spilt my beer all over the table and the man serving us gave me another on the house and cleared up the mess! Brilliant service. Great cosy spot. We got chips and the sausages from the bar menu both delicious. Could have done with a few extra sausages for the price though… but the great service and free beer made up for it!

The atmosphere was very nice and we had an enjoyable time, but I would not recommend The Sun Inn to someone for food. The battered fish and chips tasted stale, as if the oil they were cooked in was old or was used for something else. The mushrooms on sourdough toast also wasn't quite up to our expectations, the bread tasted stale and the spread on it was quite dry. The sausages were nice. All in all, the food was disappointing.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Sun Inn and had a fantastic time. I've been celebrating my birthday there every summer, so we knew it'd be a great experience and the Sun Inn did not disappoint. Our server, Morrigan, was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and quickly served, from appetizers to dessert. After dinner, we played a board game (that we brought) and before we could even ask, someone came over to wipe the table for us. They are one of the few places that seems to read the reservation notes because they had accommodated a disability-related request when we arrived. We love the Sun Inn because it is a cosy country pub in urban London. We keep coming back because of the service, food and atmosphere. If I had to cite one slight negative, it's that the music is too loud, unfortunately too common in London pubs. The music echoes easily inside, and add customers talking and it's hard to have a conversation at a normal level. But this is a small observation and won't keep us from returning to the Sun Inn again and again!

Just came in for a drink but the food looked and smelled amazing! Good and interesting drinks list with some unusual wines available by the glass. A lovely spot to spend an afternoon. Great staff, too!

We love the Sun Inn, it’s our favourite place to go, food or drinks are always amazing but what makes the place even more special is Ciro, through the times we have been to the pub we had a chance to talk to him, an absolute gem of a man, he is so easy to talk to, there is a spark and drive at work, we can see he is someone that truly enjoys his job and give himself to it but also so lovely to those around him, we love to thank the Sun inn and Ciro for his service and his genuine kindness.

Made my first visit recently and looking forward to going back. The Sunday lunch vibe was perfect - cosy venue, great food and my dog was welcome. Staff were friendly, a good selection of beers and the roast was a proper roast (I think that's a technical term?).

First time at this lovely Barnes pub was for lunch with 5 friends. We all enjoyed good food from a varied, interesting menu & were served by Julian who was warm, friendly & efficient. I had Crab Thermidor with an excellent glass of white wine, loved it!

The place is incredible to escape the cold and have a cozy dinner with friends and/or a partner. 100% recommended. Cino was very kind and attentive all the time.

Came on Sunday and had roast beef. Fantastic tender meat. Had the chocolate and cherry sundae . Did not expect to choose this but was also impressed (Kirch cherry). Very convivial atmosphere and friendly staff

DO NOT eat a Sunday roast here. Worst food I’ve had in years with literally zero redeeming qualities. Chicken presented terribly, super dry and taste like poo. All vegetables over cooked and just tasteless. Cauliflower cheese was a joke. Losing £64 for 2 was a bitter pill to swallow. Hope you guys can revamp the situation in your kitchen.

We came on Sunday late afternoon, had Sunday roast, fish and deserts are amazing as every. We accidentally confused the waitress with the orders and menu and still what to apologise. Thank you very much. We had a great time.

The first time I went to Sun Inn I thought the name was ironic since it was a cozy, dark, low ceilings, thick walled beamed old building. The kind of warm dark place you want and expect most days in the British Isles, but definitely don’t want on a sunny summer day. I had some cask ales and crisps and was very satisfied to come back again, but really just wanted to be outside in the sun. People from all walks of life stood and sat about and mingled with good energy. The next time I came I was in search for the Loo and walked past it emerging onto a vast patio garden full of fixed umbrellas, awnings seats and flowers. Children played ,hens and stags partied and still there was enough room outside for a few more groups! It was sunny, dogs barked and beautiful plates of food floated back and forth to tables. I think there might have been more seats in the garden than inside! I never knew it was there. This time when I went we strolled in for a pint and some warmth after a successful trip to the farmers market. My wife and I played cards by the fireplace with a pint and the dog enjoyed some healthy biscuits. We reminded ourselves to make a booking for the Chateaubriand-for-two. Our afternoon was increased in pleasure by our attendant Ciro. Ciro had the kindness and honest energy you want from all people. We conversed about travel and weather and watched as he balanced just the right amount of conversation without neglecting any other people too. To be honest we always intend to eat at Sun Inn but still haven’t got to it, but all the food looks very good. Sun, rain snow or grey, Sun Inn is one of the top spots to relax and enjoy for any situation.

Such a cozy place in the loveliest part of town. Always pleasure to come back for a pint.
