First time ordering on Just It ! And it tooks 1h20 instead of 30min max. The food was very good but gosh 1h

Although have been around Richmond for a long time, only in the last couple of months found The Railway Tavern to be a friendly, welcoming and functional place to visit. Friendly - Everyone who has served me has been polite, chilled and friendly. No issues whatsoever! I'd name some names, but I'm real all are just as great- keep it up guys. Welcoming - Many one off pop in people, but has its few regulars to add to the charm of the place. Atmosphere is great, parts that are quiet and parts that are more lively bar. Functional - I quite often work from home. So being able to grab a booth seat that had plug sockets and USB is good. Added bonus I really like is they are tucked right away - could be great for those who are anti-social and like to be left alone (like me sometimes), but mostly can have those quick calls on Zoom / Teams for work and not have background noise. Perfect! I can't rate the food myself as haven't had it yet. But those I've seen, it looked good. Hidden little secret in the busy town - today is Sunny and beer garden is quiet. Don't think people know it's here. All mine, it's quiet and gets captures the sun 🌞 Look forward to returning again!

Was served very quickly and professionally! Priya was very welcoming and wonderful. Clean pub, clean non sticky tables, clean loos and good music!

Very nice place and delicious food.

Even though we had our own personal booth and tv, the manager kept changing the channel away from the sport we wanted to watch. When asked why, he made excuses that the signal was getting lost but it wasn’t because we could see him changing the channels.

Great food. Friendly and efficient staff. Plenty of room. We had booked a table for 8. It was reserved. As it was busy, to reserve a table is a good idea.

The best place in Richmond to watch the match, very comfortable loads of screens, good food, and good selection of beers.

Lively pub to enjoy the football. Bit soulless. Staff were all miserable, about 4 male bar tenders and didn’t see one of them smile at customers. I asked to see a drinks menu and was told to get it from a table. I’d probably try other pubs before returning.

Brilliant service excellent quality of food and drink

It was easy to book a table on line and all the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the type of table location I chose was not available, so the seating arrangement was slightly cramped and not an ideal set up for both of us to watch the nearest screen. The ales were well-kept and the fish vey tasty, but the chips seemed to have been reheated and not freshly cooked. For £17.50 (even in Richmond), I feel the food should be of a higher quality. Overall, our experience was an enjoyable one and we will go back another Saturday after a Brentford Premier league match. Thank you

The gents behind the bar were so friendly and really made our experience! We didn't feel rushed, didn't have to wait and were served with a smile and a chat - what more could you ask for! Enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!!

I call into the Railway Tavern whenever I'm in Richmond. I have never been disappointed with the service or , the food, I spent an enjoyable evening with friends there and will call again, great atmosphere created by friendly staff..

Was visiting Richmond on a Saturday that happened to be very busy with rugby. Was lucky enough to get a table at this busy pub as some fans were heading to the match. Ordered food and drinks at the bar and enjoy a rugby match on the tv until our food arrived. Food was delicious and hot. Service at the bar and food drop off was great! Atmosphere was fun and full of rugby fans. Highly recommend and will definitely be back when in the area.

Se dejó caer por el fútbol se quedó por la comida, pero volverá por el ambiente El personal es excelente, no demasiado exigente pero muy dispuesto y atento. La comida no es barata, pero las porciones reflejan una gran relación calidad-precio. La cerveza está muy bien cuidada y el gerente parecía estar muy orgulloso de servir al Guinness. Lo envió a nuestra mesa, recordaba a nuestro viaje a Dublín. Tienen muchas pantallas y mostraron tanto el rugby como el fútbol, lo que fue una sorpresa bienvenida. También vi carreras de caballos.

I was on holiday and called into this Gastropub on Halloween evening ,we had a lovely meal the fish is amazing the staff were very attentive ,friendly and the service was great as we were starving after shopping all day ,the guy behind the bar is Irish and had time to talk with us definitely recommend the pub and food and will return if in Richmond again

Nos conocimos aquí antes del rugby. Parece que siguen siendo un bar de deportes, estaba tejiendo con una barbacoa al aire libre que quitó la presión, tomamos unas hamburguesas y un par de cervezas. El Guinness era increíble, pero en un plástico, aunque dado el rugby era una cosa de seguridad. No parece mucho desde fuera, pero es realmente grande por dentro. Vale la pena pasar por aquí.

Great pub, friendly and a nice one man show on Saturdays. Close to Richmond station. Good selection of taps. Also some of the booths have TVs which is great to watch the game in private.

Not to my liking the food was over priced beer wasn't that good either the place over all wasn't bad but I will not be going back

Nice pub, came here to eat and watch rugby, Totally disappointed with the food, I ordered a fish and chips, there was a lovely tartare sauce and the fish was fresh but the chips were old and lukewarm and the mushy peas was ice cold - expected a lot better for the price especially since the pub was not remotely busy. Nice atmosphere but wouldn’t get food here again.

It's OK,food is very expensive,I'll go to weatherspoons for that.

Very good. Extremely nice staff and food was better than expected. The atmosphere is also more pleasant than usual in this kind of establishment, because the music is not so loud and very well chosen. Convenient location near the train station.

Dropped by after a long time away from Richmond for the Rugby. The old tavern is still there and ever better for it. Refurbished and looking great, had a burger in their BBQ which was delicious and a few pints ahead of the all blacks game. Plastics in match day was a bummer but understandable but the drink was cold and the plastics were the good quality ones.

I was here a few times ,is it nice and clean, I had few pints, unfortunately the beer wasn't so good , was too bitter (of course my opinion) , next time I will try something else..

A great station pub by Richmond station! A great size for large groups, good pub grub and a little beer garden 🪴 Always a good shout whether it’s to stop off at coming into Richmond or heading out, you are always welcome and the late nights are great fun. Something for all drinks, food, music and sports!

Very nice pub,clean and friendly. I had a cheese and bacon 🍔, the meat in the Patti was very good quality and I ordered a drink with my meal and got a meal deal which was a good surprise.

Ocupado pub a las 18: 00 aunque sí el euro estaba encendido y salía en pantalla en los televisores de allí. Mesa tomada y comida bebida pedida, personal amable y servicial. Lo que no parecía mucho tiempo nuestra comida apareció caliente 2 x bangers y puré... muy sabroso de hecho. El menú es bastante variado y buena relación calidad-precio. Si estoy de vuelta o estamos de vuelta es volver aquí. Recomendar

Whenever I am in Richmond, which is about once a month, I always visit The Railway Tavern. I even took my (now) wife there for our first date and even she (who is very, very hard to please) was impressed. Always a very warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. The food is lovely and the outside area is fantastic, especially in the Summer. Simply put, if you are in Richmond, head here and you will not be disappointed.

The atmosphere was electrifying. My friend and I was very hungry, so we asked Ali for a suggestion. Ali was very friendly and generous, and he recommended Nicholson's Burger and Halloumi Fries. The food was absolutely delicious. We spoke with the chefs, Pete and Daniel, to express our appreciation. We've never tasted such a great dish before. If you enjoy watching sports, you should definitely visit this pub—it offers fantastic food, cocktail 🍹 and mocktail 🍸 🍸 and ambience is fantastic 👌👌

£7.60 for a pint of watery Paulaner £6.80 for a couple of loaded chips, tasty but very little and crazy money. Another rip off pub, and thety wonder why the pub trade is going down.

Excelente ubicación, justo al lado de la estación de tren / metro. Muy ocupado el día que vinimos debido al rugby en Twickenham. Pequeño bar tan poco de una pelea de vagabundos para recibir servicio, pero los 3 miembros del bar trabajan muy duro para pasar a través de todos lo más rápido que pudieron. Ambiente agradable y limpio y acogedor. llamará de nuevo.

I'm not really sure I can comment on atmosphere as I was there on a Sunday morning for breakfast but judging by the effort they had made for the Euro footy, with all the flags etc it's not difficult to imagine the atmosphere being great😂 I can definitely say the food was good, drink choices looked really good (too early to try sadly!) and the staff member I spoke to was very friendly. Absolutely recommend.

The man who served me was brilliant, cannot fault, but the barmaid saw me waiting and just stood there and served a man who came to the bar straight away. Only reason for 3 stars for service.

Heading off to the rugby coming in from Windsor. Great spot with extreamly friendly staff. They sorted me out with the free shuttle servuce to twickers. Excellent guinness

My friend and I recently visited the Railway Tavern in Richmond, and it was a brilliant experience. The food was absolutely stunning! It was clear the ingredients were high quality and cooked to perfection. The drinks selection was also excellent, with a great variety and everything very well-made. The pub itself had a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We couldn't have asked for a better evening. Highly recommend the Railway Tavern for anyone looking for a delicious meal and great drinks in a welcoming pub. 5 stars!

Visited the railway again this year, but disgusted to see bar staff pouring contents of drip trays into glasses and then topping up and serving them. I thought that appalling practice stopped years ago. Won’t be visiting again after this.

Went here on a Saturday for food and a drink. Despite the pub being incredibly busy, I got served very fast and the staff were all lovely. I had a chicken burger which was made by the chef named Sacheen and it was phenomenal. I didn’t know they had live music as well which was a real treat! I will definitely be back again 😊

Great place to grab a pint after work and watch some sport, staff are lovely and very helpful even the owner was downstairs serving and was friendly believe his name was Daren the team helped us find a great table to watch sport definitely will be back for the euros

Great beer !!! finally got the difference between a canned and fresh Guinness! Rocking burgers to go along with it, love being there with my mates, and the super friendly lads.

This pub has a great location, conveniently situated right next to the train station. The staff were exceptionally friendly. While the "beer garden" is more of a shaded patio area at the back, it's still a nice spot to relax. I only went for drinks, but the food I saw being served looked fairly decent. I recommend this place if you're looking for a quick drink before catching a train.

Loved the ambience and sitting space......

A quieter than expected pub just down from the railway station. Plenty of space inside with a little raised area as you enter and heaps of seating out the back together with TVs to watch whatever sporting event you want. There is also outdoor seating to the side out the back. The staff were nice and The Guinness was great as was the Timothy Taylor's Landlord.

The food was delicious, a little bit pricey but not too crazy. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were amazing! It was my birthday and they made the extra effort for me (I think Anooj was our waiter - shout out to him!) Will definitely go back!

Only popped in for glass of wine and a beer but found a very pleasant atmosphere and extremely friendly staff 23/11/23 was in Richmond and again popped in this time we had a couple of their famous pies and was extremely pls and again atmosphere was great and staff extremely helpful and pleasant 2/4/24 Again popped in after the theatre and still a great pub with great selection didn't have food this time but really enjoyed the visit and forgot to get my Nicholsons stamps .

A visit to the Railway Tavern on a wet spring day. All went well! A fine selection of keg beers and ciders along with a generous selection of cask ales. A lovely pub close to Richmond station. It is large with lots of crooks and nannies. A small (wettish) patio garden at the rear. Great service, a good place for a pint in Richmond.

Made to feel welcome by friendly experienced staff. Clean,organised and well maintained. Great beer.
