The best restaurants serving British food in City of London, Westminster London

Not welcome if you just want a drink on deck. We called on a Monday lunchtime for a bottle of wine on their empty deck but were turned away by the manager who said they were only accepting reservations. The indoor section was also virtually empty. We went instead to the nearby Tattershall where the wine was cheaper, nicer and deck was much more comfortable. Shame as we had been customers of the Hispaniola for many years.

Rellené el formulario en el sitio web y recibí una respuesta por correo electrónico diciendo que el Wine Lounge no estaba disponible, pero la Eastway Brasserie estaba disponible. Tuvimos una maravillosa visita el domingo por la tarde. Servicio atento, tetera y tazas encantadoras y buena comida. También había especificado requisitos dietéticos como parte de mi intercambio de correo electrónico (vegetariano, sin gluten y sin lactosa) y tuvieron todo eso en cuenta en la comida servida.

Good food and excellent friendly service particularly from Carlton in a relaxed environment. Good selection of wines added to an enjoyable meal. Will definitely revisit. Great location as well.

Un buen lugar para la experiencia del pub. Tomó la cerveza llena que se sirve a temperatura ambiente. Es bueno. Tuvimos unos aperitivos ingleses y comida. Se habían quedado sin algunas cosas. Lo cual encuentro que es generalmente para Europa. Lo que teníamos era bueno.

I was really looking forward to coming here, but found the pies had little flavour, was expensive to add things to the dish such as veg or mash. My pie was not warm at all and was really disappointed, staff were not helpful and chairs and tables were not comtortable.

La comida aquí era fantástica, tuvimos costillas y lasaña para los platos principales, ambos estaban cocinados maravillosamente y sabían tan bien. Lo que no nos gustó fue la pareja de borrachos ardiente a nuestro lado que eran tan ruidosos y molestos y al tipo se le dio más bebida cuando se enojó de todos modos. Me alegro cuando se fueron.

Went here on Monday night and I have to say, I can't believe I waited so long, it was sensational, I cant wait to go back! We asked our amazing waiter (Thomas) to recommend what he thought was good and it didn't disappoint Some of what we ate- Corn ribs which blew us away, not sure how you can make corn taste so good!? Mushroom parfait, we aren't massive mushroom fans but this was superb, like spreading chocolate mousse on toast Flame seared mussles- of the chart good!! The dressing, I could have drunk it, absolutely amazing flavours on the this plate, probably my favourite Burger- delicious We can't wait to return and try some more bits, top tip, try things you don't think you wouldn't normally pick lovely place, lovely staff, really loved our evening here Thank you again to Thomas for being so amazing!!

This was my third visit and the new menu is absolutely stunning I started with warm Artisan bread with whipped butter which was delicious followed by Confied duck press with Cornichons as a starter, the main I chose was catch of the week which was River Trout served on pureed parsnip it was perfectly cooked and just melted in my mouth, although I could barely move I couldn't resist the Paris Brest caramelised pistachio mousseline dessert which was divine The service is always top class and I am always made to feel special it was a lovely lunch experience my friend and I were given a lovely guided tour of the beautiful building where the port was produced Thank you for another great meal I will definitely be returning

El mercado de City / Leadenhall todavía está muy vacío después del cierre, pero decidimos comer pescado de todos modos y aventurarnos a Loch Fyne. El restaurante era todo para nosotros ya que otra mesa estaba saliendo. El servicio fue excelente, amable y atento. Las estrellas de la comida fueron la sopa de pescado y la lubina, que yo había asado a la parrilla con Pak Choi y puré de patatas. El pescado estaba súper fresco, limpio y muy "con mucha carne". Felicitaciones al Chef! ¡Una hermosa botella de Bollinger a solo 60 fue la guinda del pastel! ¡Gracias Monica, Mikaela y Michael por el gran servicio!

From working in London but now retired to South Devon, I was planning to visit and catch up with Simon & Roff in the next two weeks One of the few independent quality wine bars is lost. No soy un gran fan de los grandes hoteles de negocios, prefiero los pequeños hoteles boutique, pero en Park Lane lo he reconsiderado. Elijo hoteles por ubicación según la primera cita que tengo a la mañana siguiente y está perfectamente ubicado al lado de Hyde Park Corner, pero el acceso es a través de una calle lateral muy tranquila. En resumen, no te sientes en medio de una autopista, como suele ser el caso en Londres. Mi habitación era pequeña, pero muy bien diseñado y equipado, con una bonita vista del parque a pesar de que estaba en un piso bajo, creo que el 5o piso. El personal de recepción era amable y eficiente. Cometieron un error con la reserva y confirmaron solo una noche, cuando había solicitado dos, y en el registro de entrada encontraron inmediatamente una solución a pesar de que el hotel estaba lleno: asumir sus propios errores es una cualidad que pocos hoteleros tienen. Desayuno espectacular. Es bastante caro, pero al final vale la pena estar en el centro de Londres. Lo recomiendo.

Pre reservado una mesa ya que iban al teatro al lado. Teníamos un libro para las 6 p.m., que pensé que habría sido suficiente tiempo antes de un 7. 30 pm teatro. El servicio fue lento, y tuvimos que apurar la cena para acercarnos a la hora de inicio. La comida estaba bien, nada espectacular. El restaurante estaba muy ocupado. Anteriormente he estado con otros dentro del grupo y estaba mucho más feliz con la comida y el servicio. Es fantástico que le ofrezcan la opción de pagar la factura en línea y aprovechó este servicio, una muy buena idea.

Jessica era increíble! Escuchando mi triste gofre como estaba en Bristol para un tribunal... todavía esperando el resultado del whisky escribiendo esto. Gracias por ser tan amable y cariñoso. . . lo que hiciste y cómo fuiste es apreciado ❤️ hiciste que este día fuera mejor para mí así que gracias ¡La galleta fue increíble! Casi se va... X
