Palm Court in City of London, Westminster

Went for the Festive Afternoon Tea on Monday 20th November for my Mother-in-laws 90th Birthday. The experience was absolutely amazing, The Palm Court is just spectacular especially with all the Christmas decorations and the food delicious, staff excellent, service spot on! She loved every minute of it especially when a waiter presented her with a bag containing a lovely selection of gifts, it reduced her to tears, happy ones that is. Once again an amazing afternoon tea, thank The Ritz for making it magical The Bell Family

I tried to made reservations for Tea for Two at the Ritz. I did this online. The website performed poorly and I tried several times to no avail. I finally gave up. I never received any correspondence from the Ritz so I gave up and assumed I had no reservation. Then I received my AMEX bill and on it I had a charge for 200 pounds for tea at the Ritz which I did NOT have. I have contacted both Amex and the Ritz and have been given the run around. The Ritz insists that I confirmed the reservation which I did not. They can not send me the email saying that I confirmed the reservation as they do not have it but insist I did so by checking on a link? They insist I owe them 200 pounds. Go to Tea somewhere else.

As fast as afternoon tea goes, what could be more quintessentially British than tea at The Ritz. I’m not sure you could ask for more than the service, attention to detail and delicious delicacies you’ll experience if you treat yourself to this. The room is stunning and has a luxurious feel. The team catered to my dietary requirements meticulously and we all enjoyed every morsel. Perfection!

We had the famous afternoon tea here, with another couple, please be aware you do need to adhere to dress code,men will need suit and tie. The sandwiches are refilled as many times as you like , and the cake trolley comes around later on. The scones were a big disappointment,more like a bread roll with some currants, Most of us left them which was really not what we expected , but the other items were very good. We had the champagne which was very good too. Yea was ok,not earth shattering.

Ambience was perfect for afternoon tea. Staff were friendly but would really like to especially commend J, the server, who attended to us. 5 stars to this guy. The tea sandwiches were delicious and we really liked the egg sandwich. They were so good we had seconds. There was an excellent selection of teas. I and my friends liked the ff: 1. Chocolate mint rooibos 2. Moroccan mint 3. Oolong formosa 4. Russian caravan The desserts were excellent as well and they even offered to have them wrapped to go. The Ritz afternoon tea… a must when in London at GBP72/pax.

Had a lovely visit for Afternoon tea. Service was good but had several waiters attending our table which I thought was unusual. Would have preferred a dedicated waiter. Surrounding were amazing, definitely 5 stars. The afternoon tea was generous with plenty of sandwiches and cakes, however there were too many sandwiches and some other savoury items would have been better. My daughter was gluten free and granddaughter was vegetarian and they were well provided for. To summarise it was a lovely day but definitely not the best afternoon tea I’ve had.

Wow.. Wow!! We arrived at Ritz for a special occasion and had our reservation made few months in advance for tea time at Ritz London. As soon as you enter the classical chic building you are treated as Royalty. The staff were professional, friendly and warm. The food was delicious including all different finger sandwiches and the fresh bakes scones were amazing. It was truly a magical afternoon spent at this gem of the place in London.

This was a wonderful afternoon tea, beautiful ambiance- great food- wonderful service and a beautiful piano player. One should experience this at least once in a lifetime…

I enjoyed High Tea at The Ritz in London which has been on my bucket list for many years. They did not disappoint! It was an experience which started with drinks at the Rivoli Bar preceded by seeing Anna Wintour and her date descend the staircase dressed fabulously which was captured by paparazzi. Our wait staff was beyond wonderful and truly made our experience something to remember. The food and tea were truly outstanding perhaps only eclipsed by the elegant Palm Court atmosphere. Highly recommend; worth every penny without a doubt.

Die Kellner waren aufmerksam und freundlich, es gab eine große Auswahl an erlesenen Tees und die Auswahl und Qualität der Sandwiches, Cakes und Scones war exquisit. Wir hatten sogar eine vegane Variante, welche ebenfalls vom Feinsten war. Was wir nicht aufessen konnten, wurde automatisch in eine Kuchenbox verpackt zum mitnehmen. Ein Highlight unserer London-Reise. Absolut empfehlenswert.

To be honest i am out of words to describe how amazing your quintessentially British Afternoon Tea experience is!!! My mom an I visited The Ritz London on 26.09.2023 at 19.30 for the Afternoon Tea and i must admit that even though we’ve had high expectations this experience was far beyond our best expectations and dreams. We’ve been in some of the best hotels around the world including in Tokyo and New York but so far this is probably the best place personally i have been. Everything was perfect - the atmosphere, the interior, the music, the food ( the scones with Cornish clotted cream and The Ritz Royal English Tea were the best, the sandwiches were so delicious and the cakes make you feel like Marie Antoinette) but most of all - the staff. The people are those who really make the difference and add value to the whole experience at The Ritz - the hotel which looks like a magical place out of a fairytale. The Staff - Giuliana, Luigi and the rest of the boys which names i also want to mention but unfortunately I don’t know, they were all so kind and polite, with huge smile on their faces and in a very professional way they made us feel so comfortable and like real royalties at the same time. We received the best table and a box with cakes for home but most of all we left with the feeling that we lived our royal fairytale for about an hour and a half. This is priceless! This is one in a lifetime experience and i will always remember and associate London with it. The Ritz you are the heart and the soul of London!!! Thank you!!! We will come back!

We visited the ritz for afternoon tea on what ended up being the hottest day of the year. I called head and asked if the men’s dress code could be relaxed (not wear a jacket) and was told it was policy for men to wear a jacket walking through the hotel but could take it off at our table. We did just this. As we entered to the hotel, there was a group of men in the reception area with no jackets or ties. (Which differs from the rules of the policy) As quick as my partner took his jacket off when we were seated, the waiter requested he put it back on immediately. I explained I called ahead and was told this would be ok. He said no and commented he had been running around all day at work in his suite so not sure why we are complaining! We abided by the rules but was treated differently to other guests. The waiter was rude to us and we ended up leaving just 1hour into our experience. I complained via email following our visit and received a response apologising for the incorrect information regarding taking a jacket off and was offered a complimentary glass of champagne at our next visit. There was no acknowledgment of the poor service and rudeness by the waiter. Our experience was really disappointing and we will not be returning.

We visited The Ritz for afternoon tea. Unfortunately we found the sandwiches and selection of desserts very disappointing. Although they have many tea options on the menu, the ones we tried were extremely weak and lacked flavour. Nothing special. Although the food was unlimited we felt we didn’t want to eat anymore. The scones however, were a good size with creamy clotted cream. Staff were well informed and trained - they explained the menu well. They were all immaculately dressed. The live band added to the opulent and grandeur ambience. This experience was definitely style over substance.
