The best restaurants serving British food in London

Meant to be open until 10pm. I walked in at 9:15pm and they turned me away as had turned everything off and started cleaning down. This is the second time this has happened.

Hi came here this morning 9am it’s quite big inside lots of seating . I ordered the all day breakfast and they substituted my tomato for a hash brown. I ordered decaf tea . My friend Also had the same breakfast she ordered a coffee which was cold . So they replaced it. When the food came it was luke warm and my egg yolk had broken So it was flat my friends egg was nicer looking with the yolk still intact . I had one of everything. My tea went cold very quick so I didn’t Drink it . Food is cheap here You get a drink with certain meals . I went to the bathroom the handle on the disabled toilet door was falling off and needs fixing . The sausage was nice enough . Lots of beans which is good . The servers were nice , but I’m not sure I’d be back .

Great experience, superb surroundings with all comfort imaginable for business setting , well trained , professional and courteous team. Appreciate how welcoming IoD was to us and will definitely be back. While access to Pall Mall is one of many membership perks , it certainly is a significant one.

We have been to this cafe many times. The staff are lovely and the breakfasts always great. I decided to have some carrot cake and it was very very dry. Good customer service is how you deal with problems. I took the cake back, and the manager advised me the cake had been in the fridge due to the hot weather. I was offered other cakes that had not been refrigerated but I opted for a refund which was given without question. Amazing customer service. Thank you.

food was just about warm. Fish was not the quality I would expect from a takeaway.

A really grim and mean lunch today. Very poor indeed. A ludicrously parsimonious prawn cocktail followed by dry turkey with truly foul potatoes and stuffing balls. Absolute waste of a lunch opportunity.

Friendly small place to have a nice cup of coffee.

Great place, great food, great service

We both had the pie & mash bowl with 1/2 beef gravy & 1/2 “liquor” (a greenish gravy) & we loved it. The owner was very personable and proud of the reputation she’s built over the decades. It was the best local fare we had in London and also the most affordable meal during our stay. But bring CASH. No cards are accepted.

La comida era excelente, no puede ir mal con el pollo supremo o hamburguesa. Mientras que la comida gana 5 estrellas por sí sola, el verdadero punto destacado fue el GM Duncan. Este hombre se tomó el tiempo de su noche CLARAMENTE ocupada para sentarse y charlar con algunos estadounidenses despistados sobre la selección de cerveza, nos regaló historias maravillosas y una gran conversación. Él fue capaz de señalarnos a algunos otros lugares de la ciudad que disfrutamos, incluyendo un bar temático de Filadelfia para recordarnos a casa. Quítate el sombrero a Duncan pero también al equipo de la cocina. Alrededor de una experiencia maravillosa.

I want to say a big thank you! It’s really a great place with tasty and big dishes, friendly and high-skilled team. Tasty coffee and all drinks too We tried smoothie, coffee , breakfast #3 , big omelette with salmon, and salad with avocado. It was excellent, chef and his team are a great professionals! 100% will come Back here❤️

Lovely atmosphere, welcoming staff and a cracking pint. A warm, well maintained and gorgeous feel good factor about the place; well worth a visit.

If you are looking for specialty coffee, you found it. The barristas make great espresso. My wife enjoyed her cappucino. I had the Racer from Rwanda. Bought a pack to brew at home.
