The best restaurants serving British food in London

I was very excited to try this restaurant whilst visiting London and made a reservation for a late dinner on a Friday evening a few days before arriving in London. The restaurant comes from the founders of a famous London wine bar/market. I left underwhelmed. The service was aloof and “too cool for school;” the server showed no interest in helping us with menu choices or pairing interesting wines with what we selected. The server also didn’t seem to have much interest in whether we liked the food. I didn’t really like the food. It was not bad, but it was not outstanding or particularly inspirational. Prawns to start were served with an under-seasoned sauce; fish stew was nothing special. The space is okay, but a little spartan. I liked what they were going for but wanted a few cozier touches. Overall, not a place I’d seek to return. Whilst not a horrible meal, it wasn’t a great one, either, and much better experiences can be had for this price point in London.

Amazing service from Sonny especially. The staff are all very attractive, but all have personality, unlike luke KuBar. The staff here are amazing, even security. Will definitely return. Ku Bar beware, your customers are coming here

Afternoon lunch , Food was very poor, ham egg and chips , both my eggs were like bullets , if the chef can’t cook an egg then what’s the point .starter if bbq wings which was so dry and over cooked . Very disappointing , won’t be returning .

Primero de los perros en el pub es una cosa, pero pudimos tolerar. Durante la cena, el perro decidimos vomitar todo el piso! El dueño era grosera y no se disculpó, pero incluso peor el personal de servicio tenía la desfachatez de decir "no podemos controlar lo que los perros no"!!! de verdad!

Lovely pub! Friendly people; delicious Guinness & pizzas - a great spot to catch up with a friend and/or watch sport on the TV.

Exceeded every expectation, came here for breakfast during my first time solo travelling and was greeted very warmly. The food was delicious and perfectly priced

Tuvimos una comida realmente excelente aquí para el cumpleaños de mi marido el lunes por la noche - tristemente la única mesa de comedor mientras estuvimos allí, lo que fue una pena ya que el menú era muy interesante e inventivo, la comida muy bien cocinada, realmente delicioso con sabores matizados. Tanto los vegetarianos como los que comen carne estaban muy bien atendidos. Sabrosos cócteles y una buena selección de vinos también. Personal amable también. Definitivamente merece ser mejor conocido como un muy buen restaurante local, y nos hizo preguntarnos por qué no habíamos estado más a menudo. Espero que volvamos pronto.

A great place to stop over near to airport. The food was lovely. We had lamb samosas to start, they were amazing. Then we had chicken makhani curry and a chicken wrap and chips. Everything was very nice and good value. The service was also excellent. In my experience, the low reviews are unfair.

Not Hotel review. A customer, named Leo C asked delivery and he took the food and asked Just eat to refund. So shameful.
