The person who worked there never wanted us there and accused us Exeter fans of leaving the toilets dirty when it was only a roll of toilet paper on the floor that could of just been picked up but this worker banned us Exeter fans going into the pub

£39 for a 3 course Sunday lunch or £36 for 2 courses?! No veggie roast dinner option although I was offered frozen veg sausages or just a load of veg. It was VERY expensive for an average service and an ok meal. The carrots were hard and no green veg but other than that it was ok just VERY expensive for what it was. Also the front.l of the building needs some attention, entering is quite depressing with peeling paint etc Also we ate in the bar and a local came in and was chatting away to the bar man and frequently swearing at high wasn’t pleasant

Just to say thank you to all at Nottcutts for a special Mother’s Day brunch, and even though it was busy, the service was absolutely fabulous! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. My mum loved the whole experience, from start to finish, and it made the day feel really special. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

This is a lovely pub with a great menu. The food is home cooked and the staff are excellent. We had a family meal in the front of the pub near the log burner. We were very much looked after by the staff. The menu was excellent with some great classics. I had the pie of the week which was steak and ale. I had a very generous slice which was packed with filling. I chose mash and veg which was cooked to perfection. A bonus was a complimentary jug of extra gravy. Very reasonable prices and would highly recommend. Thank you for a great experience.

Friendly local pub which is happy to welcome my dog as well as me! Called in for a quick lunch and enjoyed a delicious seafood linguini from the Specials board. Sat outside in the sunshine and could almost imagine I was on holiday. Good to see such great food back on the menu.

Our first visit here after the takeover from the Tiptree Jam company. Rather disappointed. We were accommodated quickly despite a number of other tables already being reserved however why are dogs allowed inside the restaurant especially jappy dogs that don't like each other?? Really concerned that we saw one of the members of staff petting a dog and feeding it in between serving customers!!!! In the past dog lovers were served outside. One couple chose their cakes while holding their dogs in their arms right next to the cake display. I had the half size breakfast which was not hot when served. The streaky bacon was in bits and looked awful on the plate, the poached egg was over cooked and hard and it certainly was not served with sour dough bread as described on the menu. The bread was ordinary sliced granary bread! My husband had the Eggs Benedict and also had overcooked poached eggs - not the 'perfectly poached' ones promised by the menu under a bright yellow Hollandaise sauce. Clearly it is attracting customers but it will be interesting to see how it survives in the summer when the area gets really busy and the traditional passing customers do not want to pay the prices or eat this rather pretentious food. Tiptree knew their target audience. Customers certainly have to be prepared to pay high prices for very average food which is very creatively described on the menu!
