Dear Notcutts, I recently visited your garden centre in Brampton, Cambridgeshire. I was met with a wonderful employee, Gemma, who went over and above to source a Heritage wing back button chair. Gemma sourced the chair over several weeks from another store, arranged delivery to Brampton so I could try it. Gemma, kept me informed of the progress of her searches and getting the chair delivered over several weeks by email and phone. The chair was delivered to store on 24.10.24, I viewed it on 25.10.24 and will be collecting it on 26.10.24. Gemma is an absolute asset to your company, professional, friendly, strives to provide excellent customer service and in my case has gone over and above to provide a truly remarkable outcome. I cannot thank her enough. I’d be grateful if you could pass on my gratitude to her and the CEO Nick Burrows. I believe she deserves huge recognition for her outstanding customer service and for providing a wonderful shopping experience. Kindest regards Leah O

Very clean and tidy garden centre with a great selection of plants/gifts/food to buy. Houseplant selection especially good. All plants looked healthy and well cared for. Had cheese scone, cake and coffee in the cafe which was very good. Cheerful, helpful staff. Xmas display is in progress, looks very promising. Signed up for loyalty card which is £12 per year which gives 10% discount on everything apart from the cafe, as we spent nearly £100 but still earned 10% discount the card only cost a couple of pounds. We will be back 😊

First time we have been since the take over from Frosts. We used to visit regularly when it was Frosts and we wont be going back under Notcutts. We were a group of four and ordered four different meals. One meal was excellent and the other three were very average at best. What really surprised us was how grubby the glasses and the cutler were. When I asked for more folks to be brought out, i waited to speak to the staff member. When she arrived, she was about to drop a handful of folks into a filthy tray. I stopped her and pointed out the filth in the tray, its had food stuffs and thick dust in the bottom. I suggested that it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. She quickly had all three of them taken away as they were all much of alike. When we left after a very average meal, my phone was actually stuck to the table, it was that sticky. We paid £93 for four meals and seven drinks. I would have considered this fair had the food been good and the place clean, but it wasn’t.

My wife and I had been looking for a patio furniture set and found a larger version of the one we wanted at Notcutts in Brampton. Unfortunately the store had sold out and we were told after extensive checks that there would be none available until next Spring. Not to be deterred staff members Ange and Pete searched the country and found the only one left in the UK at another store. They with the agreement of the store manager arranged to have this patio set picked up and personally delivered to our home address the next day. The customer service we received was above and beyond and Ange and Pete showed how customers should be treated, and there are many other stores and service providers that could learn a lot from their attitude.

Firstly, the stack of clean trays were all soaking wet with water running off them, as were the glasses next to the water machine. We ordered sausage and mash, and the toasted cheese and tomato ciabatta sandwich. The sausage and mash arrived without the crispy leek and carrot topping which was flagged up to the waitress. She informed us, after checking with kitchen staff, that they had run out of it (this had not been mentioned when we were ordering). My friend then asked her if an alternative vegetable could be provided. After another visit to the kitchen, we were told that other vegetable would take too long to prepare (this turned out to be untrue as, after raising the matter later with a supervisor, we were told that other vegetables are always readily available). My ciabatta was pale, tasteless and soggy, looking like it had been microwaved rather than toasted. Anyway, we were offered a cake by way of an 'apology' which we declined. A horrible meal and such a shame as meals, when it was Frosts, were always of such good quality. We definitely won't be going there again.

Just called in for a quick snack as were running late after leaving the hospital. Not a good start in the car park as three of the six blue badge disabled spaces were taken up by cars that were not displaying a blue badge so we couldn't get a space there. The "standard" car spaces were further reduced due to a coach parking along a whole row. When we entered the restaurant there were numerous tables piled with dirty crockery and detritus and few vacant tables. Not a good first impression. There were only six trays at the beginning of the counter and I had to get down to the fifth before I found a clean one. My wife said her cake was nice but the sausage roll I had was greasy, had little flavour and was unappetising.

My friends and I came for a Christmas afternoon tea in one of the igloos and had a really lovely visit. The food - lots of different sandwiches, a stunning almond and cranberry scone with jam and Rodda's cream and assorted little cakes and a mini trifle were really delicious. One of our group is vegan and a great alternative tea was provided with provencal sandwiches, Indian bites, a mushroom bruschetta (delicious!) and lots of mini cakes. The restaurant manager looked after us so well and kept us plied with fresh tea. We would thoroughly recommend Notcutts at Brampton as a venue for a get-together!

We opted for a pod which was decorated for Christmas with a great heater and furry blankets if we needed them. We had a vegan tea for one person which looked delicious and was rated highly. The rest had the seasonal tea which consisted of beautifully fresh and tasty sandwiches, a sausage roll, scone jam and cream and assorted cake. Fortunately boxes were provided to take home any items which we couldn’t manage! The tea flowed constantly and the staff were attentive and most helpful. We would all recommend this as a delicious treat.

Although I say it's over priced, I do actually visit fairly often. We often take a walk over to Frosts to visit their café which offers a great range of refreshments and cakes etc all at a typical garden centre inflated price. However, I have never been disappointed or dissatisfied with the quality of the food and drinks served. The seating area is ample, it's always clean and tidy and there's a little play area for the kids, in the summer there's a fantastic sand pit in the garden which the little ones love, there's also plenty of outdoor seating too I've never actually bought anything from the garden centre... I did look at a hose once but it was 2x the price of amazon so I left it.Overall I can highly recommend the cafe, so long as you don't mind the prices. The title of this review just about says it all. Nice selection of fresh leafed teas and some of the cakes had me tempted to break my healthy eating push. I did resist, but only just! This is a big airey cafe area within a popular garden centre, but on a day with awful weather, it wasn't overly busy when I got there. However, spotting an empty table (and there were lots of empty ones) that wasn't piled high with dirty crockery was quite a feat. This gives an awful impression. Added to the painfully slow service, I. Old see that not much improvement has been made. Clearly the management need to look at staffing!

Went here for afternoon tea for hubbys birthday and it was lovely. We've had a few bad experiences with afternoon teas recently but this was well worth the money. Service was also great, we had our toddler with us and they gave her several juices (which weren't included in the price). Only small niggle would be they didn't bring us spoons to eat pudding with/for tea and we had to ask them to refill hot drinks.

Overcrowded environment, staff looked miserable not wanting to be there. Hardly any clean tables available to sit at and when we asked a staff member nicely to clean the table she looked slightly annoyed walking off only to come back around 10 minuets later lazily wiping the crumbs off of it.

This is a nice place to go for a meal or just a cup of tea. The place looks good and there is usually a good choice of fresh food on the menu. The staff are profession and friendly, especially Lara who was very good. I will come again.

We met up with friends for coffee at Frosts Brampton. They had a great selection of cakes and coffees. A very comfortable seating area and a great outside area. A lovely garden centre - well worth a visit.

Nice Garden Centre and from what I accessed of the shop very nice. My wheelchair couldn't get into several areas due to displays being too close together. In particular children's toys and books, as being in holiday I was looking for a gift for my 4 year old grandson at home. Outside are mostly great but at one area where a large water creature was there was a thick hose that I couldn't get over to see the feature.. The one time I get a bit of independence in browsing in a shop where I manage to self propel myself.. I needed help which was most annoying and access issues were witnessed by other members of the public..which i felt embarrassing. After a browse through the Centre we had lunch in the Cafe which was nice except again access the way in was blocked by a table with a cake display on it so I had to try navigate between display and people waiting in queue for coffee and came I think. Cake display was situated under a window on a scorching got day in an area not refrigerated possibly poor choice of situation.

A friend & I called in here at the end of the day 4pm for a drink & cake. The restaurant/cafe is spotless and the staff at first were friendly but clueless when I asked about vegan options they really didn’t seem able to suggest any options other than muttering “ not sure “ eventually saying they would go and ask in the kitchen. The answer eventually came back as no and I was offered a naked bar which was frankly pathetic. One young member of the team thought it was amusing enough to mock the request for vegan options and thought it was some kind of joke! I was tempted to refer him to peta articles in the way animals are treated but I felt someone who demonstrated such ignorance for other people’s choices in food would be wasted. This young mans attitude really lets down the team here. People serving food in any establishment should have a basic knowledge of dietary options and be respectful of anyone’s choices regarding that choice. The garden centre is very nice and I would go back again and hopefully have a better experience.

Not one of these mega-mega garden centres although it does sell a lot of the usual big garden centre stuff like soaps and garden furniture and ornaments etc. etc. but mainly plants. The roses seemed expensive compared with the fantastic tree nursery (which you will find just up the adjoining lane with a small sign, that place had some fantastic roses at less than half the price than here). HOwever I got some unusual petunias at Frosts and the plants were well cared for and you can get pretty well anything you want there in a convenient way.

After a good Sunday lunch here last week l was taken for a Father's Day treat today. However it was a disappointment, they were ten minutes into lunch service and had ran out of roast pork and roster potatoes, l would normally have had my second choice of chicken but it looked well underdone with pale skin, blood visible in the breast meat, on asking when the pork would be restocked along with the potatoes we were informed ten minutes for pork a couple of minutes for the potatoes. We opted to order the roast pork and wait the ten minutes or so, more than 30 minutes later our meals were served, l would have preferred some honesty from the serving staff as one of our group had finished his meal before ours had arrived, plus we had finished our drinks aswell. This has definitely put us off going again for a while or not going on a weekend as they cannot manage the surge in diners.

This was very much a case of coffee and cakes as part of a trip looking at garden furniture, so I won't be able to comment on main meals etc. What I can say is that the coffee was OK and the cakes OK. Nothing special. The service was rather slow and their seemed to be a reluctance to getting tables cleared. Somewhere I would go again, but perhaps being busy on a weekend at this time of the year should be predicted and adequate staffing in place.

Visited for breakfast and had the traditional. The sausage was lovely. Would have been good if toast was included rather than paying extra.

Visited Frosts of Brampton last week and was disgusted with the standard of food, and the standard of non cleanliness. My friend ordered a hot sausage roll which was dripping in fat and the pastry was not cooked. All the sliced cakes are dry and stale and the scones are like bullets not at all fresh. The restaurant was packed being half term so all the tables were in use, found a table and asked the staff to clean and clear away previous crockery etc but there was food all over the floor around the table and no one bothered to clean it. This is not the first time I have noticed the staleness of the cakes, the only thing I would anticipate having is toast. Having now seen the standard of the some of the hot food I would not attempt to ever have it myself.

Was looking forward to the salmon fish cakes. However, due to demand one hour waiting time at 12.45. Had instead baked potatoes with beans. As a rule we don't really find these good value for money. Although to day 2 for 1. Service was very chaotic today!

A gorgeous country pub, which has been renovated to an extremely high standard. Beautiful decor and a cosy feel, plus delicious food! The staff were really friendly and accommodating towards my son’s allergy. We will definitely visit again!

Booked a table for a Xmas lunch back in September. Arrived to the greeting you’ll have to wait an hour for food cos we’ve two big groups in. No apologies or would you like a drink while you wait. We were then told we couldn’t have the festive menu as we hadn’t preordered. I had emailed in September asking if they needed us to preorder and hadn’t received a reply so took it as no. Needless to say we didn’t bother staying for the food as the customer service was so bad

Now reopened (Under new management?) with new furniture and a return to the quality and welcome of the past. When originally opened, the cafe offered a lovely "family feel" with excellent service and quality. The cafe had slumped badly in the quality of the experience in recent years, after a change of owners, and my previous visit had been quite unpleasant, so it was VERY refreshing to find a smiling welcome, rapid service and excellent coffee. The new tables are perhaps less rustic than the previous versions, which has lost a little of the atmosphere, but the cafe is scrupulously clean and retains the previous layout. The seating area is quite small and if you are planning to lunch there I would say that booking is essential. It does get very busy at times. The food is reasonably priced, though not "cheap" and the quality was excellent. Attention to detail has made a huge difference to the offering and it is clear that the bad memory of the past has been banished.
