Balcony Restaurant & Bar in Luton

Overall the whole experience was okay. They forgot the eggs for our breakfast order, however it was resolved quickly. In addition to this my partner is allergic to onions in which he requested they be left out of the dish, his dish arrived with onions. We chose not to complain.

To all at Venue 360, Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you for the continued wonderful and welcoming service you provide. I thought it's important to share my thoughts on my recent return to Venue 360 during this pandemic. Obviously I was hesitant to return with the continued questions around Covid-19 and the need to adhere to the safety guidance. Suffering from unexpected anxiety doesn't help the situation but I decided three weeks ago to come back to spin class as this helps me to cope with the everyday challenges. It's been amazing and I'm feeling great so felt it's important to say that it's the work that has gone into making sure it's a safe environment to meet our needs. When yiu walk in Venu 360 you see the signs to guide you which are easy to understand. You encounter the same friendly and helpful service. The venue is spotless wherever you go and everything is set up to ensure social distancing and santizing. The way it's is all positioned it promotes personal safety and encourages a culture to also respect others which is so apparent. It makes you feel so secure and enable to enjoy the facilities whether you are training or having a delightful hot drink. At times I have preferred to do my work at Venue 360 instead of at home. Again a big thank you for supporting my sanity in this very challenging time to all the staff from the cleaners, reception staff, lifeline team, restaurant staff, to managers and anyone else for a well commended team effort. An amazing accomplishment. Well done

Nice atmosphere, however while I visited the bar (balcony bar) I was served by an older lady I’d say in her 60’s she was very rude and I found her very intimidating.... when I was ordering my round of drinks she was very abrupt and snappy..... I hope my next visit will be more pleasant.... that’s if I even return after that experience. However other than that me and the party of people I was with had a good time.

Had coffee with friends here today in the balcony bar; the Americanos were very good, nice comfy seating, but it was let down by one member of staff who kept going outside to use her phone and leaving the large patio door open! The late October wind was an unwelcome intrusion, whish I had to shut out myself!

Had lunch with friends service was good pleasant staff. Food was tasty and plenty of it. Nice surroundings, outside balcony area just right for lunch. Good value.

This place has been great over the years for sports lovers. Grab a coffee after in the bar or watch sky sports in the bar. We used to be able to have lovely lunch/dinners in the bar, simple but well made like burgers, salads and jacket potatoes etc but recently changed to packaged sandwiches and unplated food which lets it down. It's ok I guess if you wanted to eat and go but sitting down for lunch you wouldn't bother. Sofas in the bar are torn now and very sunken so no longer comfy. Staff are lovely throughout the centre.

It was ok, nothing great except for the staff and the coffee. Food was odd, and not something I would rush out to have again.

An awful meal - how can you do sald wrong? I don't know but they did. The chef should not have prepared it and the staff should not have served it. Moreover, we should neither have eaten it or paid for it. We only have ourselves to blame but will not be going back any time soon.

We had our 50th wedding Anniversary do at 360 venue balcony bar. Very good service and food. We had about 80 adults and about 10 children. The singer and disco was very good and played the music we liked. We thought the evening went very well.

We booked a private event in the Balcony Bar and the staff were incredible. Really helpful before, during and afterwards. Service was great, the whole thing went really smoothly, and we all had a great evening!

It is some time since I last visited the cafe bar, and I will not be rushing back. I ordered the superfood salad with a chicken breast and fries. The chicken and fries were fine as were most of the ingredients in the salad - obviously freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the chef either does not know how quinoa is supposed to be cooked and served (or does not care) as we were served with a wet, coagulating, lumpy, tasteless mush which was all but inedible. If the chef doesn't care there is no hope.

Just been to eat at the Balcony restaurant in Venue 360. Oh dear!! Service and bar staff were slow and looking miserable. Maybe it's something to do with the changes? I hear that they are closing the restaurant operation and opening some sort of cafe!! Big shame in my view the only good thing about the place is the food. I'm not saying that the bar staff weren't good, they just seem poorly managed. Well I suppose we will have to wait and see what the changes bring.... Maybe I will come back and see but I will miss having a proper meal.

Yesterday arrived at 12.30 with friend ready to meet 2 more. Greeted with message on bar saying due to a booking of 26 people no food could be ordered from the restaurant, asked at the bar if bar food would be available and were told yes. When 2 friends arrived went to order food and were told no food could be ordered due to the large imminent booking. Very off hand staff, one said he would ask if the chefs could do something came back and said no food could be purchased. Staff seemed very indifferent and not bothered that we were disappointed. Will never go to 360 again, staff training regarding customer service is poor.

After having a charity party downstairs at venue360 I was back on Saturday upstairs on a smaller scale.It was my nephews 30th family get togeather.Fantastic service good buffet.Clean environment.Cant wait for or Xmas party there.

Came in to try the new menu, I had heard about this through a friend. I had the superfood salad and my wife had the chilli con carne I can honestly say that the service and the food here has improved a great deal and I will be coming back again.

Lovely, friendly staff and venue. The food was tasty and prices were fair definetly recommend this venue to others

Was there for my daughters birthday. 10 of us in total, nice venue as has an outdoor play area which is ideal for the kids to play in, server was good did not rush you, have new kitchen staff so the food has improved, small menu but there is a new one due soon, but still enough choice, good kids menu, bar staff friendly. only down side was as they had a event that evening they started to clear the place out around us which made us feel we were in the way and should leave which sort of soured the day.

As a member of Venue 360 and a regular user of the gym, I have attempted to use the restaurant for lunch several times, only once successfully, due to the appallingly slow service. There appears to be no-one coordinating the efforts of the staff. On my last visit there was one person behind the bar who was making pots of tea and cappuccino while about six customers were waiting to order. I left, as did at least two other couples.The problem is that at lunchtimes they get parties of pensioners in, which seems to cause them to go into meltdown. I've been to the bar in the afternoon and evening when it's ok, but if you're thinking of going to lunch and haven't got two hours to spare, forget it. This is really disappointing as they make the 20% discount on food a big selling point when you join.

Held my brothers birthday at the Balcony restaurant & bar and had a wonderful night. Great atmosphere and feel to the place, good size room for the amount of people we had (70ish) bar service also good with very reasonable prices. The management team were very accommodating and professional, meeting all of our needs and making it a great party! Also ate here the weekend before the party and the food was delicious.

I visited the Balcony Bar with friends for a night out to watch a live band (The Blue Rinse if anyone's interested and that's a whole different review!!!) so we were only there for drinks.It's a great venue - plenty of parking for drivers, spacious lounge area with lots of comfy sofas and seats, and a large dance floor. The bar sits in between the dance floor and the lounge area so easy access depending on whether you are dancing your socks off or relaxing on a squishy sofa.Bar prices are very agreeable and service pretty decent. I would definitely visit again for any future music events held here :-)

What a shambles my boss actually said they felt mortified they booked this venue and never would again. My works doo was here on the weekend and the only thing I can praise about it was the DJ at least he saved us... slightly. One of our senior managers is gluten free and didn't receive any food for the whole night it was embarrassing, we did have a very pleasant but not completely with it waitress that tried to rectify the situation but as no point in time did any senior member come over to explain what was happening or even apologise. To be fair not many people seemed to have answers or no what was going on everyone at the table was discussing how it seemed the whole evening was left to the teenagers to manage, not professional at all.I wanted that evening to kick start my Christmas countdown but even the Christmas vibe on the evening stopped in the entrance nothing inside the main hall which was a bit of a let down having a cracker does not scream ITS CHRISTMAS ENJOY YOURSELF which is exactly what you want from your staffs Party. I was lucky and managed to get some food however I can not scream and shout about it I am still undecided if I was one of the lucky ones.I would really recommend you invest your money else where as upon leaving there was a common theme of let down with in our group. Lastly I can complement the alcohol prices and the service behind the bar never did we have to wait more than 5 minutes to be served. I never feel so strongly that I write about it but felt the need to warn people don't go with high expectations its not what you hope for.

Girls serving, lovely. The rest of the experience........ Terrible. Too many things to list but the main thing is the food was awful. If you decide to go don't have the halloumi burger because the only thing it doesn't have is halloumi. My gammon wasn't cooked and the eggs were overlooked. One meal arrived 10 minutes after the rest. It used to be good there what happened?

Would probably have been a good meal if they actually answered the mobile number on their website...couldn't book to use our taste card so we went somewhere that actually answered their phone!

I have visited here a few times with my mum, there is plenty of parking. The menu is fine, typical pub food but every time I have been the food has taken a long time to come out. But when it arrives it is tasty and I have enjoyed it. If you are going in the winter the tables near the bar are under air vents which can be a little chilly at times. It.is great value for money.

Visited this place for lunch with a friend. Hadn't been before although she had.Wasn't overly impressed by menu offering.I selected a burger called "The Champion". This conjured up images of a huge wonderful burger.The menu described it as..."crispy breaded chicken burger served in a toasted bap of your choice with gherkin, sliced beef tomato, red onion and crisp cos lettuce and mayonnaise"It is a shame I didn't take a photo of what was served...The chicken burger was of the quality of the sort you can buy for £2 in a grubby takeaway. Breast it wasn't.It's the sort of burger you get frozen ten for £1 in Iceland...Mechanically reclaimed meat/pink slime.Deep fried so it was crispy.The quality of the burger was shocking, considering the price of it.The place looks nice but the food was terrible quality.My friends sandwich wasn't that great either and its side salad lacklustre.Wetherspoons do a better burger.Definitely won't bother going back there.

We used this venue for a 3 day event that we ran in November. The team at Venue 360 were fantastic, everyone went above and beyond for us and helped the event to run seamlessly. A huge thank you to Danny for all your help! The location was very easy to get to by car and there's plenty of parking available. I'd highly recommend this venue!

Food took forever to be cooked, came out cold, not very nice, burnt, wrong order, crumble was burnt/extremely sour. Overall, the food was extremely and I will never eat there again!

My work colleagues and I visited The Balcony Bar for a colleagues leaving lunch on Friday 31st October. We work for a major Airline in Luton and wouldn't usually make the trip for a lunch time event but felt we needed a change from the Airport. We were pleasantly surprised by our afternoon out and left The Balcony Bar feeling very satisfied. The bar was busy but not overcrowded. 15 of us came in at once with more to follow and even though the bar was busy we were served quickly and told a table had been reserved for us in a great location by the window (something we did not expect). Drinks were brought over to the table straight away and we were treated very well by the staff. We didnt wait long before our food was brought over. Many of our party had the fish and chips which was on offer - 2 for £10. It looked lovely and from the comments I heard from people it tasted great too. I was hesitant to order steak but in the end I had the Stir fried steak sandwich. It was very good. I was honestly very surprised by how nice the food was. The 2 people looking after our party Dale and Harley were very quick to ensure we had everything we needed, drinks were topped up and our meals were great. When we had finished they cleaned the table and provided us with desert/coffee menus. The staff at The Balcony Bar were very friendly, helpful and informative when one of our managers enquired about the gym facilities opposite the bar and if they can provide function rooms for large parties etc. When we requested the bill it was presented with lots of mint chocolates for everyone in our party. The bill was very reasonable and a lot less than what we thought it would be. Overall we had a lovely afternoon and we were all pleasantly surprised. We will definitely come back again and possibly make it a regular thing. 10/10

I don't normally write reviews but from the initial call to see if we could book a table for 11 ( at short notice ) on a Friday evening the venue & staff were superb - I spoke with Andrew who e-mailed me a menu ( even though you can download it from the website ), he recommended that we pre order as we were a large party which we did. The venue itself is excellent, the staff ( Ada, I think ) were friendly & helpful & whilst the food is nothing fancy, it was well cooked, tasty & there was plenty of it.Thanks to all for a lovely meal

For Any Of You That Are Visiting Luton Or Indeed if you live in Luton The Balcony Bar is a Magnificent Restaurant That You Should Be Sure To Visit. A Dining Experience in an ambient atmosphere with staff that have, I feel certain, had a high level of training in hospitality and make one feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A friendly courteous service makes the dining experience all the more enjoyable and the food is excellent.Rik was the host that dealt with my order and he was nothing short of brilliant. His manner was so refreshing and attentive always making sure that I was comfortable and that I was catered for in every way possible.I would recommend the Balcony Bar both for the quality of the food and the service and the friendly relaxed comfortable atmosphere where it is possible to eat in a formal manner in the Restaurant or a more relaxed manner in The Balcony Sports Bar.Television Viewing Of Football And general sports is available in both areas and I noticed that it is there but not overbearing in that those that just wish to enjoy their meal can do so.Do visit The Balcony Bar. Judging from m experience you will not be disappointed.

I came for dinner one evening last week, Friday.I was impressed by the level of service from the staff behind the bar. We were served by Jack who took our drinks and food orders. I found him well mannered and polite.Food was scrummy too.We will be coming back!

We needed a location for my mothers 80th birthday that would provide facilities for a group of 21 ageing from 5 to.. Well 80! It also needs to be wheelchair friendly.We met with the head chef to discuss a menu and were given an excellent choice of 3 starters, mains and deserts and a glass of fizz on arrival. The price quoted was very reasonable considering what we were offered.On the day we arrived early to do some decorating and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Specifically Ric was brilliant as was Daniel who constantly but discretely ensured the day went without a hitch.We pre ordered our food to make sure there were no delays and spot on time our starters were all delivered. The quality was first class, as were the portion sizes. The mains and deserts were of equal quality and the staff could not have been more helpful.The venue itself was great. There is an outdoor play area for the children and the restaurant and bar area has a balcony to sit on. Once we finished our meal we stayed on until late evening and again all the staff were amazingly helpful and polite.Overall we had a brilliant day and things could not have gone better. I will be using Venue 360 again when I want to have family gatherings because the staff and food were amazing. I also plan to pop I on occasion with the family as their regular menu looks great.

Had a fantastic time, as it was a surprise lunch we were allowed to arrive early and decorate our tables with lovely balloons banners etc and the whole team of staff were so helpful and accommodating. The food prepared by chef Kenny and his team was delicious and very good value for money, beautifully presented and big portions. Would definitely recommend and will be going again.Thank you, especially Kenny, Daniel Ric & Ada x x

As a regular visitor we are always happy with the service received from Ric, Stella, Serena and the rest of the team. The roast lunches are always great and today was really lovely.

My husband, daughter and I had a fantastic lunch here last Sunday. We went for the excellent roast beef, perfectly cooked and presented which came with the biggest yorkshire pudding I have ever seen. Our waitress on the day was the brilliant Stella who could not have been more pleasant and attentive to our needs. The lady chef very kindly conjured up a special ice cream dessert for 5 year old daughter. Excellent value for money and superb service, we will definitely be going back - top tip - book in advance as the day we went it was packed out.

New to the area, I decided to pop into this place as I currently work near the airport and this place is directly across the road so great for a lunchtime drink and a snack. I came in today and had chicken skewers off the specials board and they were brilliant. Clearly fresh and homemade. Big sports bar area and a great balcony and garden. Huge kids play area (if that's what you're looking for) and serves nice cold beer! It was quite busy so its probably worth booking, lots of business men use this place for lunch and lots of business meetings going on in the bar from what I could see. Ill definately be back, can imagine it being really nice at the weekend with the sun shining. No complaints.

Excellent service on arrival and throughout the meal. Me and my husband decided on a spur of the moment to have a meal out. My mum offered to have our kids for the night out of the blue! So we opted for this restaurant and it was lovely! Never been to this one before we were greeted by a very smart young lady. Then our waitress came to take our drink order she too was very smart and polite. After a short time she returned to take our food order. The starters arrived very quickly and they were delicious as was the main and the meat balls cooked perfectly! I had dessert which was also lovely! Would highly recommend this place the staff are lovely and the food great.

Could quite possibly be yhe worst meal I have been for in a long time. First after ordering food we were left waiting 40 minutes to only find out that the chef hadnt evrn started to cook the food. The food when broight out was bland and rushed. Didnt taste good atall. We were told we would get a free desert after eeeing an old couple with a beautiful looking ice cream sundae I rrally fancied that but got a kinds bowl with 3 tiny scopes of ice cream instead. All in all a very bad experience that I do not wish to take part in again. Wont be back

Have been using the Balcony Cafe to meet and work with my students. Great coffee and hot chocolate and always a gorgeous muffin on offer, never eaten a meal here but what I have seen looks good, so may well try it soon. The staff are always very friendly and promt service but do tend to be in there 9:30 to 12:30 time wisem so not s. Free WiFi makes it great for work meeting and I am not the only one who thinks so on speaking to other customers.

We use this Venue 360 bar/restaurant a lot. We were surprised when it got a zero rating. Went there again today, fabulous roast, hot and well presented. Staff are really friendly, the place is spotless and the meal was great value. Best and most consistent Sunday roast for miles.

1. Customer serviceThis was basically non-existent. After our SANDWICHES arrived 50 minutes after ordering, there was no apology and a very brash 'enjoy', said with no sentiment or concern. When the food did come, one of the orders was wrong and again, there was no apology and no speed to get the food returned.2. Food qualityThough the food wasn't too bad, the presentation was quite poor and the garnish was disgusting. The lettuce tasted like plastic. My friends sandwich was dry and tasteless.3. SpeedAwful. It is beyond my comprehension that a sandwich should take longer than 10 minutes to make, let alone 50 minutes. We had an hour lunch break and had to call our office to let them know that we would be late.Needless to say, we won't be eating here again.

Had such a bad visit I had to create an account to complain in the hope the management will see this and review how they run things. We were visiting the area for an event and thought to get some lunch at 12pm for 3 of us. We took a seat and tried to order sandwiches at the bar.We were told it's table service and to sit anywhere where we will get served. We took a seat and watched 5 other tables that came in after us sit down and get served. The lady server kept asking each table if they were from downstairs (which we assumed was referring to the event we were attending even though it was in a different part of the venue? and even if people replied yes it made no difference to how they were served) and she seemed rather abrupt. Despite there being at least 6 staff stood behind the bar trying to look busy when it clearly wasn't our waiter finally came over to take our order. I enquired how long would a takeaway tuna sandwich would be and he explained it was a busy day, that there were 3 football matches on so he honestly didn't know. Fair enough. I ordered a tuna sandwich on brown bread takeaway and left to get ready for the event and left the other 2 in my party to eat their meal first.They told me it took over half an hour to get their sandwiches served and observed other table getting their food served in takeaway boxes because they had run out of plates!! And my tuna sandwich? turned out to be a tuna ciabatta. I wasn't bothered but really... it's not a hard order to mess up.It was a frustrating visit and unless the staff are trained better I really would not recommend this place! Our waiter seemed to be the manager of the team as he was giving a team talk over the bar to the 6+ waiters stood behind the bar. There was no direction, no customer service whatsoever. We felt very ignored and unwanted. It actually was not that busy (half the bar was just drinking watching football) with only max 6 or 7 tables of 4 people all ordering sandwiches. I work in a busy restaurant myself and can understand the stress of busy times but it WAS NOT busy and we felt like we were very unwanted there. Sort the staff out please!!!!!!

Went for lunch in half term, after spending time looking menu was told couldn't order till 12.30 - no signs to tell customers this. Despite 2 chefs, at least 4 people behind the bar it took 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches and 1 kids meal to arrive, during which time I saw multiple customers leave unhappy and the staff of the adjoining gym get food promptly. Asked to the manager and was told he/she was on lunch break!

My partner and I attended a wedding reception here, staff on the door making sure wedding guest only attended, very helpful and friendly staff and buffet which was well cooked and presented. We have a fab time here.

Just left the Balcony bar hungry after being told we couldn't order lunch till 1.30pm when we then tried to order we were told it would take at least 1hr maybe more, they did have one large table to serve with about 12 people but we took our custom elsewhere, couldn't really rate food we never got to try it. Most places with a large table ask them to pre order to be organised we only wanted burger & chips.

Have been here a few times - always made to feel welcome with the kids. Food has always been good and reasonably priced. The seafood pasta was lovely. There is a lovely little playground and garden area.

Went here for the first time with a few mates who live in Luton who had also never been. Was not impressed by the standard of the food. Service was reasonable although nothing special.

Called in for a snack lunchtime egg sandwiches not very tasty very dry bread. Nando's boring. New menu quite extensive. New name Venue 360.

Meet friend for lunch many times here. Always sure of a friendly welcome. Food always hot and tasty. Large convenient free parking area. Sometimes as so popular you may have a little wait but worth it if you are not in a rush.

Staff very friendly and helpful but food average. More variety would be welcome. Visited at lunch time but waited a long time for meal to arrive

This is a nice bar to have coffe or lunch. I often visit this bar to have lunch or just coffee and catchup with friends. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

A little known venue, they should try to advertise it better. Does both hot meals and snacks, food is good and well presented, menu is not extensive, but they do have a monthly specials menu as well. Its nice to find a place where you can get just a sandwich and coffee. Sunday roast is very good. They also have a sports bar with large screen TV's. Overall it caters for all as the sports bar and food side are separate from each other. So if your looking for somewhere informal to eat or just relax its worth giving it a go.

The food is very good and very good for value always go on Sunday and it is nearly always full. Have been quite a few times with my two daughters, the only drawback isometimes there is quite a wait to order the food and for it to be brought to the table

Visited the Balacony for Sunday Lunch as I was two of my daughters. The food was great quite big portions in spite of the service was ittle slow in bringing the food out, this has happened before one visit my two daughters ordered a pizza and when it came it had to go back as it was luke warm and they waited over half an hour This time the food was piping hot.. Will visit again

Nice eating area, food good and plentiful. The cost of the food was also reasonably cheap, however the food was nothing to get excited about

I have been visiting the Balcony on and off for the last three years and in that time it has gone from acceptably mediocre to downright disgraceful! Looking at the menu you might be encouraged by the descriptive text which is designed to give the impression you are getting something really tasty for the rather high prices they are asking. STOP right there! The descriptions in the menu bear absolutely no resemblance to what is actually served up. They should be prosecuted under the trades description act!I can't actually think of anything they can do well and I know because I have desperately tried everything on the menu in the hopes that I'll chance on something edible. They can't even get a panini right! or a salad or a jacket potato! In fact they simply cannot cook period. I don't know if any of their...and I use the term loosely..."cooks" have been to catering college but if they have they must have slept through the whole course. I can best describe the food as bland, tasteless and usually overcooked or cold or both and I am being kind. Oh and by the way, forget asking for a cappuccino and expecting to get one. Although they have a decent machine there, no one and I mean NO ONE, know's or cares what a real cappuccino should look and taste like. What you will get on an annoyingly consistent basis is a coffee with a very thin layer of boiled milk on top. It's depressing and disappointing for any coffee lover. The fact that you had to pay for this slop makes it so much worse :(Can I think of anything nice to say? Well, not really. The staff go through the motions with a pretense at caring what you think but if you complain you will be first treated to a show of fake astonishment followed by a visit by what I can only assume is the manager, protesting that all the food is freshly cooked etc etc. Yeah that may work on people who's taste buds have died and who don't know what actually goes on behind that kitchen door but it certainly doesn't wash with me.There used to be some great staff here who really did care and would go out of their way to make sure your food was at least edible but they left a long time ago. probably got fed up fending off the complaints. The Balcony is often used for events and office parties, meals etc and I guess many of these people are either easily pleased or very forgiving but for me I have wasted far too much of my hard earned money on this place to give it any more chances. Will never go there again and I urge you not to.
