Hubby and I shared a bowl of nachos (for one), bbq chicken wings and a portion of chips - too much for us overall but very well cooked and presented AND nothing was too much trouble for our lovely waiter guy - especially as it was New Year's Eve

Absolutely APPALLING!!!! WITHOUT DOUBT THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO STAY IN!!!!!! Freezing cold room, stained towels, dirty carpets, no phone and therefore no wakeup call (this is supposed to be an airport hotel!!!) Dining room also freezing. This is the first time I have seen people needing to wear coats and scarves WHILE EATING in order to stay warm enough!!

Not a great place to eat but better than the nearby airport alternatives! I had the fish and Chips - which was huge - but seemed to have been microwaved.

Other than a cold breakfast [extra] the cafe seems to be food out of a machine. It is not somewhere you would go for a meal.

Foi um jantar a dois. O atendimento foi bastante simpático e a comida boa. É um restaurante prático e conveniente para uem permoita no Hotel.

Ci sono due Ibis a Luton. Questo è il più piccolo ed economico. Anche il più vicino all'aeroporto, circa 10 minuti a piedi. Le indicazioni per arrivarci, però, non sono chiarissime. Struttura carina, reception H24, personale accogliente. C'è un bar e si può cenare in sala al ristorante. Prezzi adeguati, qualità media. La camera è in linea con l'offerta Ibis, cioè appena accettabile come spazio. Ottimo per soggiorni brevissimi da una, max due notti e per accedere ai voli mattutini. Collegamenti alla ferrovia, principalmente via taxi.

Can not stress enough how friendly the staff were at this hotel on check in rooms very tidy and beds very comfortable,I then ventured to the bar for a couple of drinks and food in the bar were the barman and chef were so polite so credit gas to go to adison jnr, and the chef Ryan' Plymouth

A small bedroom, but it's budget, really comfortable and everything you need for an overnight stay, o my there to sleep. 10 out of 10. Thank you

Bed was very comfy. Shower didn’t work and have us a complimentary 2 course meal. Easy checkin and WiFi available

Stayed here and decided to try the food, food was ok, atmosphere was ok, service was good. Bit on the expensive side.

I was staying next door in the holiday inn express but their menu was very poor for a low carb diet. So I crossed the road to Fogg’s and was pleasantly surprised. Firstly the service was great and the prices were cheap for an airport hotel, options were limited but at least they had options. The meatballs were very tasty and although not a salad fan the Caesar ( minus the croutons) was tasty too. If you are in the holiday inn or express this is a great option for a cheap meal with excellent service.

Due cameriere che spero per loro fossero al primo giorno di lavoro, altrimenti posso solo dire che sono negate, perdono le comande, dopo 20 minuti ho dovuto richiedere le bevande intanto che attendevo il piatto principale, filetti di spigola speziati su un letto di riso e piselli con asparagi, una accozzaglia insipida, il pesce è asciutto sicuramente riscaldato al forno, a voler essere generoso un piatto insignificante. Questo unito al pessimo servizio mi ha indotto a pagare ed andarmente il prima possibile.

Colazione buona e con ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ho apprezzato la presenza di moltissimi piatti caldi, e uova cucinate in più modi. Atmosfera rilassata e informale, nessuna coda, ampia scelta di posti. Insomma, ancora una volta, Ibis non delude. Decisamente soddisfatta.

Fish and chips trop copieux. Pour un petit café dans l' hotel, une carte international. Un peu cher mais le soir après avoir marcher dans Londres on a faim.

The menus were displayed on a table near the entrance to the bar area and we were told to take a seat and a menu would be brought to us. In the meantime other people picked up menus as they entered. Eventually I had to ask for a menu. We found a good choice of the smaller dishes we wanted and ordered a BLT and cheese and ham toastie. The BLT was a huge portion of bacon and would easiy have satisfied 2 people, My toastie was a more acceptable size. Both dishes came with crisps which were of a good quality. There were also larger meals like fish and chips etc on the menu. Whisle not "fine dining" we found the meals aceptable and reasonable in price.

Great idea to bring the soup and the cheesy nachos at the same time, so I will be able to choose, would I prefer a cold soup or hard cheese over the nachos. :-(

Came here because the Ibis budget didn't have a restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices for an airport hotel. Handy as they were taking orders at just before 10pm for late arrivals.

Not great. Tasteless burger. Minuscule shoulder of lamb. Horrible chips cooked in foil tasting oil. Staff were friendly and efficient.

I was a solo traveler this time. Staff was very welcoming and very nice.

We arrived late, but it was ok as the kitchen is open till 23.00. We ordered the day special, pasta with chicken and tomatoes. The only thing that had a taste were tomatoes. But the staff were excellent. As the food were not so good, they offered complementary snacks or drinks. So finally the all good

3 more visits here over December 2017 and January 2018. More new staff in the restaurant this time. Had to explain how the half-board voucher worked, but no problem. Very good, smiling new staff. New staff on the bar didn't know Chardonnay was a white wine and had to again explain the Ibis biz Card. Apart from that, good food in the restaurant and looking forward to the new menu for a better vegetarian selection. Thanks all.

Clean room very expensive bar £5 for Murphy's beer lots Romanian staff very clucky from five to seven two for one but not told only saw by chance meal was nice but mash potatoes could have been packaged from supermarket ready done. Spinach was limp and small piece lamb tasty though but for £13 expensive for what got

A very average meal, exactly what you would expect at an airport hotel. The staff were really nice but I was very disappointed to be told that Ibis take the tips paid on cards from the staff when I asked.

Dreadful service - totally disinterested staff Food can only be described as awful - cheapest ingredients going - not even a steak on the menu - total disappointment after a 4 hr drive !!

Awful dinner, one of the worst finger food I've ever tried. Oily and poor quality product. Left a bad taste in my mouth. You better grab something to eat from the airport and bring it with you to the hotel. Awful

Cheat and cheerful as are most of these Ibis hotels (other than the budget ones which to the cheap too far) Room was standard for this chain and fine for what I needed as a overnight pre-flight place to rest my head

If you dont want a well done burger, (thats the only way you can have it) and my friend found it dry and sad. My southern fried chicken was okayish. I suggest you take a trip to town or buy something from Marks and Sparks. The solo waitress needs some more english speaking lessons. Breakfast I have to say is not much better,

We both had the half a roast chicken and it was delicious and good sized portions. Would definitely eat here again and would recommend the hotel and restaurant to others

No esperaba mucho. Una llegada tardía, una noche, después de un comienzo temprano al día siguiente. Estuve dando vueltas a la barra en 2030 a la comida el menú es el mismo para el bar y el restaurante.

El desayuno aquí es muy costoso, aunque en el lado de la feria puedes comer tanto como quieras, pero a las 8 de la mañana, la mayoría de nosotros es improbable que tienen un enorme apetito. La selección estaba bien pero los platos son pequeñas, (probablemente para dar la ilusión de su placa de estar lleno), por lo que es un poco de un desafío intentar conseguir bacon, salchichas y huevos revueltos. La tostadora ha visto días mejores, espero que comprar una nueva pronto. No té o café, pero una máquina? ? ? Casi £9 por el desayuno, lo menos que esperaba era una cerveza fresca! Y ya que pagamos un buen precio por nuestra habitación, creo que pagar más para comer era un poco descarado. El desayuno debería ser incluido en su pago, ya que temprano en la mañana y no saber dónde ir, no tuvimos más remedio que pagar el extra.

Llegamos alrededor de las 10 de la noche para alojarse en el hotel y teníamos hambre. La gente aquí era muy servicial y corrimos y nos arregló con comida y un vaso de vino. Seguro que la comida no es de calidad 4 estrellas Michelin, pero era lo suficientemente bueno. Nos sorprendió lo mucho que cuesta. . . . . uff. Todavía no se puede mendigos el diente.

All the food tastes the same, like deep fried greasy taste, no flavour whatsoever! I ordered the burger but it was just greasy and tasteless. The onion rings were exactly the same with the batter dripping in grease. Avoid at all costs!

J'ai pris un panang curry. Le pire curry que j'ai mangé de ma vie (je m'y connais un peu pour avoir vécu en Asie). La sauce ressemblait à de l'eau dans laquelle on avait mis la tonne de citron et coloré en jaune. Le riz n'était pas un riz fin type basmati (bien que correctement cuit). Le poulet était rosé donc ne semblait pas très bien cuit et les morceaux avaient encore cette peau de poulet épaisse et grasse que personne ne mangerait.Je vous conseille de vous rabattre sur les burgers. Les anglais savent faire dans ce domaine.Pour du curry mieux vaut aller dans un resto asiatique

Have eaten here many times whilst staying at the hotel and always found the food tasty. However, the current menu is quite restrictive - especially the vegetarian selection. Last year they had a delicious spicy bean burger and macaroni cheese. Both those options no longer available. If staying at the hotel the half-board option is good value as it includes breakfast, a drink and 2 items from the evening menu.

This place would not win any prizes for design but there was a good selection of reasonably priced comfort food on the menu. We had southern fried chicken and sweet potato fries. They were up to US quality standards! Service was swift and with a smile. Got our trip off to a good start

There is a good selection at reasonable prices. The food is well prepared and presented. If you want a starter as a main, no problem. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful.

From the reviews we had seen, our expectations were not high, but we were staying overnight in the hotel and couldnt be bothered to go elsewhere. We were pleasantly surprised. There was a pretty good range of food on the menu,from the usual burgers to some more international style dishes. service was attentive and quick (though we ate early and it looked a bit more fraught as the restaurant filled). The decor was cheerful, the meal presentation better than expected.

Decided to have dinner here. Chose this hotel as we have an early flight in the morning. The dining area was full with a coach tour and we were asked to sit in the open bar area close by reception - not suitable. The food was ok but we were overcharged at the bar. I paid for the meal and the drinks. I thought the G&T was a bit pricey. It was only when we had a second drink that we realised the overcharge on the first round. The difference was speedily refunded once the error was pointed out. Genuine mistake or someone trying to profit??? I hate this all too common type 'error'.

This is an unstylish and uncomfortable restaurant and eating area. It's noisy and clearing way seemed a n issue. My wife had a poor dried up omelette a part she was forced to leave; I had a steak, paper thin dried up and appallingly cooked and probably the most expensive steak I have had in this Country. This was a really dreadful experience and management needs to act.

The breakfast was a limited self service buffet with a choice of scrambled egg, sausage, bacon, hash browns and beans, plus cold meats, cheese, fruit juice etc. The breakfast was reasonable value at £8.95.

We choose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. To be fair we had no issues at all until I wanted a bag of crisps with my beer. When the young lady said that will be £1.50 I assumed she thought I wanted 4 bags, not just one. When the Bar Manager himself says that the pricing structure needs reviewing then you know something is wrong!!

Reasonable choices & prices on the menu. Nice setting & attentive service from Mohammed. One dish was not served to order specifications but was quickly put right so no issues.

When staying at the hotel, I was reluctant to try the food.But it was great for evening dinner, and I go there just for it! Good price and good quality - and love the puddings!

The dining area at the IBIS is not a cosy venue, but then this is not the sort of place for a romantic night out. It is a bit of a quick 'in and out' sort of place rather than a casual dining option.The staff were friendly, the food was better than expected and too be honest the price was not too bad given the 'captive nature' of being at an airport hotel. The food was hot and served quickly.I particularly liked the menu description of the 'Nachos Average Starter' which was actually a larger than expected portion (but would have benefited from some tomato salsa to accompany the sour cream and guacamole) of crispy Mexican chips. The BLT sandwich, which came with crisps, was good value and the side order of fries was plenty big enough!

Very average. Nothing particularly to recommend. The whole trip went wrong when they lost my reservation. Fortunately, I kept my email copy. As to the restaurant, very average, nothing special - a bit pricey in the scheme of things. Not recommended.

Good value hotel with car parking for the duration of my trip staff gspph to hell and put themselves out for guests. Nothing was too much trouble

Had to stay over in Luton for a morning flight to the Highlands and had my evening meal at the Cafe Ibis Hotel. The Menu was quite well presented as were all the choices.The waiting staff were clearly not british and command of the English language was maybe not as sharp as one would expect in a Hotel Restaurant.The food was hot and plentiful although the 30 minute wait for food was not particularly good being the Restaurant was less than a third full.It was however in my opinion value for money and would I use this location again, then yes would be the answer in this case.

We take there quickly lunch,we ordered three meals but they bring two only,on receipt all...meals very good,service quickly.

As in the title, good meal and quick service. I cannot complain at all. Maybe a bit on how it looks but it is not important if you stay at the hotel before the early plane then it is the right place to eat as the food was very good.

Stayed at the hotel overnight and had evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant both of the meals were excellent. There was a selection of choice for the evening meal and we chose the fish and chips which was a size portion and very tasty. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Both myself & husband had the chicken, thankfully I had a jar for my son who normally eats proper food, as the following day on the flight to Italy both myself & husband began to vomit (approx. 8am) this didn't stop until we went to bed. I am thankful my son didn't have any as it could have killed him having food poisoning so young.

Ate here while staying at the hotel the food was presented well and in all fairness good value pleasant staff quick and easy fair variety of dishes ideal if you don't want to travel out

I ate here a few times during a work trip. Evening meals were good portion sizes if not the best quality - the burger was a little dry. Breakfast had a good selection; cereal, cold meats, croissant, toast and a selection of hot food. The bar wasn't too expensive though did stop serving alcohol at midnight.

A good meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Setting us up for a good nights sleep, before an early start to fly to Cyprus.

Pleasant atmosphere, superb service from wait staff, but they need to smile. Food was presented well and very good. Lots of variation something to suit everyone.

Although the restaurant’s theme of ‘around the world in 80 days’ made the description of some of the dishes seem a bit odd, when it arrived the food was surprisingly good, the portions were sufficient and the meal represented reasonable value for an airport hotel (just over £36 for one shared starter, two mains, two desserts and two drinks). The waitress was pleasant, helpful and – of course – East European.

Was very pleasantly surprised by this location, quick service, friendly staff and good quality food that did not cost the earth a very pleasant surprise. Had a great dinner and breakfast experience.

The title says it all..... Overcooked burger in a dry bun and rather tasteless. Glass of red wine helped a lot!

Had a deli club sandwich and nachos with salsa, sour cream, cheese and guacamole. have to say, I think it is the first time anywhere that I've had more topping than I needed for a good sized bowl of nachos. I loved that, as usually, I end up with plain nachos, at the end of a snack.

Reasonably priced food and drink nothing fancy. Good for an airport hotel.The beds at all the Accor hotels are outstandingly comfortable. We have a gold membership and get free extras

Ate here twice while staying in the Ibis hotel that this restaurant is a part of. The Restaurant is located adjacent to the bar and reception. Staff were distant inatentive and unenthusiastic Upon arrival, told to sit where I wished. Did so only to be ignored for 20 minutes. On asking to order was firmly put in my place and told if i sat at a table with no menu I had obviously finished my meal and didn't need to order anything. Realising she had perhaps overstepped the mark she the offered a conciliatory free drink, but not to my mind the needed apology.The menu is somewhat pretentious - each dish being given a "trendy" name - loosely themed on the non existent explorer Phileas FoggThe food i ate on both evenings was actually very very good, An excellent Squid starter on the first night and a Pork belly dish the second. Mains, the first night steak and chips was well cooked and tasty, the gammon the second evening was also good.The desert menu has to be requested, neither evening was it offered. The Ice Creams served are produced in Hampshire and are very very good.So despite the food being very good my abiding memory will be the terrible service which let down not only the Chef whole hotel. With a slight attitude adjustment and a little bit more interest this restaurant would warrant a much better rating.

Inverse Curate's egg? Instead of good in parts - it was bad in parts. Semantics? Perhaps, but it could have been so much more.... frustrating. Restaurant is located adjacent to the bar and reception. Staff were all young, female and East European. Sadly I have to agree with other reviewers regarding the general lack of customer service, surly and unenthusiastic waiting staff. I shall return to this in a moment. Upon arrival, told to sit where we wished.. Decor is somewhat spartan/Scandinavian, but no real complaint. The menu is somewhat pretentious - each dish being given a "trendy" name - however when I ordered giving the names on the menu, the aforementioned staff merely responded with the generic description, "Nachos" or "Fish and Chips". Come on guys, one or the other..... Food we ordered, starters, Nachos (huge portion, very good) and potato and leek soup (also a large portion, but delicious, very, very good). However, let us return to the staff at this point. After the order was taken, we waited an appropriate length of time, to see a waitress arrive in the restaurant carrying both dishes. We then watched as she offered them to 3 other tables, before finally plonking them down in front of us with nothing other than a "these must belong to you then!" Hmmm......Mains? A cajun chicken pitta which my wife enjoyed, but was not the largest dish, plus fish, chips and peas. Oh that inverse curate's egg . again, fish and peas were delicious, very good. The chips though? Full of absorbed oil - had been put into the oil way before it was at temperature - they tasted of oil, nothing else. Unpleasant. Wine list? A plus point, a good selection and VERY reasonably priced.Deserts? Good selection of locally produced ice cream. Very nice. Oh, that inverse curate's egg rears it's head again. We were never offered the dessert menu - after a 15 minute wait we were forced to ask for it ourselves. Also at no time were we ever asked if everything was OK, or how was the food? So sadly, despite some delicious elements, and the remarkably good value of £49 for a 3 course meal for two with wine, there were frustratingly annoying bad parts. This let down the whole experience. This could be so much more.

The food is of good quality and not unreasonably priced, The staff were a little disinterested which is disappointing for a large chain, where training should have prepared them for customer interface. The menu was not bad at all and the food was well cooked.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening before our flight the next day. Ordinarily we wouldn't chose to do this, but as our car had been parked beforehand at the airport car park, we were left with no other choice! I'm glad to say though that we weren't disappointed. The menu was fairly standard with an 'international' theme and we kept our expectations to fit the place and circumstances. Overall the food was good although my OH's burger was a little bit bland and lacking in flavour. However, considering it's location and the captive market, the food was pleasant and definitely good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again if I was travelling from Luton.

Fairly basic 'pub grub' but appropriate for this type of establishment. Be realistic in your expectations and you will not be disappointed. No need to reserve a table.

We had a restricted menu as it was a half board offer, but there was a good range - we chose a thai dish & burger & chips (not very adventurous, but beatifully cooked and a lot of it!)

Fast food with a difference, more innovative than usual, served quickly and efficiently. Wine selection OK and good value for money. A variety of appetisers that were good to share, although the frito miso was on the small side for the price. Main courses good with a fair selection including interesting veggie option for a change.

This Ibis is fairly modern which was reflected in the Restaurant. A few items were not available - particularly the Venison Sausages which my friend Alan and I hade both set our hearts on!! Major disappointment- especially as the Breakfast sausages next morning were superb. I thought the prices were good value for such a location. The Menu Choice was safe with all the usual suspects - so something for everyone. The problem I have is that I have a very, very small appetite after losing quite a lot of weight with portion control. That is why I like to preview a menu on the net to find something small enough for me to do justice to - I hate waste The Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast next morning in the Restaurant was 0430 if you wanted hot food, 0400 if you were happy with Continental. All items looked fresh and appealing. Don't look for anywhere else to eat if you are staying at this Ibis - very good food and very good value

Choice quite good on the menu. Service good and with a smile. The waiting staff were quite willing to get your drinks for you from the bar and bring them to the table. Something you don't always get and was a nice gesture.

Had breakfast at 4.30am in here it was lovely food and certainly peaceful before a long journey. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Long day of travelling meant no energy to look for and choose anywhere else to eat.Limited menu but all three items i chose evceeded my expectations.Young girls waiting on very pleasant and good at the job.

The food was excellent for a very reasonable price. It was tasty, hot and there were plenty of choices. The house red was also excellent. Why leave a nice clean, warm hotel to eat when it is right on your doorstep?

Great menu from around the world and food is lovely. Staff are great too. But why charge mega bucks for the wine ??? Just means that next time I stay I will hVe my own in my room and u will not make any profit from me!!!! Just reduce prices by £5 a bottle and u will sell much more. Good dining experience. Pity about the wine?!!!

An unexpected surpise in this "budget" hotel. Great surroundings, helpful staff and delicious food! We expected we would need to go to the airport for food - but no, we had a lovely relaxing evening in this lovely bar and restaurant, right in our hotel!

I had an evening meal and breakfast its budget hotel and its obvious but never had mushrooms for breakfast done in garlic butter - that was novel

Restaurant is adjacent to the bar/ lounge and reception. Tends to get quite loud with all the people milling around. Sitting are itself is quite small with few booths and tables, reminds of McDonalds sitting plan. Staff friendly but quite laid back, kept running around between kitchen, restaurant and bar and had not enough time to service customers (although it was not busy evening). Menu is quite limited, simple English food with burgers/ meat & bakes, salads and desserts. Good range of drinks, most quite overpriced.

To be honest I wasn't even expecting a restaurant in this hotel. The layout is a bit strange, feels more like a works canteen. I had the chorizo for starter and it was not nice at all, so hard it hurt my teeth but one was hungry. For the main I had the burger which was very tasty. Shame you have to pay 50p extra for cheese. I understand 50p for the bacon. The wine selection is good and can't comment on desserts as I went straight to coffee. Slightly overpriced but expected at airport location. Staff were lovely.

service was slow and disinterested. food (fish n chips and a curry) was inedible, every aspect of these dishes was disgusting. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Average basic restaurant in this average basic hotel.Breakfast was good with a good variety of cereals, orange or apple juive, tea or coffee, hot breakfast (buffet style) sausages, bacon, scrambled egg, beans, hash browns, mushrooms, toast. Cold buffet was sparse with ham slice, chicken slice, cheese, grapefruit or orange segments available. The Menu for evening meal was adequate however the 8oz Aberdeen Angus something Burger was not of 8oz size however it was well presented with chips, chutney and hamburger relish on the side and was tasty. Likewise the Piri Piri chicken was tasty.and well presented.

Friendly service, decent selection on menu - enjoyed the hot wings and a pie and a couple of pints before retiring for the evening.

We didn't have much just a snack but well presented and the server very pleasant and polite. Had a bit of a wait though and they weren't rushed off their feet. Not worth complaining about though I'm sure some would!

We went to the Ibis Hotel's restaurant for a brunch-time meeting with our accountant earlier today. I was told by someone that the "all-in breakfast" was really good. Unfortunately, we arrived 10 minutes past 10, so there were no breakfasts, but it was also too early for lunch. We were told they were already washing up. We ordered tea and coffees instead. We were made to pay outright, and then we found a place to sit, by ourselves, as no one seemed to bother after they got our money. The "manager" or a gentlemen who looked like one, seemed rather dismissive from the beginning. Zero customer service skills. A couple of minutes after sitting down, this "manager" walked over to us and said: "your drinks are ready". So I had to ask, are we to collect them ourselves? He did not even answer, just pointed to the bar!!! I found it astonishing, that he walked over to us to tell us to go and collect our hot drinks ourselves! With the same effort, he could have brought them with him! No one came and asked if we were happy, we needed a topup, needed anything - which after the initial welcome, suited us to the ground. Not coming back here again, for sure.
