The Brache in Luton

Not been in there in years but it's a good family place to get a bit of dinner.

Last time we came in here was a few years ago I believe and it was great,sorry to say but its definitely gone downhill and worst of all....the toilets,omg they are disgusting. Food and service where ok but the place is tired and someone needs to get the toilets cleaned both Gents and Ladies,my wife said the ladies where horrendous.

We had a lovely meal at the Beefeater. Our waitress, Milly, was fantastic – if you’re lucky enough to have her serve your table, you’re in for a great experience! The atmosphere was briefly disrupted when some of the staff began preparing for breakfast a bit noisily, but it didn’t last long, and the pleasant ambiance soon returned. I highly recommend the cheesecake, but I was a bit disappointed by the sticky toffee pudding. Thanks so much!

Just avoid. We are here twice- evening meal and breakfast. Evening meal: wrong dish was brought out (ordered vegetarian and chicken was served), then the replacement was simply inedible it was so hard. We never complain or send food back but for the second time the food went back (not paying for something that physically couldn’t be eaten). We were offered an alternative so ordered some fried mushrooms and onion rings. Both were sopping in grease but were at least edible. The other meal was a lasagna which tasted like a discount frozen ready meal. Not impressed at all but it was edible so didn’t mention it. They did take all the other food off the bill though which was good (dare I say essential). Breakfast: everything very greasy, poor quality ingredients, poor selection of continental options and no visible options for plant based alternatives like soy/oat milk, vegan sausages etc. My partner did end up asking for vegetarian sausages which they said they could do, and would bring over in a few minutes. 25 minutes goes by, still nothing, by this point she had to leave to catch a train, having only had some beans on toast and an apple juice. Absolute joke of a place. I normally eat like a starved horse and could hardly stomach a small plate. And we still paid full price for both breakfasts TLDR: Dreadful food, poor dietary options, overpriced

Ate there this morning and was very disappointed. Buffet food was stone cold and some items looked like they had been sat there for a while (beans had a layer of sauce glazed on the top). Lipstick found on a clean mug which I handed back, no apologies from the staff. One staff member was rude when we asked to move tables and would not accommodate us wanting to move. She completely shut us down and walked off whilst I was mod sentence. As they make you pay before you sit, the staff then wash their hands of you and don’t interact at all. Not going back there!

Although there were multiple issues with the food, Rama was lovely

Okay place warm and inviting with great service. Only let down were the state of toilets all the gents floor were wet with no signs ans dangerous especially for old people and children, taps loose and overall in need of revamp. Apart from that it was okay.

We were both given about 15 chips. When we questioned the waitress she said there was a party of 20 or more in the bar area which weren’t catered for so everyone was getting small portions so there were enough to go around!

Great place to go get all the family,and grandkids together.breakfast is yummy,eat as much as you can ,lovely morning.

I've always liked the Brache. Every time I've been there the food has always been good. The service brilliant and cost reasonable.

Service was barely okay. Food pathetically basic. This was at the Beefeater close to Luton Airport.

Visited today for lunch. Good food and excellent service from Milly. I would recommend.

My friends and I had a lovely lunch. Food was great, also the atmosphere. Place was clean and tidy. The food came on time and was nice and hot. Very relaxing atmosphere. Refillable drinks was excellent. It was great value for money.

Went to the Brache beefeater for my son's 263rd month birthday. We arrived as a table of 7 walking in, me, Johnny, Jenny, Jefferey, Jacky, Jodie and Steve and were sat immediately. Steve has an allergy to eggs, fish, nuts, sesame, celery, sunlight, tap water and ginger people. The staff were extremely accommodating to Steve's allergies. Especially our server Jason who sat us as far away from the red heads as possible so Steve was safe.

Another lovely meal with great service. It was busy but didn't have to wait for our food.

Nachos were cold and the toppings were cold and not cheap. Didn’t enjoy at all. Haloumi burger was sloppy and mean with the halumi.- bearable but for the price. Not good value. Avoid unless you desperate like I was

Lovely place, amazing service from Milly my daughter said she was very friendly. Claire greeted us and she was lovely to, my daughter enjoyed the colouring in.

Disappointed at all our steaks, supposed to be well done, cooked, no pink or red, came out quite red, maybe chef calls them well done, we didn't. One was taken off the bill, but the other 3 were still half left on plates. Otherwise a pleasant lunch. Staff, very friendly.

Only downfall was waiting at least for 4min at the main door to someone to notice me and my friend. Otherwise girl with red long hair who was serving us was lovely from the time we did sit down until we made our way out. Thank you

We were attendent by Rama, she was so nice to us and she taked care in all the details at all time. The food was good, just like we ordered it. And the place was clean and the enviorement was perfect. I really recomend it.

Wish I’d of gone to McDonalds instead! The portions were small for the price of the meal. Burnt salmon, ribs were not nice; very chewy, 2 very slim pieces of corn and a handful of fries ! The staff were friendly, that’s the only good thing about it.

Food was decent for a beefeater. My server was Scott who was fantastic, couldn’t do enough. And actually asked how my food was when I wasn’t mid bite. Which is a lovely change

Food was tastless but it was a nice atmosphere. Parking is a pain when you need to enter your registration number just for a short visit.

Had a warm welcome from the manager then really great service from the lady who served us who was called Emma H (we asked for her name so we could leave this review, she was the good). She looked after us really well and gave our nephew a bar of chocolate for his birthday. She was fun and engaging and really made our day special. We can’t afford to leave the big tip she clearly deserves so I am leaving her this review in the hope she is recognised by Beefeater as an outstanding member of the team. Thank you Emma for making us feel so Welcome at The Brache!!

lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff. tasty food. we dine here and had a family dinner. lots of laughs. the perfect place for families.

Lauren and Sam did absolutely everything they could to make tonight a good experience for me, as I have a number of allergies so dining out is often difficult. One of the best experiences I have had in a long time!

We dined here for breakfast after a night at the premier inn. The hot food buffet was empty when we arrived, and it took quite a while (25 mins) for the food to be replenished. The member of staff that brought the food out seemed very stressed and threw it on the hot plate. The food when we did get to eat was nice, but because of the delay, our children who ate cereal and pastries had finished much before us and found it difficult to wait. An hour at breakfast is a long time for small children.

We had a nice meal at the Brache yesterday! The food was good but what made it into a wonderful experience was our waitress Georgette. She was so polite and friendly, professional and very efficient! At the same time Georgette had a good sense of humour! She is a real credit to the Brache!!

Tonight we were served by Millie who was so helpful and friendly we had fish and chips twice which was delicious and a takeaway burger 🍔, we love coming to the brache as the staff are so friendly, we get great offers and this encourages us to keep going back.

Food is decent and staff are friendly but the place is constantly too busy for the amount of staff on so it's generally chaos. Fine if you have time to chill but not if you are in a rush

Scott our waiter was outstanding. Attention to detail was something else, a lovely young man and nothing was too much trouble.

Terrible service, recently went to celebrate my 30th we were there for 3 hours and only got one course, staff were rude and the food was awful.

Sam made our experience amazing and she is great with kids!

Came here for lunch today. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were lovely and helpful, especially Milly who looked after us really well. We all enjoyed our food from the lunch menu, it was good quality, nice and hot, quite a good range of choices and a very good price. I will definitely be coming back, most likely in the evening time.

Lucky to still be open, most Beefeaters round here have been closed. The decor is drab. toilets dirty. But the lovely servers do their best under the circumstances. Short of cooks possibly. This beefeater used to be decorated with Vauxhall car parts, now just needs complete refurb, but that might mean closure, although this is "one of the sites making money" according to a staff member.

Very pleasant staff, and very well prepared and cooked breakfast of sausage, bacon, tomato, hash browns ,beans, eggs (scrambled & fried), mushrooms and black pudding on an 'all-you-can-eat' basis. Also includes toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, tea/coffee & various juices. £10.99. Good food, good value. Spoilt only by a numpty who doesn't understand about volume and headphones.

We came for lunch and all the food was lovely, our server Emma K was so sweet and accommodating and the restaurant overall had a great atmosphere. thankyou!

We had the good fortune to get a 40% off voucher, so we went on Saturday afternoon for a nice meal. We had a rack of ribs and a ribeye. Both were excellently cook to melt in your mouth. The was served to us by Milly, who was great and very attentive. Really enjoyed our afternoon at the Brache.

This is the first time I have had to post a really bad review about the brache beefeater luton and it's not even because of staff ie milly and claire as they could not have been nicer but the chef omg he supposedly had 30yrs experience well I was thinking more like 30minutes and either he felt like he was bigger than the women because he wouldn't listen when they were saying about the complaints over food anemic sausages see-through bacon hard eggs burnt croissants and pain o chocolate and when I went and told him as a customer what I thought of his kitchen cooking skills etc he didn't like it and had a check to say about a delivery if u have so much experience things should mostly run like clock work the women staff need to be brought some flowers or chocs to of put up with him all week as I would of gone mad 😠

Lovely array of food for breakfast. Buffet style so easy to choose the food you want. Slightly ling queue, but what do you expect when every table is full! Nice easy breakfast 😋

Out of our 4 meals, 2 were lovely & 2 unfortunately weren’t. Really bad cut of fillet steak, & halloumi burger was nearly non existent of content… our server, Emma H could not have been nicer though - she listened to our feedback and provided excellent care & service. Great service, but quality of food 50/50

Nice pie, problem is it's not real potatoes it's smash, it's not hard to peel potatoes and mash it, server Megan was really nice, if I had change I would of tipped her,

We ate here whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door. We booked a table prior to arrival, we got there earlier than expected and managed to bring forward our booking time no problem. We found service to be good and ordered food from the evening set menu, we all enjoyed our meal. When it came to paying they charged us full price and not the set menu price. We questioned this and it was amended. They did tell us this always happed as the till didn’t recognise it. So check your receipt if eating here.

Great meal out, the food was lovely & Hot, loved the refill drinks, nice & polite staff, restaurant was clean, Megan our waitress was superb asking for refills and just genuinely brilliant (Ps been here before loads 😁)

Great food - good selection of vegan and vegetarian options. Our server was Millie, very sweet girl. They seemed to be short staffed so we were waiting a while to be served and receive our bill - However, everything else was great. Really nicely decorated and quiet during the day. The parking is also free. I will definitely be visiting again!

Appalling. Waited 45 minutes to be seated at a table, then another 20 minutes for our food order to even be taken.

Had a lovely evening. Our young Lady that served us was very good, charming, and helpful. Her name was Megan.

We obviously picked the wrong time 4 pm shift changeover. I waited at the bar 10mins nobody serving. Its not the customers fault you can't organise your staff. The young girl was very apologetic.

The staff are an absolutely wonderful bunch, and the all you can eat breakfast buffet for £10.99 is great, especially the kids eat free, that's right, freeeee guy I would say leave the tomatoes in a little longer and maybe throw the mushrooms at a wall , but that's my personal opinion others may thrive in slightly roasted Tammy's .

Went for a meal this evening as part of our stay at Premiere Inn and received exceptional service from Emma and the duty manager who took care of all our needs including catering for dietary requirements (coeliac disease) and my son who uses a wheelchair. The food was served in good time and was very tasty, and Emma in particular went out of her way to help us by providing a bag of ice to refrigerate some medicine. Thanks to all the team x

Service was generally fine, though they seem a little understaffed at the bar. Food delivery was prompt. Selection of ales is limited, only had Atlantic Pale Ale as the Doombar was finished. Overall impression was good.

5 of us went for a meal here yesterday. Food was shocking. No where near the value its priced at. My mums fish and chips were served cold. Beef and ale pie was ok but portion size for a mouse. I had rack of ribs that were dry and over cooked. Corn on cob not much bigger than ur thumb. Portion of houlemi chips that were like rubber and tasteless and didn't bring the bbq sauce out which it's meant to come with. Presentation of meals was a disgrace, basically just thrown on the plate any how. Certainly would not rate this at all.

OMG , this place for food is like a third world country , I had gammon which was that fatty it was inedible, the cutlery was not fit for eating , filthy dirty . Do not eat here . Someone should send out an undercover manager to review its own pub , shockingly shameful

Really enjoyed our food. The welcome we received was warm and friendly, and our waitress, Emma, couldn't do enough for us. We chatted for ages!

We usually love beefeater for a quality consistent meal but this was awful. My husbands dessert had a plastic shard from the ice cream tub, when pointed out the waitress was apologetic but didn't seem surprised. Both mains had the wrong sides and steak was very weird texture. If staying at the premier inn I'd suggest other pubs within driving distance like the Fox in Harpenden. We decided to eat here to save a drive but wish we hadn't.
