Was always 5 stars but recently noticed the food quality slipped but still used them as i am a loyal customer. Tonight the food was really bad - portion size and the standard plus the order wasnt even correct (should of been 2 large doner kebabs with salad) Rang them and they were extremely unapologetic and said as its a justeat order to go through them? Well sorry they dont cook or prepare the order that is done by the restaurant. Will need to find a new fish and chip shop (spent nearly £300 here since Jan)

Personal favourite! Whether it’s a classic fish and chips or donner meat, I’m always pleased with my food. Nice staff and efficient delivery - a happy customer! Definitely recommend trying out if you haven’t already.

Normally really nice but today the chips tasted moldy and the fish tasted of nothing. The mushroom were overcooked and hard and greasy. Not the best. Maybe just a bad day

Not normally one to leave reviews, but after seeing a negative one about this place, I felt compelled. I have ordered from here every Friday eve for a few years now and it’s been brilliant. Such a lovely bunch, great food and go over and beyond each time. The fish is always freshly cooked and the chips are quality.

This has been my local takeaway for the past few years and it never disappoints!. I would strongly recommend ignoring the negative comments and try it out for yourself! My personal fave is the cod and chips with a portion of donner kebab!. The price is reasonable and home delivery is always quick. Staff and owners are lovely, hard working people. A MUST TRY!!!!!

Absolutely loved my experience at Luton fish bar! The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were just the right amount of crispy and fluffy. But what really stood out was the impeccable service – friendly, attentive, and genuine. It's rare to find such a winning combination of delicious food and top-notch service.

Rate My Takeaway said it all. The clown behind the counter couldn't even cook a fresh sausage and sav for a food review, the drinks can was dusty and the passers-by talking to Danny couldn't understand what he was doing there and not at a decent chippy so it wasn't a one off. It's quite astonishing how a business remains open knocking out the cheapest possible rubbish. It shows the lack of respect they have for the community and the people who might eat it. Luton Town FC should ask them to stop pretending they are affiliated with the club too.

Luton fish bar is one of mine and my family's go to chippy in Luton ever since its opening. The food is very very nice and I would recommend it to anyone who loves to eat fish and chips !!! I usually order a Cod and chips which is a classic. The batter on the fish is really crispy and the chips are so fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The customer service is always amazing, with the staff being very attentive and helpful.

Very organised and not only was the food great but the customer service was excellent, treated with full respect and kindness. Recommended place!

The combination of the flaky cod and the savory seasoning is a real treat for your taste buds. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Ordered sausage in batter n chips. Good portion of chips an sausage was fine. I would have preferred them to be cooked ,while you wait though.

I ordered doner meat and sausage in batters …and other food for the whole family. The cost of the food was not so expensive which really helps and the food was all fresh and tasty. Thank you for giving us amazing fresh food it is very rare and cost effective. I love Luton fish bat

Food is lovely, delivery drivers not so much. Ordered dinner with my elderly granddad, the driver came to the communal door and rolled his eyes when I a tried to buzz the door. Made me come down because he couldn't be bothered, thankfully it wasn't my granddad ordering on his own. not happened with any other takeaway and I've certainly never had them roll their eyes at me. Won't be ordering again due to the service.

Waited for 20 mins for two cod roe to be cooked. Also wanted a large cod which was already cooked in the display cabinet. Seemed to be a lot of fiddling about when the fish was wrapped up and i am sure that when i got home it was not the piece that was in the display cabinet. The bit we did get was not up to standard being mostly batter and a stronger than usual taste. The wife thinks it may have been Pollock.

First of all, I entered the shop and I thought I'd be greeted with such warmth and joy and it lived up to my expectations. The server rayhan, gave me a wide selection of foods and delicacies to choose from. Service was immaculate, tending to any questions I had about the menu and cared about any allergies or dietary requirements I may have. The food was on another level, very tender and juicy, the curry sauce was one of the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend going to Luton Fish Bar if you are in need of good customer service, excellent food and atmosphere. Will be back again soon!

Haddock and chips - my usual order. Whether in person or via JustEat. Always perfect. Just ask them to fry the fish a wee bit longer.... prefer the batter a bit on the crispy side. These guys have upped their game, hope that continues. Quality important! And much better than Wigmore!!

. Arrived on time. Excellent selection of delicious products. Carefully packed. Arrived on time. Salt and vinegar sprinkled over chips truly enhance the flavour, while a side of curry sauce or gravy takes your meal to a whole new level – and we can't forget about mushy peas. This British classic side is made from dried peas which are soaked overnight with baking soda, then simmered with sugar. The food was excellent and perfect in every way. Thank you!

Horrible staff, bad food, been throwing up after their food. Fish was disgusting and soaked in oil. Better of getting fish from Iceland

Very rude customer service. I called them and ordered for collection half hour ago and they staff said the food will be ready in 15 min for collection. When I went there they completely forgot about my order. I had to wait another 20 min for the food to be prepared. I has told them not to Add mayonni's as an allergic. They refused to exchange the meal or refund the money. I had to leave the food and walk away without an refund. I definitely won't be ordering with them again

Luton fish bar we’re do I begin, it’s the best of the best, always providing an excellent and reliable experience, either when you want a nice cosy meal delivered at home, to when your in a rush and on the go, the quickest and the best of quality. I would definitely recommend the large cod fish and chips, cooked to perfection every time, absolutely exquisite. The staff are always so welcoming and respectful, they are never short of anything. Would definitely recommend to anybody, they never fail to provide an absolutely wonderful experience. 10/10

I should start by saying that if you're from Luton and you are getting your fish & chips from anywhere else, you are doing it all wrong! Crispy, succulent, flavourful and perfectly salted is how I would describe the battered fish. I haven't ever been disappointed with it so I definitely would recommend that! I like the type of chips they use too mainly because have a good amount of potato content and aren't hollow inside. I usually get some vinegar with mine. I've also been addicted to their mixed Donner kebab for a couple of months now... get some chips with it and put the sauces all over it. Absolutely gorgeous. The staff are great folks, always so respectful and friendly. Generally, the waiting times are quite short, the portions are generous and the hygiene is very good. All reasons for why this place is my favourite local chippy.

The other day I ordered a Quarter Pouder with Chips. What a delight that turned out to be. Absolutely amazing. Firstly, the shop is absolutely clean. The staff is friendly and very efficient. The prices are quite reasonable and the food is excellent. And I Love the fact that its very close to my home. What a beautiful addition to the Halal Food scene in Luton. Well done guys, keep it up. The fish was so greasy the grease ran down my hand and arm 1 hr 30 mins later my stomach churning and feeling sick many people have said they won't go there I thought I would try for myself never again worst I have ever had

Over the past couple of years we've had fish & chips and burger & chips and they have always been generous potions, beautiful cooked & tasty and the meals were still hot when I got back home. So very glad I tried this fish and chip shop two years ago.

I Ordered fish and chips on the phone and specifically asked for EXTRA vinegar but when I got it there was hardly any vinegar on the fish and chips and they tasted quite plain. I enjoy lots of vinegar on my fish and chips and being really hungry was looking forward to it. Apparently they do not listen to a customer’s specific request!!

4 of us went there just before they were closing. We were welcomed and served very politely and warmly. Food was very very tasty. Only slight criticism would be that the fish and chips didn't have extra salt and vinegar as we had requested but definitely would recommend and will be coming back
