Friendly Bar Staff, I attended a Sip & Paint Event & I felt welcomed and comfortable.

Fantastic place for a drink, pizza from the pizza bus and a regular bike night. Friendly staff, great parking and vosy rear garden gazebo area with fire pit. Prices reasonable and worth a visit. Great drinking point before a football game across the road for Peterborough United FC

Good was at a good price and tasted amazing, service was brilliant and polite.

This pub had a bit of a bad reputation in the past, but under current management has become quite a nice place for a drink or food. The Pizzas are lovely, nice thin bases and cooked in a wood-fired stove! The outside area has been made really nice, the double decker bus is a nice touch and really adds to the ambience! The current management are active on social media and are always posting events that cater for families in addition to match-days at the Posh ground located just opposite.

Didnt have food its just a pub in need of refurbishment there was only 1 person apart from barmaid in the pub

Should have taken a photo. It was so bad, that I won't even give the food 1 star. We don't know Peterborough very well. We Googled pubs serving food all day, because we were suddenly very hungry. We had lost track of time! Saw the 4 star rating, reasonable prices and was close by. We felt we couldn't go wrong! We were in for a shock! Kitchen staff had no experience or even basic qualifications! Way overpriced, child portions, luke warm plates and food. Sadly, I have nothing good to say, Truthfully, I have never had to give such a bad review, to a food place before. The entire pub, a dive and should be shut down.

Friendly, welcoming staff and good food! I don't normally enjoy going out on my own but my husband was at the beer festival so I stopped in here for some dinner. Reasonably priced, freshly prepared food and the staff was lovely.

Staff is amazing food is amazing perfect place for family to have a nice time out. Staff are very friendly and live music is fun to have a sing and dance to. I recommend highly if wanting fun time out with friends and family.

Went to watch my friends band here. Not as big as I thought it was but there is 2 rooms , Main pub and a Function room . The Beer Garden area is a good size though they would've played outside of it weren't for the rain lol. Reasonable prices , overall enjoyed my night here

Absolutely terrible place .. dirty .. grime all over , awful bar staff.. I’m sure they are charging what ever they want for drinks as both pints I ordered where different prices .. selling foreign cigarettes.. the landlord is a disgusting person who speaks down to you . Smells awful as the landloser is smoking in the pub. The locals look like they have crawled out the bins in the back. Only decent thing is the Thai food .. avoid this place at all costs..

If this was a hotel it would be three star, however that's not a dig the beer is well looked after and it has a nice beer garden, it's just the clientele that let's it down.

Came here most Posh home match days throughout this season, and staff have always been great, serving large amounts of ever thirsty punters efficiently. The guys behind the bar and doormen have also been awesome when serving any needs of my sight impaired mate who I'm always visiting with! Thanks everyone, and looking forward to coming in again next season 💙

I like playing tournament style pub poker with friends so it's great that this central pub is doing a poker night. They start at 7pm and how long you're there depends on how good you are and how lucky you are I guess. Really friendly and lots of fun.

A great Saturday night out. The staff were lovely and the Thai food was awesome together with the live music made it a fantastic night. So looking forward to going back again

Advertised food, when I asked they said they could do fish and chips or pizza, so very limited. Loud music, TV blaring, fruit machine making a load of noise at 6:30 in the evening. Would not recommend.

These young ladies, whose names I never asked sorted a bolt taxi for me and my disabled friend. Had a taxi in 4 minutes other firms 45min wait!. Sorry I had angry head on girls. You were both stars. To the owners of the pub, please, you could stop bothering all the neighbors with that horrible music, which squeaks and goes out of tune more than a chicken ... if the music were at least good, I would appreciate it! But I can't stand it's horrendous music, I give it a super ZERO 🥴🙉🤷🏻‍♀️👎👎👎

Since under new ownership The Peacock has improved so much, it is honestly amazing. At The Peacock you have something for everyone from live music nights to an amazing dj and disco, to karaoke nights and live sports on the television and pool tables! The staff are all so lovely and welcoming! They make your time at The Peacock that more enjoyable! Drinks are all reasonably priced and on Friday’s and Saturday’s they do cocktails which are amazing!! They are different and so yummy! Thank you to everyone at The Peacock for making my time there so brilliant. I will see you soon!!

Went to the peacock pub saturday arrived before 12 noon as traveled up from the south west to watch the match between The Posh and Argyle. I was told the pub was ok for away fans and it was I was welcomed along with other argyle fans, I would say the pub is ok its a tipical pub near a football ground, the staff welcomed the fans, they had a nice beer garden , great to see a Cornish pint of Doom bar on tap and it tasted lovely :) the meals are good priced and it was tasteing great for a football pub! Great to watch the pre match game on Sky Sports on loads of TVs and there is a pool table as well. All in all a good visit and ideal only 3min walk to the ground plus I saw they do matchday carparking as well if the other carparks are full. Thankyou again for a good welcome.

Oh dear, if you're going to run a pub that's a bit of a dive, it's always best to have cheap drinks! Overpriced drinks (£4+ for watered down grolsch!) combined with grimy surroundings is not a recipe for success!

My wife and myself went to watch Peterborough v Chesterfield so went to this pub as it was the closest to the ground , good clean pub with friendly bar staff , we both had chicken baguette to eat , really tasty and a good size ,all in all a good pub

Had dinner in this old pub. It is not a trendy place nor is it 'mock' traditional just a good old pub that hasnt been messed about with and it serves good plain food. It mus also attract honest locals because my friend left her handbag behind and it was still there in the morning. Would recommend highly.

I visited the Peacock for Sunday Lunch as I had heard that they had just started doing food, although not the poshest pub in town nor does it boast the best views, having said that I couldn't fault anything, the food, the staff or the service How refreshing to have a Traditional pub that serves fresh veg and home-made roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings instead of the frozen type most pubs seam to use. You could choose from a selection of three different meats or have a bit of each along with great home-made roast potatoes and very good selection of Fresh vegetables all for £6.95 Great Value – saves cooking and no washing up !!

seems quiet mid week but friendly all the same. weekends seem to be best for them, its worth a visit if you fancy a quick drink, the staff are nice

The peacock isn't the most attractive pub, but there is a nice atmosphere, the lager is cold and it is located very close to the football ground. There isn't much beer selection but the service is good.

There are no previous reviews for this establishment. The Peacock is a traditional pub with multi-activities available with pool and darts teams. It has Sky Sports and multiple function rooms. It is ideally located for a few pints before the match as it is situation directly opposite Peterborough Uniteds ground on London Road.There are doormen on match days, but they don't appear to mind away fans in their foofball shirts to have access and mingle with the home supporters, which is a good friendly feeling.Good traditional pub.

Peacock is a good pub and it's a family aswell staff are good it's good on footy days good laugh cheap beer get down there and they have good entertainment aswell x
