We went to the small family wedding and was extremely pleased with the restaurant they went out of their way to accommodate everyone including putting a extra chicken dish on for some of the guests who didn’t like what was on the menu. They were extremely obliging to the one guest who did nothing but complain and embarrassed us all. Thank you to all the staff who did their best considering it is not a wedding venue.

WOW, what an amazing lunch today, me my partner and mum could not of asked for anything better, the service from Lotty was amazing as always, so welcoming, friendly and always goes the extra mile to serve us. The food was outstanding it felt like Christmas in March, turkey toast, Christmas pudding, coffee and baileys. 5 Star across the board. We absolutely love it here every Sunday for lunch. We'll done to all of you. Keep up the great work Lotty your amazing at your job.

Not a bad little pub with mediocre food, it was okay, nothing to write home about. However, one thing I do not like is the 10% service charge that is automatically added to the bill. I only found this out a week later as silly me, looked at the receipt when I removed it from my walking jacket pocket. There should be signs up stating this, and staff should advise you of this charge prior to payment, this is sneaky and deceitful. I won't be rushing back, and quite happy to promote this underhand charge to the wide world. Perhaps the pub owners should pay a decent wage to their staff instead of expecting customers to top up their salary? Stinks..!

The worst place to eat I’ve ever experienced, the service was appalling the food terrible, after a day out we decided not to cook but to eat out as the green man is local to us we went there to try it we ordered drinks and food, The food came after an hour no one came to ask if we needed any more drinks, two ordered green Thai chicken curry the other three different mains the Thai curry was only just warm the rice was plain boiled rice the chicken curry was watery and tasteless and a small portion (thankfully), the other three people had just warm food and didn’t enjoy it at all so we ordered dessert to try and get some taste, that was also very disappointing the apple crumble didn’t have much apple the crumble tasted hardly cooked plain taste and again hardly warm the ones that had custard said the custard was nearly cold and the crumble tasted hardly cooked not sweetened and the crumble was not browned on top just like a doughy taste. I would never go back there again or obviously recommend it.

The tea rooms has 3 distinct areas to sit, no bookings taken so in high season or busy times a queue might be there. There are some chairs in the queue area for those who need it. There's overflow parking too. We chose to sit in the marquee area as it was quieter than in the main restaurant. There's outdoor seating too. We ordered the afternoon tea at £50 for 2 people - average price for the area. It was gorgeous. We weren't offered any range of teas however so these may not be on offer? You could have your teapot refreshed as often as needed. You get a choice of 2 sandwiches from a list of about 10 different choices, we had coronation chicken and salmon and cream cheese. Then the scones with jam and clotted cream were gorgeous. Mini choc brownie, walnut cake, cherry bakewell and macaron topped you up and we couldn't possibly eat anything else.

Food very good but expensive,£ 8 for a sandwich.Waited a long time for the order to arrive. The ladies serving were efficient. However,it's not nice to see the staff eating chips and drinking behind the counter.I work in the food service industry,we have to have our drinks out of sight,in the kitchen area, which is as it should be.

To us this felt a bit more of a ‘diner’ than a tearoom. We only had coffees which were fine and were served to our table with a smile. There was rather a strong smell indoors of the frying burgers/chips and tables were rather cramped but there was ample outdoor seating. There’s also a takeaway service from a ‘window’. It was a very popular place with lots of efficient young staff.

Great little pub. Friendly staff and good beers. On a recent visit though, because there was football on TV the pub was far too quiet. Locals only turn out on match days it seems. Not as enjoyable as on previous visits.
